Well kept Middle Eastern Neighborhood Grocery store with plenty of fresh food options. They also do catering and have a small butcher section inside.Life is full of challenges. Economic difficulties, serious illnesses, family problems, and political unrest plague people on a daily basis. How a person faces each challenge that comes their way however, says much about their character, who they are on the inside. Some people draw strength and inspiration from the experiences of others.
New management seem to be having a better handle over the store. Looking forward to pick up more groceries from here now.
Love this market. They have great prepared food such as falafel and Shawarma. The meat counter has great halal and free range meat, and you can get delicious side dishes and fresh produce.
Great products and halal establishmentRude employee in the back of bakery.Trying to figure out my order and he is yelling at me.
Nice place, fresh fruits and produce. I stood in line for a good 6-8 min behind 2 people and it seemed like ringing up customers wasnt at the top of their list. But all in all it was a good clean place to get local produce.
If youre getting Falafel make sure to ask for a fresh batch to be fried otherwise its not worth it and it can be very cold.We ordered bunch of stuff, the good: Foul Mdammas, Hummus, Arabic Salad. The bad: the heated Kebbeh - not worth the money at all. I ate it because I hate wasting food. So you either ask for fresh Kebbeh or if theyre not gonna make fresh ones dont order these. The awesome: Fresh falafel. The weird: it was really hard to get an order through here. The old lady was pretty nice and she helped us with half of our order and asked us to go to the other counter to order the rest of it and they just kept ignoring us non-stop. I could hear and see the old lady is getting upset at then for ignoring us and kept pushing them to take our orders with no avails. It took me at least 20 minutes just to communicate my order.
Love this supermarket. Everything you cant find elsewhere is here. Their food to go is delicious. My favorite spot.
This is the best arabic middle eastern store in the bay area, it has everything one can imagine and with many varieties
Small packed store with all the usual Indian ingredients. Fresh produce and a variety of great staples of cooking.
Nice market with quality, hard to find products and very helpful staff.
We were searching for a place to buy fresh meat and finally found this jewel. The fresh lamb meat is awesome. It is so soft after its cooked. Just melts in mouth. I would recommend going here for fresh lamb.
A great selection of Arab items. Freshly cooked Mediterranean food is a plus!
Friendly workers, great food, and middle Eastern grocery
Favorite place for halal meats and spices ect. I remember seeing this place Everytime I would pass by as a kid, and then when I realized it was a grocery store as I got older I was stoked! I love middle eastern and cuisines for all over the world.Shukran for staying open & inshallah many more years to come.
They always have what i need, well worth the drive from pacifica.
Amazing products
Wonderful local market! Lots of fresh meats, spices, and regular groceries. Ill definitely be stopping in more often
Everything is more expensive than other oriental shops!
Big selection of middle easter produce. I love the place and thier oven stuff too.
They have everything you can Imagine
Clean, well stocked store. Usually not too crowed.
Good selection of middle eastern products.
Always a pleasure to shop there.
Amazing Arab cuisine with great bread & a wonderful selection of groceries
They Charge .25 for each bag. Always remember to bring your own bags.
Delicious food and beverages! And sweets! The honey ginger non-alcoholic malt beverage is so good, it leaves your lips a little sweet. Everyone who works there is really helpful. Parking is a little weird, but there is plenty of parking a short half block down by the Chevron. Its really good and affordable as well
Huge variety of international grocery. Fresh hot food. Cold Mediterranean appetizers. You can eat in place, or buy to go. Shop for exotic grocery items, frozen food, veggies and fruits, sweets and desserts
Great deals. Well stocked. Clean. Helpful staff. Would recommend to friends and family..
Good shop. Parking is difficult, but worth the run around.
Lots of variety for Arab cuisine!!
Great deals on fresh fruit (best prices in town aside from Deans Produce in downtown), excellent selection of chicken, beef & lamb. Also enjoy the finds in the snack aisles - Turkish Delight, sweets from unusual places (hazelnut wafers... dates wrapped in dark chocolate), feta cheese, unusual soft drinks from Europe & Israel.
Great place to get Middle Eastern groceries and spices. Good hot food selection as well, in particular the beef shwarma wraps. Spinach pies are good too, but would appreciate maybe more spinach and less dough in them. Otherwise, a solid choice!
The food is fine, nothing amazing but, not bad either. However, the service is horrible. The lady that works in the deli, specifically the late-middle aged woman with the distinct birthmark on her face, is the rudest person Ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with in the service industry. Ive been here twice, and wont be returning, solely because of this woman.Simply put, she has no business dealing with people, yet she seems to be the only person that works the delis counter. While were talking about the deli, this employee closes it down 30 minutes before the store closes, although the companys website states the deli will be open all day. This is an example of when you want an independent business to succeed but, the employees, not the product, ruin everything.
A complete store for. daily needs.
Friendly and interesting market, but hard to park and get out of there during high traffic time.
