This morning I had a Chai latte and the bacon egg burrito. The latte was amazing and one of the best I have ever tried. I liked the big chunks of potato in the burrito. The staff was also so friendly. Highly recommend this cute place.
Great local independent coffee house serving up delicious continental breakfast fare in a large unassuming space. The staff are warm and friendly and go out of their way to make each customer feel like part of their family. In typical independent fashion, the walls are adorned with paintings for sale from local artists, and the bachelor pad style furnishings are an eclectic mix of indoor and outdoor furniture plus whatever was available at local garage sales.
My favorite place to get an EXCELLENT breakfast burrito in the morning, and then an EXCELLENT club sandwich in the afternoon. I pretty much dont go anywhere else for quick food or a drink.
If youre north of Santa Barbara this is one of the best places to spend an hour over a cup of coffee ....its a great meetup spot.my favorite is the bagels and cream cheese with tomatoes and they have this delicious special seasoned salt that they add to them.... yummy
Flaky.!!Close kitchen by 4pm. No hot goods. No sandwiches etc from 4 pm even tho closing not until 5pm!
Best coffee and nicest barista team on the West Coast. Get it! Just watch out for the Famous Eggnog Latte come Christmas time. It will get you WIRED! Start small. Youve been warned. 😉👉🏻
A five-star rating for this restaurant. Great atmosphere, a wide range of entrees and mains, quality food, and refreshing drinks. A great food experience that’s best shared in a group. All of the staff as well were very accommodating and knows their stuff well. Thank you for a great night. Highly recommended to everyone.
Great place for a slow cup if coffee with a friend or two.
Website advertised a drive through option for picking up coffee, but when I showed up to get my order there was no drive through and the staff was unable to bring my coffee out to me (so please be aware of this when picking up an online order- especially if due to potential Covid contact concerns you don’t want to go inside a restaurant). That being said, even though the above issue did get in the way of me getting the coffee I ordered, the owner was very sweet in terms of apologizing for the miscommunication and refunding me for my order when I wasn’t able to go into the store to pick it up. I really appreciated the high level of understanding and customer service after this mishap. In addition to their amazing coffee and pastries, I really admire that the owner is so empathetic, and will continue to support this wonderful business in the future!
Am knocking them down one point today, new staff and for some reason twice now have had trouble with their coffee drinks, not sure why.. subpar twice in a row.. Also was sure their lox deluxe had something extra on it, but seems Im wrong? Couldnt find a menu so I could check that.Hope will be back up to 5 stars a bit later. This place changes from time to time but overall is excellent. The staff is kindly, attentive and they make sure you have what you want, if not they will correct it.My standby place for their tomato, avocado toast which is the best Ive had anywhere. Also love their bagel sandwiches and spreads, actually everything is good here.My one complaint is that at times their expresso makes me wonder just how low the caffeine content is. Tastes lovely but I want it to wake me up too.
The smoothies and the srvice are outstanding
Java station is awesome, been a staple of mine for over 10 years now. I have probably enjoyed 50 bagels with tomato and lemon pepper over the years, and this was a favorite study spot when I was at UCSB. Some constructive criticism - the bagels used to be served toasted and crunchy! The last 5 or so Ive had have been sent through the toaster machine far too quickly, the outside barely toasted and the inside soft and doughy. Just thought you all should know that there has been a noticeable change!
Look no more for the best salmon/bagel. Lox Deluxe is here!
Try their turkey sandwich on ciabbata bread on pepper jack cheese.
Great coffee and a perfect breakfast place
I was so happy to see the Java was serving food at tables again! And the quality of the product is still top notch. The problem was the cross contamination way the UCSB graduate made the lox sandwich. As she touched caper containers, then grabbed a tomato from the visibly dirty cutting board, grabs the knife, puts the cream cheese, then grabs these wilted cut onion slices from a plastic container, that the employee has touched several times that day, and it’s been open the entire time .See ? Gloves or not .Its the ORDER in which you make the sandwich which keeps from making a customer sick, after paying $14 plus the appropriate tip, it’s only fair you have your employees who have graduated from culinary school to please see one episode of Bar Rescue before you kill someone, like my Mama.
