Have you ever thought that you buying a post card can change someones elses life? I didnt. Until one day I walked in into Ten Thousand Villages and my perspective on me buying day to day things (like soap, coffee or some olive oil) changed for good.In the morning when I drink my coffee, I feel good, because this coffee will allow someone on the other side of the world feed their kids and send them to school. When I write in this post card, I know that somewhere in Philippines there is a woman named Inedia who now has a chance to start her life over after escaping sex trafficking. This place is run by volunteers and every item in a store has a story behind it. They even have the jewelry made out of bomb shells that look like high fashion pieces. If you ever need coffee, soap, a mug or maybe you are just hungry for some chocolate, or need to get last minute happy birthday card or a gift for your friend - go here and make a difference, be a positive change.

Great shop with a variety of neat items. Definitely a cute place to get interesting, one of a kind gifts. They have some great quilled cards and decorative pieces. The selection of jewelry is varied. The occasion cards are gorgeous and have that special look you cant get from mass produced.

I stumbled across this shop after stopping by at Wayward Vegan Cafe. So many great things about this place. Besides it being a fair trade store, I was greeted once I walked in and the lady working in the front was very nice. I asked her if it was ok for me to try on a choker and she said it was no problem. I ended up liking the choker because of how well it looked on me and purchased it. If i wasnt allowed to wear it, I probably wouldnt have bought it. Overall, I loved looking at all the great items they had on stock. I will definitely be coming back.

Fair trade with coffee beans and Tibetan incense. Jewelry, figurines and jewelry that are beautiful and exotic. The artisans are fairly paid for their effort and when it is bought at the store the charitable organizations helps the villages again.
