*DO NOT RECOMMEND* -- Issues at the endSummary: Come in to get A/C checked out. Air filtered changed last year. Freon full. Friends who work on their cars suggested getting the air compressor checked in a shop.I brought my car to the shop and met with Brian, the mechanic. I told him what we have checked out and discussed that I am concerned about my air compressor. Brian said he would run a diagnostic and his boss said it would be $69.99. I was hesitant, but since this has been going on and finding a mechanic/auto shop to even take a look at it has been difficult, let’s do it.An hour later, Brian came out and stated that he believes the hose/tubes are blocked up and 9 out of 10 times flushing it and unclogging it will take care of the problem. I asked if he was sure and confident, and he gave the nod that most of the time it will solve the issue. Cost? $380. Time? It would take at least 4 hours and they would close the next day. I will have to pick it up Thursday morning.Thursday, AM: I come in with my mom and Brian met us at the front. He said that it was not unclogged at they would have to flush it again that morning. He said he will not charge for that and it should be ready in the afternoon.I get a phone call around noon. Brian said to call his boss since he’s better at explaining A/C problems. I called his boss, Rick Dunn, and was told that the clog in the hose backed up and destroyed the air compressor. The air compressor needs to be replaced. The cost? $1300 – and Rick said he discounted ~$200-300. I would have to come back in 2 weeks to have this done too. After a quick discussion with my parents, we decided no. I called Rick and told him we will pass and will come get the car. I stated in a calm manner how unhappy I was with the situation and he said he was sorry. It will be $493.83 (including tax) and that they only take cash and money order – and that they had signs on the wall stating that. I was shocked. My dad and I get there, and we try to negotiate. He tried to sell it off that the discount was in the air compressor and labor if we chose that, but the diagnostic and flush needs to be paid in full. We discussed that the problem was missed-diagnosed and our initial concern with the air compressor. We stated that approximately $500 later, the problem has not been fixed and it would cost almost $1500 and 2 weeks to get it fixed. Rick said that you cannot check the air compressor without running the diagnostic they did by unclogging the hose first and flushing that out. We asked if that was their expertise and there was no other way – answer, yep that is how they do it. No negotiation? None. I asked how do most people pay for this? He said, they usually can’t – in other words, he would get to keep the car. He stated that is how he does business, and he has 14(?) other auto shops like this that are great. Additionally, he is from Florida and goes back and forth from there a lot too.My issues: Diagnostics can be run on the air compressor without having to go through the hose. Even so, if they had taken off the diagnostics fee and a discount of the flush, we would have been fine – it would have been a mistake but paid for what they did. No. We invested $500 with the problem not solved only to be lured into putting in $1300+ dollars to finally getting to the problem – our initial concern. Additionally, I understand not allowing credit/debit cards and such, but local business checks or other means to pay? Nope. Just straight up cash. On top of that, I looked at the invoiced I initialed. Added on AFTER I had initialed is “No refunds, may need additional work” and “no refunds, I agree that other work may be needed.” The inconsistency with the agreement/invoice AFTER I had initialed is quite alarming and shows the businesses dishonest methods. Their website says “guaranteed satisfaction.” In my opinion, just like how we were conned, it should say “No guaranteed satisfaction” to reflect what we (and what it seems like) many others have been through.
More like do you wrong auto repair. This place will absolutely take advantage of you. I was there on vacation found a split in the side wall of my tire decided I didn’t want to go far to get new tires and found this place. I wish I would have gone somewhere else. Claimed the reason why his tires are so much money is cause he only uses high quality tires. Looked up the no name brand after I left and they are made in India. Does not accept cards only cash or money orders cause he knows he is con. Literally looked up the tires and I could have easily paid half of what this crook charged at Walmart or discount tire. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague!
I brought my car in and Rick told me it would be 3 days and $400, 3 days later it was another 3 days and another $400. 2 weeks later and he wanted to charge me $1200 and couldnt (or wouldnt) give me a list of what work they had done on the car. I became so fustrated that I just left the car there, which was his plan all along. I called to buy a car from someone on Craigs list and he said he knows Rick, he had done the same thing to him. He knew him from Florida, which apparently he was run out of the state. Done Wrong, I dont know how they sleep at night. Terrible business practices and I had my own business for 25 years, so I know how business is supposed to be conducted. Do Not Go There!
We were on vacation and our car had a small problem. We did not bring the tools to fix it so we decided just to have someone do it. Easy fix. But like I said no tools. We called before hand and was told to bring it in at 9:30 and the the boss/owner would look at it himself. We got there and he wasn’t there. Dropped it off and walked around to pass time. The guy didn’t get there till noon and he called and said it’s be $300-$400 and it wouldn’t be done till the next day. We had no car we were on vacation so we picked it up, the guy pretty much threw the keys at us. We got home and the mechanic we took it to fixed it for free because all that was wrong was the bolt was to short. Two longer bolts and it was fixed? Sounds like they either didn’t look at it or thought they could swindle vacationers. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND!!!
Good honest quality work. Hard to find honest and quality these days. Went in for one issue that wasn’t even a problem. I could of easily been taken advantage of and charged hundreds. Instead there was no charge and they in detail explained what my real issue were.
