My laptop went to a white screen and would not change. Turned it off and it would not start. Took it to what I thought was Laptops Plus and was surprised to discover Tech2u. I know enough about computers to understand what they were telling me. It need a much better drive. They installed a solid state drive and my Laptop works better than when it was new. Folks there are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them.

Had bought a dash cam which held a micro card,my computer wasnt reading it so i took my computer in.the guy went out of his way to help me figure out the issue i asked what do i owe you to where he replied nothing. I will definitely be using these guys for any computer issues in the future. They were honest and helpful hard to find in this day and age.

Gil tried his best to recover the data from my fried MacBook...although ultimately his efforts were in vain, he didnt charge me anything for the many hours of working on it. I understand now why my husband has been going to them for years! Im a loyal customer now...(Just hoping I dont need them again any time soon!)

Brought my gaming laptop in to have an issue diagnosed. The technician spent extra time on my laptop to determine the issue was a failure in the motherboard, which needed to be replaced. Unfortunately a replacement motherboard couldnt be found because its a custom unique part and will be difficult to track one down. He gave me the laptop back with helpful info from his diagnosis, some info to help me find the part, had spent all this extra time diagnosing my laptop, and the diagnosis was FREE.If I can locate the part, I will for sure be coming back here to have him install it. He was helpful, very honest, didnt try to upsell me stuff, and Id trust him with any computer issue.

I found this company on Yelp and had a few questions before dropping my laptop off. They were quick to respond and very professional. I had contacted a few and felt this one seemed the most experienced. Especially when one company told me my Apple needed windows 😵‍💫The appointment was easy to schedule and Gilbert had great customer service. He answered all my concerns and explained exactly what the process would be. When he called and told me I needed a new hard drive he didn’t try to sell me the most expensive one. They are honest, and told me exactly what needed to be replaced on my laptop, and that I actually still had a warranty that would fix it for free. They could have told me that it was unrepairable or that I needed to pay $XXX amount and that was the only way; but nope. They are honest people. I am an IT professional with no time to work on the more intricate issues that present in our laptops, like keyboard and screen replacements. So I always take them to Tech2U (Laptops Plus) and have for years. Tech2U techs are always excellent and the job they do is first class.

I came in today to see about fixing my cracked screen on my HP Envy x360. To fix tje entire screen, it would have been pricey so Gilbert was extremely helpful by disabling my touch screen so I can actually use it now. I was a walk in and he fixed the issue in like 30 seconds. He also fixed my husbands laptop a week or so ago and its running like a champ. Thank you so much! Went in for a diagnostic on my pc. I told the guy that it was most likely a PSU or MOBO issue, dude took one look at it, confidently said it was the cpu that was busted and I needed a new one. I said can you look at the other parts at least and he went buddy I have seen this a million times and sent me on my way. I have replaced the CPU on my own time, and no change in the issue. He spent less than 1 minute looking at the product and talked down to me instead of trying to help. Also no mask on..... meanwhile Trump has COVID

This company checked out my broken cell phone. Gilbert wrote a letter for my insurance company, but didnt put it on letterhead. When the insurance company called to verify the information they denied writing the letter. Evidently, they dont usually work on cell phones & Gilbert was afraid hed lose his job, so he lied. My insurance company accused me of fraud & canceled my homeowners & auto insurance policies. This has caused me a lot of grief. I will never go back there & I would never recommend them to anyone.

I took my monitor and mac over to laptops plus to get fixed and was very pleased with the professionalism as well as efficiency in service. As far as my monitor goes the maintenance department was able to assess my issue and knew exactly what it was after 2 minutes. I had asked other computer repair places and they said they would charge me whether they could fix it or not. As far as my computer goes, they ordered and fixed my computer with ease. I did not feel like they over charged me whatsoever and was very happy with the results. I would prefer to support a great local business and would recommend them to everyone in the future.

Brought my 5 year old Mac In It had viruses spyware and needed to be upgraded as it had never been upgraded due to loss of Apple ID and password. My printer didnt print after I tried to print from a secure website online. I tried to delete the file but the printer just kept saying deleting. I tried again and again for days! I finally unplugged and disconnected the printerI went on a 4 day trip, when I returned I reconnected it and it still didnt print!I tried to uninstall the printer and a bunch of other stuff, no success. So I called John at Laptops Plus in San Diego. I am in Fremont. I gave him access into the computer and he fixed it in a very short time. EXCELLENT. It now prints better than when I bought it 3 years ago...Thanks John!!

