I came here for my annual eye and contact exam. Dr Peter Lehmann and Alexander were amazing! This is a place I will recommend and will keep coming back to. Above and beyond service, professional and communicative.

Doctor was amazing and very thorough with her exam.The staff who I think were hired to help people choose a good pair of glasses....she was something else! Made some snappy comments and didnt explain when I asked.

From the optometrist down, the staff was fantastic! Great personalities and very professional. A very pleasant appointment, for my family of four! Each one of us had a different employee and we were all impressed! Highly recommend for all your eye needs!

I dont usually review......I had an eye exam in March. So far Ive been back for an adjustment on my frames 6 times. The first 4 adjustments they had manipulated the frames so much that I had to have another pair ordered. I just returned from an adjustment for my new frames because they were tight on the left side of my ear. I couldnt wear them more than a couple of hours. I also tried to explain to the person that the frames were wide near the front of the glasses. She commented that not all frames are made alike. Im aware of that - Ive been wearing glasses most of my life! Well....now that Ive had the adjustment for the ear.....the glasses are now sliding down my nose and now Im seeing the upper part of the frame in my vision. Im so done with this!!!

I was able to be seen as a walk-in and the appointment was super quick and easy! They have advanced equipment so no dilation was required which I appreciated. I was able to get my exam and glasses order taken care of with no issues. Great staff and large selection of frames :) I will definitely be going back!

Had to get several eye exams and multiple pairs of glasses until getting a pair that didnt cause me headaches. They also try to nickel and dime you for basic things like anti-scratch plastic and anti-glare coating that comes standard at other places. Final nail in the coffin was having the staff tell me that I now need to pay for yet another eye exam in order to receive contacts even though I just had one a few weeks ago; would have been nice to communicate that with me before I waited weeks for the appointment.

After my exam, I waited for a rep to assist me with my glasses selection. When I CLEARLY became next and Michelle the manager was done with her customer who had cashed out a left. She asked the other tech who was with a customer to take me when she was done. Michelle went to assist a customer that entered the store after I sat there waiting to be helped. The tech finished with her customer and came over to assist me. A customer walked in the store that she acknowledged by his name. The tech got up and proceeded over to the front counter to assist him. No, excuse me while I help him, do you mind? Nothing, I sat there in disbelief of the RUDENESS of this staff. I LEFT! So disrespectful! My appointment was on 4/19 at the Talking stick location.

Im very disappointed with my first experience at Visionworks. To their credit, they offer a huge selection of frames and my glasses were ready sooner than expected. However, the sunglasses were not made to my specified request. When I questioned it and requested to have the gradient redone to match my current glasses, I was told my current sunglasses glasses were NOT gradient (they are) and the reason the new glasses looked so solid colored (barely gradient) was due to the lenses being polarized. When I explained that I never request polarized lenses, which I never have and never will, I was told, well thats just what we do with all ours. I said I was not happy with the way they look and the clerk simply told me she could only replace the lenses with plastic ones and re-tint them but they wouldnt be as durable. This was not an excepable resolution and she never offered an apology or took accountability for the issue. Instead, she seemed to take it personally and blame the customer. If there was full disclosure at the time I made my purchase, showed my current glasses, and asked to have the gradient tint done the same, the whole error could have been avoided. Ive always purchased my glasses through the Optometrist at my Opthomologists office previously and have never been dissatisfied. Visionworks just isnt able to provide the service or quality that a reputable private provider can. I will not be returning and do not recommend Visionworks to anyone.

Dr. Lehman is wonderful. He spends time explaining everything thoroughly. His staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful.

Great selection of glasses. Dr. Patel was delightful. Also, they did an excellent job of maximizing the dual vision insurance benefits that both my wife and I have. We both left our back-to-back appointments very satisfied.

Eye exam was very thorough. And all of my questions were answered. The associates were also very helpful in assisting me. Overall, I would definitely recommend Visionworks to friends/family. I already have and my appointment was only yesterday morning. 👍🏻😀

Dr. Lehmann is a thorough doctor. Each year we discuss how I am currently seeing, and then confirm if there are any more enhanced contacts I should consider. We also review my age, and how vision will alter as this occurs. I am also happy that Sara is still at this location, as she now helped me with finding cute glasses!

