I am SO glad I found this marina. I just did a Google Maps search & this one was right off the Intracoastal Waterway so I figured Id give them a call. They had available transient slip so I booked it. When I arrived they helped me dock (being single handed thats huge.) The service was great. All the employees were really nice. They have a FREE Courtesy car. They have all the expected services (Laundry, Pump Out, Fuel). The showers were clean and in good working order. They also deliver donuts to your boat every Morning (I dont do donuts, but its a neat tradition & the thought that counts). The docks are all in great shape / well maintained. Probably some of the best Ive seen. (No broken cleats, or power pedestals, concrete all in great shape, ramps coated with non slip and no rust in sight). They even have on sight mechanics. Really top notch. I couldnt be happier with my stay and 100% would recommend / return here.

Full service boat yard that does most of its work on pleasure boats from 40-200 for the most part. They do some work on commercial vessels. They provide dockage and have fuel. Good place to stop as a transient and to get some work done if you have a yacht.

I recently took my boat in for some much-needed structural repairs and I am super pleased with the results. TMI did a superb job with re-skinning the bottom of my tri-toon boat as well as painting/burnishing all toons. They went above and beyond by welding the new aluminum plates instead of using rivets. The underbelly of my boat now looks to be bullet proof! They also did a great job repairing a toon, the diving board, as well as installing a new ladder. Their work is top-notch, and we are lucky to have them in our area. Everyone I delt with was professional and friendly, especially Karen Pranschke and President Ernie D’Alto who treated us like family. Thank you everyone at TMI!!!

Super helpful staff. Cant remember his name but he used to work for bass pro and now he works here. Just a shout out to him for his continued awesome customer service. They also have a great supply of product.

Great boat yard! The most on-time yard we have ever visited! Great personnel, great Krispy Kreams, Karen is awesome as is Rob on the docks! You will see the smallest tugs to the largest ships! Amazing place to just sit and watch! They do it all! The ONLY complaint, and we mean only, is they charge you storage fees when they are working on your boat on the hard. They are a great yard with great folks! We will be back!

This place is amazing! We stayed here one month and we didn’t want to leave anymore. There is a courtesy car, a boat house with a pool table and a small swimming pool, washers and dryers and a barbecue.The people are very professional and helpful, Karin from the office arranged letters of residency for us so we could get our COVID vaccination, Earnest came out to help us when we had trouble with the car, Sandy received mail for us and Rob told us about the music venues in town. Rob and Hal were great and the gardeners and security guards were great too.We recommend staying here for a while because Savannah has a lot to offer too!

Awesome Marina and repair facilities

Almost didnt consider this boat yard because of Wassaw sound. My sailing catamarans mast is 91 ft tall so going down the ICW was not an option for me. I contacted Kevin who was very professional and great to work with. He was busy managing larger vessels but took the time to photograph my vessels progress. We had a little miss communication on when the vessel was going back in the water but Kevin was a man of word and resolved our issue with no crazy costs. I will for sure be back to this boat yard for any service I need and I have already recommended Thunderbolt for a few barges that my friends own. Thanks again Kevin.

Rob was the best dockmaster ever. Plus Krispy Kremes in the morning!

Rob, the dock master helped me get tied up, pointed out a few restaurants, the bathrooms/showers and the laundry. Half dozen glazed Krispy Kreme donuts delivered to my boat and waiting for me the next morning. What a treat and they sure were delicious. Also to my surprise, the private bathroom/shower. Shower stall was so big, you could invite a few friends and call it a party. Very clean and plenty of hot water. Even though I only stayed on night, it was a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Unbelievable place, only 2 like this in Georgia, so luck to get a tour.

We are cruising the loop and this wasa great place for a short stopover. Dock master is super friendly and showers are clean. Coffee is provided, and donuts delivered to your boat. Its the little things.

Even though I didn’t technically use their services I wanted to leave a review. I had an issue and was calling around and Karen was very helpful. She was prompt in her replies and gave great information and suggestions. Even though she wasn’t able to accommodate me I felt like she had really tried. Unfortunately, due to the current situation and staffing issues they have to deal with because of it, I had to look elsewhere. But the courtesy and professionalism were outstanding and I’m sure you would be very well served to use their services.

Thus far, hands down our favorite stop on our first trip down the ICW. Dock master Rob provided the assistance we needed and has such a great personality to be around. Absolutely spotless marina and facilities. Good fuel prices. Easy in and easy out in the current. Dog friendly with really nice grounds. We walked a short way along the waterway to Thunderbolt...nice old oak trees and a couple of restaurants that were obviously popular...beautiful surroundings. We also met Jim, a regular at the marina, who made our short visit there very welcoming. Really nice stay...will definitely return for the morning donuts :)

Well I must be forthright that Im very bias when it comes Thunderbolt Marine...... Ive worked there for 15 years.. I see it in its infancy....But what tells the story about Thunderbolt Marine is that for last 15 years we havent lost a customer,,, yes we have gained some new one.... But business is kept afloat by the repeats / the satisfied customer.... You cant go wrong by having your yachting needs taken care of here.. Remember that Im bias.....

This place is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff are sweet and helpful. Everything is so clean and its made my long trip from Kentucky all the better. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Very impressed :)

It is a beautiful place for yachts and services.

We had the misfortune of developing Turbo problems on our port engine while cruising to the Chesapeake last month. Fortuitously, Thunderbolt Marina was close by and readily provided docking space in the marine yard where we were immediately attended to by Kevin, the project manager. Within hours a mechanic visited the boat to assess the problem and begin reparations. Over the next 2 weeks, Kevin, unfailingly, checked in on us to be sure we had everything we needed. The communication was excellent, Karen and the office personnel exceptional, insisting I bring our dog inside out of the heat when visiting their office! She gave us a key to access the club house 24/7 with clean bathrooms, large sitting room with big screen TV, dining area and kitchen facilities. The marina office provided a courtesy car whenever we needed it. My husband and I have owned boats for over 40 years, with many marina experiences and must say, Thunderbolt Marine is one of the finest we have ever dealt with!Dan and Donna HardyM/V Rhumbline

I’ve done a couple of redits here over the years and the yard is well equipped to handle yachts up to 200 feet no worries. They have a few feadships and other large yachts there every year for there yearly yard maintenance.

Very toxic place to work, I’m embarrassed for the whole place, weird very weird soo weird. Human Resources was absolutely horrible, the managers of the boat yard were toxic as well. If your looking for a job stay as far away from that place as possible.