I wouldnt even give this place a one star but had to for a review This guy is a total ripoff,,, being just a tourist there he will bend you over. Had bad tires that needed replaced. So that gives him the right to charge double the cost it should have been.Ask to use the restroom because we were there for over an hour and a half and he wouldnt let us use the restroom. We had three little kids. Then he would not take a credit card or check he said it had to be cash so had to go to the store to get a money order to pay the man that evidently did not have a conscience and can do this to innocent people. But again he would probably treat his own mother and family that way. Dont go here go to Walmart or Sams anywhere but this place!!!!!!!
Would have given 0 stars if I could!! Here on my honeymoon, and got a flat tire. Called them as they were only about 1.5 miles from where I pulled over at. Guy told me his tow guy was going to be about an hour and a half wait. So, I said ok and we waited. 2 hours later, I called to try and get an ETA, and no one answered. I left a messaging asking for a return call, with a rough idea of about how much longer. No call back. Called several more times, no answer. Took the tire off myself, got an Uber there. Sign on the door said open til 6pm, and they were closed....I had arrived at 5:34pm. So because they told me they were coming, and I waited so long for them, all the other tire places were closed! Thankfully, some really sweet guys took pity on me, and patched me up to get to where I needed to tonight, and will be going elsewhere in the morning for all new tires.
Complete scammers, the 5 star reviews are fake, find them on BBB or yelp for honest reviews. These guys just keep adding to the bill until you refuse more repairs, then make you sign off saying no refunds because you refuse to make needed repairs. They take advantage of out of towners, just like many other reviewers say.I Brought my car in for an obvious wheel bearing humming sound and a CV shaft clicking. They told me Id need a $68 inspection to tell me what is wrong. After that, they told me it needs ball joints for $700. I told them it is a wheel bearing and CV shaft noise, told them I wanted the CV shaft and bearing replaced, they would not do that unless they did ball joints too, so it went up to $1300.After my car was apart, they told me it needs control arm bushings, brakes and sway bar links for a other $1000 (but failed to mention that after I paid to have a suspension inspection). I refused and they kept the $1300 and only changed the ball joints and CV shaft. So I left there with the original complaint of not addressed. The brakes were 75% or better (see pics), no play in the bushing or end links. They beat on the steering knuckle so hard that the brake bridge mounting bolt would not fit or tighten correctly. Never greased the new ball joints because they never put the grease fittings in at all. Did not reinstall the brake pad anti-rattle clips and bent the dust shields into the rotors. I left there with the same bad bearing and all kinds new noises and problems. These guys cannot even install a corner pin correctly (see pic). They next day, I got in another shop. They said my brakes were fine, it will just need new rotors the next time the pads wear out. Also the bushings and sway bar links were fine. They seen that the bearing was not that old and were able to get it warranty on it. Seriously, $130 in labor and 2 hours got us back on our vacation.Nothing at Done Right is done right. Avoid these hacks at all costs.
The best place around to go. A part on our rental came off we went here and we were in and out in 10 minutes. They are so nice and personable
Went in on a broken tire valve, turned out we needed new tires immediately before heading on the road. He was honest, affordable, and quick. Saved us on a possible blow out. Thanks Rick.
Rick and his team were fantastic! We were very impressed with the service on our vehicle as well as the friendly conversation and information for some out of towners! I highly recommend Done right to do it right for you! Thanks again Rick!
Rick was awesome. I was on vacation and my car messed up. Rick explained everything thoroughly and was extremely nice. Rick and Dave fixed the issue and went above and beyond for me. They made sure everything was in good condition for me to drive home. They got everything done in a timely manner. Great experience.
I was on spring break vacation with my wife and kid in Gatlinburg Tenn. At the Wild Bear Indoor waterpark had a great time. On the way back to Atlanta from Tennessee we got a blowout then I noticed Done Right Automotive on the way. I decided to pull over get me a tire just to hop back on the road. It was on a Sunday evening and everything was closed or about to close. I stepped and meet the actual owner of the business. Mr Done himself took care of me very friendly great conversation, great great guy. He gave us a tire for a awesome price and we were on our way highly recommend highly recommend
We needed same day service on our coolant system. We were on vacation and worried about significant vehicle issues. We called at 130 PM on a Sunday asking about service and availability. They were able to get us in 30 minutes later for same day service. Turns out we didnt need anything other than coolant system flush and fluid replacement and added oil. They were professional, expeditious, and straight shooters.
Everyone at this place is seriously dishonest. Do not go here.My wifes nephew from out of town mistakenly went here and of course got ripped off. Sunday evening they were the only ones open and they sold him a tire that did not fit on the rim. I told him where to go to get it aired up and told him they would give him a refund if it did not fit. Unfortunately what they say with words does not count. My nephew did not notice they wrote on the receipt no refunds. Of course.Read all the reviews for this place. They are crooked.
Great service, Great bunch of guys. If your in need of repairs this is the place to go.
Repaired a front drivers seat..First repair was unacceptable as they used wood in place of the regular parts. I couldnt believe it. I took the vehicle back. He agreed to fix it correctly but refused to take my credit card. I had to go get cash from my bank and pay him. This was because he was afraid of a charge back on my credit card if the work was unacceptable as the first attempt was. The second repair was satisfactory. Ive never used the company again and strongly recommend no one does.
