We were able to make a reservation here and enjoyed a couple of beers on their patio setup. Beer was pretty good; especially enjoyed the peach sour they had. Friendly service and a nice little spot in a quieter part of capital hill. The downside was the outdoor seating they had setup—the tent walls were flapping so loudly at times that were couldn’t hear each other. Overall, really glad we stopped by. Hopefully they can work on the outdoor seating setup—I know covid has left a lot of places scrambling to get a makeshift patio setup, so I’m just grateful to be able to enjoy a beer outside!
Lovely, cozy place for a small or larger group. There is limited indoor seating, so keep that in mind when visiting. The beer options varied, with something for everyone. I dont think any food was available. My friends loved the 2 IPA options, while I liked some of the lighter options. Would come back again!
I feel like weve needed a place like this in the area for way too long. The menue isnt as plentiful as some of the other breweries that offer flats, but most of what they have tastes really good.Inside is fairly small and cozy. Its in a nice location and there is also a view of the main road. Perfect for people watching if you find yourself bored. I think they even have card and board games if people watching and concersing isnt your thing. You cant go wrong with this place. Ill be back soon.
Great local microbrewery. Im a fan of their ESB. The staff is always great and welcoming, great place to hang out and enjoy some craft beer.
Great service, delicious beer, felt very safe with their comprehensive COVID policy. Our doggie was allowed inside too! 10/10
A great diversity of beer styles and all of them top notch, Molly was the beertender and a great friendly server. Overall a great experience with genuine heart, best brewery I’ve been to in Seattle. What a microbrewery should be.
Service was amazing! Nate was super friendly and accommodating, you can tell he is passionate about his job. 10/10 would recommend
Great selection of beer! Really tasty and not all IPAs!
Very comfortable place to enjoy your beer! Really enjoyed it.
Uninteresting spot. However, the brewery itself is in the ground floor of a condo building. Lackadaisical staff to round out the experience.
Beer was good but didnt have a big selection. Seating area was only 3 tables.
Really great beer, intimate space, and kind owners. I long for the pre-covid days where we all partied at Outer Planet with live music and cult classics playing via the projector! Dare I say Outer Planet is the best brewery in Cap Hill..!
I really like this brewery. Its cute and the beer is good.
I love Outer Planet. Their beers are great! They have a small tent outside set up and its almost like being back in the pre COVID times. Makes me very happy!
Outer Planet Brewery is where you want to go when you want to try new small batch experiments. They are constantly working on new flavors and its always great to try. They also have beers theyve dialed in especially with their IPA. Their sours are always my favorite to try. The cherry being my absolute favorite 😋🍺. Cant wait to see what they brew up next.
I live in the apartments above this location, and the 2 times Ive gone in the week Ive lived here, and these are some of the kindest people Ive met so far. Their beer selection, while small-ish, has enough variety and quality to keep your taste buds happy. A must-stop on your way through, or for a nice cold one after work.
Great little spot. Welcoming service, and quality brews consistently.
Great selection of beers and friendly staff.
Pretty cool brewery just by Cal Anderson Park!
Best sour beers in Seattle hands down
Great little spot! It is never really crowded and is a nice place to meet with friends and play board games. Plus they are dog friendly and have dog treats at the bar. Staff is always super friendly. The beer is ok- not as good as some of the other breweries in Seattle. However, the fact that I can usually find seating and I like the ambiance keeps me coming back.
Wow what a fantastic place. Outer planet let us reserve out their place in the early evening to celebrate an event and they were so gracious! They we excellent hosts and their beer was fantastic! Will definitely be back again and again!
Wandered in after searching online for local brewery in Seattle area, happy to have tried this place out. It was quiet when we arrived... the fact that it is owner operated face it a really cool vibe... owner is down to earth and frankly makes the place, beers are really good... totally worth the trip. I loved that we could bring in takeaway...
Good place to meet up for a drink and play some board games or just talk in a quieter places. The beer is okay, definitely have had some good ones but on average, they are pretty average. Super friendly staff at all times and a selection of games if you aren’t brining your own.
Perfect! I actually proposed to my boyfriend here during their 4 year anniversary, best night of my life and excellent beers to boot! Thank you guys for the amazing service and for sharing an anniversary with me. This place has such a cozy environment, its like going over to an old friends house.
Nice and convenient spot for the most part. Been here 4-5 times because of that, often having 2 beers each visit and they are just not great. I try and enjoy all styles but something about every beer here is off with an overwhelming malty taste that only reminds me of apple cider vinegar, and they seem really flat. Winter ale was the last straw.
The beer is good and the bartenders are always really calm and friendly. Its a tiny, weird space but thats part of its charm. They have board games and you dont feel like theyd shoo you away as soon as you get to the bottom of your first beer.
We had our wedding reception at the brewery last weekend and it went perfectly, in large part thanks to all the help of the Outer Planet owners and staff. Christopher was quick to respond and made some great suggestions while planning, and Dan was SUPER helpful that day. It was a small (~30 people), informal reception (e.g., no dancing, but lots of eating, drinking, and mingling), and the space was the perfect size. They also set up catering and a few decorations ahead of time, and even sent my husband and I off with a growler of the stout as a gift. Id already liked the space and the beer a lot (we live nearby and go all the time), but I honestly cannot stress enough how helpful they were making our event go smoothly!!!!! Oh, and delicious beer too!