Two of us came here for a nighttime chat between 7 and 8:00 closing time. There were still several customers at tables who looked mostly like they were students working on laptops. The woman at the register was friendly and welcoming and patient as we made our selections (chai and an Oreo frap-type drink). After paying we sat at one of the plentiful tables in the spacious dining area, which could benefit from a couch or other form of cozier seating than the current tables and chairs. Other than that it’s a nice setup.I wasn’t crazy about the chai-it tasted a bit harsh and wasn’t hot-more very warm. I should’ve asked for a reheat and I’m sure it would’ve made it yummier or maybe I’m just a picky person-lol. My friend greatly enjoyed her Oreo drink however and it disappeared before I could even ask for a taste. At 8:00 we were so deep in conversation that we didn’t realize almost everyone else had cleared out for closing. And yet, the staffperson did not hustle us out as she was busy clearing up in back. She did, however, warmly bid us a good evening. Really good service here, and next time I’ll have tea or coffee or one of those tall Frappuccino type drinks.
Great place to hang out and visit with friends and enjoy a cup of the cona coast almost as good as being in Hawaii
Wonderful friendly staff. Great espresso. X 3. Lol
For me it is the best place where I can go to have a delicious coffee, or my favorite Hot Chocolate and a tasty Mamphis.
Love the sweet cream cold brew!
Espresso was pulled expertly. Klatch belle espresso beans are tasty. Friendly staff too.
Great place with very kind employees!
We ordered avacado toast and it was good 👌
Probably the best coffee shop in Goleta area. Java station is located in a lovely location with a vibrant environment. I go there almost every other day to work on my projects, they have great coffee and many tea options. Furthermore definitely try their bagels! They also have very respectful staff!
Excellent breakfast bagel sandwiches. I would come back again.
Wow, this has got to be in my top 3 for fantastic lattes! Cute atmosphere as well and in a really nice spot in SB.
A new favorite stop along 101! Wonderful people, great food and drinks, delightful atmosphere. We were stuck with our 5 kiddos in the horrendous day-after-Christmas traffic, and this was our rescue. Yummy muffins and smoothies for the kiddos and a heavenly egg-nog latte for me! Thanks Java Station!!! ❤️☺️❤️
Good food good people ☺️
Coffee and snacks are yummy. Service is friendly! Bagged whole bean coffee is expensive!
Nice staff, cool atmosphere. Seems like a family run business. It was the perfect blend of busy but still tables open.Coffee gave me instant jitters and a less happy belly - with a latte. That doesn’t typically happen to me so check it out for yourself. If you don’t like really acidic coffee I’d pass.
Love the atmosphere but every time I ask for my beverage extra hot it’s still tepid at best. Today after tasting my drink it wasn’t very hot so I mentioned it to the girl who made it. Her response ‘Wow! If I served that to someone else they’d burn their tongue! But I can re-steam it if you’d like.’ I shrugged, said no thanks and left with my drink. That was such a passive aggressive response. How does she know if it would burn someone? She didn’t taste it. I did and I guarantee you it was not hot! It was warm. And it was a large in a medium cup with an inch of foam. If I’d wanted that much foam I’d order a cappuccino. I feel petty for complaining about a coffee but when I was charged $5.71 I figure it needs pointing out.
Great pastries, coffee,
Super hip local coffee spot. Good munchies, Coffee, wifi and a ton of games to check out.
Very welcoming staff and atmosphere. The bagels are fresh and delicious. The coffee is just right and Aca and the whole staff are very friendly. Plenty of room to go and enjoy a cup or two of coffee and read a book or have a pleasant sunday morning conversation.