Dr Lehman was great, and the exam was thorough. I was not impressed with the staff. There was almost no assistance with frame choices, one young lady did help me, but I felt rushed. As I was checking out at the end, the person helping me just kept rattling off costs, and I asked her to please go over what my insurance was paying for each item, but she didn’t. She just gave me a total number. When I picked up my glasses, I was just handed them in the case (no lense cleaning cloth included), no trying them on to see if any adjustments needed to be made. Just “here they are.” So now i need an adjustment on the nose pads, so I need to go back for that. At every other company I have gotten glasses from, the service has exceeded the service I received here. The eye exams and doctors are great, but be prepared for zero personal touch in customer service.UPDATE: I received emails from both the manager of that location and someone in customer service, both of whom expressed how “concerned” they are about the poor customer service I received, how they take it sooo seriously, and they were going to “look into it on my behalf.” I can see they are obviously quite “concerned” as neither of them have ever followed up with me. Zero. This company has lost my business, there are plenty of other options.

Shoutout to Michelle at Visionworks Talking Stick location in Scottsdale. I broke the hinge yesterday off my one year old glasses. They are not repairable. Well, just with electrical tape! I called the store and Michelle went to great lengths to help me out. She had the same frames drop shipped to a store in Ann Arbor where Ross and I are going this weekend. She has had them set aside and provided me with a managements contact info. The store will pop out my lenses and put them in the new frames and voila new glasses! She could not have been more helpful and refused a kudos email to management as she stated she just wanted to help out her clients. If you live in AZ and you need need glasses, please give them a call.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Lehmann is very kind and professional. He took his time with me getting just the right prescription and contact lenses, which I really appreciated because I have a difficult prescription to get right. Overall, great experience!

I was trying to get an estimate of what glasses would cost me with my insurance. Jake, I believe, who answered the phone, kept telling me it depended on what my insurance benefits are. I knew my plan benefits so I was just trying to get a price on hi index lenses with anti glare. Then he said that retail prices do to apply to insurance. I wondered as much which is the reason why I was calling as I can get retail prices off their website(otherwise according to their website prices I wouldnt owe anything) . He keep repeating to call my insurance to get my plan benefits but my insurance is not going to know the cost of their lenses. Then he hung up. He did not place me on hold. It was not a disconnect as one could hear the phone being put down. With 20% of AZ being unemployed, you think one would be interested in actually doing their job. Unless they work on percentage of sales bonus commission, etc and I was taking up to much of his time. Unreal. Vet your employees people.

Came in today with my boyfriend and I am so glad we chose this place! The staff was very friendly right off the bat. We got hellos and smiles from everyone which is very nice since we had a rough weekend. The whole crew made us feel comfortable. Dr. Lee had a nice energy and the process was quick feeling. We worked closely with Jacob C. on ordering the glasses. He was awesome. He made us feel like he genuinely cared about getting my boyfriend back in some good glasses. The whole crew was great. Just got my new glasses at Visionworks in The Pavilion location and had a fantastic experience. Dr. Peter Lehmann was simply AMAZING with his thorough and hilarious explanation of my ocular health.Alex V. conducted all the preparation tests in a most professional manner & Colin took ample time to make sure he found the best options for me based on my insurance coverage.When a virtual parade of people came into the office literally out of nowhere... the Store Manager made absolutely sure we all stayed within a safe distance and even turned walk-ins away in order to preserve everyone’s safety.I’m a client for life!

When my insurance changed coverage a few years ago I was concerned about changing to Visionworks. Both doctors that I have seen over the past 2 years are caring, thorough and spent time helping me find the best contacts for my eyes. All staff are friendly, upbeat and helpful. Great service!

I have been coming to this Visionworks location for several years now. I had an eye exam and bought a pair of glasses a few years ago, which was a fantastic experience in itself.When I first came in a few years ago, everyone was very helpful from the exam to the purchasing of the glasses. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the wonderful lady who assisted me with picking out my frames the first time around, but she was a MIRACLE worker! I have always had a difficult time finding frames that fit my face, but within 2 minutes (no joke!), she had found the PERFECT pair for me. I have been very pleased with them since.Recently, I decided to save some money and purchase some glasses online. Long story short, I ended up with 2 new pairs. I had tried to get one of the pairs adjusted a few weeks prior to writing this review, but they did not get adjusted how I had wanted. So, I ended up going back yesterday evening to get both pairs adjusted this time.I was so pleased with my experience yesterday by Jacob that I had to make a Google account just for this review! Jacob was extremely kind and friendly from the moment he greeted me until the moment I left. I am very particular with how I like my glasses adjusted and he was understanding and patient, and adjusted them perfectly in hardly no time at all! Jacob is an asset to your team there, and I am very impressed with his professionalism as well as his customer service.Thank you Jacob!

