McGavock Nissan is/was the only Nissan dealer that we found in central Texas that didnt increase the MSRP of their new vehicles with unwanted add on items.
My experience at this dealership has made me enjoy the car buying process. If I could give more stars I would! It was no hassle and the sales team made everything simple and easy. Once I became a customer at Nissan San Marcos, I have never gone anywhere else. They are the best when it comes to getting you your car. I have gotten both my cars from them, my sister has gotten her past 2 cars from them, and now my mom has switched to Nissan life as well. Even after you buy from them, they are the best people to go to for maintenance and oil changes. They always go above and beyond and help me as much as they can. I haven’t officially bought my car yet but the process of buying a car here with Mireya was super easy. She was very personable and our conversations were smooth. The manager, Jim, was super helpful, not pushy, informative and easy to talk to. This dealership did not add a whole bunch of fees and unnecessary additives to the vehicle. They were honest and straightforward and I felt comfortable doing business at this location. I will update once the car arrives and I officially sign my contract!

This dealership is horrible! If i could give 0 stars I would. Ive left multiple messages for there finance team to call me back. Every time I call them now my calls go directly to there voicemail. I live 4 hours away from this dealership.It took me over 2 weeks for them to email me forms to cancel my extended warranty and gap insurance. They wanted me to come in and fill the forms out. I informed them of my travel time. So they finally elected to email me the forms. I filled out and faxed my information back to them in April/June. Fast forward to August...They failed to file the information. I called Nissan 1800 # to find out where my rebate check is and found out that my old car is still registered in Nissans system to me as active. Im done with this dealership and there poor customer service ethics. I will be telling all my friends,family and who ever else about this dealerships poor customer service. I have had way better treatment with my new car i bought from Toyota dealership then i have from this Nissan dealership.
I was very happy with the excellent customer service when I walked in the door. It was such a different experience than I’d had at another dealership. I had an appointment time and Mike Riley was expecting me. He was very kind and helpful, even showing me how to fix a light issue that was a simple roll of the dial without it being embarrassing! Mike kept me informed of the progress of my vehicle and made sure that I was happy with the service.Micah, the porter, was so personable when he shuttled me over to pick up some lunch. As I sat outside (my choice) waiting and observing, I noticed what a hard worker he was with such a great attitude.Customer service is a pretty big deal in my book and I can say that not only those two gentlemen, but every person I had contact with at your dealership gets a gold star in my book! My friends and I locked ourselves out fo our car with no access to our phones, wallets or anything. When we came to the dealership to get our car unlocked, towed, and have a key made we were so stressed out and panicked. Richard Garcia took amazing care of us! He let us use his phone to contact the insurance agency and towing service, talked us through the process of having a key cut and programed, had his coworker take us yo our car to have it unlocked, and most of all talked us through a really stressful time and kept us calm, comfortable, and laughing! Im so thankful he was there when we went in for this issue I have no clue what we would have done without him!

They are able to meet my trade in requirement and the price that I was willing to pay for the new vehicle. I also did not have to waste a lot of time at the dealership as all of my negotiations were done either be text, Email and phone conversations. This made it very easy as all I had to do was bring my trade in, give them the down payment and sign the loan documentation (after a road test of course) and I was out the door and on the road with my new vehicle within 1 hour.McGavock Nissan truly makes every effort to give you the best deal that they can offer you.

