How could we not like Best Buy? Love the new loyalty program with free delivery and extended warranty. Greeted nicely when entering the store.

Standard Best Buy store.Upon entry to the store, you are greeted by a team member who will ask how you can be helped or what you are looking for.The premise is that greeter person will then direct you to where you need to go.It may be a good service for Best Buys customers in general; But when I told the individual I was Ok and didnt need help, they were not happy and their attitude/frustration was seen.
They used to be the place to go and now they kind of are a emergency or in and out store when you cannot wait for a online order. They should really look into being more like micro center to stay relevant in the future.
Will never buy another phone from Best Buy in Shakopee, MN. I had a terrible experience the first time with it taking them 2hrs to activate the phone due to multiple errors made by several people with poor communication of what the last person did. I should have learned my lesson, but I returned today (2 yrs since the last experience). I purchased an Iphone 13. The person assisting us asked my phone carrier. I told him Sprint. He told me the phone would be $699 +tax. A different guy assisted at checkout, and stated the phone is $799 +tax, and that T-mobile is $699, but Sprint is $799. I went ahead with the purchase anyways. He asked me to confirm that the address was correct. I told him it was my old address. He told me to sign everything, and that he could change the address later, and would email me confirmation. We left the store, and got a call that he could not change the address, and I needed to call Best Buy corporate to change the delivery address. I was on the phone for over an hour with 5 different people who ultimately said they cannot change the address or cancel the order. I was told they are going to intercept the package and deliver it to my correct address, but at this point, I do not believe anything they say.

I purchased a trackball from them awhile back. A few days ago I got an alert that the battery needed to be changed. I couldnt get into it. Its harder than youd think. So I went to the Geek Squad counter and they told me that they couldnt get the battery and it wasnt worth the trouble. Buy a new one. So I walked over and guess what, the best one they sell is the one I brought in for a battery change. Same manufacturer, model and everything. $99 later I have two now and when I searched I found the battery on Amazon. Im less than impressed.
Walk in to the store to about 6 employees sitting in a table I was welcome and ask if needed assistance. After about a minute I needed help with a hard drive ask a guy in the table he ask another guy to help me when I told him what I needed he took me to the area and show me 2 product when I ask if is going to work I was told “IT SHOULD”. That not reassuring these associates need to be train more on the product on the floor or ask for help. I left I told the guy sitting down on the table by the entrance he just said to me good luck. He was not rude. But didn’t care to help either I don’t know how these brands sale in the store if the people on the store don’t know anything about them (Microsoft). I needed a hard drive for the Xbox series S. But I’ll just buy it online, no wonder these store are going out of business.
A much smaller and more limited selection than some of the other local stores. Really caught me off guard. We were in the area and decided to stop by for a quick pickup rather than detouring to Eden Prairie like we normally would; still ended up in Eden Prairie since we were unable to get what we were looking for. Bummer to see dwindling selections of media/games.

Had a horrible experience, my father went into this location earlier and was addressed by a woman and was asked what he needed, he let her know he needed some wiring, she proceed to hold him in the entry way and stated that she will have someone bring the wires to him.My father wanted to go into the store to look around and talk to someone in the speaker section she refused to let him enter the store.He then had to go back to the store where I went as well, to return the item that was picked by an employee.We proceeded to walk into the store and the new greeters at the door were fine and said hi welcome, we walked by the lady that was holding my father at the door and she stared at both my father and I.Least to say my father didnt feel welcome in a store were he should and will not be attending this location in the future.
Oh so not impressed! I felt like someone took my birthday away. Store total rearranged, a lot less merchandise on display in the store. I guess I like seeing the real product 😌 I like to test it, handle it. I stillintend on buying product from best buy, its just not a good sign when the product it not even on display in the store.
We spent an hour trying to get a TV. Everyone we picked was not in stock. Finally at the request of the salesman we ordered a model at another store and were assured it would be there waiting for us. Twenty minutes later after paying for it in advance we were told it was not in stock. Having to drive from city to city to get one is not super great. Perhaps dont try and sell items you dont have in stock or can not hold for a mere 25 minutes.

Staff was very nice but not truthful I bought a product and asked if all neisary hook up cables were in the product was assured that they were by 2 different staff members however the cables did not come in the product and now I have a device I cant even use.
Could of used more help. The guy @ the front was on his phone the entire time.
Great experience beginning with the first step into the store. Staff pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. My purchase experience was delightful; Alex, a Marketing Manager assisted me in my selection of the right product (Chromebook) for me. I will definitely continue to shop Best Buy!
Strange new procedures at Best buy these days. Seems like they are moving toward a order online pick up in store model. Remodeled interior would he consistent with that.

This used to be my go-to Best Buy location but they renovated it and slimmed it down too much. Very limited selection of everything and is going to become more of a hub warehouse location for online sales. Tried to support them since they are based in Minnesota, but if they are adjusting their sales model to more of an online approach, it means that Ill be adjusting my purchasing habits as well. With that, Ill probably just order from Amazon from here on out due to this. Sorry BB, really wanted to support the brick and motor operation but not going to be driving farther and opt to shop online elsewhere.

