I always leave bookstores with more items than originally planned...I love books! Nice store, helpful staff. Coffee shop was okay, it didnt seem like wiping down the tables was done frequently enough, I had to wipe down my chosen table.

I just love Barnes & Noble, Im so grateful they still have book(brick) & mortar establishments(lol), while so many businesses and bookstores move to on line only :( A great place to meet friends for a coffee & Ive started to use it as a safe meeting place for my young teen (son)& his first special friend! Her Mother and I browse,visit and have coffee from Starbucks while they SAFELY wander & visit with each other. Will go back again & again! HIGHLY recommend :)

I was looking for a study guide for Atlas Shrugged and they actually had one!! I was delighted and the lady that looked up for me was very helpful and friendly as well!

Went 10 in the morning. Guy working checkout in front, seemed like some type of supervisor very uppity. And bought 3 items and just handed me reciept. What about a BAG!!! amazing..younger people in there working more manners and common sense

Its nice to have the experience of being in an actual bookstore. However, there are very few books here that you could not get cheaper online. Thats a shame, there are always some random bargain bins, but dont expect the thing youre looking for to be on sale.

Id forgotten how much fun it was to browse inside B&N! Online shopping doesnt always lend itself to as much discovery as being in-person and having a bookcover grab ones attention.Granted, newer titles are spendy, but there are incredible bargains on the clearance racks - and that goes for nifty gift items, too.Also cool to see the huge selection of magazine choices which arent available elsewhere.And the Starbucks is still open inside the roomy Cafe area...In all, twas enjoyable to browse actually vs virtually!

Stopped in to check the graphic novel and manga selections. Good selections but did not find the first volumes of what I wanted (alien franchise stuff) but had a big selection of a lot of stuff. Also had the complete series for most of the manga selections.

Many outlets and usually pretty quiet (think of a typical book store or library). They actually have a much larger selection than stand-alone Starbucks... Such as normal Sodas, Sandwiches, Snacks all of which I have not seen at any local Starbucks and I visit them often...TOYS / GAMES / FUN:At back of the store is a hidden (from front of store) but as you get 1/2 way through store you see the HUGE Toy, Game, Puzzle, etc. section. It’s MASSIVE. I have to say that they did something Toys-R-Us did not, they focused on toys/games/fun NOT sold at Walmart or Target.... Honestly, I’ve never saw these toys/games ever. It was my Mom who walked to the back of the store as I was working at Starbucks that told me about it.PARENTS / GRANDPARENTS:Again; the Toy section is a MUST as there are many fun toys which I honestly wish they had when my kids were littler as they are cool games you can play with the kids and its fun for them and you. They even have “AR” games so they are ‘hybrid’ games which are board type games and old school games that you can use your smartphone and see a different aspect via AR technology.

There was a wide variety and the atmosphere was very cosy, even for as large as it was. I didnt check out the Starbucks inside, but I saw other people enjoying coffee and waiting for members of their group. It seems like a good place to hang out, even if you dont buy a book while youre there. Me and my mom got several books, and they even had manga. The magnetic bookmarks are all very cool and cute, and they had toys and games for younger kids with the kids books, as well as puzzles for any age.

We looked at and purchased books. My granddaughters were excited about the large variety of books.

I LOVE this store. Best selection of puzzles in Sarasota! There is also a huge kids area with a Lego table, Thomas The Train tracks table, and a stage! Not to mention - all of the BOOKS! I never have a problem getting a book I am looking for, or finding a new book! The staff is also great if I need help.

I absolutely love Barnes & Noble. It has such a serene atmosphere and a great variety of books. I can easily spend two hours just browsing. The cafe is also nice to just sit and relax with a drink and sweet treat. Best part is finding out my membership is still going strong!

Extremely helpful. Tried to find the book I wanted it, and when realized they didnt have it they contacted another store and plan to send it to me in a couple days. Awesome place and my go-to for buying books.

I couldnt find my number for my membership. They tried to lookup a couple of times. I spent $117 and not able to use my membership. I was told to call an 800 number.🙄

Wonderful book selection!

Always loved B&N. Went there to get a new Medici Lions journal. Be careful, though. I went there on a Sunday. The following Tuesday, a mysterious charge for $412 showed up on my debit card. The charge was made at a nearby Walmart Supercenter in the same town! Lucky that Suncoast Credit Union reversed it. But B&N was the ONLY place I visited and made a purchase that Sunday.

This is such a fun place to shop. Im a gamer and anime nerd so me and my bf have a lot of fun shopping here. They also have a nice selection of gifts besides just journals and books.

Went to this location on Valentine’s Day 2021 and was threatened by a rude, belligerent employee that she was going to call the police on me because I didn’t have a mask (even though there are no laws requiring anyone to wear a mask). If you have a medical disability that prevents you from wearing a mask, shop elsewhere as Barnes & Noble will discriminate against your ADA protected disability.

Having worked for Borders, I think I know a thing or two about chain bookstores. I have to say that I was very impressed with this location. All the displays were perfect, the store was clean, and the booksellers that I encountered were all friendly and knowledgeable. Even the bargain section was immaculate. I was amazed at how big the store was, as I was expecting a much smaller space. The periodical section was huge and in perfect order. Barnes and Noble has survived because they have done a lot of things right and this store is proof of that. While I love independent stores, its still nice to walk into a store that has such a large selection of titles. The childrens section was almost as big as Borders old Michigan Avenue flagship store in Chicago. The Lego sets, games, and collectibles were a nice adjunct to the books. They even have vinyl, I never thought I would be able to flip through new albums in a bin again wondering why I got rid of my turntable and speakers so many years ago. There is something visceral about the aroma of new books that greets you when you enter a large bookstore, and, for a few moments, it was as if I had returned to my old store, surrounded by so many good friends.