If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Stay away from this scam artist. I blew a spark plug and he told me the threads were ripped off and it would cost about $400. Next day he said gas mixed in with the oil because of the spark plug and that he had to do an oil change and replace the fuel injector. So it would cost another $300. After tax and all I paid $941. Got my truck back and drove it down the road to work thinking everything was fine. Left work that night and got 5 miles down the road and heard the spark plug blow again. He doesnt take card at all because he knows you can get your money back through a dispute claim!! Save yourself the frustration and help put this thief out of business
Great service. The owner was incredibly helpful to my son when his car had a flat. They sent someone to help get the tire off, took it back to the shop to replace it, and then brought it back and put it on the car. They went above duty to help. I highly recommend them.
Called for a quote. Super shady tactics stated he would not quote brake job over phone. But pads were $80. Hung up called Firestone was quoted $360 Five Oaks $329 I imagine someone going to this guy expecting to pay $80.00 would be in shock. I would never do business with someone who refuses to quote a job up front.
All of the 5 star reviews are made up. Out of towners get scammed EVERY time!! DO NOT USE THEM EVEN IF ITS THE VERY LAST RESORT!!!! Insurance scammers and extended warranty scammers!!
My wife and I were road tripping through Tennessee in early April, when my 2013 Ford Focus started breaking down. We were heading back home, so we were desperate to get the car fixed so we could head back to Chicago. We called several shops but none could take us in day of, except for Done Right Automotive that is. My car went into their shop on April 8th, 2021. I ended up needing a new transmission (Ford Focus’s are known for this kind of trouble I found out). They wanted a little over $2,100 for the repairs, all of it upfront. Ok, not a problem. Rick and Dave were very nice up front, so I trusted them with my car to fix my transmission. Meanwhile we flew back up to Chicago.Weeks go by, and I’m calling them here and there to ask for updates and typically I would get some answer saying they needed another week. About a month after dropping my car off, I get a call from Done Right explaining that my Dual Clutch is broken, and that also needed to be repaired (This is about the beginning of May I think). They wanted another $2,500ish to repair it, upfront. Ok, fine, my car is covered through warranty through all these things so it’s fine.Weeks keep going by, and I keep calling here and there and again, typically I was told they needed another week. Nearly two months have passed since I first dropped off my car and I STILL do not have my car. One day, I decided to call Rick and explain to him that I need my car back and that I want to be able to have it shipped THAT week, fixed or not (This is towards the end of May I believe). This is when Rick started getting frustrated with me and explained that I can have my car back, but it will come in pieces, because at the time the car was pretty much taken apart, or at least that’s what I was told. I decided that I DO NOT want my car shipped back in pieces, obviously. Rick told me they had all the parts now, and I would receive it in about a week. A little over a week later, Dave (the mechanic) calls me to tell me that my car is all put together, and that in a couple days it will be on a tow truck to the Ford dealership to get programed. The light is finally at the end of the tunnel, or so I thought. The day that my car was supposed to head to the Ford dealership, I get a call from Dave again. This next part is unbelievable.Dave explains to me that while they left my car outside, someone got under my hood and slashed my main harness. This made my car undriveable, and my car wouldn’t even start. Now the police are involved because my car was vandalized on their property. I filed a police report with the Sevierville PD, and I got on the phone with an officer. The police officer told me that Done Right admitted to him that they left my car outside unlocked (I can not prove this myself, that’s just what I was told), and that they were not willing to take responsibility (Done Right did not say that to me themselves, this is just what I was told). The police officer also told me this shop is NOT reputable, and that they’ve had issues with this shop before. Shortly after, Geico sent someone in to inspect my car and deemed it totaled. My car was totaled while in their hands, and I was told by the police officer they were not willing to take responsibility. Rick and Dave didn’t seem to show any sympathy either.Fortunately for me, I was reimbursed for everything I paid through warranty and insurance, but this shop did waste a lot of my time and they caused a lot of headache. I went through two months of stress, and no car, all to find out in the end that I need to go car shopping. As far as Rick goes, he is kind if you stay on his good side, but if you start to question him or challenge him, he will get very frustrated with you, or at least that was my experience. By the end of this I would not trust them with my car if I were you. They did not communicate well, Rick would get frustrated with me if I questioned him, and ultimately my car was totaled while on this shop’s property. If I could go back, I would have waited the extra day for a different shop to look at my car.
They gave me a good price to install my lift kit and alignment.. wasnt aligned right if I let go of steering wheel it heads straight into the ditch. They left my lines loose and left something off my 4x4 so during the snow storm I had to drive every where in 2wheel drive of course they said it wasnt anything they done but soon as I got all up in their but and they knew I wasnt paying for anything else they fixed it at o charge.. Ill never take anything there to get repairs ever again
DO NOT COME HERE, A TOTAL SCAM! We are from out of town and on memorial day one of our brake calipers locked and caused our back tire to smoke. We called many shops but none were open except this one, on the phone the owner rick promised to take care of us but little did we know he is a wonderful liar. We went to his shop and he made us wait almost four hours outside in terrible weather, charged us $200 for new brakes even though on his website they are only supposed to be around $40 all for him to do absolutely no work besides SPRAYPAINT the part that was supposed to be replaced to make it seem new. Two days later we had to take the car to a different shop for a new sound in the back as well as the brake line that he pulled down and was hanging by our tire, thats when they informed us that the part was never fixed just spray painted. We again had to pay more than $600 for the work that was supposed to be done in the first place. Apparently he is known around here for doing things like this, and he has many lawsuits, as well as the one that will be coming from us. Again please do not go here, ask any of the garages around, they call him the “done wrong” shop!
