Not sure many people look forward to having to take their vehicle into Mechanic. Myself being one of those, SR Transmission made my situation easy and stress free. They were professional throughout, communicative, and I appreciated the communication tools that allowed me to review the suggestions and approve or deny. I felt informed and cared for. I would gladly use them again in the future and recommend to anyone to give them consideration.

I brought my car in to have them perform a diagnostic test on my transmission that my mechanic could not do. In addition to recommending the transmission be replaced they recommended a bunch of other stuff be replaced on the car that my mechanic did not recommend when I brought my car in for service a couple hours earlier that day. When I told them to just replace the transmission they said the total cost would be $5200 and they would send a confirmation email. When I got the email it said $8200. They explained the additional money was for extra stuff and assured me that if just the transmission was replaced the bottom line would be $5200 with no more surprises. When I came to pick up the car, surprise, it cost me just over $5300.

The counter people were great, answered my questions, explained their services well and check in/out went great. Also liked their email service about rhe vehicle and the display of their prices. I have two complaints: one the left the replaced windshield wiper in the bed of my truck, didnt understand why they did no discard it. And two, they did not lock my hood, which I noticed was a bit up, so I closed it shut. Just some safety issues that should have been resolved before I left. Would have given more stars if safety of customer was better.

Professional staff. Very nice and polite. The guy ( which Unfortunately I forgot his name ) was so nice. He even spent a lot of time to tell me where I can spend my time while they were fixing my car ( as soon as he noticed that I am not familiar to the area)Great service.

Called and asked how much it would be to inspect the cooling system as I was having overheating issues. I was told $150, fine. Its been a while since Ive been in the shop and things have gone up from the original $60 something price. After the $150 inspection Im told they need to do a Hydrocarbons test to make sure the head gasket isnt blown. $85, fine, I mentioned that was a concern of mine. Test comes back fine now I need to pay $135 to inspect the cooling system. WHAT? The $150 didnt cover that? No, the $150 only covered poking around, driving it and visually identifying there was a leak, as I had mentioned when I came in. Irritated about the inspection fees, but then Im told its another $1,200 to fix the car. Apparently the thermostat and coolant housing gasket was bust. I asked if he could just fix the coolant outlet since Im just needing this car for the next few months and the heater isnt a concern but no no no, it has to be done together, its basically the same job. My fiancé ends up calling his guy that usually only works on Toyotas (20 + years working on cars) and he sees Im upset and offers to help me out. Watches a quick video to make sure he can work on my Ford and next thing you know Im out $350 and the car is running like a champ. Blasting hot air and he didnt even replace the thermostat. He had to replace one or two parts max on the coolant housing gasket.I understand that the price of operating in Sonoma County must be through the roof. I understand prices have changed since I started coming some 8 odd years ago. But this business seems to have lost some of its transparency with the price increase. As someone who has used this shop quite a bit, there was no budging on the ridiculous inspection cost and I feel like I was lied to regarding the thermostat. I took it to this shop first because I trusted this business and knew I would get a good answer. I left paying damn near $400 for inspections and so thankful that I had a different mechanic to take it to.

I took my daughters car in for transmission servicing and it was a great experience! They were friendly and professional. They quoted me a time that it would be done and were on schedule. They also checked the rest of the systems and made recommendations, but didnt try to pressure me into getting them done. I will definately use them again, when MY car needs servicing. :)

I have confidence taking my car to SRT and know that they are going to give me straight answers and I can trust their knowledge. Their communication emails are so helpful and provides pictures detailing any recommendations. You can approve repairs online, and know the cost up front. I highly recommend!

Very polite on phone and in person. But follow-up needs to improve. Didn’t tell me my brake fluid needed to be replaced or battery cleaned. Still waiting to hear back on why my SRS light is on now and wasn’t before I took my car there.

Definitely has a good energy, Damon was a great help considering what a fiasco the whole thing was! They weren’t able to fix my car, and i ended up having to take it to the manufacturer but they overall were a great service spot! Very upfront, and real about the issues. And I got a cool sweater too!

They keep me updated about timeframe, cost, etc. I would absolutely recommend Santa Rosa Transmission for all auto repairs! They take care of everything and are great to work with!

All of the staff and service technicians were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Their online service confirmation system is really nice to use, and they provided a lot of customer support and were able to answer any questions I had. All details of the work my car needed were well explained and documented in their online system so I could approve them as needed. And despite the fact the my car needed a lot of repairs at the time they did exactly what I asked of them without pushing for extra fixes. Very satisfied with the customer service and support this auto shop provides. I would highly recommend to anyone in the Santa Rosa area.

I had very high expectations for SRT Car Care and they exceeded every single one! I spoke to Damon at the front desk when I first arrived and despite being New Year’s Eve, he seemed happy to be working. I had initially brought my Jeep in to diagnose a battery light that had persisted even after replacing the old battery. I received a text message that provided an interactive link to the repair page. Listed there are notes between myself and the SRT crew and the detailed service process. I received steady updates on the progress and pictures were taken of the issues that were found. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and I strongly feel that it was money well spent for quality work. Thanks SRT CAR CARE! ❤️

We went back yet again for another huge service, keeping this truck running through 140k+ (last time we had it in we were hovering around 100k and hadnt touched it since 85k. That makes up 2 essential services in a 60k mile period which seems like a bargain for something that will last another decade. Thanks to the team there for great customer service and fantastic communication, especially during COVID times. We will be back again in another 30-60k miles!

Fair, honest, quick and pleasant service. This was my first visit but won’t be my last!! I’m new to this area and I’ve fortunately found great mechanic(s) and a reliable and competent shop.