I expect better customer service. Not sure why 3 people were needed at the empty customer service desk when the line was 7 deep and climbing during a pandemic.

I love taking the kids here and finding new books on new topics for them to explore. The occasional toy or fancy pen is a must. People are friendly and keep a very professional feel. I love talking to some of the people you come across looking for something new themselves. Books and the written word are important for society. This kind of business makes the world a better place.

I dunno, the selection of books here is really suffering, at least when it comes to how to books in graphic design, or magazines based on the sale subject. I used to come here all the time to for these kind of books, and there used to be a like an entire 2 rows of these books. Bit now?I wonder if the online book market has started taking its toll on these brick and mortar stores...?I just feel like book store of this size have started losing their gradure of years ago. lol. Theres a bunch of toys there now in place of where there used to be books. Anyway, long story short, I couldnt find the how to books, or magazines, I was looking for.

My kids favorite book store! They have a wonderful kids section and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They are very good with kids. There is a Starbucks inside the store, so you can get a coffee and walk through the store, check out books. Sometimes they have kids programme but it is better to check their website first before you go. Thank you all for your excellent customer service!

Bathroom is sub par especially for having a coffee shop inside. Also its like way far in the back.

You allow customers to sit in the store eating drinking and not socially distancing and even when I walk around with a coffee BILL and STEPHEN threatened me and followed me around (because the corona is so dangerous...they follow you. ) They refused to ask anyone but me to wear a mask even though several other people were in the building maskless

Cool but no music section anymore.

Pretty much the same as every Barnes and Noble. With all these franchise companies, its a combination between local management and corporate management. Corporate management is generally not to be trusted by any means, and local management is a shot in the dark. This place seems like they arent customer oriented. I tried to buy a toy for my 2-year-old, and it was quite an ordeal. I received very little help and support from the staff and they basically seemed to try to avoid eye contact with me. Not sure what that was all about.

It was ok. I needed help and the older man at the info desk treated me like helping me was not on his list of priorities.

Premier bookstore in this area. The staff is great at letting you browse but willing to offer help when needed.

Amazing book store. In my area there arent many book stores so I had to go out of my way to get to this one. But it was worth it. A great selection of books for everyone of all ages. Awesome board games, figurines, some more of the counter-culture items, toys and so forth. Although the selection for these things werent necessarily big or extensive. Its a book store and they definitely made up for that. Good place for a date too!

I came here for the first time last weekend. It was amazing their. If you live in the area and are looking for a new book store come here. The books a million near me closed down.

So love an actual brick and mortar bookstore! They have an excellent selection of books and lots of interesting gift items including journals, calendars, toys and collectibles. My favorite way to spend an afternoon browsing. I always find something for my book collection here.

One of the last bookstores and still a great place to visit. Great books. Great cafe with really good cookies. Prices better than on Amazon and a lot better selection. Great place to look at printed books. Really a busy place. Long line at check out but moves very fast because more than enough cashiers. Plenty of parking; convenient location on 41 south. Right next the Best Buy.

I love it here! You can run in our go all day! Comfy chairs to read in! A magical childrens area complete with you trains to play with! They sell toys, candy, cards, beautiful journals, games, and there is a Starbucks inside! Grab your family and enjoy it or take some time for yourself and explore the world through books!

This one was clean and well organized. Not as big as some of the ones I visit but we found the book we wanted in less than 5 minutes. When I need another book I will stop here again.

I have always loved Barnes & Noble especially the one here. Its a terrific place to browse books, get some coffee and something sweet to eat and settle in for a nice read.

Wide selection of books and if books are not available they will place the order.

In this day and age of on line book buying and Internet access to everything, its really nice to walk into a book store with racks and racks of books to actually touch and feel and explore the old fashioned way. Its a huge store with zillions of choices not just of books but small gift ideas as well. They have a snack area to relax, read, and enjoy a hot/cold drink and pastry.

This is one off the last great bookstores in the area. The store is clean and has a varied selection of items, and one of the largest selection of magazines and periodicals. I dont do kindle so I think that area is a waste but each to his own. There is also a large area for kids and their books which is good. They need to read more. I wish this store was closer to home.

Enter B&Ns fascinating world of books and nooks and be transported beyond your wildest dreams, limited only by your imagination. You can spend hours here and still not see all they have to offer. Educators get a nice discount too, so be sure to ask for yours.

Without going to Tampa, this is the best bookstore in the area. They have an exhaustive selection of books and media in addition to lots of collectibles. The coffee shop is very, very good and the staff has always been very helpful. They keep it clean and organized. It’s a great place to hang out and kill time. This one is adjacent to Best Buy so that’s always a plus.

I need to change my rating of the store. I have lived here for a year and a half and during this time the bathrooms have never been clean and sanitary. Its a disgrace. I cant speak to the mens bathroom but my husband says they are fine.The food that is served in the B & N Cafe is going down hill. The cupcakes have been very dry and smaller over this time. They are always out of sandwiches from the menu. The quiche isnt as big as it was a year ago. They removed extra chairs throughout the store so the only seats are in the cafe which isnt kept as clean as it should be.This is my old review: This is a great B & N. They have a nice cafe with plenty of seats as well as scattered seating throughout the bookstore. Well stocked and the staff is friendly.