Rick is the man! Me and my husband will not be going anywhere else! Honest and his work is rite! 10/10 RECOMMENDED!!
This is an amazing auto center that is extremely professional, helpful and generous in going above the call of duty. I am an elderly woman and often we are taken advantage of for our lack of knowledge with cars. I feel comfortable that they not only honestly take care of what I need done, but also go the extra mile or even two to take car of my car. I thank them for all they do and hope that others will find this valuable auto repair service!
My husband and I are from out of town and needed and oil change for our pickup. The gentlemen were really nice and quick! Good prices! Highly recommend!!
Do not use this shop EVER! I toke my 2012 Dodge 2500 here for brakes. This included the front brakes and one rotor. They charged me almost $2,000! They knew I was at their mercy as I was visiting the area. I had no choice to pay the bill in cash as they dont take credit cards. I asked the owner why and he said he had too many charge backs. I called other shops to see how much they charge for the same service and they were all around $1,000.The shop owner was very unprofessional. I told him that I felt he was overcharging. His hired help said if I didnt stop complaining he would cut my brake lines causing me to have an accident. They said they would have the truck done same day, then they changed to next morning. It finally got done by next afternoon. So finally got on my way home. Guess what? The truck brakes lost all fluid where they were not installed correctly. I had to take it to another shop to fix Done Rights Mistake!Google this shop, you will see they have been on local news stations for fraudulent activities and not honoring warranties.
I was vacationing with my fiancé when my passenger front tire blew out. I was greeted by the owner politely and professionally and guaranteed that I would be in and out quick. He changed my tire and balanced it all in 20 minutes for a good price. I paid with my Visa card. I felt the need to mention the card because I saw where a few folks mentioned that he doesn’t accept credit or debit.
Place is simply a ripoff. Believe the bad reviews. Charged me fifty bucks to tell me exactly what I already knew. I need brakes. But they refuse to simply replace brakes without all the nonsense extras that they attempt to rope you into after the initial fifty dollar checking fee. Theyll quote you 70 bucks for the job but i just paid 50 for absolutely nothing. Someone needs to comment if theyve ever gotten this mysterious $69.99 brake job that I was quoted. Good luck if you go here.
Very friendly people with reasonable prices. Will definitely return if needed.
( I only gave this one star because you have to arrow in order to even leave a comment) This business may do things “legally” but the manner in which they run business is not professional. I would call them to ask for updates the first week my car was there because they never took initiative or even gave me a time frame for work completed and when I could expect the car back. Additionally, they gave a $400 to $600 estimate and only after the fact said more needed to be done and charged me $800. Never called to discuss the change or additional work or get my consent (which in my experience is typical from good business practices with customer service). The real icing on the cake was he said “by the way, cash only.” Again some thing they should make clear before hand in my opinion...don’t do business here. He hung up on me when I was explaining this because he wanted to charge me a fee to store it on the day I told him I was picking it up. Then, he gave it back to me with a huge dent on the drivers side..Update: Not only did we get the car back with a huge dent in the drivers side door, after driving the car less than a mile down the road it broke down for the same reason we brought it in for (alternator and electrical issue holding the charge). They admittedly did not test drive to see their work (again run your business how you want but in my experience, usually mechanics check their work), so where did you ask did the 800 dollars go? We’re still trying to figure that out on day 20 of the Done Right auto having the car....Rick said he was going to make things right, saying “I have your back” and was going to fix the dent his employee put in the car (gee thanks). Originally he was upset with the review I left and called and cursed us out...that’s always good customer service lol...but now he wants to charge for the 200 dollar part but going to give “free labor.” They claim they have already put in ten hours of free labor...dude has had the car 20 days and you’d think this would be a priority to fix this car since it’s been there 20 days but nope...and only 10 hours of work with it being in shop 20 days? To Ricks Credit the car was turned off for 3 days however, it was brought to his shop on April 30th and turned off May 10th since we paid the car payment a few days late...this is when he wanted to charge a storage fee of 50 bucks a day...I wish we could charge him 50 bucks a day for every day the car has been there since it’s costing us more money now so we can get to work still...funny how that works out?Our attorney advised us to get an itemized list of the parts and labor and have it looked at after by our usual mechanic to ensure his integrity before pursuing any litigation...I hope Rick makes this right sooner than later, I am thinking about calling Knox News next and doing a story on this place because this is just insane. After reading the reviews seems he often isn’t polite with customers because he owns the business and works for himself which is his prerogative (as I told him) but there are consequences for how you deliver your service. I wish we read the review ahead of time but literally the car broke down in front of his shop (what luck right?) He even said his employee called to say the new part they needed had to be ordered thru the dealership and would take another 5-7 business days to arrive ...we Non mechanics called auto-zone and they have the part and can be available next day...how is it we can do their job more efficiently...at this point I am not surprised however.... but lesson learned.Update: Drove by after work yesterday (because they are no longer returning phone calls apparently) and my car was out front, still with the dent they put in the car...unfixed. It seems as though this company does not care about their customer at all at this point. You’d think they would want to be done with this situation as well now almost going on a month. Rick, if you are reading this, we’ll be in today or tomorrow. At this point I just want my keys and money back to fix the dent you put in it.
