I had a great experience with my sales rep AJ. He was extremely friendly and welcoming and did all he could to ensure the purchasing process was easy. He answered all of my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about the product. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a new mattress.

I had a great experience here. I stopped by several other mattress stores to price shop but also determine when I could get the mattresses delivered. Prices fluctuated a little bit but in the end Tom was willing to work with me a little more and, importantly deliver all the mattresses and box springs the next morning. That sealed the deal. Very happy.

This location is one of my favorites. Always clean, well lit and friendly staff. Tom was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave us our options and answered our questions easily. Most importantly gave us the room to try out the mattresses and talk and never hovered. I’ve bought my last 3 mattresses here for all these reasons.

The plan for the day was to accompany my friend to find a new mattress. After a few store visits, we ended up at Mattress Firm in San Mateo. We were greeted by a friendly employee name AJ. AJ was very knowledgeable and showed my friend all of the mattress options that met her criteria. He was not pushy and wasn’t just trying to make a sale. My friend ended up purchasing her mattress and platform from AJ. I even purchased a platform for myself! If you are in the market for a new mattress, I highly recommend AJ!!

Just the right place to buy your mattress. Tom was very accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful. I always have issues with sleeping due to my backaches. Although I have a specific brand on my mind, which was the Purple Mattress, he showed me other options. Took me almost 2 hours trying different mattresses. I walked into mattress firm to get a mattress and that’s exactly what I did. The salesmen named Patrick was so sincere and kind I felt very comfortable. He didn’t pressure me or try to rip me off. Walked in wanting to try out some mattresses and left buying 2, 4 pillows and two bed frames. Tom is very helpful - knows his stuff well and helped my find the right level of softness/support for my back and neck pain.

Short and sweet! I went in during my lunch break looking for a new mattress, picked one out, and less than 24 hours later I had my new mattress delivered and set up in my room. Jeff was very helpful and was quite knowledgeable - appreciate all his recommendations and love how simple he kept everything. I didnt really look at all the mattresses available in the store, but I saw a great variety. Its not everyday you will be shopping for a new mattress, but I would definitely shop here again if needed.

I stopped in yesterday to order a low profile box spring. Janelle greeted me almost instantly and quickly set me up with what I was looking for. Before finalizing my purchase, I thought I might add a new pillow. Janelle brought me about 10 pillows to try on the floor-model mattress most similar to my own and waited patiently while I tested them all. When it came time to finally check out, Janelle and I suffered through a tediously long process with a slow computer that ultimately cancelled my order (and my ability to take home the last remaining in-stock pillow I had chosen since it no longer appeared in inventory). Janelle was very apologetic and offered to discount my delivery fee, all while courteously answering the phone to assist several other customers. She even seemed to remember customers orders just by hearing their name! Simply put, Janelle is amazing at her job! I will definitely be coming back to this Sleep Train for my future mattress needs.

Stopped here first what a mistake. There was no one in the store was greeted by a young lady sitting behind a computer and that was it. No help no nothing. Walked across the street to another mattress store and what a difference. Was greeted and helped through the process of choosing a mattress. I ended up buying a tempurpedic king size mattress and box spring

I took my 95 year old mother to find a bed, and we could not be happier with the service that we received and the product. Arthur was particularly helpful, and even when the Tempurpedic foam mattress did not work out for my Mom, he helped her to exchange it for a coil mattress that she absolutely loves. Everything was done quickly and efficiently, and we could not be happier with the experience.

Was driving to Sears in San Bruno to buy a mattress when my wife suddenly pointed out to a Sleeptrain in San Mateo. On impulse we pulled over, and boy, am I glad I did. The sales lady (Jenny?) is fantastic. She doesnt try to sell you anything expensive or glamorous and starts out by asking you to try out the different types of mattresses to identify your needs, comfort and style. Only once that is done, she introduces you to different price ranges and then of course, its your call depending on the tug of war between comfort and the purse.Delivery fee was reduced as I needed it on a weekday and it helps if you combine a few purchases which I did. She gave me a great combo deal on numerous purchases. The delivery itself was on time, professional and the mattress is great to sleep on.Prior to this, I had seen a few negative reviews of Sleeptrain in general, but just for experiencing a great buying (and not over-selling!) experience, I recommend Sleep Train at San Mateo Hillsdale.
