Excellent service from both Dr. Stein and Jason, the technician who fittedmy new glasses. Top notch service all the way!

I was very impressed with Jason Davis. I ordered progressive lenses and when I received they were a little bit off for the reading. I called and told Jason I was not satisfied with the reading part of the progressive lens expecting him to say there was nothing they could do but instead he said he will have new lenses made because there is a slight adjustment they could do. He also informed me about a discount that I could receive with my insurance that I did not know about. Jason is extremely knowledgeable and extremely good with handling problems. He has a great attitude. My husband is going to get new glasses soon and we will be going to Target Optical even though it very far from where we are now.

You might think that by going to a big stores optical department you wouldnt get the personal service you deserve. However, thats not the case at the Target Optical shop at the North Scottsdale Target Store in The Summit. Jason, Ty, and Jeane are SUPER HELPFUL, know you by name, and do everything possible to make sure youre happy with you purchase and prescription.

Best experience with my eye exam and glasses

I never leave reviews online but I was so upset by my experience that I felt the need to leave some info for others. Today I experienced some of the worst customer service I have ever had. The story starts earlier this year.... My daughter (11y/o) had an eye exam scheduled at the beginning of April, I got emails saying my appointment was scheduled and confirmed, but with everything going on the world I decided to call and make sure the appointment was good but the doctor answered and said they were closed for appointments due to COVID and they had called everyone but must have missed me. Good thing I called and saved my self a trip. On July 1 I finally got an email letting me know they are taking exams again so I went ahead and scheduled one through the online portal, the next available appointment that I could make work wasnt until September 12 1pm(today) so I booked it. Before my appointment I received several automated emails reminding me of my upcoming appointment and I even got a request to confirm my appointment in the most recent one that I received earlier in this week. Today I showed up for my appointment at 12:58pm and I was told I was late and would have to reschedule. I was surprised because I was really right on time so I contested. Then Jean proceeded to tell me that my appointment was at 12:30pm and not 1pm. Again, I contested because I have a multiple confirmation emails stating my appointment was at 1pm. When I tried to show her the email on my phone she brushed me off and said I dont know what to tell you, we only do appointments on the half hour and you are late and we cant get you in you will have to reschedule. She also said they called me the day before to confirm, but I checked my call logs and had no call from their office and no voicemail was left - I assume they didnt call because I confirmed online through the emails. Ty said it was possible that he dialed my number wrong....so I rescheduled the appointment right away but they cant get me in for another 9 days. I will reschedule somewhere else but wanted to hold a spot just in case. I was so embarrassed by the way these employees treated me and had no care at all for my evidence and my time. Also, they have the optical area blocked off with barricades so no one can enter unless permitted and Jean and Ty wouldnt even approach me at the barricade to discuss the issue and with the masks and plexiglass I had to shout across the entire optical center so they could hear me which made me appear to be making a scene (which is NOT something I would EVER do). People starting hanging around listening to me and her go back and forth and I was soooo embarrassed. We have seen Dr Stein before and he was a nice doctor but we WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN

Received diagnosis of excessive plaque build up in the arteries and veins of the eye. The doctor here (Stein) will not dilate pupils for proper exam. Doctor Stein advised to seek lipid testing and screening immediately. Went cardiologist and very qualified ophthalmologist for second opinion and discovered that I did not have any plaque and arteries and veins were healthy. Was unnecessarily stressed from scary misdiagnosis and incurred excessive medical bills as a result. I do not recommend.

I would give negative 20 if I could. Avoid this practice. Extremely unethical with the release of your prescription. They are so obviously needy and desperate for your money, they refuse you the right to shop where you want for contacts. Its actually illegal. The rude receptionist at the front finally agreed to fax my script, because its my legal right, as they are my medical records, but went ahead and erased my actual script,before faxing, so it was not legible. Classy move. Definitely gave a few of the representatives at the big box contact stores big laughs. What a pathetic person, they thought. I Will be filing with the BBB, contacting the FTC, and the licensing board of Optometry. It is illegal to withhold someones eye exam, or to mar it so badly that it is not legible.

I had a terrible experience. I had an appointment on Tuesday. The woman who answered the phone is very rude and mean. Target optical does not work with your schedule. They gave me a trial pair and my eye right eye is swollen. The swelling started on Wednesday. I called on Thursday to see if they could get me in as soon as possible. The earliest they could get me in was the following Tuesday. Talk about urgency. Once I get this problem fixed, I will never return to this target. Very unprofessional.

I have always found the staff there to be very friendly and professional. They also have an excellent assortment of high-end brands, and by far the best pricing.

Jean is fantastic andStein is amazing

I called this morning to reschedule my appointment because I woke up with the stomach flu. The associate who took my call could not have been more unprofessional. She went on for about a minute lecturing me on how busy and booked they were with a waitlist and how I need to give 24 hour notice. When I could get a word in edgewise I apologized for the inconvenience and told her I had been throwing up all morning and did not want to get their staff sick. I will not be rescheduling or booking any future appointments with target optical. I am absolutely shocked and mortified by the poor customer service I received and will also be contacting Targets corporate office to file a complaint.

I called to let them know I would be bringing in a new prescription for my little girl. When asked about the turn around time I was told 10+ days. When I told him she cant go out without her glasses that long and if he could please call the lab to possibly expedite he interrupted me and told me he wouldnt be doing anything of the sort. He was super rude. Unapologetic. Needless to say we ended up going elsewhere where we gave been promised 5-7 days and they were very helpful. They also didnt need to take her glasses. Target optical has awful customer service!

I have tried 3 times to schedule an appointment. I fill out all the information, try to continue, and the application will not go through. Looking elsewhere.