Mr. Rick the owner was so nice and professional, and really cared about me and my family safety on the road. I highly recommend!
These guys are great! So nice to know there are still independently owned businesses thriving, that treat you like a person instead of a number and will work with you to get your car back on the road, at a price you can afford. Thank yall so much!
I Am A Senior Citizen Who Is Being Taking Advantage Of At This Point. I Have Paid Over ( $ 3000 Cash 7 Weeks Ago For Transmission Work That Is Not Finished YET. They Keep Doggin Me Around. I Need Help. All I Want Is My SUV Fixed. Joe
Showed up at 5 pm on a saturday with a flat. they were able to mount a new tire and get in put on my car within 30 mins. great guys and great service
He ripped me off saying that my entire brake system needed replaced when I only went in for a tune up. He wouldnt give me the car back or put it back together until I paid. This happened in 2008. I was going to let it slide but I have had too many other people tell me he ripped them off. There are probably enough of us for a class action lawsuit by now.
Horrible business owner and practices. Only if youre rich should you go there.
Not only are they a ripoff but they stole stuff out of my truck. Wish I had read reviews first.
Read the reviews on this auto repair company before using. All I needed was a simple plug for my tire. Was somewhat concerned after reading the reviews. While the reviews talk about the owner being questionable I found that by asking the price upfront and then following them to see them actually do the work I had no problems. I had to wait 20 minutes But felt that was reasonable as it was 5:30 on a Sunday night. Took 3 minutes to actually fix. Ended up paying $40 cash for the plug, which I understand is expensive but considering it was Sunday night at 5:30 I thought it was more than fair, especially since he quoted me slightly higher initially. Once I actually started a conversation with the owner he was very personable and friendly. My suggestion is just understand what the cost is before they do the work and make sure you know what is actually wrong. I would recommend them after my experience.
Oh high price for a tire patch $75.00 and didnt even balance the tire and they only took cash so ya take advantage of the tourist here hope you dont need anything here or you will pay.and oh thats with the wheel off the vehicle too.
Friendly staff. Had a great experience.
Had three staples in my tire and he tried to sell me a used tire, with visible inside wear, for $150. I walked out.
Stay clear, these guys are crooks. They take advantage of vacationers being the only “repair shop” open on weekends. Price gouged is $1000 to “fix” a wiring issue by the fuel pump, only to leave us stranded again. These guys were the only repair shop we could make it to with out causing an accident on the road. If we were able to we definitely would have tried to make it to a more reputable, reliable and honest repair shop. Don’t go here if you don’t just so happen to have $1000 cash in hand, they don’t take debit or credit cards.
My brother went here and was lied to and taken advantage of by Ricky Dunn. Completely unprofessional - glued a blown spark blue back into the engine rather than fixing the problem. Please take your car LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.
Great place and very friendly owner and employees and wonderful service at a reasonable price
I cant speak for the other reviewers on here, but I for one was quite happy with the quality of work done and the price to do so. Full engine flush and diagnostic in about a couple of hours, I wont complain about that. Ill be happy to use them again.
I had a very positive experience! Was buying a car from someone I didnt know. The seller and I took it here to have it looked at. They said car was in very good condition but could use ball joints replaced. Seller had never had them replaced and car had 103,000 miles on it. Seller agreed to lower price to pay for repairs. Garage said they could do it in 4 hours. Vehicle was done on time and drives like a dream. They did not try to charge more money and actually had me sign ahead of the repairs the price and what they were going to fix.I would recommend.
This shop is great!! They repaired my son in laws Jeep so they could make it back home. Professional evaluation, correct repair, great pricing. Really recommend this shop. The place to go for right repairs the first time, good job gentlemen.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This man knowingly sold my son defective tires as like new. Refuses to work with us. He wont return our money and will give us in store credit. I wouldnt let this man touch my car!!
Stopped to have a tire plugged. Was charged $30 (crazy for a tire plug, but thats not even the issue). Instead of plugging the tire, the service tech glued a small rubber-type patch on top. Patch popped off not even 3 miles down the road. Absolutely unacceptable. Fortunately, we were right by a gas station when it popped off and we bought a repair kit in the gas station and fixed it ourselves. DO NOT USE THIS AUTO SHOP... It should be renamed NOT DONE RIGHT - WILL CHEAT YOU AND BOTCH YOUR AUTO REPAIRS
Very nice, in and out!
Friendly staff and quick quality sevice. Highly recommended.-Kaleb #678
The owner is a complete and total scam artist he will rip you off he only does half the work that he says he does if you could go to a different shop I highly recommend that you do because Rick done is a real piece of work.
While visiting the Smoky Mountains in October 2019, we noticed we had a tire with low pressure on our jeep. We took it to Done Right Automotive Service and Tires and couldnt be any more pleased with their work. They took the tire off and checked for leaks, put it back on, and put air in all the tires. No leak was found. They didnt charge us anything. The owner was very personable and friendly. My husband is an Army veteran and the owner is very supportive of the military. I highly recommend this business.
