First time here was a few days ago. Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The shop is amazing, four roll-up doors and 11 lifts, all immaculate, and a parking lot full of cars that any BMW person will enjoy looking at. We have three BMWs in the house and were very happy to have found our new service garage. Our next service visit is scheduled for today.

North Bay Bavarian is an incredible shop. I do a lot of work on my own cars, but when I dont have time or desire to do a specific job (or its beyond my abilities), I bring my BMW and Mini here. Their team is incredible - They take the time to explain your options and their recommendations, and they dont try to oversell you on things that you dont need. Theyre prompt and stick to their timelines. I feel like they are a good value for the money. I have zero reason to even think about going anywhere else - thats about the best recommendation I can give!

Today was our second time here. They were highly recommended from another shop. Super friendly staff that is honest and helpful! We had a couple of warning/reminder lights that came on. They took at look, confirmed that we recently changed the oil (mileage wise) and reset the warning lights while topping the fluids to ensure all is working well. No charge, just smiles and wishing me well. I was in/out in 20 minutes. That guaranteed us as a return customer.

If you own a bmw new or old and you have it serviced anywhere else you are doing yourself a disservice. They guys at north bay Bavarian have consistently showed me what it means to be an honest and reliable shop. I have a 1988 BMW and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the constant list of mechanical needs. I’m all about supporting small local businesses and these guys are exactly why. James and Matt walked me through every step of the way and got me out the door 700$ under my budget, where else do you get that kind of honesty? I can’t recommend North Bay Bavarian enough, they certainly will have my business as long as I own a BMW/Mini.

My vehicle has only been out of warranty a little more than a year, so I had been asking friends and reading reviews about BMW repair shops that would do a good job for a fair price. The name that kept coming up was North Bay Bavarian. I had my first service there a year ago, and was amazed at the quality of work, and how comfortable they made me feel...even before I took my car in. I talked to James Row on the phone and mentioned several of my friends who have had cars serviced at North Bay Bavarian. James remembers them all, and has a personal story about each one.Every time Ive called for an appointment, theyve made arrangements to get me in quickly and work around my schedule. If I tell them I need to wait for my vehicle, they start the service shortly after I arrive and finish in an acceptable time. They are also willing to chat with me in the waiting room while I wait for the service to be completed. It was like hanging out with old friends. Even though I hadnt been there in several months, it was like our conversation simply picked up where we left off at my last visit. And what other auto repair shop has Kombucha on tap in the waiting room?!Visits to North Bay Bavarian are always pleasant, and reasonably priced.Recommended

This is s quality business where you are treated respectfully and provided full explanations for the services/repairs provided.Their pricing may be higher than some BMW service providers in the community, but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for and in this case their customer friendly/quality approach is an added bonus. They have provided me with quality maintenance and upgrades for my M3.More recently, they inspected my M3 just before the holidays for a sudden onset problem and did so in a welcoming fashion. My only regret, is that I did not, at that time, show a comparable appreciation for their efforts. This has prompted this well deserved appreciative acknowledgment!

As someone who has loved, raced, owned, traded in BMWs for decades. As someone who even owned a BMW repair facility myself; Im can confidently recommend North Bay Bavarian. They have a well rounded staff, with a wealth of knowledge and experience. They will never tell you your car needs something it doesnt, just to make a buck. They stand behind their work. As a family business, theres a continuity, that cant be found in other shops the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. Modern high line automobiles can be very humbling, its important to specialize, have the right equipment, training and experience to diagnose, without simply throwing parts at the car in an effort to effect repairs. Getting it right the first time saves time and money.North Bay handles my own race car, classic BMW and many cars for re-sale. I know the best eyes have assessed the vehicle, so I can feel good about condition. In every context, in every market, there is the best. When it comes to the authority on BMW (and MINI) in Californias North Bay...you found it.

In 2005, I was considering purchasing a 2001 325i BMW from a third party. A good friend of mine suggested I take the BMW to Rick Row at North Bay Bavarian and have them do an inspection before purchasing the car. Based on their inspection, I purchased the car.I’ve taken my 2001 BMW to North Bay Bavarian ever since for regular maintenance, and with 305,000 miles, it’s still going strong. The staff is always very professional and friendly. Pretty Good...they took care of my older model BMW and clearly know what they are doing. Still, they forgot to reset my Maintenance Reminder and attend to one of the minor problems I had pointed out to them--too busy with the other stuff? They also can provide a loaner vehicle with adequate pre-planning.

