Very high quality clothes I bought. Two shirts, the same button up stretchy fabric short sleeve in tan and red. Comfortable soft and durable. Had them for over a year now and this is the longest Ive ever had one of these shirts last before fading, ripping, or fraying. I use it everyday for work and alternate will cleaning. You get your moneys worth if the price seems a little high to you. It will pay off in the long lasting quality they provide

Filson is a gem. I work in the construction industry and burn through clothing. A few years ago I invested in filson for my workwear. As far as their original filson products are concerned - It holds up 2.5 times as long. Even better, when it wears out, their repair team is AMAZING. They add patches to holes, and do some sweet stitching over spots that are starting to give out. No clothing is indestructible, but these folks keep their clothing going and out of the landfill.

The fitto my average 7.375 head left the fabric puckered and veryuneven after adjusting the rear leather strap, indicating apoor sewing job. This one size fits all did not work out. Thiswas my first return as a customer for 30 years. Premiumprices demand an ever vigilance level of quality control, especially for a commemorative specialty item.

This is one of the coolest stores that I’ve actually ever been to. You walk in and all of the interior decorating and the styling around the entire store is really rustic and really well done. There are so many different types of clothes in here it’s hard to leave without spending a lot of money but it’s all really well done. There is a very cozy fireplace towards the back with nice big chairs that you can sit and relax on if you don’t feel like walking around shopping. There is also really good women’s section towards the back left.

I am a long time Filson fan but today was my first visit to a retail store (the flagship store in Seattle). I read a lot of the google and yelp reviews prior to my visit and was disappointed to read so many people apparently very unimpressed with their customer service. Personally I had a great experience. I was helped by several different staff members and all were pleasant and helpful. Its not the type of place where you are hounded by commission hungry sales people which in my opinion is nice but if you need something youll have to ask directly and youre not necessarily going to get the same type of attention youd get at a Macys or Nordstrom. The building is beautiful inside and out, like a museum. The change rooms are stunning and massive however they could use a little more light, and someone dedicated to working the change rooms when its as busy as it was on a Saturday. The products are very expensive, there is no doubt about that. Youre not just paying for a product that will last a very long time if taken care of but youre also paying for the Filson name. Many of their shirts and some items are NOT made in the USA so if that is a concern for you then pay attention to the tag. But it seems that all of the luggage, wool items, and jackets, pants, etc are made right there in Seattle.I am from Canada and did ask about tax exceptions which they were not willing to do but they were willing to sign up my wife for the emails and use her 10% off coupon which is actually slightly better than no tax.All in all I had a great experience.

So I think that the experience in the Filson stores is mostly fine, but online service really awful for such a small company. I was given a gift card and tried to use it online- website says number is wrong- call help- wait 45 min- says card is fine- place order- arrives, wrong size- try to return- huge nightmare- more 45 min waits etc, finally get correct item after literally hours on the phone. 1- dont by gift card. 2- be sure you wont need to return item! 3- dont expect to spend less than 45 min waiting on phone. If LL Bean or Lands end bought this store, their profits would triple in less than a year!

In November 2019 I purchased work boots online for my husband. When they arrived I found out there was an extra charge of $150 for shipping (Filson now claims was a mistake). I asked USP to sent the boots back and called Filson to ask for a refund. In December 2019, I had no refund yet so I phone philson for the second time to ask. They told me that they would reach out to UPS to get the boots back and once that had happened I would have my refund. January 2020 I still had no refund, I phoned Filson and was told that they would reach out to UPS to get the boots back and once that happened they would issue the refund. February 2020 I still had no refund. I phoned Filson and was told that they would reach out to UPS and get the boots back and would then issue me the refund AND, this time I asked for an email conformation once they had reached out to UPS. Now we are March 2020 and I still have no refund and no email conformation. Where is my $500 dollars Filson? You are seeking across the line in to Theft and disgraceful business.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Filson. I’ve used one of their tote bags everyday as my work bag for about 5 years now and it is holding up great. I have one of their backpacks, two jackets and many other items and I can’t say enough good things about the brand. I especially love the flagship store because you can find items that are made at the workshop on site and are unique to that location, and sometimes they only make one so your piece is totally unique. The staff have always been helpful and the space itself is impressive. If I lived closer I would probably pop in all the time!

