Hes been working on my car, and the work is meticulous, the car is done when promised, and his prices are great. You know hes going to do a great job, treat you right, and be honest. You can stop the search because this is the best german auto shop around. i love autokraft because the staff are honest, transparent, and easy to work with. they dont upsell you on service you dont need. they break down the services you do require so its easy to understand and prioritize for your needs. they were even happy to provide me with the old parts once removed. owner alex was familiar with all the other bay area vw mechanics i had used for the past 15 years! hes super knowledgeable and easy going, as is his colleague manol. these guys are just a pleasure to deal with. i spent over a year searching for a new mechanic after my previous mechanic retired. soon as i found this shop, it was that gut feeling once i talked with alex that this is the guy. i dont have the fanciest car on the lot, but they take great care of me everytime, and it really means a lot to me. Im moving out of the area soon, but Ill probably drive 120mi to keep getting service here! thanks for the great service autokraft (and for the car wash - you didnt have to do that, but that was awesome!)

Got my X3 serviced and Alex and team did an exceptional job. I just got this car used and was a bit nervous about the condition and wanted a professional inspection on the car. Alex did an extraordinary job at a multi-point inspection and service. He stepped through all the key aspects of safety, called out all the future watch points and was able to give me comfort with my purchase. He also found one area to keep an eye on, and from my observation both mechanics have amazing diagnostic skills. Overall excellent experience and will be back for my service soon!

Very nice place! I got a quote from another garage with more items than I needed for a 80k mile service, and Alex took a look at the car and found that several of those list items were not needed at the time, which helped me save a bit of money.I got the vehicle serviced in a few hours and was out and my car is humming along very nicely now :)

I needed a pre-purchase car inspection especially buying thru private seller. Typical quotes in the area for 100-180. I was shocked to hear no charge, lets setup an appt ill test drive it, inspect, and lift it up to look under. I was skeptical at first because one thing about the yayarea, theres no free lunch. I made an appointment, we personally spent 30-45 minutes going over the car. I felt confident enough to buy a $25k Audi from a private seller thru his inspection FOR FREE.Give a man a fish you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish you feed him for life. With plenty of fish and easy money to be made, its rare for a mechanic to think long term.Alex, you have a customer in me for life. I will see you for my 55k service interval.

Alex is the best! He diagnosed my Minis engine problem quickly, and fixed it. This problem had eluded all other mechanics whod tried to fix it. My Mini runs like new now! He also fully explained everything he did in a way that I could understand. I really appreciate all that he did!

I trust these guys enough to drive down from San Francisco to take care of first my 09 Cooper, and now my Countryman. These guys are the best! They know their Kraft, are meticulous, efficient, and best of all HONEST. They specialize in Audi, VW, and MINIs but will trouble shoot anything that comes their way, or refer you to someone who knows better. Theyll tell you what you need to get done now, and what you can get away with and how long. Alex was with me every step of the way, showing me exactly what was happening blow by blow. My battery was low, but not quite ready to go...maybe a couple of months. Breaks could go a 6 or so. Hes clarified for me some unnecessary jobs in a second opinion consult. Bent control arm “found” by Mini dealership didn’t even exist. Manol even found a teeny filter that was missing from the pump during oil issues and change. Such attention to detail. If they take off one part for two issues, they wont do the usual trick of double charging you for the labor. When my car was flooded they took the extra time to dry it out after hours...these guys will lovingly to take care of your car. I even got a quick ride to the rental down the street. Fantastic service. Waaay cheaper than the dealership. Money well spent.

Great and honest mechanics!Finding qualified mechanics for VW/Audi cars is a hard enough task on its own. If you find them usually they charge a lot. This place is different. I had my Touareg towed to their shot. They diagnosed the problem and informed me of the cost and time estimate. I provided them with my aftermarket warranty and they spent the time to file a claim and provide all supporting documentation. They kept me updated on the claim and the repairs. Gave my car a surprising car wash, which was not expected given the fact I am not paying the crazy overhead at the VW dealership. I am very happy that I found a great and reliable mechanic, which I can thrust.

He took really good care of both my VW cars and I look forward to a long relationship with he and his shop. While I live inSunnyvale and have to drive a bit to get to him, the train station is very close to his shop and is convenient for taking care of business! Looking forward to seeing Alex again.

Alex at Auto Kraft saved my life! My VW TDI engine self-destructed when the broken turbo disintegrated and froze up the engine! Alex found a rare, hard to get used engine with turbo and all, installed it and now it runs like a champ, with an engine with a third of the mileage on it that my old one had.Alex is the best!!!

AUTOKRAFT IS THE BEST!!!Remember service with a smile? Heck, remember service at all from someone in the service industry? Thought it had gone the way of the milkman? Well it’s alive and well at AUTOKRAFT. I had a GTI with rough idle and the engine light was on - bit of an issue with a planned road trip in 3 days. Called and they took me and my car right then - no waiting. Not only were they nice, personable, and well informed - Alex and Manol spent an hour fixing my car, made me comfortable, offered me a soft drink...and then refused payment of any kind.