The doctor that I saw, Dr Lehmann, made me feel very comfortable and I knew that I was getting an expert exam. The other employees were equally helpful in the office as well as the store. I purchased 3 pairs of super cute glasses and got a great exam all for a reasonable price. Highly recommend

Stopped in quickly after running to multiple pharmacies with a panicked child. She wears a glass contact at night and uses a small plunger to get it out. As we were visiting from out of town to house hunt, she lost the plunger and had this contact stuck in her eye all morning. As a final plea for help, we found this place with wonderful staff. Though they did not have the little plunger, they worked with her, giving us advice on how to get it out. Everyone was patient with her and so kind. We will definitely use them, once we move.

Today was my first visit to Visionworks and I have to say I was very impressed. From the moment I walked in I was immediately greeted and taken care of. The optometrist was excellent and explained things clearly to me. Heenen was very polite and professional when testing my eyes. Savannah was very professional, polite, personable and helpful. She really listened to me and what I needed. She explained all my options without high pressuring me and made me very comfortable. I will definitely be coming back again for my next exam. I had an overall great experience at Vision Works in Scottsdale! Doctor was very thorough, other employees helped me pick frames that look good on me, and I felt so welcome! They really made sure I walked out with a smile on my face.

I was impressed with the doctor I saw, very knowledgeable.My experience with the sales person was another story! I was quoted an outrageous amount for 2 pair of glasses even with my vision insurance. So I shopped around.I was able to beat Vision works prices at a competitor. I walked out of the competitor with 3 pair of glasses without using my insurance and the cost was less than your quote for 2 pair!!!!

Always friendly and even before COVID-19 always clean and always make sure customers are ok and making sure they are good and are finding the right glasses!!

I would like to start saying that I have not experienced such a great customer service in a while. My parents came to visit me all the way from Ukraine and my mom needed glasses. Before we went to Visionworks she went to another location eye glasses place in Iowa and they failed to satisfy her needs. The workers at vision Works were amazingly friendly and professional the minute we walked in. They gave us a great customer service, helped us out right away. The doctor was amazing. The eye doctor gave my mom a very thorough eye exam. He was right on. He was very patient and pleasant. One of the ladies who works there helped my mom with the frames. She chose about 15 frames to find the perfect one for my mom. She was exceptionally kind and professional. My parents and I had a great experience at Visionworks. I will refer all my friends to this particular eye glass store. We are definitely more than happy with the customer service and the outcome.

Excellent Service! I was traveling and needed to buy a case of contacts. I called Vision works and, although they didnt have a case in stock they offered to give me a trial set (which they had) if I stopped by. Excellent service, I usually goto Costco but this service was much better.

I was in desperate need of an exam and Sarah helped me and got me in despite having a full schedule. She even helped me pick out a killer pair of glasses. Sarah is truly the reason this store is still running, and I will definitely be back.

I was just a walk in, my insurance is really awesome, so I decided on a whim to go to vision works. From the start everyone was super nice, and helpful. They were able to get me in right then and there. I didnt want to get my eyes dilalated so I chose the picture scan thing. Oh my gosh it was awesome. I got to see what my eyes actually look like. I got awesome frames and sunglasses as well. I love vision works and would suggest going there to everyone!!! Thumbs up for sure!

I had to lower my rating. The service was wonderful but it has been disappointing that the glasses have taken over 2 weeks to be made. Plus, I was never notified they were finally ready. I had to call multiple times to see if they had arrived.My first review... I was very impressed. The optometrist took his time and explained things during my exam and Savannah was a sweetheart. She, patiently, helped me to find the right frames. :)

Super fast and is just amazing at correcting my prescription, I went to another location closer to home last year and have been struggling with what they gave me, but Dr.Lehman corrected it, fast and friendly and the staff are are very professional! Best vision works around, I drove 45 minutes to this location!

