I would never take my car back to this shop. Yeah, Gus is nice and polite, but that is not enough. After almost a month how my car was there, I had to take it back because the AC was not working at all, then none of the parts they changed/fixed were lined up. In the end they started to act rude because I was complaining about the bad work they did with my car. Hope God will protect me and never get in another accident 🙏, but sure is that I will never go back to this shop.
I called to talk to these people and she hung up on me. This is why people dont like body shops they lie & do horrible work. I can clearly see why theres no waiting to get cars in here. LoL
Gus the general manager is fantastic to work with and turned a truly horrible experience into a positive one. 4 stars for now, 5 stars come once the work is complete. I would recommend Gerber at Sanford, but do yourself a favor and ask for someone other than Brittany...
All I can say is WOW!!! I was rear-ended on Friday, July 17th. Travelers Insurance recommended Gerber and I am so glad that I went with them. I brought my vehicle to them on Monday, 7/20. Alex was great! She called me with an estimate on Tuesday morning and an ETA of 8/10. Then she called on Thursday, 7/23 and said that my car would be ready the next day! It looks absolutely fantastic! They even buffed out a huge scratch on one of my doors!I hope that I never need such extensive repairs ever again but would definitely trust Gerber Collision for anything that I need!
This place doesn’t even deserve one star. First time we went to pick my car up we were told my car was being washed it would only be 30 mins. Well an hour and a half later we go around back to see what’s really going on! They had my car on a jack after they claimed they cleaned it and said they were doing a “final alignment” after the car wash... when car was brought to the front for us there was the crayon writing on it, acorns, and dust after it got its final alignment in the middle of the yard where I see no trees not sure what they meant by cleaning my car because it seemed to me my car was dirty as could be! Got in the car backed out it hardly wanted to reverse and made loud scrubbing noise immediately! I have a two year old and they were about to send me on my way with the FRONT END messed up!!! Yes you read that right! When we told the girl that brought it up she said “yeah I heard it when I pulled it up front for you” at that point we called our insurance company to have it moved but there manager was gone all week so it remained at the circus shop and we got two other phone calls to pick up and the car STILL had the SAME problem!! These people never test drive my car the first time I watched the entire time and at this point if they’d drive it they wouldn’t call me to pick it up because you can IMMEDIATELY identify the scrubbing popping noise! Also notice a ding dent in the hood of my car that was never there! Yes I have photos AFTER the accident and you can see there’s no dent! After a boy took a photo of it after our first visit nothing was ever said and after we had gone to pick it up noticed it is still there!! CAN YOU SAY LAWYER?! My car is now thankfully at a dealership being worked on after 25 days! Also there’s a lot of bad attitudes there starting when we went to pick up my car the first time on top of straight lying to my face that the car would be cleaned in 30 mins! Please do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this place! Not only are they unprofessional but their entire team just needs to be thrown away they seriously don’t know what there doing! Hopefully this review spares someone the time and value if they want there car fixed right!

Gerber collision was great Alex the service advisor was very helpful she keep me informed of the work and when it would be done. I didnt meet the person or people that worked on the vehicle but the work was done very well. I was very happy with the whole process
Alex was professional yet down to earth as she handled my claim. She made sure that that I had a rental car waiting for me when I dropped off my car and that the rental car company would pick it up at Gerber Collision when I was done. She assured me that my car would be repaired in a timely fashion and it was. The repair crew did an amazing job and the cost was less than half of the estimate that I received from another company. I highly recommend Gerber Collision. They are honest and dependable. I give them two thumbs up.

I cant attest to quality of work but, not a good interaction. Just left after an estimate. The first thing the estimator told me is she works for the insurance company, Correction, you work for me not the insurance company. I want my car perfect not close. Reconditioned parts on a 4month old car? No I dont think so. Ill go where the estimator told me they will fight with the insurance company for me to get the perfect repair. Never forget whose car youre fixing. It isnt the insurance companys... its mine. Their customer hit me. Not the other way around. Dont worry, Ill get it fixed elsewhere and fight them with someone who doesnt fold like a house of cards before a breeze hits it. Thanks for showing who matters. Ive had repairs done like this, stuff comes undone headlights misaligned and when theres electrical problems, nobody wants to fix it because the reconditioned part is blamed by the manufacturer and the repair shop says its not the part. Have a nice day.

