House was closed yesterday morning, even though their website said it was supposed to open at 9am. We arrived around 10am and hung around until 10:30. No one ever showed up to open the doors. Other people were waiting to get in too. We took photos outside, which was fun. I was looking forward to seeing the inside too.
Tourist trap with a grumpy clerk selling baubles. Just look at the outside. They have a few effects laid out in the house like a coffee table with fake grapes, fake wheel of cheese suggesting thats what people ate in 1700. To top that off they decided a coffin with a glass top that revealed a mummy like figure made from wire and plaster. Its all just so fake.
A really nice selection of items - some higher end and some souvenirs. Owner very knowledgeable about Santa Fe and willing to share.
Interesting site, very friendly owner salesperson, high quality merchandise, free and lots of information of historical nature! And free parking if youre visiting ‼️ this is particularly advantageous as its right across the street from the oldest church in America.
Loved how cute the building is. All the history everyone needs to make sure they check it out
Glad we stopped and saw a little history. Its very small and only a few people can go in at a time. Well stocked gift shop.
Really cool to see the oldest house. Great to have part of it preserved.
Great shop! Its mostly store with a small two-rooms worth of oldest building on it, but its authentic and free. The shopkeeper is great to talk to as well!
They claim to be the oldest house, but not to much remains to show or to see.
Very nice place to see. Interesting & definitely a cool place to stop.
Nice gift shop. Historically interesting.
Interesting, enjoyed the visit.