This place has the most wonderful staff. Had quite the amount of complications in regards to insurance, however, the staff worked through it and made sure I get the best treatment and deals. Rawan and Sarah at the front were the two sweetest ladies, very patient. I had an amazing experience at this location. My appointment was thorough and the doctor was very good to explain everything to me. The eye technicians who helped me select my frames were so patient and kind! The whole process was very smooth and I was in and out quickly without ever feeling rushed. Had many complications with another location regarding insurance and customer service in general. The frames I really wanted were only at Visionworks so we tried this location and the staff here were extremely helpful and they worked out everything. Ended up not getting the frames I liked before but Michelle Bruning the general manager and Marjorie were extremely helpful in helping me pick out the perfect frames. This location met all my needs.

I have had really great eye exams and glasses at this store. I had some issues with my glasses I bought in January and asked the general manager Michell if there was anything that could be done. Without hesitation she said she wanted me to be very happy with my glasses and ordered the remaking of the lenses. This was really good customer service!

I was very pleased with this location including the Dr and the staff that assisted with glasses and contacts. The Dr really took the time to explain why my current brand of contacts, which I had been using and recommended by another Dr we’re not the best I could be wearing. I go every year for eye exams and yearly contacts. To be told the contacts I was wearing were popular in the “80’s” they’ve come along way since then blew my mind! Instead of bi- weekly I’ve changed to monthly contacts (win!) and there are a lot of other differences of the two brands that he explained. The newer contacts are also less expensive, go figure! With the money I saved on contacts I bought a new pair of glasses and they were really patient and nice while I picked those out.Really, don’t waste your time going to America’s Best, Walmart or any other run of the mill eye place. Go someplace where the the Dr cares and your not treated like cattle to get in and out. Your making a big purchase you deserve to take your time

I happened to lose my glasses while on vacation came to vision works to get new ones. The staff was really accommodating and helpful, and the manager, Michelle, was an immense help when picking out new frames! I ended up getting my glasses back within the hour, which I thought was a pretty quick turn around.

They didn’t make me feel bad about being negligent, instead they made me promise to let them take care of me. Ive been going here for YEARS. Their new office is amazing and the doctor is very straight to the point. He asks you the troubles and works backwards from there. The employees there sit down and make sure youre getting the best bang for your buck. Its hard for me to compare other places as Ive been going here since I was a child! Again, highly recommended.

When I came to this Visionworks, I needed a new prescription, contacts, and glasses. In the two months and five visits it took to make that happen, I never spent less than 30 min waiting for someone. My longest was my initial visit that took over 2.5 hours for an eye exam and finding frames.In fact, I’m currently sitting in their office waiting to pick up contacts, something that should take 15 min tops will most likely take another 30 min more. I can’t say I’ve seen any sense of urgency or any push to get to customers more quickly.I liked the doctor and most of the staff here but if you have any kind of time restraints, find somewhere else.

I broke my glasses while on vacation but i was very lucky to find this place before they closed. They were extremely friendly and patient with my eye Care physician back home. Such an excellent staff!

I only gave it 4 stars simply because Visonworks is still a proud member of the Luxotica cartel and are partly to blame for artificially driving healthcare (in this case, eyeglasses) sky high. But, being one of the lucky few in America with health insurance, I am able to get some of the exorbitant costs for glasses in this country covered.As for the store, the staff is super friendly, and quite knowledgeable! Easy to work with, and they did make it hassle free to work with my insurance. The turn around time is no different than ordering online. Although, the company does make sure that your oculadr distance is NOT on your prescription, in order to keep you from taking what is rightfully yours and order eyeglasses online yourself .But the staff do take the time to get it right. In fact, when I lost both pairs of my glasses and needed new ones asap, they stayed open past their close time just so I could rush in the day they got my pair in, and they took the time to make sure the fit was correct. And they didnt complain at all!So, while I have major beef with the industry, this individual stores staff and doctors are quite good at what they do.

10/08/19 was my first eye exam in 2yrs and my first time meeting Dr. Peter Lehmann - he is now one of my favorite doctors of all time! Dr. Lehman was extremely knowledgeable and taught me so many things about my eyes and re-educated me on proper contact wear. I know my eyes thank him already.All of the Visionworks staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable as well. Jacob helped me pick out my new frames. He was a joy to be around, patient, and very thoughtful in selecting frames that would compliment my face and accommodate my -9.50 vision. He ensured I had the top of the line lenses too (anti-glare, etc).I know I left Visionworks with not only the best deal on my frames and contacts, but the best quality. Thank you Dr. Lehmann and Jacob for making this the most pleasant healthcare appointment ever!