Awesome job today, my husband placed an order for a charging cord for my laptop. When I arrived way before the confirmation email for pickup, I told the awesome, athletic associate I needed to pick up quickly because my laptop was almost dead and I had a meeting in 10 minutes. She literally ran to help me get out quickly. Sorry I didnt catch her name. Above and beyond customer service!

On a recent visit to purchase a modem, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
I was very disappointed. All I needed was a new phone case, I didnt even get acknowledged I was in the store once I got the dept. where the cases were. I looked around for about 10 min, there was 2 employees helping other people.....all I was looking for was acknowledgement that I was there and theyd get to me ASAP...I walked out!

Its a disappointing store. Most of the shelves are empty besides the this item is sold out signs occupying more spaces than actual products. I like Best Buy but this store just screams Were coming Circuit City! I will most likely make the trip to the Richfield or Burnsville locations instead from here on out.

Open layout of the store helps with social distancing, they have a desk set up at the entrance with someone to help route you to the right section of the store and check inventory if you know what youre looking for, as well as get an employee in that section connected with you to help you out

Its a great place to window shop makes and models of gear before likely buying it online. The place is rarely busy, which is odd since its a busy shopping area with WalMart and Sams Club right there as well.If you go in knowing what you want, it can be very quick...lots more check out, return and service than needed generally.
I dont know how many employees walked by me, empty handed, not helping other customers, just moving around the store to look busy. I stood in front of the car stereo display for half an hour, I even picked up and held one in the box for a few minutes... Not a single associate asked if I needed anything. Maybe I need to pick up and hold the $800 stereo and not the $500 one. 🙄 There goes another one......... What the eff.
Dont bother using the phone number for the Shakopee, MN location. They never pick up, permanently on hold. Been on hold for about a week.

Used to be the store I went to all the time, but now it’s like pulling teeth to try to get someone to help you there. No one EVER answers the phone, so don’t even try calling. You will be put on hold indefinitely.Not sure what’s going on over there, but they need to figure it out.

Unbelievable. I went in for my appointment to have my battery replaced, an appointment I made a week ago through Apple. The guy told me he couldn’t get it done because it was just “too hard” for them to do it tonight and I’d have to leave my phone with them until tomorrow, or make another appointment and come back a different time. He said they “had to run a lot of tests” and he didn’t know why Apple let people make appointments for the evening because they don’t really have anyone to do it right now, because they are “real busy.” I took my phone and walked out.
Sad to say that this particular location is not the place to go if you want electronics items that would normally be found at best buy. Lots of empty shelves not many employees. Ghost town like atmosphere. Sad.
Usually have a good experience here. I typically check stock online before heading out because I know exactly what Im looking for. Return process for legitimate returns is seamless, painless, and quick. Star lost due to inattentive/unknowledgeable staff when I needed a product unlocked/had questions regarding a product. Will shop here again.
Placed an order online for curbside pickup. The store was closing at 6 and we could not make it in time. Called the store manager Joe, and he agreed to wait for us a few minutes after close. Was very helpful for us as we needed the item quickly. Superior customer service!
Staff on the mark. Seating is limited, so when busy you may have to stand. But thats okay if you can get a great clip.

DO NOT PRE ORDER FROM BEST BUY. Unless you want to receive whatever it is you pre ordered after everyone else. They also have some of the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. They will lie to you, keep you on hold for overly long periods of time, and hang up on you. Every person I would talk to (and it was a handful since they hung up on me), would give you different information. It feels like they just give any info they can to end the call, whether its wrong, misleading, or whatever. Avoid pre ordering from Best Buy if you can. Choose pretty much anywhere else to save yourself a headache and a bunch of hassle.

Take my car in for a remote start work for day didn’t start the next day car won’t start they saying it was the starter fault but car was work fine until they install the remote start the management was useless in help to fine a solution told me I trust my installer had my car for 3 year start every time but when they instill my remote start it now the starter fault had to pay to tow it there now I have to pay to tow it to the dealership I am disappointed how useless they were would not recommend

My wife and 3 little kids went in to best buy to get her phone replaced because we had best buys insurance. The insurance department over the phone made us an appointment. When she got there they told her because it was a older model phone she had to go to an Apple store to get it taken care of. I tried calling in and talked to the manager Travis and he told me there was nothing that can be done. BEST BUYS INSURANCE IS A SCAM!!! I bet this is happening to tons of people and personally think someone should start a class action lawsuit so we can stop this from happening to others.

Found what I was looking for, but nobody around to help me. 5 people standing up front and sales people walking around! Asked someone for assistance, he said whenever someone was available they’d come over. Waited another 20 minutes and left.
I tried out the pickup counter and it was great! I needed to use a check and hadnt written one there before and with Telecheck, if you havent done so they automatically deny you but Best Buy took it anyway and thanked me for coming in! That is exactly what great customer service should be! I would give more stars if applicable

I will never go to best buy in shakopee again. They have rescheduled my stereo appointment twice. They have rescheduled me for a month out each time. I bought the stereo 3.5 months ago. There installer has been out sick for 6 weeks. The first time I took off work and drove there, to find ot had been cancelled. Then when I asked to talk to the manager the second time. I was put on hold for 21 minutes. That is just some of the issues. I dont understand why they cant pay there guys over time for there mistakes. Absolutely horrible customer service. I do not recommend getting anything installed here. Also, talking to others, has happened to many people in the last few months