I love this coffee shop! The coffee is good and the environment is chill and relaxing. Bottomless coffee is great and dangerous! My one critique is that they should start renting their boardgames. It would make this place an even more enjoyable place to hangout!
I loved this place The vibe was outstanding and the coffee was terrific. Casual neighborhood but not excessively hipster :-)
Bagels and coffee are great!!! Cool place to hang out too with indoor/outdoor seating and is pet friendly. They have several board games that you can play too. I wish we lived in a world where 1 Oz of avocado didnt cost $1.50 ;)
Exceptional atmosphere, great coffee and sandwiches! The carnivore bagel is delicious - never thought I’d enjoy tuna with cream cheese but it works! Loved enjoying my meal next to a roaring fireplace. I’ll be back ASAP
Spacious, friendly, and a little punk too. My kind of place! Coffee is good, they use the right kind of ice and sizes are generous. Love the outdoor seating and the laid-back vibe from everyone!
Amazing Bagels and smoothies there iced coffee is also great. The atmosphere of the place is very nice.Workers are very friendly and helpful.
Great service great drinks go their often and would really recomend it
Delicious.
Cute coffee shop with beautiful (and delicious) avocado toast with tomato.
Its so refreshing to go somewhere as a stranger and to be greeted warmly! The people here are genuine full of good cheer and smiles. It doesnt hurt that they serve the best cup of coffee in Santa Barbara! A deep hearfelt thanks to Breeze and her co-workers! Much love from your Malibu guest!
Klatch coffee is a great improvement! Home baked goods are a nice touch.
Coffees is great... Nice shady spot...off road so car dust is 50 yards away.... Wish they had super sandwich menus to go with good company... Coffie .. Mabey they do have sandwich menus and I just didnt see it.You can relax there....
Love the place. Will definitely go back. Great sandwiches.
Love the table service and the staff are so friendly
I’ve been here a few times, generally for black coffee. I love the variety they have of this and the discount they offer for bringing your own container. I also love the atmosphere. On Wednesday, I asked for two, small dirty chais and a bagel + avo + cc. The chais were $4.95 each for a “small”— 8 ounces. I’m all about supporting local businesses because local is better! But unfortunately this was disappointing chai because it tasted like the ingredient ratio was off. I’ve had a dirty chai here before so it was just a confusing experience taste buds wise.Overall, I would go back, but not for a dirty chai. Also, you should try their bagel + tomato + lemon pepper + cream cheese + onion + cheese. Delish.
Really good authentic locals only coffee shop. Good selections of coffees and eats and staff are very good to excellent with service being a real plus here. Nice space to lounge and enjoy your coffee with friends. Highly recommended!
Great coffee, great atmosphere, open to the outside air. Stopped here during a vacation to a near by campground. Glad we had a quality local cafe nearby to stop on the way in and out.
It was a little pricey, but good!
Iced coffee was smooth and in a very pretty glass. The girl at the register was very happy and nice
Great place! Good chai and yummy avo toast. Nice 2 for 1 access card deal too!
Cozy local coffee shop delivering more than expected. It has earned its place as something of a neighborhood hub.
I like the selection of food and drinks. Sitting outside is pleasant but there are few tables there. Parking area is too small.
Great espresso drinks. Classic style (what youd expect in Europe), not hipster SF espresso. The crowd, though. Who are these people? They feel like they could be students who live in hope ranch on a field trip at a KOA in Arizona. Mixed with the older entitled bourgeoise, of course.
Nice place with good seating inside and shaded seating outside. The breakfast burritos are great! Make sure you get there early because they only make a limited number of them each day.
Delish food and coffee. Very nice atmosphere with inside and outside seating. Friendly staff. Selection of board games to play as well. Can get crowded.
Wish the was even more seating. Sort popular spot. Good eggbegals. Great coffee drinks. Board games
Very nice delicious bagel with toppings. Good coffee and free refills. Great ambiance. Not too pricey.
