Just a little background information I have been doing business with Efren for my business for a couple years now. In the beginning Efren Aguilar was professional and took care of jobs although his prices were never the cheapest. In the last year service and attitude has completely changed. There was an instance when I hired him to do a job and he quoted me and we agreed. He came and completed the job and I left my warehouse manager a check to pay after completion. When I got back to the office the next day I realized he over charged me $70.00 which I was upset about but he Efren told me he would credit me on my next PM service (He never honored this to this day..) Fast forward to last month we had to have our starter motor changed and I hired Efren to get the job done hoping that we could get my credit for the overcharged job. It took him a couple weeks to finally make time to come do the job which was fine we understand that people can be busy and forklifts break unexpectedly I am sure for all his customers. He got the starter replaced and about a week later we had another issue with a hose leaking. My warehouse manager noticed that the starter motor was acting up again, when Mario his tech stopped by my warehouse to replace the leaking hose he automatically told me and my manager that the starter they installed was no good and that it was under warranty. Mario said he will get a new starter and return Tuesday (today) to do get that replaced. Welp I call Efren today to see if he can get the job done and he tells me because the starter technically still starts the lift even though it is faulty the manufacturer will not replace it. I call around to local lift services and they say 100% that the man. will warranty the starter given our issue. I tried to tell Efren since he does not want to do the work anymore if he can just drop off the new part or if he can tell me where he got it so I can go myself just to get a new starter and pay another service to reinstall it. Efren was very rude and I posted pics of the text convo of how he accused me and disrespected me. I advise that anyone doing business with him make sure to check invoices and make sure charges are adequate and not different every time. Also please call around and get a second opinion on price before pulling the trigger with him. He says if we want the starter fixed we will have to pay for a new one on top of all the labor, btw we still have not even received our $70 credit that he overcharged us for. He also tried to charge me $600.00 for a hose replacement that took Mario less than an hour to replace. The hose itself cost $80.00 at LA Lift Services right up the road. I am also in shock with how he came at me and insulted my business. I work hard for everything I have and maybe he saw me has his personal piggy bank but no business man should talk to a customer in the manner that is shown in the pictures. Bigger companies need to be mindful before hiring this company they will take advantage of you without you knowing.Please see attached photos for reference.
Do not do business with Efren, potentially putting your employees life at risk. He also charges above the market rate, make sure you get second opinions and do not let him take your forklift out of the shop! He just bills up the butt.
