Super big shout out to Manger Mike and mechanic Anthony. Theses guys only stay open until 4PM on Saturdays, but the went the extra mile, which makes them extraordinary! Out of their control parts were delayed, but they new we needed our vehicle by Monday. They stayed 3 1/2 hours past closing time to make sure we were taken care of, and we were ready to go! Im just going to say that I trust these people. They do quality work on all my vehicles and they are more cost effective than anywhere else Ive been. I understand they are under new management and obviously they have done a superb job catering and coaching their team to give an extraordinary customer experience. Great job Guys! Ill be back!

I cannot say enough about this auto shop! Theyre always so fast with my oil changes and decided to have my brakes done on Friday. Even with their fully booked schedule, they helped me out and stayed late to finish a job that turned out to be much worse than we thought initially. They continue to go above and beyond and Im so happy with the service and friendliness when I come in. Definitely recommend!

They were wonderful. I would definitely refer them to anyone. As soon as They drove my car in to check the air conditioner one of the guys working on another vehicle saw that my tire had a bubble in it and let me know that I needed to change the tire right away he probably saved my life. I was getting ready to drive into the hill country in Texas the next day.

Been going to San Marcos, Tx Meineke for years. Scott is very pleasant, easy to work with. When I moved to Spokane a few years ago he got my car ready for the trip. We had a pleasant conversation, he’s like a friend to everyone. He said he would really miss me, wished us a good trip. His wife is just like him. True southern hospitality folks.

I took my truck because my exhaust pipes have rusted off. They were able to clearly explain and show me the issues. He discovered some other things that would be a potential problem, but did not hound me about getting it done there, which was greatly appreciated. My truck was going to be in the shop for about 3-4 hours, and Mary gave me a ride home for free! Overall great care and great service from Meineke in San Marcos!

Make sure you tell them what oil you want. Otherwise they give you the expensive one and the lady at the desks lies and says she told you it was recommended. So sad too because I have taken my car there for years. I am not dumb. I know what oil to use. I also would remember a long conversation about what oil was recommended. Lost my business for sure.

Scott thoroughly examined my 2011 Toyota Camry before road trip to Pensacola. He discovered some issues that needed attentionthat may have prevented me from making it safely.

They were extremely nice and very generous with treating customers. They even have a taxi service for people whose cars are in the shop! Will be going here from now on very experienced and trustworthy.

The AC compressor went out in my 2007 Chrysler Sebring. Working as a Lyft driver, i needed to repair the a/c to drive riders in the hot summer. Went to 2 different auto shops the dealership and Firestone, and recieved outrageous repair bills before going to Meineke. Scott worked with me to find away to put in msc. parts in for a cheap price and even offered a credit plan to help with paying. The mechanics Ron and Julio were super knowledgable and proffesional about the work at hand and finished in a timely fashion.

Everything was going fine until my husband saw the technician smoking in our vehicle!

Great place to fix your automovil, fair price and excellent workmanship. I had to repair my complete exhaust sytem because my car was hit by part of a tire that a truck sent to my way and hit my catalitic converter and broke the resonator tube in the route 35 between Austin and San Marcos. We were coming from a long trip from Albany, New York and did not know what to do. We were lucky to fin this repair shop and the couple that own the shop were very friendly and helpful and they deserve a 5 star rating.

I got my oil changed here and the service was great! The staff are friendly and got the job done fast for a great price. I will definitely come back here any time I need service on my car.

I usually do my own spark plugs and coils but this was on my day off and was feeling lazy so i thought i would see what a nearby price would be. quoted me 350$ for a spark plug and coil replacement keep in mind this wasent even for parts just labor since i brought my own idk how they can justify a 350$ labor charge for a at most 1 hour job. trash human beings that try aand rip uneducated people off please dont not go here.

My car needed a inspection. This place close to the tracks downtown San Marcos. I was in and out 5 min. No problems.

Made an appointment to get a muffler swap. When I arrived they could not take my vehicle nor did they know if I could get the vehicle in that day.

Great place! Brought my 2000 Ford Ranger and they fixed up some minor things, but now my truck is running smoother than before! Also, for a very affordable price. They were upfront with me & always asked for permission before they did anything. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Went in for a tire rotation and oil change before a long trip. Was ensured it would be completely looked over and topped off for the trip and ready in about an hour. Three hours later no call, show up and only the tires were rotated. HUGE WASTE OF MY TIME AND NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL.