Do not come here,he will run up a bill and then steal your car. If I could give them less than zero, I would. My young son took the car that I bought for him to drive to this mechanic, telling him that he wanted him to discover the cause of what seemed to be an oil leak.My son told me the mechanic quoted $800.The mechanic had the 2002 BMW X5 for several days.He was finally told it was ready. He went to pick up the car, and the mechanic racked up a bill for over $5,000 for a car I only paid $4,600 for in February, and which has a Kelley BB value of even less than that.I spent $2,300 to have something done to it in Lakeport 60 days after I bought it,so I wouldnt have thought this guy in Santa Rosa could drum up so much business for himself.Further, I had the car looked at by a mechanic at Tire Pros before I bought it from the private party(this was the first I ever bought from a private party, and also the last). My son was confused, angry, embarrassed and sad when he called me from the mechanic shop.He knew how much I had already spent on the car, knew its value, and told me he never authorized the repairs. He also knew how hard Ive worked, since I was 14,working two jobs most of the years I raised my kids.My son handed the phone to me,I asked the mechanic what dollar amount my son had signed the estimate for,and the mechanic said $300.How,I asked, could my son have signed for $300 worth of work and the guy be presenting us with a bill for over $5,000,and without ever calling me,the title holder, to get authorization?I told the guy that was absolutely out of the question, that I wasnt paying it,that I was tired of throwing good money after bad,and I was already out $6,900, my son doesnt have a car to drive, and we are near the area where there were evacuations from wildfires all summer long.I rented a UHaul pickup for him until we could figure out what was going on,because I wanted him to be able to evacuate.I asked the mechanic how much he was out for parts, and he told me $2,000. I told him I would pay the $2,000, plus the $300 that my son signed for, because Im a fair person and I didnt want to cause anyone to suffer a loss. He said he had called my son, and that my son said to go ahead. Go ahead and what? My son would have NEVER authorized a $5,000 repair on a 16 year old car with a Blue Book value of $4,000. The mechanic I guess thought I was a moron, because he said, its worth more than that, you could pay me and sell it, or keep it for a long time. I told him either he could give me $2,500 and Id sign over the title, or that I would pay him the $2,300 which most people wouldnt have offered to do. I had been out of town and busy for a few weeks, but today I went to my personal mail box,(and I should add that the mechanic has not tried to contact me to try making any agreement,or to warn me that he was planning such a devious and sleazy move.He has my phone number,a sane person would have called me.He also had the notice sent to my personal mail box, it was signed for by the woman who owns the post boxes, and NOT by me, so I was never properly notified, and I WILL be contacting an attorney, which I probably should have done in the first place).I discovered the sleazy mechanic had filed a lien on my car, and sought permission from the DMV(not from me,so now I feel like a chump that I ever cared about him losing money because he obviously cares about no one except himself)to sell it to pay for his sleazy, unauthorized repairs. I called him crying after he pulled his stunt,I told him my son needed a car to be able to evacuate, I offer to pay him for what he actually spent (unless he was lying, which wouldnt surprise me),I told him Im a working person, and I dont have money to waste. In case you wondered,I pay for my sons expenses because he suffers anxiety and emotional issues that prevent him keeping a job. This should have been obvious to the mechanic. The mechanic asked why I didnt call him about it.BECAUSE YOURE SUPPOSED TO CALL THE OWNER BEFORE DOING $5,000 IN REPAIRS ON A $4,000 CAR.

I recently moved to Sonoma County after years down in the Bay Area where we have many BMW repair options. I have had a 1987 E30 325IS for years that I still drive for fun and work on in my spare time. The car is getting old and quality parts and reliable service is hard to find. Many shops Ive dealt with resent DIYers but the team at North Bay Bavarian love the cars they support and have awesome customer service and are always helpful. I will use them for everything BMW in the future and while I dont need major or heavy mechanical work today (theyll change my clutch, machining work, etc.) the way they treat me as a parts-only customer is superb. I highly recommend North Bay Bavarian.Update 10/17/17Theyre still here after the Tubbs Fire, and were all lucky for that. The folks at North Bay Bavarian continue to raise the bar for me. They have worked on my E30, my recent E36 and my new model F30. Their crew is amazing and I hate to admit, but I rely on the technical expertise and emotional support going through these projects as much as I do the access to their vast parts inventory and expertise. They recently did some welding, wheel bearings and clutch work for me. The job was spectacularly well done and I noticed that some old bolts that werent a part of the job assigned were replaced. Totally floored me.Rick Row, owner and lead mechanic of North Bay Bavarian humbly said, Thats what we do, just do it the right way.If you value your car: take it here.If you value your pocket book: take your car here.If you value putting money into a good, local business do it and avoid the dealer.

North Bay Bavarian is a great repair shop. They are honest and more then fair on charges. They dont push you for unecessary repairs . I recenly lost a key to my Beemer, i broutght the car in without an appointment, they immediatly attended to my car to disabled the lost key. In the meanwhile i received some good advise as to future service and the best part of all they didnt charge me for the service. That is almost unheard of in the automotive world . I can gaurentee you the dealership would not have done this .I am and will be a faithful customer.I have the advantage of having over 15 years as an automotive technician and though my current carreer doesnt alow me the time to work on my own vehicles i know without a doubt this is a lagitimate and honest shop just by experience. They give loaner cars to at no charge .There is no long and drawn out process to get a loaner filling out paperwork etc. Just schedule it and get it . You cant go wrong dealing with NB Bavarian. The dealerships wants people to think they are the only ones capable of correctly working on there cars. Its not true ! If its original parts you want installed in your car NorthBay Bavarian is just as capable and even more so to give a better quality service then the dealer all the while using original parts at a more then fair price .! They also have no problem honeslty explaining to you any issues with your car or the service performed. I called the dealership near by just for a quote one time on a specific service. The woman in servce informed me that the vehicle had to be diagnosed first for a cost of 172.00 dollars. I told her i diidnt want or need a diagnosis it was just time for a service. She insisted this had to be done before working on it. Again with my experience this was not true and ended the call right there. Enough said, take your beemer to them you will be takin care of !