Ive had a Filson jacket for a few year now. I think it is the Bell bomber. Theyve been sending email newsletters ever since. So while in Seattle I decided to stop by the flagship store. Its very nice and classy. Kinda outdoorsy too.The sales people were nice and I almost bought a tin duffle bag. But I went over budget quite a bit on this road trip so decided against it. Road trips arent cheap sadly. The factory being there too is pretty awesome. Its neat seeing where something you bought might have been made. It says made in the USA, I hope it was here. I just glanced for a few seconds, I didnt wanna stare while people were working.

The clothing and gear are very attractive. Theyre essentially meant for the tech bro who makes six figures but also likes to go hunting and camping in his thousand dollar jacket and boots.I went in with my dad because he got a gift card and wanted a jacket. They were sold out so they placed an order but it ended up being the wrong item and they took weeks to get a refund back to me.Maybe if they hired their employees based a little more on their experience than their attractiveness, their customer service might improve? But if you want to look at pretty and expensive clothing and the dozens of equally pretty employees working the floor, Filson is the ideal place.

This is a review for the Rugged Twill Computer Bag that I have owned for two years. First, I wrote an in-depth review of the product for the Filson website. An email was sent to me requesting that I verify my review. To my surprise the review never posted to the website--that is one way to control product critiques! A word of caution: when writing a review for the Filson website an email will be sent to you to verify your review. Once verified your review is no longer visible in the email so you will have to re-type your review. This seems like another deliberate way to dissuade unflattering reviews. Second, the Filson guarantee is absolute rubbish. After less than one year of use Filson refused to refund my purchase or issue a store credit. The bag has several critical design flaws that limit its functionality. It is astronomically priced given its average quality and poor real-world performance. While the bag is attractive the cotton twill is thin. The unstructured internal organization is disappointing. As the internal dividers to do not extend to the top of the bag it is common for materials to spill and move from one compartment to another. The shoulder strap is ornamental and too thin. As another reviewer pointed out, the shoulder strap holes are punched too low, so that when the strap is shortened it is still too low on the hip. The design flaw that was the deal breaker--had Filson honored their guarantee and accepted my return--is the strap attachment. The center of gravity is so low that when the bag is loaded and picked up it rotates and the contents empty! That is to say when you pick the bag up it often turns upside down and empties out. Overall a disappointing product which was eclipsed by Filsons exaggerated guarantee.

Without good customer service a company will not get my vote. Filson has amazing products but the worst customer service (no one is on the same page) and horrible shipping policies (I placed an order over a week ago). It is easier to get something done through the bureaucracy of the government than it is with this company via phone or chat. Fix it Filson. You charge enough to provide good service and a good product.

My husband and I went in to purchase a tin packer hood, the customer service was horrific. My husband was standing at the counter ready to purchase and the sales associate made a joke saying “it’s a new fashion statement he’s only going to wear the hood & he should get two more so he can cover his shoulders” this was very insulting to him considering that he spends a lot of his hard earned money with Filson & owns a lot of their work gear. The professionalism in the sales associates does not match up to the quality of the product. This is also not the first time he has been treated this way at the Seattle location. We will now be extending our trip to Filson just a little further up north & will be taking our business to the Ballard location.

My son purchased a wallet for me about five years ago. Filson told him it was guaranteed for life, they would repair it or replace it. I brought it in to Filson and asked if they would repair the wallet. They told me that they no longer guarantee that wallet because it is not repairable and they wear out. It seems to me that they should replace the wallet with the one that they now sell and can repair. How can a business offer a lifetime guarantee and then take it back? I have purchased oilskin coats, work overalls, a wool coat, hand bag, and last Christmas my son bought me a backpack! I’m very disappointed at the way they treated a loyal customer. I called customer service and they were incredibly rude and said thats just how it is. This after having spent thousands of dollars with this company. No longer a Filson customer. Its unbelievable they treat people this way. The lifetime warranty is a joke and used to get people to spend the money on their products.Follow up:Shelly with customer service swooped in to save the day. She understood why I was upset and was determined to fix the issue at the source as well as solving my situation. I received a new blanket (the new version) to my home. This Filson has to be one of the best retail stores in America for two reasons. First, they make the clothes on the first floor that you can see as you walk up the stairs to the second floor showroom. Now you know it was truly made in America & you dont mind paying a premium. Second, the selections there are the most classic non-logoed clothes anywhere and are second-to-none in their construction! Filson is charging a lot of money for nice shirts made in China and India. The luggage, bags, jackets and other items made in the USA are the best that money can buy.
