If youve ever been to a Michaels, generally the concept is similar. Its a hobby/craft supply store where the lean is far more heavily on crafts than what one might have more traditionally understood as hobby. Where your hobby shops of old had a higher focus on plastic models, figurines, cards and related materials, these kinds of stores have a wider focus on the larger hobby of crafts. It might be fair to say that its a general hobby and craft store.Its much larger in size than Michaels and houses a larger array of similar craft items, as well as seasonal, contemporary, American-ish knickknacks.So, like Michaels youll have sections for small scale wooden crafts, different papers, illustration/sketch/painting bits and bobs (oil, watercolor, spray, pentype (Copic, etc)), then on to small books for kids, fabrics, home decoration, some textile and yarn stuffs and then related materials. Fabrics set it apart from Michaels as Ive not seen a Michaels that carries fabric basics. Some leather exists for those who are so inclined. I would say that as a general craft store, it truly excels at being general and not being great at any one specific area.Its a good place for casual crafters or those looking to target home based small crafts. Those focusing their skills on specifics like leather, plastic models, sewing or have deeper illustration needs may not find this place perfect. But enough exists to get your feet wet on all of those fronts.On that front, Id say this place is like a Michael and Jo-anns store combined...but with slightly fewer Fabrics than Jo-anns.The bad--some of the items are horribly overpriced.The good-- sales happen often. Though whether you truly save money on the sale vs, say, Amazon is a different story.Good for what it is and for getting the basics when you need them.

Jury is out on if this store should be considered a hobby shop or a home decoration store. Very limited furniture. Lots of beautiful cool eye candy🍬🍬 for your dwelling for sure! The store is nice. However, I came from SF today to get needed supplies for a project I’m working on. Just a few minutes ago I pull out my bag with my supplies to finish the final stages on my mosaic. Low and behold, my receipt shows that I paid for all of the supplies that I needed, but my bag does not. Wouldn’t you know it .. it looks like a couple of items that I paid for, miraculously missed the bag before it was handed to me! Unbelievable!!! Disappointed ☹️

Its huge and expensive service is alright but checkout is not very friendly. The silk flowers EVERYTHING, love love love them! So realistic its scary.

When this store opened during the summer of 2020, I inquired about returns because I wanted to do early Christmas shopping. They clearly did not have their act together because I was told I had a year and could return as long as I had my receipt. Now I want to return something unopened WITH A RECEIPT (6 months later) and I would only get 10% of my money back because items are now on clearance, while returns are only allowed within 90 days. I dont care if its on clearance, I didnt buy it at clearance price and I have a receipt to prove it! Also, some items are consistent in poor quality. Get your act together Hobby Lobby! Horrible service!

Too much conservative propaganda in the way of the books and signs they promote near the checkouts. Everyone can have their positions, but we can choose not to shop there.

I love this store but I do not like the staff at this location. I never felt so discriminated in my life. I think it is insulting to have employees follow you around the store, and not even bother to ask if I needed any help(which I did). Hopefully the G.M realize that customer service is valued Greatly and that making your customers feel like criminals is actually something that a person can take offense to and not return to this store ever again. I will be sure to spread that news around.

Upgraded Michaels, Actually expected it to have more hobbiest items, like 1000s of models small motorized projects, planes and boats. But all in all not bad.

I think this is better than Michaels! Cant wait to bring in my pictures so I can get them framed!

Great place for arts and crafts items. I was able to find all the materials I needed for my personal art project. The staff helped me find some of the items I was unable to locate. Overall, a good place if you are looking for materials for your artistic projects.

Annoying that they dont do Halloween and close on Sundays. I only come when I cant fi d what I need at the other craft stores. They do carry all kinds of things just not a fan of the politics.

Wowsy Ive moved away from the area and came back for an appt.....gosh what a surprise. I almost wish I didnt move!!!! Why would the crafting gawdesses do this to me? Nice selection, was in there for hours and when I venture back for my next appt....well its a given Ill have to shop my wish list for sure!

Big store, staff were plentiful but not much selection of tools and paint for scale modelers.

I am truly upset. I drove all the way up from San Jose to go here and I got charged for an item I wanted but never found it in my bag. The employees name is Jaida and she not only charged me for an item she didn’t put in my bag but double charged me for an item as well. Keep I mind that I didn’t realize any of this because they were rushing us out at the time of closing. Now I’m at home wondering when I’m going to get my money back for what I was charged for and now I have to take another trip to have all of this taken care. Super disappointed.

Not a hobby store, its all consumerist junk and some craft supplies.

If youre looking for a great hobby store this is the place. The only reason it received four stars instead of five is my partner ordered two yards of each fabric and was charged for 2 yards but only received 1 yard when we got home. She has no experience with buying yardage and did not watch the lady cut the fabric

I was overcharged for 2 items totaling $4. When I wrote to their customer service they came back with I was charged for all the items that were put in my bag. My receipt was for $85 so $4 wasnt going to make or break me but its the way their customer service handled my issue is why they lose me as a customer. I know what I got and what I was charged for. Check before you leave the store or better yet stay away from Hobby Lobby because they only want your money.

Listed: a selection of Vallejo acrylics; a limited supply of Testors enamels; also a limited supply of Model Master acrylics; no Tamiya acrylics here; Testors thinners; three types of Testors glues; a number of tools from blades to files; three varieties of cyanoacrylate glue; cyanoacrylate accelerator; Evergreen styrene products. Of course, the prices are reasonable.