I understand that sales is a part of the job title, however I strongly recommend listening to the buyers, and considering their budget. I was talked down to and felt so small. I was tricked into a buy and signed paperwork that was not clearly explained to me before I was told the monthly price (which I told them I could not afford) once I tried getting out of it, they told me that the paperwork is signed, there is absolutely no going back. I felt so defeated. I was considering talking to the manager of the company to give me my car back and leaving them with their car the sold me. I will unfortunately not be back to this property in the future, nor will I recommend it due to the lack of common courtesy.
We have bought two vehicles from here over past two years and have been super happy both times. This time O’Shea was our salesman and he was awesome! Not pushy at all! Lawrence handled the paperwork side quickly and efficiently and even bought us a slice of pie lol!
Arranged for the service online which worked fairly well. Only hiccup was it showed me as having own transportation to be picked up when what I was doing was waiting. That being said, I was unable to find a coupon and was leery of paying what McGavock charges for service. But I wanted to ensure it was being taken care of and went prepared to pay. I checked in online and arrive at approximately 7:10 am. Car was checked in. About 15 minutes later, service advisor came to tell me I was getting the oil change part of the service at a reduced rate. APPRECIATED THAT!!!! Car was complete by 8:00 am. Definitely appreciated that also. Drove away happy! Final thing was about 5:00 pm received a notice that there were things needed to be done on my car and that I should make choices quickly so the car would be ready for pickup the next morning. What was recommended was already discussed with the service adviser. No issues there. Just strange getting a notification like that way after the service was complete. Still overall extremely happy.

I bought my first Nissan Altima brand new from McGavock a little over a year ago. Unfortunately, I was in car accident with a semi and my car was totaled. Luckily I was ok. I worked with a great group of guys D’Andre, David and Jim. They made my first car buying experience great. D’andre took the time to answer all of my silly questions and was patient with me while I changed my mind every 5 minutes.
We delivered a fully functioning 2015 Nissan Leaf to this dealership because we had a problem with our fobs. After four weeks and terrible communication we were finally told our car was repaired and ready to be picked up, along with a hefty bill. When we arrived to pick up the Leaf, we discovered it was covered in hail damage that they did not tell us about…perhaps they thought we wouldn’t notice. We were very upset but were told it was “an act of God” and it was our problem. If they had repaired our car in a timely fashion it wouldn’t have been there when the storm arrived...it would have been protected in our garage. We will definitely avoid this incompetent dealership in the future.
My driver door got stuck shut last night. Came by 11am Saturday and was told Id have to wait until Tuesday. Shouldve at least got my door open so I could get in and out of my car... turns out alot of maximas3have this same problem.

I am sure they dont mind that they lost any business and obviously stand behind Dons ridiculous behavior. There is another Nissan Dealership a few miles North. They will happily take your business.
When to this dealer because the one o. New Braunfels everything is over priced, and is my second time going to Mcgavock Nissan San Marcos this time to program my key fogs fast and mike respond to all my question and give me some info on my warranty!!!! The screenshots speak for themselves on their disgusting customer service. Their employee was extremely rude and sent condescending text messages to me as soon as I mentioned I was no longer interested in purchasing a vehicle. Keep this in mind next time you go to the dealership because they’ll probably treat you the same way. The sad part is you can tell the employee doesn’t even care about their gross and nasty attitude and instead laughs it off. It goes to show that the dealership obviously won’t reprimand them and they’ve probably gotten away with this before.
Shoutout to Issac who helped us out very well. Even though we were unable to purchase a vehicle due to personal reasons Issac helped out at every step of the way and gave us many options to consider. Will definitely consider them next time Im in the market.

It was awesome. I was greeted and told approximate wait time. It was shorter than what he told me. He (Vinny) explained everything, told me what I might need next time as per service contract and suggest I use some coupons. They washed my car and did the tires! I mean, like wow! I left a happy camper and will be back for sure.
My husband and I bought 2 new vehicles from this place in 2019 (not the cheapie vehicles either). We have been fortunate that there have been few warranty-covered issues. I drive an Armada which has a front sensor issue (have to turn the sensors off or they constantly go off). My husband calls yesterday, explains the issue, and was told to schedule an appointment online to bring it in today. We are there at our appointment on-time (we live about an hour away) and they start the process of taking the vehicle back. My husband asks approximately how long they would need my car for to which he recieves a response that it would be 3-4 HOURS until someone could even look at it!!! What is the point of an appointment if they dont even need my car for another 3-4 hours?! If my appointment is at 10:20 and at the earliest, you need my car is 1:20, why not make the appointment at the time you actually need it?!?! Fine, though, whatever. So my husband then asks if we can have a courtesy vehicle so we didnt have sit there for hours doing nothing... to which Mike tells us they will shuttle us (essentially drop us off somewhere)!! Umm no thanks. What new car dealership on this planet doesnt have courtesy vehicles for its customers?! Every car Ive ever needed serviced (even used!!!), I was offered a courtesy vehicle if it was going to take more than an hour or so. Weve had customer service issues with this place from day one which is why we purchased my daughters car at a different Nissan dealership! I will NEVER go back here. Mike also informed us that he doesnt make the rules about the appointments. Id really like to talk to whoever does then. Logistics and scheduling are not their specialties!
Vince was attentive and helpful on the day of service.The next day Robert came to our home to check on a concern we had about what appeared to be leaking brake fluid. He did everything necessary to assure there was not a problem. And, he even cleaned up the leak on the concrete of the garage floor.Also, thank you for the car washes! One each day!