Saved my hide when my a/c motor died during a road trip from California, Rick was able to fix my car in and have me back on the road in less than a few hours.I highly recommend him!
Very friendly and fast. Disposed of old tire at no charge. Highly recommend!
I can’t say enough about this place and the people! They were professional and the quality of work was fantastic, as well as the time it took for them to do so! Complete engine flush and oil change in less than 3 hours, can’t beat it! Will be using them for future services!
Stay away, this place is a rip off. To change out a tire with my spare tire that I had was $74.63 pic of bill attached. Take tire off my rim and take tire off my spare and swap or dismount as he says. Wal-Mart had quoted me 12.00 should have drove 20 more miles and got it done. What a rip off. Reporting to BBB..... then doesnt take debit cards unless its 100.00 or more so we had to walk to ATM to get this con artist his money. Snake in the grass. But I should have got an estimate 1st. My fault
Do not go to this place they charge way too much their alignments they dont even do right the guy left a lug nut just laying in my hubcap
Rick and Dave did an awesome job helping us out. We were 3 hours away from home needed a new tire and they helped us out tremendously. I highly recommend there services. Thank you guys!
I took my car in to get an oil change and they told me it would be $30. When I went to go pick up my car and pay the bill, they told me it was $150. They told me if I didn’t pay the $150 they were not going to give me my keys back. When I got back home I had a friend tell me the oil wasn’t even changed. I do NOT recommend this place!!!!
Rick the owner and his mechanic helped us out of some vehicle issues on our way home from vacation on a Sunday morning. They were upfront and honest about the issues and had us back on the road in about 2-3 hours. Vehicle breakdowns can be frustrating but they were professional and worked hard to get us back on the road in good time. I would recommend them!
As a customer service staff member who works with the public, I always try my absolute best to ensure I go above and beyond with my customers. So when I encounter people who go the extra mile for me, I take notice! Unfortunately, its a rarety nowadays. I got a flat a couple days ago on my way to work, and managed to significantly bend the rim. Rick, the owner, quoted me $40 for a used tire, which was $10 cheaper than any other place in the area. Not to mention, I was so stressed out about getting to work, I hadnt even considered that I would need a new rim until Dave, the head mechanic, brought it to my attention.Im also in the process of trying to move and in a tight spot, financially with rent, apt & utility deposits, etc. They found me a used rim in no time, put the tire on, mounted it, and had me on my way in no time. Today, I began to have issues with another tire b/c..well.. when it rains, it pours, right? I had two tires at home that I thought were both bad, and just never disposed of. I brought them in, and told them I thought neither one was salvageable, but wanted to double check. They could have easily told me they both had leaks or punctures, and I wouldve never known the difference. But Dave was honest and informed me that one of them was still good. Even though they were closing, Rick and Dave both stayed behind to make sure I was taken care of.As a woman who knows absolutely nothing about cars, tires, parts or repairs, I usually go into a shop knowing Im going to get taken advantage of. Whats more is that I work two jobs to support myself, and know first hand how tough it can be to make ends meet. Im telling you, ladies, this place makes sure they do everything they can so youre back on the road quickly, safely, and for a more than reasonable price.Btw..they offer discounts for bringing in cans of food for a food ministry they participate in, and also stongly support our veterans.P.S. - I was pleasantly surprised to learn that as a Floridian and extended family member (his brother is a long time employee of Publix), Rick has a special appreciation for our company and its employees, so I got an addtl discount on the rim. I wanted to take this opportunity to let all of my fellow associates at Publix know that Rick will work with you, whatever your situation.Gentlemen..thank you both for reminding me how important great customer service can be to ensure a job is truly Done Right 👍
Hes a crook. Ask anybody that lives in Sevierville.
Was the worst experience I ever had.... charged me double what I would have paid if I had taken it somewhere else..I checked after I got the crazy bill...also they only take cash. When I got back home was having issues with my brakes took to my mechanic and had to have most of it redone. My advice is to stay away from there...they are robbers.
They go way beyond their services .Excellent people. They will help you out
Came up for the weekend from Atlanta. Of course, the universe thought we needed to slow it down a little bit and on Saturday, my back tire was flat and we made it to this shop and they got us in immediately. The price was incredibly fair and the work was done quickly and well. The owner was an awesome sport and thanked us for coming in.Fast-Forward to Sunday morning, my front tire is flat.(I’m thinking the nail that was lodged in the back may have punctured the front one too, but didn’t stick to that one.) We drove 20mph to get to the shop, knowing they would do it right, efficiently and well based on the day before. So thankful that this place was nearby and that they were so accommodating of us. Hopefully we won’t have to come back anytime soon, but if we do, we know it’ll be a good visit.
I needed a tire repaired and was in and out in no time! Very friendly and helpful service, and on a Sunday! I highly recommend Done Right Automotive and I will be a return customer.
The owner is a liar and very pathetic! He lied and said my tires was bad just to try and get me to buy new tires. He is a crook!
Great. Owner took really good care of me. Thank you so much !
Y’all don’t go here. Tourists I beg you to stay away. They will scam y’all until you have nothing left. Not honest. No morals. No respect. Run away!
