Great supermarket you literally can find anything from herbal teas,body healing pomades, deli delights, fresh corn and flour tortillas,chicharrones,butchered meat,a quick bite since they have a food kitchen on site that carries menudo, tacos, etc.Service could be more pleasant if staff was more friendly to clients without being biased against clientele ethnicity.Visited with mother in law and we had a unpleasant incident with one of the clerks. Issue was resolved.We accept the sincerity of apologies given by Business Owner and Employees and we will continue to support your business.As weve done so for the past (20+ years).❤👍✌

This place is great they have delicious food i love their fresh tortillas the burritos are best, although the some of the cashiers have a really unprofessional attitude i went one afternoon to get salsa and some lady that assist me as she check me out was being super rude yelling at everyone that was in line telling them to get in a straight line she was super impatient as well and made me feel uncomfortable.

Great products. Especially good are the tostadas, beef jerky, tamales, red chile salsas (seriously hot), fresh chicharrones, and its fun to explore Mexican products.

Very good pastry. Walked out with a cherry empanada. They even have pumkin and pineapple just too mention a few others .

My husband fully declares that the El Paisano has the best Menudo in Santa Fe. I believe its because its always made fresh! Its nice to make a visit when you arent in a hurry, because you gotta look around!!! While I was browsing i smiled, inwardly. One of the staff in the meat shop was singing quietly, and another one joined in, i looked over and caught the friendly camaraderie of friends at work. It was heartwarming and delightful! Whats important to me, about the store is they have An INCREDIBLE and varied choice of dried herbs. Any nurse or holistic healer, or a serious cook, should know about this resource!!!

I live in Southern Colorado and make a point to stop in whenever I am in Santa Fe. This is the BEST place to stock up on essential Mexican food items that arent readily available where I live, including piloncillo, dried chiles, misc. spices, fun Mexican candies, and more. All at very affordable prices, unlike the high end specialty spice stores closer to downtown. This market is the real deal!

Horrible service....wont be going back. Went for lunch we just moved here and they told us its a good place. Tried to order with a lady that was there gossiping at the food section. She told us to order at the register, we went ordered and paid sat for 20 minutes waiting for our order while the cooks and girls at the register just stood there and gossiped more. Finally a customer asked us if we had ordered food we told her yes she said did u give the cooks your order. I dont understand why so much bull**** just to get a simple order of tacos. So I just demanded my money back and wont be going back again not worth my time.

I love this place. They have cuts of meat you cant get elsewhere. I was a big fan of their discada, adobada de puerco, and lomo ahumado (smoked pork chops). They also had some other meats. Also check out their lunch counter. The have some genuine tacos that will stack up against anything else you can get in town. I have even purchased clothes here. Highly recommended.

Employee at food station seemed unhappy with work. Older employee at register wasnt very helpful with checkout. We wanted authentic Mexican tacos but these were bland.

Amazing chips (as others have reported), same with the homemade Tortillas. The Carnitas were amazing as is the Pick de gallo. Great market for finding authentic chili for making Mole. Recommended by Chef Olea who is the Mole master.