Now it’s under new management and let me tell you the new manager John is wonderful!!! I felt welcomed and engaged! All of us LADIES had great conversations with not only him but the staff as well and the time just flew by. I was in and out very quickly. Awesome service! I won’t go anywhere else!!!!!

I am so grateful Meineke in San Marcos Texas! They went above and beyond in helping me! I had a horrible exhaust leak that was making me sick! I had a quote from another mechanic who said it was 2 complete bother problems that would have charged me more. The guys stayed 2 hours after closing to help me so I could have my Jimmy for work the next morning. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND MEINEKE SAN MARCOS TX!!! YOU DONT GET SERVICE LIKE THIS ANYMORE . The cost of the repair wasnt even a large amount which impressed me even more that they were willing to stay late. I know they already had a long day and still stayed late to help me. Woke up on a Friday morning and absolutely couldnt turn my steering wheel. After doing some research I figured it was my Power Steering Pump that needed to be replaced. I price checked around to see about how much one would cost if I bought it myself. Then I took it in to the Meineke by my house and basically handed them my keys and they took care of the rest. The guy there was super friendly and even took the time to explain and show me what was wrong with my car. He said he could order the part, itd be delivered within a few minutes. I knew he wasnt over charging me for that part because I had asked around at all the local shops early that day. He even lowered the standard 1.5 hours of labor to 0.5 so that I wasnt paying over what I needed to. I appreciated this mainly because Im a student and money is tight. Definitely will be taking my car back for any future issues!

The guy was good for his word, and got the car done for the price quoted, even though we had to wait a bit for it. He stayed late to finish it, which we appreciated.

Fantastic assistance received this morning. They were efficient and friendly! I took in my vehicle as the A/C was blowing hot. They were able to locate and repair the issue in about 10 minutes (fortunately it was only a blown fuse), which was quick and cheap to replace. Total cost was under $20! Will definitely go there again, and recommend to friends as well.

Some of their prices are a bit higher than other places, but I trust the mechanics. To me its worth it and makes all the difference.

Good friendly service. I went there to for an oil and spark plug change and when I went to pick it up they let me know they had also fixed my hood which before wouldn’t close. I was surprised cause I hadn’t asked them to plus they didn’t charge me for it.

Manager was not very cordial. Took my car in for an oil change had my own oil and filter. Three months ago it cost $20 this time it went up to 33 I asked the manager why did the price go up he said oil prices change from day-to-day. After realizing I had taken my own oil he said New Management. Ive been taking my vehicle there for the last three or four years never had a bad experience. I have been recommending this place to a lot of my friends and family. I guess thats over.

Mr. Scott was more than honest and in my opinion that is a very rare case when it comes to auto repair shops. I had been quoted over $700 at the initial place I brought my car to, I paid $300 at Meineke. I was being told my car needed things when in reality it didnt. Very appreciative for the honesty and extremely quick turnaround. Will absolutely recommend and return.

The customer service was good. I asked to get a wheel alignment but I didnt see any adjustments on my front wheels. The camber was way off. I wish I could get a reimbursement . I was not satisfied with the work.

They will lie to and mess up your car when there is really nothing with car from the beginning and thats thousands of dollars comes out of your pocket just like what happened to me. Avoid this place at all cost. I know enough about cars to tell them to replace and fix my car. They dont listen to the customers.If you want to be lied and have hundreds or thousands of dollars stolen ask for john. I dont know what they did to my car i spent a total of $2,000 on getting my car repaired and the engine light is still on now i had to buy a whole new car getting my car repaired again by a different mechanic isnt worth the money. Thank you john now i have to get a lawyer to see if i can get my money back

I took my car in because it was overheating. They called said they fixed it I picked it up and headed to Dallas. It overheated 🥵. When I called I asked if they fixed the overheating problem. They said it did not over heat on them then what did they fix?!? The second time around they tried to make up for it. Told me when to pick it up when I came to pick it up they said they were putting something else on and it wasn’t ready. They said someone should have called. No one did. They AGAIN said it was fixed. IT’S. NOT!!! I am taking it somewhere else. Very disappointed 😔

I purchased front brakes at the San marcos Texas location and they squeaked as soon as I left there and its almost 2 years later and they are still squeaking. Been back at least 4 or 5 times and they say one thing do another and then its still the same . To me it looks like the employees there get paid to pretend to know what they are doing . All in all I wouldnt choose this place for car work . They SUCK !