Santa Rosa Transmission took care of my old Suburban. They diagnosed the issues and promptly repaired them. They kept me updated electronically every step of the way. Damon was great!!!

Went in there letting them know I need a new alternator and instead i got a 4 and a half hour inspection telling me i need a new alternator. Now my battery is resting at 11.8 since they spent that long drawing power from it. Went down the street and got quoted 400 flat for parts and labor. Figure it out.

Excellent 👍 did everything I needed (that the other shops declined to do, $6500 worth of work). Prices are excellent and the text system they use I really liked. Highly recommend them! Will be taking all my gas and diesel vehicles to them. -Shane K.

Insane prices, deceptive communication, rude and disrespectful when asked about their pricing and the reasons for it. They wanted around $600 dollars to replace the main belt on an Import! Took it down the street to another shop and they did it in 15 minutes for $110. Years later now Im still running great with no issues. This shop was trying to price gouge a person who they thought didnt know anything about vehicles. Go ANYWHERE else.

You will have no idea what you are paying for. They have no posted hourly rate and when I asked they said they dont have one. An $800 repair today took 4 hours with a $100 were the parts. More expensive than going to the dealer. The only shop Ive ever been to the doesnt have an hourly rate of service. They will charge you whatever they feel like. Disappointing experience for sure.

$124 for a mandatory inspection which did not cover the reason for my bringing in the vehicle. Once that inspection completed now I get a price For the inspection I actually Ask for and needed. Wow, what a privilege!Funny thing is months earlier I didnt need a mandatory inspection to get my vehicle worked on.Yep, bait and switch. Regardless of their justification. It is nothing more than a rip-off. Doing the 10 friends thing now. Caveat emptor!

Friendly staff and very responsive. They did a thorough check of my truck and use a nice app for summarizing the issues they found both by type and severity. However, their quoted price for the repairs was outlandish! They wanted $1700 to change the bearing on the front of my Tacoma. Even the dealership didn’t want that much. Over $800 in parts and over $800 in labor- I had the dealership quote the parts and at that cost it would be replacing everything including hubs on both sides, with all factory parts! Doing that would be 2 hour of work TOPS. These guys obviously don’t expect their customers to shop around or do their homework....

Sam was very friendly and courteous and gave me the estimate prior to starting work on the car. The service was quick and he didnt try to fix anything additional that didnt need fixing. He made a recommendation for the next service time and suggested few things. Overall, an awesome experience and will definitely recommend it to others.

Everyone at SRT is wonderful. As strange as it may sound I look forward to going in and seeing everyone whenever I have an oil change or a tune up. They are fair, they have fantastic quality, and they do it because they love it and not to just make money. Im very thankful for all they do and for the fantastic service they provide!

Took my sons car for transmission work. They got it fixed but its leaking engine oil by the crankshaft seal. They did tell us about the problem but we decided not to have the seal replaced. They said it would be another 500$. The reason why I give this place 1 star is, it took me a while to find the right place where I can trust someone with my car and not get taking advantage of. So the job was 4000$ for a new transmission that came with the same used up seal. The transmission was already removed and basically to replace the bad seal would cost me an extra $500. Thats an expensive seal and I know the seal was not that much the thing here is they wanted to charge me an extra $500 as if they were starting from scratch, all they had to do is grab a seal and replace it. The transmission was already out, easy access to the seal and yet they wanted to charge me so much. I would of easily paid and extra $100 but $500 thats crazy. U know to refer someone to a good place you have to be able to be comfortable and satisfied with the job. Im sorry but unless they can explain the highly priced Seal job I do not recommend this place and will give my opinion about this place if asked.

Took my 2005 honda Accord in for some repairs. Part of which was an alignment. Got the car back and it pulls hard to the left. Took the specs to another shop and was told my crossmember needs adjusted. But that was never disclosed to me by SRT. Over charged for something that was never done properly. I called to speak with them about this and was told I would receive a call back, never happened. I will never take my car back to SRT. They charge for things that dont get done

Shelby and Damien are the absolutely the best my 06 Dodge went in for the transmission, it had to be rebuilt. I had bought a warrenty with the truck and at first the warrenty company said they would not cover it for some BS reason and Damien totally went to bat for me and got them to pay for half of it. I took my truck here for a Transmission Fluid Change the price was fair, it really did make a difference in how smooth the truck shifts. I use it hard so its well worth it. they also made other recommendations that the mechanic noticed too which was helpful.

I was greeted by the owner, who gave me a lift to my business appointment, and picked me up after the work was done. He was thorough and checked everything, even tho it was a simple oil change. We discussed an upcoming timing belt replacement, and he quoted me a price over $1000 less than the dealer quoted! I know several customers of Santa Rosa Transmission, who all love the service. So do I!

Ive had a number of fantastic experiences with SRT&CC. They even demonstrated extreme patience in dealing with an incompetent warranty company. Theyve fixed three of my vehicles, including diagnosing and rebuilding control components for a transmission that had stumped two other shops with 5 star reviews on Yelp and over three decades of experience. While other shops were saying they needed to take apart the transmission to figure out what was going on, SRT&CC tried fixing multiple other, electrical issues, and ended up saving me thousands of dollars.Theyre my go-to shop for everything now.

Simply put, Santa Rosa Transmission is the most professional yet friendly and honest shop around. Sam and the other technicians are incredibly knowledgeable with almost any type of auto repair, not just transmissions. Dont get more than your trans oil changed here.They will pull your trans to go over it when all they needed to do is remove the oil pan to fix it. watch out.
