Love this shop so much! Went with my family and enjoyed the incredible selection of katschinas and jewelry. Each person working helped identify the different works, and each piece, being made by a contemporary artist, comes with the artists story that they keep on file which they include with the piece you are drawn to.Many thanks, my family loves the pieces and we will be back.
Love the Santa Fe location and it’s staff. My wife and I make it a point to visit Holly every time we are back home in NM for a vacation. She is a wealth of information on the artists and pieces in the gallery, if you’re curious and care to listen.
Lovely store! Worth checking out - they have a lovely selection. Very happy with my purchase.
Great lil place. Very knowledgeable and I bought 3 pieces of jewelry
I love this shop so much, I went back twice on a week long trip! I got SO many fetishes, and I learned a lot. The woman working there (Holly, I think?) had some great stories, and she knew some of my favorite carvers personally (and helped me learn to say their names properly). I also bought a piece of jewelry here (fab Robert Sorrell praying mantis). This place will definitely be high on my must-return list next time I’m in Santa Fe!
Mark is knowledgeable and patient, plus he has fantastic artist pieces at reasonable prices!
Enjoyed this shop, large selection, knowledgeable, would recommend and visit again.
The young Zuni woman in the Santa Fe store who was the only salesperson there the day I stopped by was one of the most sour and unpleasant people Ive ever met. She has a real chip on her shoulder, and does not belong representing the store in the front. A pity, because there are some nice items to choose from. But I purposely did NOT buy because she was so unpleasant. And in a town with plenty to choose from I suggest the owner wake up and put someone else in her place...Ive bought from their web site in the past and now I live here, but after the way I was treated never again!
Very nice selection of authentic items - not mass produced junk in a majority of the other shops. My husband was looking to buy a high-quality kachina doll. This place came highly recommended by Andrea Fisher Fine Pottery shop. My husband did purchase a kachina doll after perusing and conferring for about 30 min 1 on 1 with the associate. You get a explanation of the meaning of the piece and the artists bio with your item.
Sad to hear that people have had a bad experience here. My two transactions at the store were immensely educational. The shopkeepers were patient with me and taught me so much about the traditional Hopi kachinas they sell, and the artists who created them. I was able to view dozens of figures before I settled on my purchases, and we spoke at length about each piece.
Saleswoman had a bad attitude not letting me try on bracelet, telling me which bracelets would fit me without letting me try them on. Tourists tried to placate her. Hit and Miss experience with staff. Store is pretty good though.
