Clean fast service. Watch your belongings if you are taking the order for here.
If you close an hour early change your hours. I guess I found Caje so it wasnt that bad they were closed.
I was feeling nauseous and the cure sign caught my curiosity. I had 2 large ginger drinks and BAAM!! Back to normal. Its Amazing and very tasty.
Best Quad Americano in downtown Santa Barbara
Dragon Ginger tea was to die for. Sugar free syrup offerings need to be updated, but absolutely delicious. The staff in this coffee shop are very quick and courteous professionals. Prices were good too.
The Good Cup is unfortunately not very good. Their drip coffee tastes like beans that were roasted a year ago, sat on a warehouse shelf for an eternity and then were horribly burnt in the brewing process. Maybe their espresso is better? Idk. If you have functioning taste buds you’re much better off going to Blue Owl, spending $0.25 more for coffee that’s locally roasted by Low Pigeon and tastes like someone cared about it.
Excellent spot to spend time alone or talk business. Had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.
The avocado, bacon, jalepeno cream cheese toast was exactly what I needed in my life today. Delightful dark roast coffee as well. Cute atmosphere.
Counter staff was nice, pretty fast service.Love the atmosphere and me and my bf always visit this place every weekend. It’s very quiet, so I love it.
A downtown Oasis! Comfy upholstered sofa, regular chairs and tables, a fireplace, plenty of space, not noisy and cold. Coffee is the strongest of any Santa Barbara coffee shops that I know. A great place to grab a cup or to spend several hours!
They have the best roast for espresso flavor in town. no more homeless bench obstructing the outside tables. consistent quality too.
Excellent coffee. Wonderful music that wasn’t too loud and a no pressure atmosphere. Love Good Cup.
Just a quiet, friendly place to get away from the snobby hustle going on at any given time on upper State. Good location, polite, down to Earth employees, excellent coffee offered in cup sizes that actually exist.Good place to rest my tired legs while the women shopped across the street.
It is the kind of place that unfortunately not many appreciate. Not trendy Starbucks but casual. It could have been a little more clean, but its cheaply priced and the workers were friendly.
This is a great coffee shop right on state street. The staff was very helpful. They also have gluten free dairy free pumpkin bread and lemon bread!
The baristas are friendly, the coffee is good, and the cafe is clean and cozy. One of our favorite places.
I came in here looking for some gelato. The person at the counter was very helpful, let me taste what I wanted, and quickly served up what I asked for. Other staff were very pleasant and fun to talk to.The atmosphere was great for a coffee shop. I could definitely spend a good amount of time here if I was working on a project and wanted to keep the coffee flowing. I would definitely come back here again.
Friendly staff. Nice State Street location with a patio. Real cappuccinos, espresso, biscotti. Id chose this place over Starbucks any day.
Nice chill place with indoor and outdoor seating. Let you toast your own bagel so its just how you want it :)
Very friendly workers. Cozy place to get work done. Great variety of teas, coffees, smoothies, and other beverages. Small selection of food as well. Theres also a restroom for customers only.
I like the good cup primarily because of the great living room feeling with great selection of tea!!! The reason that I did not gave them 5 stars is primarily for increased priced of tea and other items. Most barista are very nice!
Great service. Friendly employees, and comfortable seating. Great coffee and very relaxing experience
Ive been frequenting Good Cup on and off, had a swath of the menu. The light roast drip coffe, chai latte, and pour over coffe being stand outs that you should try. But the reason I would recommend this store is because of the baristas and servers. Every time Ive gone Ive had thoughtful and considerate service, and everyone really wants customers to have a great experience at the Good Cup. Stop on by for a cup of coffee, and stick around for chill vibes and youll see what I mean. Mad recommend, and I havent evened mentioned the gelato and kombucha.
Coffee wasnt that good. Their breakfast selection is minimal and weird. But the place is cozy and friendly, good place to stop and rest.
One of the nicest hometown coffee shops downtown, you should definitely go here instead of Starbucks.
Really enjoyed coming in to the Good Cup between films at the SBIFF Film Festival. Warm and inviting. Living room atmosphere. You toast your own bagels, which I found amusing. Had a chocolate cherry expresso, which was yummy, though I couldnt taste the cherry much. Ive come in several times. Nice selection of very unusual greeting cards too!
Great beverages, lots of power outlets, fantastic wifi, beautiful and convenient location.
