This was my go to place for all my storage needs. Back in May I gifted my daughter in law a hitch for her new car. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago we were ready to use it and discovered that the cables were not attached on the outside, they were in the inside. WHY???? is this new? All my other cars they theyve done have it on the outside under the back of the car. This means that the cables would have to be accessed from the trunk..which will be damaged with time when the trunk is closed. Since it was a gift she called and they didnt want to service her because I had placed the order. Ive been trying to call and when the call goes through they hang up. REALLY!!! Anyone know what is going on at this location? NOT A HAPPY CLIENT RIGHT NOW.

Made an online reservation and the check in and check out process was very quick. Rented a truck and it was clean. Guys working there were very efficient and organized

Very bad experience. Clerk or an agent very rude. A female employee was playing with her phone at 8:00 am when I inquire price for trailer. She did not hear what I said and I had to repeat few times. I did not like the hostile attitude and decided to get my equipment from other U-Haul establishment. I dont know how this employee is there with that much contempt for customers.

I’ve been using the inside storage. Not only did I have to throw my table and chairs away, and couch because of mold. There’s roaches everywhere. I did not have roaches now they’re going all through my stuff after only two months.Don’t use their storage.Customer service leaves much to be expected as well. They act like you’re ruining their day.They really deserve no stars.

Multiple trips to this location during our “Which trailer do we need?” decision making process found us having the pleasure of being helped by several different guys, all of them fantastic. Everyone who assisted us was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, and offered helpful extras. We never felt pressured or hurried. Moving is so stressful, but this team makes you feel so supported!

I was able to rent a U-Haul at the last minute, and this location was very helpful and made my rental experience quick and easy. I was able to get a enclosed truck with a ramp for 24 hours for less than $40! All I needed was something to carry a large couch 92 inches long and 2 end tables, and I had the truck in less than 20 mins after arriving. the associate was super helpful in assisting me over the phone as well in person. I highly recommend this location.

Great customer service. They went above and beyond to help with our move. Not to mention that they helped out our daughter when another Uhaul place confirmed her reservation but then magically didnt have a rental for her. Even though she wasnt renting from them they still helped her locate a rental.

Staff is amazing. If you are a walk in when they open just prepare to wait a bit. They gotcha.

I have had exceptional customer service from this U-Haul dealer for the last 2 years. During the transition of selling my house and building in TN I have rented a unit for over a year and rented a couple trucks and two trailers and I could not be more pleased with the owner and his staff! They are always professional and our equipment always exceeds expectations. I will always recommend Vince and this location for any moving, storage or supply needs! They are amazing.

This place is FANTASTIC!!!! Walter is the Bomb-dot-Com and knows his stuff when it comes to installing trailer hitches! Manager is lazy, and unpleasant. Told me I couldn’t be in the building without a mask on, I said that’s fine I already made a reservation to have my van wired for trailer lights, meet me outside. Refused to acknowledge what I had said and just repeated, “you can’t be inside without a mask. so After wasting my time making a reservation and waking up early in the morning, I took it somewhere else.

I love this PLACE it was Wonderful doing business with them for the two years I lived in Sanford. My move there, my move leaving also my storage they made it easy for me. The service was awesome. The general manager was amazing, the staffs was amazing also the staffs that clean up was amazing. Definitely recommend this to friends and family. LOVE YOU GUYS 😇

We love this uhaul store! Its our go to place for all things moving. We have rented trucks, vans, trailers, storage, bought boxes, and had tow packages and trailer harnesses installed. Awesome staff, and they have lots of available equipment! Highly recommended! They can get really busy on weekends, so plan ahead.

Signed up and prepaid online for a trailer hitch install on a Saturday. Two weeks later go in for the appointment and the parts haven’t arrived. No one called to reschedule prior to the appointment. Customer service said they would call the parts warehouse at 11 when they open and would call me to reschedule no later than 1pm. I call at 4ish because no one called me. Was rudely told no one called the warehouse and that he couldn’t help me. Monday call, ask for a manager, and am told they are busy so I leave my number for them to call me back. Two hours later, still no call back, so I call corporate and get a refund. Corporate at least got Chris to do his job and give me a refund.