Used to have the best falafels. They made fresh when you ordered, still good but precooked now-owner hired help to staff the kitchen😞. Not the same. Babaganosh was burnt, so sad. Market has great selection of dried herbs n teas, fresh pita bread, and middle Eastern goodies.
Nice small mid Eastern pkace.....
Best store! My husband, esspecially, knows all the workers by name. We come here very often.
Sold me milk that was expired by 3 days; when I noticed, came back and showed it to them, all that cashier said was if I had 1 cent; I said I didnt, so he gave me back 2,99 with coins; I jokingly said they could have paid me extra 1 cent and just gave me 3 bucks for selling me expired product and making me return, but he gave me a pretty unfrienly stare and didnt say anything; I later checked the milk section - all their milk was 3 days expired and no one rushed to remove it after my return. A woman at bakery section was pretty friendly though so plus 2 stars to her, would have been 0 otherwise;
Meat is are extremely fresh. You can find nice Mediterranean items. Price is little higher than what I expected. Great location. Parking is hard but you can park close by.
Great store to get Turkish foods. Good variety
Great service! Produce much less expensive than typical grocery stores around Belmont, San Mateo
The price of many goods can be found only at the checkout
Its rare to find a good grocery store that sells middle eastern goods. I love this place! Their prices arent bad and they have a good variety of things I need in my Persian kitchen!
We have been coming here regularly for many years. We enjoy the Vegetarian Mezza. Today we chose Hummus, Baba-Ganouge, Muhamara, Tabouleh, Musaka, Falafels, and Spicy Olives.
Has no respect when he sold me an item for $28 dollars and every where else is $15And his responded to me with if you can’t afford it don’t buy it !!!!!!By the way I did bought it just to show him I can afford it so he will loose me as a regular customer .Any way guys watch his price and compare or match with other places and you will see .
The shop time is wrongly mentioned. The shop starts at 9AM and closes at 8:30PM. Please correct it. I love the goat and sheep meat over there. Moreover the Onions and Potatoes are really good in Aladdin Gourmet.
Small but packed with goodies. You can find all staple middle eastern groceries and fresh made appetizers and desserts.
Meat quality is excellent and service is also satisfactory. Every on behavior is very polite. Only problem is of parking near the store.
Great store. You’ll find almost all the Indian necessities in the store including masalas, rice, fruits, veggies, Indian flavored ice creams, frozen chapathis, bread, ghee.
Great store, quality too. Nice owner. Great store.
Amazing small bites and deli! They have a wide selection of middle eastern grocery and spices!
The butcher sold me just the right cut of steak and even gave me a discount!
Bought a mosaic patterned hookah here!! Get tons of admirers for it whenever we have parties at home. They have unique pieces that are quite beautiful.

Good for middle eastern product, prices average, customer service is good
Quite a variety of food. Very welcoming staff and wonderful falafels!
Good place to buy fresh chicken. Also, you can find all types vegetables, fruits, condiments used in different countries
Good selection of grocery menu and food at very good price
Not enough Personnel to help you out they only focus on the Middle Eastern side which is great for what it is. A little pricey. Not very friendly communicative personnel. But if youre from the Middle East it would be like that
Great grocery store that brings our childhood favorite products from abroad.
Over crowded with stuff but I love going there. The employees always greet you with a smile
Falafel wrap spicy is the best meal deal of San Mateo. Shop for sweet sugar wafers while waiting.
Great produce. Nice selection of items. Try out the fresh Sesame bread from the bakery
Great Middle Eastern food selection. On top of that, everything in the store and restaurant is Halal. I regularly shop here for Halal food.
The best food allways fresh great people very nice atmosphere .
DONT PURCHASE MEAT HERE!!!!I purchased 2 lbs of goat meat at $8.99 per pound. After I finished eating the meat portion, I saved all the bones and weighed them. Bones weighed just a tad shy of 1.5 lbs. RIDICULOUS.. Shame on you for running a scam business.Never buying meat or anything from here..
Wonderful place. Their Manouches are amazing and very well priced! We love this place
The sesame bread is oh so fresh and yummy!! pretty clean and good tabbouleh and a huge selection of mediterranean groceries. The staff is super friendly and honest.
Very friendly owner. I loved the variety of authentic foods although the store seems less spacious. Location is fantastic. I purchased a deglet nour dates (original maghreb) which I loved the quality (it is rare to find). Price of groceries is reasonable for a community market too. Well done. Seriously
Great selections of spices. Meat counter has good lamb

Every things are expensive than other markets. They dont care about expiration dates. They sold one item to me 3 times expensive than other markets. Very disappointed. Never gonna visit this market again.
It has halal meet and great snack food
Their sweets are varied and delicious.
Great place to get fresh free range meat but you have to get there during daytime, ideally before 4pm.
Delicious Middle Eastern deli
Very good middle eastern food.
New delicious Mediterranean food ❤
Fresh baked zatar and cheese pie, this store is great for fresh food and groceries at affordable prices plus a great location. The parking could be hard to find sometimes due to limited parking spots im front of the store.
