The BA is more than a spot with a great beer selection and knowledgeable staff. It is that and so much more. The community here is amazing! From the owner to the staff to the other patrons it’s the very best experience. I moved here from DC during the pandemic without knowing anyone. I started coming to the BA because it’s dog friendly and everyone was very welcoming when I would walk past with my dog. Since I started coming here I have made so many friends that will probably be life long friends. In addition....The music is always on point and you can bring your own food in. COME. HERE. ASAP. Best bar in Lake City.

I love this local bar. Great beer selection and knowledge from the bar. Honestly my favorite part is the nice guy who always runs the bar. Hes just this real guy who has manners and is fun at the same time. Check this place out.

Decent bar, but the outdoor seating is lacking. There arent that many seats outside, and the seats that are there are cramped together, not allowing for any reasonable distancing. I might go to this bar when the pandemic is over, but for now, go to Hellbent Brewery for a safer, more enjoyable pub experience.

Cool little place with some nice selections of beer, particularly of note are the sour or barleywine variety. Eclectic maybe a good word to use. A good amount of space to spread out a small group.

Awesome beer store! The owner (Burc) has been in the beer business for many years and carefully selects the stores inventory of bottles and cans, including many rarities not found elsewhere. The taplist is relatively small but hand-picked to include only the good stuff.

Birk is amazing. This guy is the most genuine and caring owner/supervisor. I’m not sure if he owns it, but he really cares about the local crowd and the people who come around every now and then. The bartenders are absolutely amazing. The crowd is friendly and you can always expect good beer/wine/cider. Love this place and highly recommend for anyone wanting to grab a pint and have a good time.

This place is really solid. Great bottleshop with a very well curated selection of all styles. They also have a great selection of beers on tap that rotate very regularly, including some occasional rare beers that are hard to get on in this neck of the woods. Highly recommended for any beer nerd. Keep in mind that this isnt a high end pub with amazing atmosphere and appointments. This place is about great beer.

I have a yet to find a better and more vast selection of beer. It has a very cool and local vibe. If your looking to chill with friends and have some tasty drinks this would be my choice.

The Beer Authority has an amazing selection of beer. Burc has an encyclopedic knowledge of beer, takes exceptional care of the beer lines, and emphasizes keeping the beer fresh. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. The patrons are a great group of people.

Overpriced beer and the guy who was working was pretty obnoxious about reminding everyone about how much money it costs to run the place. They also didnt have many on-tap options.

If you like good beer and great conversation this is the place for you. 13 taps of amazing ever changing brews means you will always find setting you love. This is Lake Citys crown jewel and the finest establishment in the area.

Don’t go here for the bottles, the selection is so old the labels are growing mold.