Very nice and understanding staff, professional and efficient
In todays world it is getting harder and harder to find good service and a business you can really trust especially when it comes to your automobile. I have been coming here for years but moved away and just recently came back and their service is still as great as ever. They take their time and really explain what there doing and keep you updated as often as possible. Rick is the owner and he has always shot me straight with no fluff and Dave is his main mechanic and literally works day and night to make sure these cars come out right. They are also involved with the food ministries and you can normally get a great deal on a oil change if you participate as well, which is what its all about community. I recent put my wifes Volvo V70 in their hands, which had more issues to count and they are taking excellent care of it and keeping us updated. Thankyou guys for all your hard work. Ive lived in this area most of my life and the repair shops you used to be able to count on, well you just cant anymore. So thankyou again guys for opening up and giving the people around here another option when it comes to our repair needs. I recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and great customer service.
Rick is an awesome guy. Had a tire emergency today on my jeep and these guys saved the day. Ive gotten used tires at the other places but the one he gave me is basically brand new! New customer for life here. Highly recommend to everyone.
I’ve done a work with them over weekend and Dave was very helpful and extremely professional. They changed oil and got everything done in half an hour vs other places in town that take forever to do a simple task. I would definitely go back to them! Good job guys!
BEWARE! BEWARE! READ REVIEWS! If I could rate them a SUB ZERO that would be too kInd! We were vacationing and went to see the Smoky Mountains. Our radiator in our 2008 Hummer decided to blow. My boyfriend was going to fix it as he knows mechanics. We had purchased the radiator at AutoZone and had the part already. We didnt have tools but decided since we were on vacation we didnt want to deal with it. We were quoted $450 for labor. 3 phone conversations and they never once said there was going to be any additional fees. When we went to pick up the car and found out it was $795 we demanded to talk to the owner. We waited 45 minutes and he didnt show up! The attendant called the police and the police came and said READ the REVIEWs..apparently this wasnt the first time they were called to this con artists shop. We had the police witness the payment in cash as they wouldnt accept a credit or debit card?! Probably afraid we would have recourse from our bank. The attendant slowly counted out the cash and marked every bill to ensure we werent giving him counterfeit?! WOW ! Like we were thieves?! When we finally got our car the attendant came racing around the building driving our car like an idiot. I know everyone has their version to tell in a story but the commonality in all the bad reviews all say the same thing. DISHONEST and shady business ethics
I was seriously overcharged to replace a cv axle which is a 70$ part the bill was over 700 and took 2 days to do which is insane local Honda shop would have done some job in 4 hrs for 400 so you figure it out . Take my advise if your a potential customer reading this review do not have your car towed here or repaired here they do some shady business. Cash only!!! And they want you to pay before the service is even performed, If your car breaks down on the weekend do not I repeat do not call these people you’ll be better off, crooked as a dogs hind leg, look up bbb reviews this place needs shut down, local police have told me how bad a reputation done right has . RUN!!!!!!!
On vacation and needed work done quick I dont have enough nice things to say amazing service they went above and beyond of what I asked I highly recommend this shop thank you guys very much
We went there just to see how much some of the work we needed would cost and the owner was completely rude and out of line. I understand there are policies you put in place but there are calm and politeways to talk to potential customers. Rude and disrespectful.
While pulling out of our drive way this morning we noticed an odd grinding noise whenever we would press on the breaks. We decided to have it looked at to make sure that our break pads did not need to be replaced. It costs $48 for the inspection. They took our car straight back. Turned out, our breaks were fine and the grinding noise we heard was suspected to have been caused by some gravel or rocks. They offered to rotate our tires free of charge. Also, if you bring in 3 cans of food for their food bank, they will do an oil change for just $20. Owner was very friendly and honest and we were in and out within less than an hour, would recommend!
Super fast and very polite. Had a tire low and he plugged it reasonable and filled the rest of my tires for me as well. Awesome lil joint. Ill definitely go back.
First I will say you cant always make some people happy... Like most people who were here with us on yesterday we were Tourist trying to leave down after visiting Pigeon Forge. We ended up having a tire blow out and we went by walmart first and was told it would be at least a 4 hour wait and for one tire it would start of at least $100 not including balancing etc. My boyfriend and I searched and searched to find another shop open and couldnt believe how many would be closed on Sunday and missing out on business until we found Done Right. We called and they said they had our size tire in stock. We drove over there but by time we got over there they no longer had it available. However, the owner Rick said if we would be willing to wait an hour he had a delivery of tires coming in and he would work a deal with us for being patient. So we decided to go and get something to eat and when we got back the tires were arriving. My boyfriend looked at the tires and they had great tread on them and Rick replaced and balanced all 4 of our tires for us for $250 which was half the price of what it would cost us back home in Northern VA. While we waited there for the hour it took them to complete the work we saw people come and go just complaining and yelling and cussing Rick and the workers out and I get that it can be a high stress time dealing with money and having to spend extra while on vacation that you werent expecting but you can get a lot further with people when you are nicer. Of course its like any shop they quote you a price and as they start working they will notice other things that are wrong and its up to you if you want them to fix them if not. But it is there responsibility to inform you of additional work that needs to be done because if they didnt and something else went wrong then you would be mad about that.Hopefully we will never need work again while visiting the area but if we do... I know where I will be coming.Rick: I cant speak for everyone else but thanks to you sir we made it back home safely and appreciate you helping us during our stressful time and showing us some hospitality. Let us know when you go back to Florida so we can join you for some fishing!