Aptly named for its cozy atmosphere, and micro-famous chai latte. The only thing that really keeps me from coming around more often is that they use way too many disposable cups, even when im drinking it in-house. Take the good cup name all the way; use those simple ceramic mugs. The waste is completely unnecessary, and a sad set back to an otherwise great treat!
Great really rude and loud
A stalwart coffee and tea place. Many varieties of tea, great coffee drinks, snacks, and a nice couch, lounge chairs, etc. Responsive staff. Love the couches.
Ordered peppermint mocha and got some sort of coffee with an acidic possibly mocha-esque aftertaste. And the barista had the personality of a wet mop. Sorry. Wasnt impressed.
Good coffee and service. Nice patio on State Street. Street parking. Calm down place.
A very nice mocha latte and excellent service. Also a nice social mix of friendly people!
Super friendly and fantastic!!
Nice place to sit out with your dog, enjoy a cup and a bite and enjoy Santa Barbara. Or sit in with cozy seating.
Tasty coffee, reliable internet, and a bathroom. The friendly staff are icing on the cake. This place is an excellent spot to sit down and knock out a couple hours of work.
My favorite coffee and tea house in Santa Barbara.Very relaxed and laid back atmosphere with tons of airy space, as opposed to most coffee places that try to pack as many seats (and lately a trend of uncomfortable seats) in as they can.The coffee itself is very good, and unlike most of the SB coffee places they actually have lighter roasts ready to go. Most places in SB push medium/dark to dark roasts because the aroma pulls people in. Some of us that appreciate a good bean like a lighter roast because on a darker roast you tend to taste the roast more than the bean. Plus lighter roasting means more caffeine, which is a plus to some of us. Good Cup happily serves and will even recommend a lighter roast if it fits what youre looking for. This is an amazingly huge plus for me.The Good Cup downtown also has a nice selection of teas, black, green, and some herbal. I actually found my new favorite black tea there after a recommendation, called City Harvest, that I often make the trip just to hang out and have a cup or two of.Ive been talking about recommendations. And that is because the staff as a whole seem to really care about their customers having a great beverage and a great experience. More than one has told of working through sampling the various roasts or teas to better know their product. They all seem to have pride in their establishment, and a desire that the customer has a good experience and feels at home. This is a rare thing these days, especially in retail food service, and also with generally younger employees. To find this in a smaller store without billion dollar franchise training behind it is amazing. Each employee is also allowed to express their personality by choosing the music heard in store while they are running the show. I can pass by the patio and guess who Ill see behind the counter by the flavor of the music. This may seem like a bad idea to some that are used to coffee houses that play only music that they are selling the CD of due to an upstream corporate deal, but those places are no longer tuned into whats what musically. At the Good Cup, unlike the corporate coffee music place, I have never been bothered by the music playing. There is also a wide demographic of other customers that seem fine with it. In fact Ive asked a couple of staff members several times to let me know whats playing when I heard something unknown that I really enjoyed. One even took the time and wrote down a list of everything I heard and some tips for more similar artists. That is beyond exceptional customer relations. This all combines to make The Good Cup downtown one of an old and endangered species. A real old fashioned coffee house. A place to get a cup and relax, be at home, hang out. Be at peace.Really the only thing its missing to make it like the great coffee houses of old is the occasional performer of some type.Other than that its got everything to make it one of the Very few authentic neighborhood coffee houses in town.
Great chai, nice seating areas and clean bathrooms. I like the Mesa location more. Different vibe there, more relaxed.
Great coffee, fun place to meet friends in downtown Santa Barbara.
Nice coffee house... On downtown State Street
Generally good experience though one of the workers is rather lazy and gives you paper cups even when you are taking your coffee in the coffee shop. I find this to be wasteful and rather irresponsible environmentally speaking.
Amazing give and friendly staff.
Very nice coffee place with a good vibe. Highly recommend.
My favorite coffee shop in Santa Barbara. Good coffee, nice staff and a relaxed vibe.
Place was great especially on a rainy day with great coffee and good service

Over the last two months this place has gone down hill. Way over priced. You would think you were in Russia. Mediocre product average service.Met the owner the brick outside has more personality.

Only 1 drink so far. Someone purchased it for me as a cold cutter... I think it worked!
Coffee is okay (not very hot, slightly burnt) and barista was unfriendly.