I didn’t buy my Versa from here (purchased from a dealership in Chattanooga) but this is the only place in town I go for all my maintenance to keep my car in top shape on the road. I can’t say enough good things about the friendly and helpful service staff! They always take the time to go over everything step by step so I can make informed decisions about my car’s care, while never being pushy or condescending like some other shops I’ve encountered. They really want you to feel good about the work they are doing and the transparency breeds confidence - something that is pretty hallmark of the Nissan Brand.
In my opinion the service for an oil change for my 2019 Nissan kicks is too expensive at the dealership, however I pay the money knowing that the employees there will service my car correctly.
I came into the dealership to get an oil change and a tire rotation. While I was there one of the men from the service department came out and told me I needed 2 new tires ($308.00) and a few other things that were due to be replaced. I told him my ex would replace the filters and the tires I would get from discount tire. After leaving the dealership and going to discount tire I noticed one of my Nissan pop on hubcaps on the back drivers side had a large piece of plastic knocked out of it close to the edge of the hubcap. No one bothered to tell me that it had been broken or offer to replace it.

He took time and created a PDF document containing all dealership discounts/rebates/amount financed before sending it over to my email address. Our email communications were efficient, effective, and transparent - allowing for an easy process for my wife and I upon arrival at the dealership. Another great service day at McGavock Nissan San Marcos. Mike Riley has always been there with each service visit to help us check in our truck and car. Today was an engine light check and it turns out it needed a new grille shutter. We just passed our warranty by a few days and had a few miles left so he gave us a Goodwill warranty which covered the cost. My husband and I really appreciated being recognized as a valued customer. They always take really good care of us! We moved to Canyon Lake so the Nissan store in New Braunfels is closer but we prefer to stay here because we get awesome service and care every time we come! Thank you all for excellent service to us and our vehicles.Very excellent and quick service. Did not try to sell me things I dont need. Even the owner gets involved and helps you. I love this Hands-On service.

We are extremely happy with the recent service we received from the service department for our Nissan Sentra! I do not have enough kind words to say! Our service rep Mike was incredible, and our technician had the problem diagnosed and fixed in no time, and at a very reasonable price! We took our car in Thursday, and they had the part in and fixed by 2pm the next day! This is the absolute best experience we have ever had at any dealership. We are customers for life now!

I have loved my experience at McGavock Nissan in San Marcos every time I’ve gone! I go for routine maintenance checks and Jacob has helped me the past few times in Service. Me and my husband went on a Sunday to find our next vehicle. We met Kraig and he was so professional and even let us look inside their trucks to see what we wanted in our next vehicle. We made and appt for Monday and that’s when we met Richard. If you ever want to know about the Titan then Richard is your guy. He went above and beyond to show me and my husband every detail about this truck. He was courteous and I would only do business with them next time we get another vehicle. Took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. The team got my vehicle serviced very quickly and allowed me to be in and out within 30 minutes. Vinny was very nice and kept me updated throughout my wait. My experience buying my car here in October 2019 was also amazing. The car salesman was very nice and actually provided me with information that changed my decision on which model to get. The finance manager was personable and provided me with honest information and some very nice rebates. All in all, I would definitely come back to this dealership for future cars.