If I could give less than 0 stars, I would!! If you dont care about your stuff then bring your stuff here. My whole storage unit (10x10) was ruined due to mold. Water damage on boxes and mattresses that are visible. Was told by general manager that he could do nothing and to call the claim number, then handed us the brochure. Didnt even get out of his seat or have the least bit of concern. No compassion or apologies. We had babys first Christmas ornaments, high school pictures, baby blankets, items inherited to my husband by his late father. It even got into wedding gifts. We checked our unit regularly and am completely shocked by the horrible service!!! We will never get those irreplaceable things back!!!!

On 5/23/17 I called to make an appointment to pick up a 10 truck at the U-haul storage (3851 S Orlando Dr, Sanford, FL 32773). The appointment was confirmed for me to pick up a truck on 5/27/17 at 9:30 am. I was informed that a 10 was not available at that time and I would be given a 15. When I arrived on 5/27 at 9:30 am the 15 was not available and my appointment was put in for a pick up at noon. I had people helping me so I could not move the pick up time. I was informed that I would be given a 10 truck and when I went to check out the truck the battery was dead. The folks behind the counter were working to get me another vehicle but none were available close by. They then gave me a van after a half hour of trying to sort things out. This is why you are receiving a poor review on Google and why I will not recommend U-haul to anyone else. No discount or compensation was offered for the screw-up on U-hauls behalf.

This location and its owner, Walter Lozano, have been so helpful with my long distance move, delays I had to manage, and any other issues since that have come up with my storage. I HIGHLY recommend working with this location of U Haul as they are great at helping out with any issues if you simply call and ask!

Well. I see all the reviews about calling.... Lucky you. Whenever I call, no one answers. At All. No voice mail. Nothing. Nada. Lol.I have to always drive and go in and it always amazes me that the whole staff is sitting there chillin with the phone ringing. Other than that, its no different than any other storage place. The added fees are through the roof. But you gotta do what you gotta do. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I called to rent a trailer, told them what kind of car I have, they asked me what kind of tow hitch and I told them what I wanted to tow. Then they supposedly checked to make sure my car had adequate towing capacity and then reserved one for me. When I got there, we went through the process of testing the trailer electrical connections, etc before they finally told me that my car is not adequate to tow the loaded trailer. The manager was rude and abrupt; he could have at least been apologetic that they wasted so much of my time. Then they kept calling and emailing asking if I was going to pick up the trailer. I emailed back that they refused to rent it to me, but they kept calling. I finally called headquarters to tell them and they said, thats weird. Okay. Rent somewhere else; these people dont have their act together.

Lovely staff and good service. There are lower prices elsewhere for trucks and units but uhaul does order conveinience and quality. They sell moving products in store as well for same price as most stores.

Had a unit here 3 years, no issues A/C worked just fine Elevator made it a breeze. Felt safe at night there as well.

Horrible service, they wasted 45min of my time while probing there test light in the truck trailer connection to try tell me my lights don’t work before I could rent there trailer. Manager argued my lights don’t work when it’s the manager himself who doesn’t know how to test a 12v system on a vehicle. This was also a brand new truck he was testing smh, needless to say I drove to another Uhual location 10min away and everything went smooth hooked up to the trailer I rented guess what the lights work!!!!stay away from this store.

Worst customer experience, rental rate is $39 but theyll figure ways to charge you twice that, for example charge $10 because the tank mark is missing 1/16 of a reading, good luck arguing what you see vs what they see on a small tank meter.

Stopped in later in the evening and had a truck in less then 10 mins. I was given the 15 footer for the price of a 10 footer bc they ran out of 10s. The people at the counter were very nice and friendly.

Im being customer of the place, for almost, 2 years continuously, the service that they offer is great,and confiability of the storage is amazing!