Gerber Collision was fantastic to work with! They worked seamlessly with my insurance and put up with my irregular pickiness like pros! They worked hard to get it perfect and I am so appreciative and happy with the results. It looks as if nothing ever happened! The car lines, quality paint and perfect color matching all out a smile on my face. They just did the work for me (early June 2019). I highly recommend them.

Took my car to get fixed after being in a car accident, and the customer service team was AWESOME. Loved how they send you updates on your car and very prompt with getting everything on time. My car looks and runs great. Thank you for also cleaning form the inside and washing it, Lords knows it needed it. Thanks again for the great service !!! Hope I dont ever have to take back unless I need to. :)

Not bad. Getting into an accident, paying money and waiting for your car to get fixed sux no matter what. Not really a bad experience with Gerber. It could of been worse. I was kept well informed

Every time I would call or come in after having an appointment set up, they would somehow NEVER be able to find me in the system. The first time, I could understand that, I mean I do have the most common last name in America, but the second and third time? Get it together! They are also very patronizing. I do not appreciate being talked down to simply because I am a woman. Im not stupid, my father works on cars and Ive watched/help him enough to know exactly what you are talking about. They are very unprofessional. I will never deal with them again. If your insurance company suggests them, DO NOT GO! It is not worth the headache and belittlement they put you through.

Staff acts like youre wasting their time. Cant speak for their service because I left after interacting with the obnoxious woman at the front desk for two minutes. I understand that youre busy and booked up, but you shouldnt treat potential customers as annoyances that you have to deal with.

Had to go back multiple times and point out major details missed by technician with repairing my vehicle (they wanted to be cheap). Highly frustrating!
Changed my experience after I thought the area manager had made it right. I was wrong repairs didnt last. Original experience was horrible. The gm was not even able to tell the the clips were falling out of the wheel well. Paint was done wrong and not cleared in two spots. The a poor fitting aftermarket bumper was put on and it goes from there. I drove away called the gm told him the car wasnt right which he argued. I then drove to dodge and was told the car wasnt safe to drive. My friend there was nice enough to pretend I didnt tell him about the accident and warrantied a complete new front suspension and rear drive shaft:After having the gm of this location get it wrong twice, and fighting me about it and having his employees leave their personal trash in my car I am now paying for a reputable company to paint the hood and rear bumper that are pealing after not even a year. So if you care about your personal safety or your car stay away: geico and State Farm Recommend this company dont believe them:
Ive had to bring my wifes car back several time since February for issues that should have been found the first time. I drove away and the windshield wipers randomly came on. Took it back. Fixed. Then a day later looking at the front bumper it was a botched paint job. Back to gerber we go. Fixed. Drove away and the transmission shifting properly. Back again I go. My hood started fluttering at idle as well as at 70mph. Back to gerber we went. All the repair technician said was its completely tightened down, theres nothing more I can do. Its not even lined up correctly now that I look at it. Someone pointed it out to me. Im very upset at my repair job. I understand its not easy to put the front of a car back together, but this is what gerber does for a living so one would think they would be good at it. Im going to take my car to another repair facility to see what they think about the repair and will probably have to get in contact with insurance to have my repair repaired because it wasnt done correctly the first 4 times.

My car was in there about a month . Picked my car up it was dead. They jumped my car drove home and it died . There was about 700 miles added to my car! Paint on my knobs for my radio is chipped off. Major inconvenience terrible customer service !

I HATE collision repairs: not just because of what would necessitate such an encounter, but because I once had a certain repair shop in Winter Park promise me repairs within a week (plenty long time already for a $5,000 job) that turned out to be FIVE weeks. You talk about your living nightmare. So it was with great trepidation, after somebody rear-ended us in my wifes car, that we approached the inevitable.Lexus Orlando only recommends two shops. Weve dealt with Dayas before. Their work was fine. Out of courtesy to the guy paying for the repairs out of his own pocket, I also got an estimate from Gerber. The Gerber price was 5-6% lower, and the promised time 50% faster (2 days vs. 3). Still, I was going back to Dayas just for convenience (2 miles from home), except - they cant take us for another 6 weeks! Back to Gerber I went.With no regrets whatsoever. They finished the job by noon of Day 2, and everything looked great. They also are very flexible when it comes to payment. Dayas lives by insurance claim. They dont take credit cards or personal checks - insurance claim or cash (or cashier chq) is all they take. Gerber is totally flexible. Even though they initially dropped the ball a bit in first securing the other persons payment as discussed, things turned out fine. So YES - I would recommend them.