Awesome Beer. Great tap selection, dog friendly. Its always fun to see what experimental brews theyre up to. Staff is super nice and knowledgeable. Great spot and prime people watching location.
When I last came here, I got the feeling that this place had some growing to do. Its beers seemed a little off, but that might have just been the batch I had gotten. Very intimate, easy to hang out at the bar and talk with the brewers. A tipsy conversation I had with one of the brewers yielded some pretty great homebrewing advice. Plenty of games to play.Edit: I recently revisited the brewery. The experience was as charming as the first time. The beer was still mediocre. Im upgrading my rating a bit to reflect how much I love this place despite their beer being lackluster. Its been a couple of years so I expect a bit more.
Quaint place, a variety of board games available for play. Big west facing windows for great evening sunlight. Their experimental winter ale is a great success.
Very good brew pub
I love this brewery. They are the trifecta of solid beers, wonderful location, and knowledgeable, cheery employees. When I thought about where to host my partners graduation party, I immediately thought of them, and it bore out perfectly. Highly recommend for casual drinking up to parties.
Great microbrewery! Really good beers. We had the the brown and the red rye. Both were very good. The space is chill, light tunes, sports on TV, free snacks and $5 personal pizzas. Friendly owners, excited about what they do.
Really good beers. Best brewery in Cap Hill
Awesome little hole in the wall brewery centrally located in Cap Hill. I have been to my fair share of breweries and I was surprised at how delicious their beer was. And I tried four of them! Highly recommend!
Great brews, friendly staff, great location. Will definitely be visiting again next time in the Capitol Hill area. Their sour beers were especially great
Ive put this pub on my bucket list. Would be great to meet St. Christopher, pet the little Dorky and maybe bump into Thoth and Danielle. Oh ya, a pint will top it off. :-)
Great spot to grab a quick beer. Beer is above okey. May need some food menu too.
Great beer. Really friendly staff. Tasty pretzl chunks.
Great rotating taps and an awesome atmosphere! The beertenders and brewers here are awesome folks. Highly recommended!
Nice little brewery with very nice staff. I liked that they served pretzels for free and had board games out for people to play. The beer was good, nothing revolutionary, but worth the trip.
The open mic is pretty funny here, but I cannot say their beers are all that great. I had 3 different ones and they all tasted the same even though they were all quite different types of beer.
Probably my favorite neighborhood place to grab a pint these days. Its super laid back, and never busy; great for reading or a board game. The beer is good too, and their always rotating their in-house brews.
The beers here are actually pretty good, with just a few catches. The four we had all kind of had a sweet brown ale style finish to them, which I actually didnt notice at first. Otherwise, the beers were just not quite cold enough. Im not sure if thats a style thing, but it could be easly fixed if it is a technical hiccup, so I dont really hold it against them.
This place is great. Original and unique brews in one of Seattles hottest neighborhoods. The owners are all boss.
I had an incredible IPA at Outer Planet. The owner was extremely warm and welcoming. He was a fantastic host. I look forward to coming back in the future.
Same head Brewer as Lowercase, but thats a new development. Beers are ok. The So Say We Ale IPA is solid, if not inspired. ESB is well balanced and fairly malty, nice. Sadly, my two favorites are the wheat wines which were brewed by the old Brewer, and are admittedly over-sweet, and one is over-oaked. Pops says, very astutely that they are in a transition period between brewers and shouldnt have this held against them.
Great beer and great staff! Had a wonderful time during my quick stop in
If youre looking for a brewery on Capitol Hill, this is where you need to go! The interior decor kind of has a cafeteria vibe, but that is more than made up for by the quality of the original and unique beers this place provides.
Great small brewery with great beers on tap. Jim was super friendly & made our visit thoroughly enjoyable. Met wonderfully friendly locals, as well.
Friendly folks and great beer. You won’t regret a visit.
Good beers and friendly bartenders in a cozy space.
Great beer, good atmosphere and they always have events going on. Best brewery in Seattle!
A fantastic micro Brewery a great place to sit while youre doing your laundry across the street!
If you like beer this is your place. Its insane how much flavor this beer has.
Good place to relax and unwind. Friendly staff! Great beer!
Cute, small taproom. The beer was definitely quite good, I will be headed back. Also, growler service, so thats a plus!
Great beer ... nuf said
Nice place and nice beer. They have tons is board games to play too.
Fantastic beer, excellent service and owner operated. I love this place.
Great knowledge, great service, and an exceptional ESB. Probably the best beer Ive had in this city so far
The beers good, the owners nice, theyre dog friendly. Not sure what else you need. 🤔
Nice space, not great beer. Maybe we had a funky batch or something, but I was not impressed.
Friendly bar tender. Outstanding Mango Kolsch beer 🤗🤗
Great beer, friendly service, free pretzels. What more could you ask for?
Nice, small place with some tasty IPA experiments.
Beers are serviceable, but over priced for the quality. Selling some outdated ipa, but warned us.
The drinks are really good, and its a relaxing atmosphere
Very good beer. Great Brewer.
Plenty of board games and a variety of beer is available. Everything you want out of a brewery
Amazing variety of delicious beer!!
Beers suck
Great microbrewery.
First time I dont know what beer I like best. They are all delicious. The mango really tastes like mango. Sarahs secret is simply delicious