Laptops Plus-West on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard did a FANTASTIC JOB! on my laptop LCD screen that had broken. And they fixed it for an incredibly LOW LOW price. I just dropped it off and they called me back in a couple of hours and it was repaired. They are very friendly and they are conveniently located next to the freeway 163 entrance.

Came here after I called best buy to see how much and how long it would be to get my screen fixed on my laptop and they told me that it was gonna take up to 2 weeks and that they dont do any repairs at the store that they have to send it out, and the cost would be 250-300 bucks. I can buy a new one for that. So I came to laptops plus and Mike was very helpful. He looked it over and said he would call me and tell me if I would need a new screen. Next morning he did and was done fixing within an hour of calling me. Great prices and will to help you out. If I need anything else done ill be going back.

Gil is the best. hes so honest, true, and decent. he gets it done to his standards which are high. let him have extra time, the price will probably reduce, although, i dont know that for a fact. i just trust the guy.

I went into Laptops Plus in Santee.I told the guy I dont have a broken computer currently but I may need his services in the future.I asked him what his rates were.In turn he snapped back at me and said $85.00 an hour. When I appeared surprised at his rate. My reaction obviously hurt his feelings because he looked at me and said in a very snotty tone and said.You wont find a lower rate around here than this take it or leave it.So I turned around and walked out the door.A door I should have never gone in. And I advise this to every body reading this ....else unless you need a tech with a bad attitude working on your computers.This is a true story

They know what they are doing. Used to go there all the time to replace the cord on my old laptop. Phone call about external hard drives and they gave me everything I wanted to know and referred me to another store as they didnt have it in stock.Laptops Plus is my go-to store for computer issues.

The Kearney Mesa store installed Win 7 and did not advise nature or usage of backup which appeared as a folder on desktop. They also did not install any of the current updates, so the first thing I had to do was wait for it to install 78 updates, rebooting six times. I was unable to restore from the backup folder.So I went to the Santee store where the man said I was doing it wrong. When I said that perhaps the guys in Kearney Mesa should have told me that he said that We expect users to know how to use the computer. I told him I thought that was a rather rude statement to make to a customer and he blew me off while he was opening and starting the computer, and he compounded the insult by saying, Just enter your password and Ill show you how to use your computer.I told him I didnt want him to show me anything, closed my computer and left the store. I will never bring a computer to this snake pit again

Our 2009 iMac went down with a bad hard drive we tool it to Jonathan and he said not to put money into it because it was shot. He said the info and pictures should be able to be retrieved so I picked it up and went to Apple and purchased a new iMac, Apple tried to move the data but said the drive was to bad. I called Jonathan from the mall told him the story and he said bring it back to him with a new external hard drive. We drop it off explaining that the most important thing was the photos,lots of photos-20,000 of them. It took him a week and a couple of different software programs but he did it. Jonathan worked hard and when I would call he would tell me just be patient that is was going slow. He saved every photo plus all the documents and never charge a penny more then the quote he gave me. Laptops Plus has my business for life, they saved the day for us and yes we now back up everything.

My Dell laptop was the victim of a trojan. This attack occurred on a Sunday night, and I took it in to Laptops Plus on Monday morning. They immediately knew the problem and told me that it would take a couple days to fix. I agreed to pay extra for their express service, and by Monday afternoon, they called me with a diagnosis and ETA. I had about 90 viruses on my laptop, and some were difficult to remove, so it took a little longer to clean than initially thought, but I still got my laptop back by Friday morning. Because of the delay, they waived the fee for the express service.Nacho was the main technician servicing my laptop. He seemed very knowledgeable and was very good about keeping me apprised about the status of my laptop throughout the week. Even after I received my laptop back and their services were technically completed, Nacho still graciously assisted me (gratis) when I called or went back to the office for questions about this or that with my laptop.I will be referring as much business as I can to Laptops Plus, and I highly recommend Laptops Plus for your computer repair needs!!!!

My experience here was sooo good. I had cracked my macbook pro glass and I was searching around for places that do it. I had bought a glass screen and tried to do it myself but eventually decided that I couldnt. This place not only installed the screen I bought, they did it in a couple hours and for a ridiculously good price. I left the kid a tip because I was so stoked. While i can see how some people might not be too thrilled with the no nonsense customer service, I still wouldnt recommend going anywhere else for macbook problems.

Ive been a long time Laptops Plus customer! This time I came in with a wet laptop and they managed to recover the data from the hard drive for a very reasonable price and even texted me when it was ready.
