John is a great mechanic and easy to work with! Highly professional and fantastic repair service! Discovered a bulging tire that couldve led to a blowout! Luckily we caught it in the nick of time! Fixed my steering issues along with it and my BMW runs as good as new! Thanks John! Definitely will be back for next round of services!

Spoke and worked with the shop owner John. An easy going and nice guy overall. He went above and beyond to do a safety check when I mentioned there might have been an engine oil leak. Turns out no leak and gave me a run down of some minor fixes in the future I will need to think about but not immediately. I truly appreciate the extra effort and candor John had. Not salesy at all and gave honest opinions and recommendations which felt nice and personal. Im looking forward to working and building a relationship with John and the shop more in the future.

I have been bringing my BMW here for several years - and now that they recently started specializing in Jeeps, I’ve been bringing my Jeep here for about a year now. John (owner) is the quintessential professional - clear, communicative, timely, and reasonably priced (and no hidden costs). John’s chief mechanic Brad is a terrific mechanic as well - on multiple occasions he’s taken the time to talk me through some of the more involved procedures required and showed me the damaged parts along with the replacement. No bull, no upselling...just pure professionalism and quality workmanship at a very reasonable price.

John is friendly and honest. On one occasion I thought I needed new brakes but he took care of my brake sensor issue while saving me money. I appreciate someone as professional as he is and he has done an excellent job on my BMW.

I owned a 2000 BMW 20 years ago. I was referred to John by a BMW dealership because John use to be the Master BMW technician. Ive known John for 23 YEARS! I would ONLY let John service my vehicle. John had my car running to over 350,000 miles. I made a mistake and purchased a Hyundai and VW cars and both were RECALLED. So last week I purchased another BMW 325i. I reached out to John and I had my vehicle at his shop the same day. He even ran the diagnostics on the vehicle before I purchased the car. He found a few repairs that needed immediate attention so the car owner deducted the repair costs from the purchase agreement. I only purchased this BMW because I know John will keep my car in A1 shape, performing above expectations! Hes the BEST BMW mechanic in the Bay Area!

John and his crew took a look at an “issue” reported by a different, much shadier mechanic. They lifted my vehicle, gave me at least 30 minutes of their professional time, test drove it, and in the end told me there wasn’t actually any problem, and charged me a grand total of $0; John even tried pretty hard to refuse a modest cash tip for their time and insight. Very kind, communicative, and honest.

Finding an excellent mechanic with integrity and honesty that specializes in BMWs and Mercedes is a tough task. Luckily, we have a great one with John at ABS. He has helped me take and old BMW 3 series to 300k miles and he has been a godsend when doing work on my M3 when it came off warranty. I give the highest recommendation to him and his team.

ABS is the place to go, they are very professional, knowledgeable and honest. Went in to figure out the smell from my engine bay and they quickly figured out that it was melted plastic and I was out within 30min. Highly recommended and will go here again for all my needs

Took my broken e90 335I there for semi large repairs. Thinking I was going to spend around a thousand ended up being four thousand and change. But the service was great they did a rear main seal, clutch and flywheel, and oil pan gasket. They also threw in a bunch of standard maintenance for just the parts cost. Over all very happy with their service. I love cars but hate working on German cars they have solved my problem. Though they are not the cheapest I honestly think you get what you pay for. And the final price was lower than the estimate which was a nice surprise.

Impressed with the professionalism here. I know theyre honest because they actually advised me that it wasnt necessary to get my shocks fixed when I was thinking they were worn out. I might not get any work done now but I will come back when I need anything.

ABS is likely the best mechanic for BMWs in the Bay Area. Mike and John are not only extremely professional but stand by their work. Are they the cheapest? Probably not...Im sure someone else out there charges less and cuts corners. Are they the absolute best value? Hands down yes. Theres no way Id bring a Bimmer anywhere but here. ABS knows BMWs and are honest and professional. If you dont wanna be marginalized and want mechanics that care about fixing your car, this is the place.