If I could rate this experience at less than 1 I would. Let me start with the Daytona International Speedway location. We made and confirmed our reservation several nights before the pick-up. We even asked to come earlier. When we arrived at Uhaul we waited almost 40 minutes to get our truck. We got home to find they had left out one of the utility dollies we had ordered. We returned to Uhaul where we had to wait to get another one. Fast forward to arrival at the Sanford location. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. after hours. We had spoken to someone on the phone earlier that week about after hours return and NO ONE mentioned a padlock to secure the truck. When we went to put the key in the drop box it said we needed to secure the truck with a padlock. No one had given us a padlock. We called the customer service and spoke to 2 people. No one knew what to do. The lady we spoke to said to just leave the truck unsecured. The next day I got an email saying wed been charged a $25 cleaning fee. Ed the general manager could not explain to me what was dirty, saying it was hard to see in the picture. He offered numerous times to send the picture but when I gave him my email address which he read back to me and I re-spelled out to him (so it was correct) he said the email kept bouncing back and then said it may have been their system. I asked Ed when the dirty truck pictures were taken and he stated 7:30 a.m. the next morning. So our truck was unsecured for 12 hours, and now we are being charged a fee for something that was not in our possession which we could not control the cleanliness of. Ed was EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL and stated that I could dispute with my credit card company if needed. We are disgusted as we know the truck was returned in good condition with all the items and nothing left behind from our move. Ed couldnt answer my questions about the inspection as he didnt perform it himself, and refused to connect me with the person who did the inspection so I could know exactly what items were left to constitute the truck being very dirty. Uhaul/Ed are scammers and you CAN NOT TRUST THEM. They are unreliable and even their customer service people dont know what is going on. SAVE YOURSELF time, money, and headache and go to enterprise for your moving needs.

Manager hires auto technicians with no experience in installing a hitch and fires employee the same day. We had an 8: 30am appointment with U-Haul to drop our Grand Caravan to have hitch put on and was told by Patricia the hitch would take only an hour to install. We stayed close by and ran errands with family in tow and called to follow up 2 hours later and was told the van was still not ready and they would call me shortly. We ended up running more errands and ate lunch nearby waiting for a phone call from Uhaul, and never recieved a phone call. After lunch, we drove over to U-Haul (5 hours later) and the van was still not ready! The manager at Uhaul, Ed Hollins was installing our hitch when he realized his employee had not idea what he was doing. Ed told my husband that the employee who attempted to install our hitch was in training and was new. He also stated that he was firing him. Ed took our vehicle for a drive and something didnt feel right. Manager Ed admitted to breaking the leaf springs when the hitch was installed. He did not realize the hitch installs where the leaf springs are located. Ed unbolted the leaf springs and could not put them back on. He advised us to bring our van elsewhere to repair the damages and install the hitch properly. My husband requested a reimbursement after in the amount of $128. So, six hours later and still no hitch installed and our van has damages done by Uhaul. Ed told us we need to get the car repaired somewhere and the hitch installed and he would pay for the damages that he caused. We made some phone calls to locate a place close by to install the hitch properly and fix the leaf springs which the U-Haul employee broke. Tire Kingdom located in Sanford took another 2 hours to get to our van, but they installed the hitch within 30 minutes and repaired our vehicle. So an entire day ( 9.5 hours to get the hitch installed properly and it wasnt even done by Uhaul. My husband was told at the tire place Uhaul staff bent our hitch frame and threaded a bolt. We scheduled another day with Manager Ed at Uhaul to put a new bolt on our vehicle because the one that came with the hitch was threaded off. This has now become a safety issue. Ed schedule another day for us to drop our van off. After 24 hours we pick up the van and look at the work that was done and Es auto technician did a shaddy job using a white compound glue to seal a black piece of plastic with a dummy bold attached to the end to appear that a new bolt was replaced. My husband called Ed to tell him what his technician did and we also put in a complaint with Uhauls corporate office. This place is scam and they do not know what they are doing. Ed hires employee without experience and has made this whole experience a hassle. They should hire a new manager who knows what they are doing.

If at all possible, drive to a different location.As soon as I can empty my storage unit, I will never use this place again. Very misleading business practices.

I got my money refunded from the overcharge they gave me, but it took about 2 months. Keep an eye on your bank account, and make sure to document when you take back their trucks and trailers, because they will charge you twice or more what you owe, and make you fight to get it back!

Horrible experience, got a storage unit and when I brought my 2nd load was locked out, so I had to pay my help and hire new help, take off work the next day all because a serious lack of communication, the lock the gate at closing, i missed it by 15 minutes, however if I had known none of this wouldve been a problem, sad part is the manager nor customer service manager called ke the following day,will be moving out promptly, its just sad that U-Haul has lost its customer service, Ive spent thousands over the past 3 years and will not substitute cheap for customer service ever again, thanks for the loss of my time and money u haul

Discrimination by language, I went to find information about the cost of a truck, there were 2 employees, one Latino and the other American. I asked the Latino if he spoke Spanish, he said yes, and the American told him that you couldnt speak Spanish there, and the Latino asked why, and the other said, Ill tell you later. As far as I understand you have even lines where they speak Spanish. Unfortunately I will not return to this establishment.
