I recently took the drive to PEL, rolling deep across Fruitville into a part of Sarasota Id never been to before. I am glad I did. PEL is such a trove of unique and generally high quality furniture, lamps and interesting old items, what a gem of a store. Their friendly volunteers are very helpful. Yes, parking is a bit of a challenge, but very doable, unless perhaps you are accustomed to valet service.

We went to an estate sale by PEL 7/27/2021. Kudos to the volunteer staff. They were very kind and acommodating. Robin worked with us. There was a bedroom set of 2 night table chests. We only need one.They sold us one as we requested. We returned the next day purchasing $700 of beautiful high end furniture. Today we went to the warehouse. Ample parking on the street. Beautiful quality hi-end clean furniture.

Fantastic people, fantabulous experience. My friend brought a chair last week and she and I are ready to find the next bargain there!

Nice selection. Difficult parking situation. The PEL board members are a bunch of snotty women who need to learn some humility.

An ad for PEL came across my facebook page so I decided to go and check it out. I love this place. They have beautiful and different furniture. While I was there, I spotted a vase I thought my mother would like, to replace the one I accidently broke. So I took a picture of it and went home and showed it to her, and she wanted it. I googled the store to see what time they close and that is when I saw they had a lot of 1 star reviews. The majority of these reviews all with the same beef, parking issues, location and rudeness. I have to say the employees could not have been nicer to me. Someone made an off the wall remark about the store being small. I asked what the square footage of the store is and was told 9,000. That store looked pretty big to me. Now about these reviews, 10 out of 31 people gave bad reviews ALL 1 year ago. All 10 people who left these reviews have only reviewed 1 establishment. Do you honestly want me to believe that 1 year after leaving these reviews none of these 10 people could find 1 business they liked enough to review nor could they find 1 business they disliked enough to review, I dont think so! I write this because I own a business and I know what fake reviews look like, and I dont like it! To Mary Ron, Lena S, Nance R, Reggie Germont, Trish G, Laura Martineau, Floy Riscrano, Michelle G, Christina Belmar and Mona Leibwitz you ALL should be ASHAMED of yourselves! Leaving fake reviews to hurt most likely your competitor. Thats not right! All I can say is KARMA BABY!

Wonderful and interesting array of furniture, art work, and jewelry. Styles are varied. Turnover is high since merchandise in excellent shape and prices are very reasonable. The sales women are extremely nice and go out of their way to be helpful. Great consignment store!

This is my New FAVORITE place !!!!I have been to your fabulous spot for three weeks in a row and have been treated with nothing but kindness and respect. Your inventory is of the finest quality and your pricing is very favorable. May you continue to be BLESSED beyond measure. I love this place! I was surprised to see negative remarks about the location since it is a very safe location on a little street with great high-end antique stores. All the volunteers working there have always gone out of their way to be extremely kind and helpful to me. The negative reviews seem fishy 🐟. There are a few posted around the same time, likely by the same person trying to hurt your business somehow. Sad, since this is a non-profit doing good work to help others. I dont post often, but felt the need to do so when I saw what was happening with those comments.

My wife and I are seasonal residents of Englewood, which is a good hour drive from PEL. We have visited this store a number of times and purchased something each visit. We have always found the volunteer staff, to be cordial and helpful. We were impressed with hearing how engaged PEL is within the Sarasota community with youth at risk and presenting one group with a check for $60,000 to such a group, just last week. Bravo!!! This is but one, of a number of beneficiaries of PELS’ outreach programs.We highly recommend PEL for treasure hunting and will continue to be among their loyal customers.

Amazing upscale resale store with a great mix of new and vintage items. The selection is quite large and the the staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Be prepared to pay a bit more than you would at some of the other thrift shops, but we really like their selection of goods (less junk/more antiques and nice quality items). Its definitely worth the trip!

Wonderful resource for finding treasures. The constantly changing inventory makes PEL worth visiting often. The best!

I find PEL to be an excellent location for antiques and modern furniture, they even sell miscellaneous household items! The best part of all is that all the purchases go to benefit the youth community of Sarasota!

I bought something there. Wasnt crazy about the stuffy attitudes but I found something I could use.

All four in our party agree that a different location would be better. Not comfortable going there again.

The location was very easy to find, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful, and I was able to find everything I needed. There were a variety of items to look at and choose from including furniture, art, clothes, purses and more.

PEL is so easy to work with, they have wonderful finds, and the prices are reasonable. This is my new favorite consignment shop.

Despite the lousy reviews, we decided to make the trip anyway. Its like the worst parking in the world there. Didnt even go in. Never again.