Recently have seen some great improvements! I love a lot of the female staff as they are nice and friendly! Like the updates and changes to the cafe. I continue to bring my friends and people I know to your cafe! Good coffee and bagel sammies!
Living in Santa Barbara most of my life, this has become my go to place for coffee, board games, and camaraderie. It has a laid back, friendly atmosphere. Theres plenty of other coffee shops to go to in a rush, take your time and enjoy this one.
This place is a bit run down looking and the drinks are ok but a bit pricey. Its a stop and grab a drink place. Not sit and chat. The music is to loud for that. The staff are attentive and some are very nice.
Favorite coffee shop in the world. Also doubles as an art gallery. Triples as a board gamers paradise on Thursday nights. Host events as well. Cant recommend Java Station enough!
Amazing almond milk latte. A little on the pricey side but if you wanna indulge this is the place.
Tons of room, free WiFi and the Kona coffee is unreal. Do yourself a favor and visit at least once.
Pretty good, but terrific fiir the location its in
Great bagel with perfectly ripe tomato slice the exact same size as the bagel. Impressive. Delicious Chai.
Best coffee shop in Santa Barbara/Goleta. Hands down, bar none. Very laid back, freindly vibe here. Plus a mind blowing variety of coffee/ teas & pastries.
A favorite...great coffee and very nice staff...always upping their game
Would have ranked it higher before they removed all the comfortable chairs. Drinks are decent and the baked goods are quite good.
Internet hub, subdued atmosphere, outside seating available, friendly service, self pouring station, definitely a spot to sit back and catch up on your digital devices.Good coffee plus more.
Great coffee, delicious, unique, made-to-order snacks, baked goods, games to play, a fireplace - what are you waiting for. We love it as a rest, refuel, and turn-around point on our marathon walks on a variety of routes.
Been going here 20 yrs..great food
Coffee in thermoss was luke warm and tasted old. Tomato bagel melt could have a little more flavor
They have matcha and that makes my wife and daughter happy.
Great little spot for a chai latte and a bite. parking can be difficult.. (hint: ride your bike!) Friendly service, I would return when i visit SB
Really great coffee.found it pretty weird that they toasted the fresh bagels without asking. otherwise, good breakfast food too.
Get the avo toast! And compliment them on their homegrown tomatoes! So good. Hold the lemon pepper.....
Good coffee, but mediocre quality control on the food
Since they took out the old comfortable furniture and the circular seating area, its lost its character. Service is also abysmally slow, in fact three people had to swap their student IDs for AARP cards they were waiting so long. They also close too early.
Lovely coffee shop to relax at. Parking can get a bit tight on weekends and you might end up with a bit of a wait around lunch, but its worth the wait.
Pretty good location for a mid-ride stop on an easy bike ride from downtown Santa Barbara. We enjoyed the indoor ambiance and atmosphere, good seating, both indoor and out.My coffee was very average. I had a latte that was entirely too milky and not nearly strong enough with espresso. Plus it was barely luke warm.My pumpkin muffin was the highlight. It was deliciously satisfying, well spiced, plus they microwaved it for me.So the good plus the bad makes it an average experience.
Our favorite coffee shop in town. I drive all the way up from carpinteria to study and play board games at Java. The baristas here a friendly and their coffee is top notch. Cant compliment this place any more than I have. My girlfriend always orders their chai, which she seems to enjoy. I personally like their house cups - their kona is on point.
Comfy place with great coffee!
Friendly staff, usually busy, parking is bad, the Tomato Avocado, lemon pepper on toasted everything bagel is soooo worth it.
Great local coffee shop serving house made coffee drinks, smoothies, bagels, pastries and more. Free Wifi is available as is outdoor seating, games, and a huge fire place.
Soft seats are disappearing from hot spots...there are a few soft benches here.
I wish they had better parking. Nice enough staff, quality product.