Staff here are so friendly! Sarah who works at front desk of exam area is very personable, Dr. Lehmann was great, they get you in/out quickly...and John was so helpful and honest with assisting me in selecting my glasses...everyone there made you feel so welcomed and helpful. I went based on other reviews and because Im in the area daily.....highly recommend. Glad I went! Made an appointment easily on line Fri night for Saturday appt...Sarah was great about following up next day to make sure all was in place before I came in. They are my go-to eye place now and will definitely recommend to friends and other family. Thank you everyone!!

There is a difference between the Visionworks stores! Its the opticians! My long story starts with the BOGO deal by which I scored 4 pairs of Rx glasses for $1200.  My script is very expensive.  I got my 4 pair. They were ok....nothing great. Then I visited the Visionworks at the Pavilions. Spontaneous compulsion forced me to buy another pair. When I received these...well BAM !!! My vision was unbelievably clear in all 3 progressive areas. It was SURPRISING ... which indicated that Id never been properly measured for progressives until JOHN, at the Pavilions store, did the measurement.  I brought in my previously purchased 4 pairs.  JOHN remeasured all 4. All 4 were WAY OFF.  Johns store had not been the store that made the 4 wrong pairs, but JOHNS store took the loss for me and made it so I have 5 incredible, clear, and focused pairs of glasses. Thanks so much to John, Jacob and Taylor. You guys rock.

This location was amazing today!! I came in super last minute and hasty! My glasses had fallen out of my car earlier in the morning and were ran over. So I really needed a pair fast!! They were not only able to fill my prescription, but the glasses were done in an hour! Great customer service and a speedy pick up! I will definitely be coming back for my glasses needs!!

I went in for a refraction test. I walked in and was treated very professional by a young lady at the eye exam counter. I o told her what I wanted and expected I would have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for appt. To my surprise she smiled and said it would be only 15 minute wait! Wow! I was a happy camper. The doctor was very professional also!I will be going here from now own.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. This location also has a machine that takes pictures of your eyes rather than having to get dilated. I hate eye drops so this is an awesome alternative.

Prior to today’s visit I’d been in here 3x since May 2017 and dealt w horrible customer service and had decided not to come back again but because they had my prescription already on file I decided to give it another try and came in and had the pleasure to meet Sarah. It was maybe a 20-25 min visit and honestly that’s all it took. Thank you for your amazing customer service Sarah! :)

The doctor was very personable and patient with my questions, and Jacob and Savannah were so helpful to me while picking out the perfect frames for my glasses. Overall a Great experience!

Good experience. Assisted by a friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable person. He knew what needed to be done & he made the adjustments to my glasses in just seconds. When we came in & when we left, the door was held open for us both times. That made an impression on me. If thats how VisionWorks welcomes & helps their customers, then definitely, I will recomment them to others.

What an astounding experience I’ve had at Visionworks. I was warmly greeted by savannah, who walked me to the doctors office, and Daniel, who did my pre-tests was very helpful in assisting me with technological devices. A young lady named Mari, helped with my frame selection and gave me the optimal solution for lenses. What I loved the most, was the optose machine that takes a picture of your eye instead of having them dilated. These people really love what they do, thanks guys!

Both my daughter and I had a great experience with the optometrist and staff. We would definitely go back.

This place is a total shitshow. When first making my appointment, I was told my insurance wasnt accepted, even though I saw them last year and my ins. hasnt changed. It took three phone calls to get that sorted. The person selling me glasses tried to get me to join his MLM while I was picking frames. The exam and glasses selection process took 2.5+ hrs. Every time I called, the person answering the phone couldnt answer simple questions so they put me on hold to find a manager, meaning a five minute conversation took 15 min. I paid for contacts the day of my eye exam but didnt order them because I was trying out lenses. I have had two appointments since then to try out contacts and am finally happy with them. I go to order the contacts today with the money I paid at my initial appt. They couldnt find the $200 payment. Thankfully, I used my FSA card and was able to pull up the transactions, otherwise Im sure they would have asked me to pay the difference. The doctor is good but I dont trust any other part of this practice. Your eyes are important, dont chance them on this place.

Needed my sunglasses adjusted while on vacation. Staff was very courteous. Would make this location my go to for all my eyewear needs if I lived in the area.