My husband stop to have a tire replaced and the owner was more than helpful, not only did he replace our tire but he actual provided us with two tires and a balance and rotation for free. We brought our car back the next day to have the wheel bearing replace and he was very kind and informative. Not only did he work with us on the price but he treated us so kind and friendly. Its so nice to meet a decent person these days. I left my car here knowing it would be taken care of and I wouldnt be taken advantage of, which is rare these days. Id give it more stars if I could. Thank you Rick!!!
This place was wonderful. I got 2 used tires which are great and the price was excellent. The owner was very professional and a very nice man. Very pleased with the service and product. If your in the area I suggest going here for your car issues
My 96 model Jeep had been sitting for a few years while I drove another vehicle. When I brought the Jeep out of retirement the air conditioner wouldnt work. The owner of the garage took my Jeep in as a walk in on a Saturday and performed a test on the air unit. The condenser has a hole and needs to be replaced. I just called Done Right Automotive and Rick is working with me to get the air fixed on Saturday, just a two day notice. Done Right Automotive has great hours for working people, being open on the weekends. Ive been really pleased with the friendliness of the staff. Great place to have your vehicle worked on!
Very over priced!! My wife and I ran over a screw on our way home from Gatlinburg on a Sunday and tire was going flat Done right was the only shop open so we called and they told us they could put a patch on for us. They charged us $90 to do a simple patch. They take advantage of people traveling and being the only place open on Sundays.
With me and my girlfriend in our twenties, it’s hard to find a good mechanic that won’t rip you off but these guys are GREAT. Rick is always trying to help out and willing to work with you. And Dave was able to find something wrong with the car that saved us $500 in the long run! I would recommend these guys to anybody- especially women who are looking for a mechanic to trust.
Excellent service, very quick! We had a flat while on vacation 8 hours from home. I called him and he was super nice, got us right in, and checked all the other tires as well. Great prices.
The owner, Rick, is an wonderful man!! It’s hard to find a decent place around here that won’t charge an arm and a leg!! He was so nice, and HONEST! I really can’t say enough. My girls and I won’t have to be worried anymore. And that says a lot! I highly recommend Done Right! Best Christmas gift I could ask for! God bless him and his family!
Great service, very friendly 4 used tires and valve stems out the door in less than an hour. Great prices. Thanks guys
On 2/16/2020 we were traveling from FL to OH with a car we had just purchased. We hit a pot hole and completely blew a tire. Between the towing company and Done Right Automotive the companies worked quickly to rush us in and get us a used tire to get us back on the road. The situation was very stressful as it was 4pm on a Sunday and all other tire shops were closed and Done Right Automotive stayed open a little longer to lend a helping hand. Thank you for going the extra mile!
Very honest, and up front with you. Top notch Professional service. Exceeds overall expectations.
Very convenient, fast professional and good people. We were visiting from out of town about to get on the road and head back home, so it was on a Sunday when most places are closed. Decided to check the oil and my Fiancee drop the oil cap, we knew we couldnt drive far without it, luckily Done Right Automotive was open. They found my oil cap, topped us off in no time and it was at a very reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone needing car service. I drive a BMW 535i by the way, so it has a net at the bottom which is what caught my oil cap and prevented it from just dropping down to the ground.
The most rude unprofessional person I have ever spoken with in business in all my fifty years!Do not go here or you will be done wrong by done right! The owner is a liar and will treat you like dirt. He told me he had a tire in my size and I drove there on a flat because I was close to his store, I repeated the size twice. He lied and then was extremely disrespectful to me, said he owned 17 businesses and did not need my money anyway, kicked all my tires in a very aggressive manner and tried to convince me that it would be fine to put the wrong size tire on and drive it that way.
I’m sure all of these good reviews are fake. This guy is straight up a con artist and ANYONE who’s actually been there will tell you the same. If you value your time, money, and vehicle then DO NOT go to this place. DONE WRONG is much more like it. He and his mechanics will purposely ruin your car and run up a massive bill for you to pay, I would trust Home Depot to work on my car before this place.
Best mechanic in the area. Great deals and warranties on tires. Been doing business here for 2 years, honest mechanics true to their word. Never had a problem or issue taking my vehicles here. Highly recommend.
I recommend. So We were having car troubles and I want sure what was going on. We were staying at a resort in Gatlinburg Tn and I was driving around and looking on Google for a mechanic on a Saturday. Most shops were closed or they could not get me in till Monday. Someone recommended this place and says they were open till about 6. When we got there there wad a charge to check the possible problem i though it could have been. It was not that and they had to go in and inspect more which was more money. Being on vacation and not from the area thats not something I wanted to hear. But the owner was upfront and honest and he worked the prices for the inspection into the repair. When it was all said and done I felt we were well taking care of and the issue was fixed and felt confident to drive my family back to Chicago. When we come back to this area and if i ever have car troubles I know where Im taking my vehicle.
Very friendly on the phone! Great customer service and price. Family owned and open on Sunday. Changed out our tire same day after I called 13 other places searching for this tire. Thanks so much Rick.
