Had my truck transmission service done here. Reasonably priced, and was finished on time. Only down side is theres hardly any parking and very busy streets. Didnt like that my truck was parked partuallt on a busy street and partially on the sidewalk when the service was complete.

I was recently referred to this shop by a friend. I had a few questions about a leak on my wifes Dodge Caravan. I didnt get his name, but the gentleman who answered was extremely helpful. I was planning on doing the leak repair myself and he answered all my questions. He even made a few suggestions as to how to make the repair and achieve the best results. I followed his advice and the repair is perfect. No more leak and boy am I happy bout that. Now this is a real transmission shop. It reminds me of shops from San Francisco where I grew up. They work on all kinds of transmissions, and if they dont have what you need they will find it for you. I needed to borrow a tool, and I was told Steve was the man to talk to. He did find the tool its only a little plunger tool to align your clutch in the center of the flywheel, and pressure plate so your transslips in less chances of wrecking your new clutch.He found the tool no charge I did leave him a copy of my drivers license so if I didn’t come back he would remember me. I took it home it took me about an hour to do my job, and i returned it.As far as good people you can trust. they are a small shop and parking is little but these guys will make sure if you bring it in. I have had one of the best automotive repair experiences, working with Santa Rosa Hydramatic. I have an older Saturn and most folks would probably tell me that fixing it is not worth the money, but at Santa Rosa Hydramatic, they performed the full diagnostic and gave me the straight info so I could make the decision. I wanted to take a moment to let everyone in Santa Rosa know how happy I was to have found Santa Rosa Hydramatic when I recently had some problems with my Ford Explorer. I had been having trouble putting the truck in reverse and after taking it to some other transmission shops in Santa Rosa who told me Id probably need a new transmission, Steve did some really thorough diagnostics and found that the actual problem was a rather inexpensive one to fix and I was back on the road in no time. I can not recommend this transmission shop highly enough.

If you have any kind of issue with your transmission, this is the place to go. They will not steer you wrong. They helped us and saved us HUNDREDS of dollars the first time we went and literally THOUSANDS when we had another problem. If you want the straight skinny, go other places first if you must, but then go here for the real deal.

When you own a car thats 56 years old, you find it harder to locate someone who knows what and how to fix and have it done right the first time. This company was a good find. Although my car was in one of the work bays for over seven weeks, after all parts were located, things went smoothly. I was shown what was wrong with my transmission, finding out that the work done years ago by another shop was wrong, and not fixed properly. My transmission runs great now, with no problems. I was also asked to return in a few months so that it can be checked out. I also found that a dozen donuts will help with better treatment! Thank you Santa Rosa Hydramatic.

I broke down near Santa Rosa Hydra-Matic on a Sunday. I was out of town for a Dr. visit and didnt know what to do or even what shop to have my rig towed to. Steve and his family happen to be cleaning the building for upcoming painters. He gave me a fuel filter and I installed it on my truck. That didnt fix the problem, so he figured it was the fuel pump. He was right. Steve arranged to have one of his mechanics come in and perform the labor on Sunday night. He also tracked down a fuel pump late Sunday afternoon, and even drove across Santa Rosa to pick it up. We pushed my truck into his shop off the street and his mechanic went to work. Then he loaned me a rig to take to the motel. Monday morning at 8:00 am he called me and my truck was fixed, and I was able to make all my appointments. The charge was also fair, especially considering the immediate response on a Sunday. I couldnt believe it. If you break down in Santa Rosa, call Hydra-Matic.

Cant find a better shop North of the bay. I encountered a transmission problem on a return trip from Texas, and called Steve from Tucson on a Sunday night anticipating a Monday response. Five minutes later he called back and talked me through my problem. Ive had two Jaguars serviced by SRH, and both times were a pleasure. I recommend this shop, highly.

I stopped by this Santa Rosa Transmission shop to have my car serviced and could not believe the service I recieved by the staff of Santa Rosa Hydramatic! I felt very confident I was being treated fairly and honestly. THere is little doubt in my mind that I will be bringing my car back time and time again!

Finding myself with an empty nest I decided to keep one of the two Chrysler LeBaron convertable that my daughters had used for school.When I needed the transmission repaired a friend recommended Steve. Two years of flawless shifting later I am having them service the filter and look it over. They did mt Bravada last year, the same fine work.Im not ready to have my car reporting to a satellite. Im going to keep the old ones rolling and SRH is a key part of that strategy.

Called in a few days in advance about my subaru wrx and they told me they couldnt do it that day but Friday would be fine well today is Friday my wife and I went to the shop to get a diagnosis on what was causing the problem after waiting for over 20 minutes to get seen no one seemed to be able to tell me who I spoke to or when they could check my car thats after they helped a few people in front of me very rarely am i completely disgusted with service but this was one of those times i work hard for my money like everyone else and I dont feel like I should be denied service because of my race but that seems to be a common problem with most mechanic shops in Santa rosa if your a minority bring a Caucasian friend and have them do the talking and youll probably be helped