Terrible experience! I feel like they promised to fix the problem and created four more, then tried to charge me three times the normal price. Had to pay $600 for a broken truck just to have it towed to someone reputable that could actually fix the problem...for $800 cheaper than the quoted price. NEVER AGAIN

I first came here because my brakes were squealing and i wanted to get the problem fixed. They said they examed all of my brakes and couldnt find the problem. The guy said he lightly cleaned my rotors and that should solve the problem. Long story short, they lied. My brakes still squeaked and when i took it to Brake Check they said i needed new brake pads and rotors resurfaced. SIMPLE! They even showed me where i clearly needed this done, and that if Meineke had actually examed the brakes they would have seen that. How hard is it for these guys to just do there job?

Should not even get one star at first very friendly was gonna get bearing job done on my 3500 that was gonna cost me 1900.00 in all. Got a call back that it was worse than expected and that I was gonna be needing new rear ends roughly 6000.00 dollars now. So I declined I could get em done way cheaper somewhere else, mechanic became very rude on phone with me guy upfront as well so either way was told that there was gonna be a year down charge of 150.00 I said ok. So after being told this I show up and now they are charging me 358.00 dollars which I think was a rip off I advise everyone to make sure what y’all are being told when showing up they tell you what u wanna hear and if u decline work they become very unprofessional. I will be contacting corporate as well.

I brought them my 1995 Buick Riviera and my 2010 Cadillac SRX for various service and repairs the past month. They did take a while to get the problems taken care of, but I greatly appreciate that they took the time to fix what was wrong and fixed it right. Great service and a good solid fix cant be rushed when your dealing with something as important as an Automobile Repairs and Maintenance. The owner Mr. Scott Cromer was very friendly, and his staff was as well. Very satisfied customer and will continue to come for my Auto Repair needs.

Super friendly and fast

I have gone to Meineke to change my oil with no problems until yesterday, 7/19/2019. Made an online appt for 11:00. Arrived before 11:00. Took the guy more than 5 minutes to check me in. At 12:30 my oil still had not been changed. The guy starts to tell me my oil pan is leaking, which I know it isnt, says my differential is off, and they are checking my transmission. I tell the guy, I came in for an oil change and nothing else. I have a new transmission, my oil pan is not leaving any signs of oil on the driveway, and I dont even know what a differential is. But I do know there is nothing wrong with my car since AAMCO services my car. I am really disappointed with Mieneke and will have to find somewhere else to get my oil change within 15 minutes of arriving.

Always receive great service at this location. Staff is always in a positive mood and the work is always spot on.

Been coming to this location for years. The proprietor, Scott, is approachable and friendly, efficient amd knowledgeable about American, Japanese and European car models. He runs a tight shop, the turnover is relatively fast and when they fix something it works.

The staff were nice and the manager/owner took time to talk to the patrons in the waiting area. He spoke to many of us about topics ranging from the weather, statistics on car safety and house plants.

The service there was crappy the guy that worked the front desk just walked off when we were next in line and once he got back it was like 10 min later then we gave him our information. He says it was a 30 to 45 min wait tops... It took him 2 hours until he took the car!!!! Then it took him almost another hour just to do a simple 10 min oil change and we were losing our patients of that place and we will never go back to that place ever

This business deserves zero stars. After repairing my car, I had to have it towed and taken back to Meineke to be fixed once again. The first time I went the owner Scott and the manager were rude and made me feel uncomfortable, and also talked down to me for showing up late from work to retrieve my vehicle. The second time I went to retrieve my car, I took my keys and walked out not engaging with them because I wished to leave quickly. Scott then proceeded to come after me insisting he show me how to check my oil since I didnt know how. I stated I was not interested and was leaving, then he threatened to call the cops since I Did not want to listen and to get off of his property. This was AS I WAS GETTING INTO MY CAR TO LEAVE AND AM NO WAY A THREAT TO THESE GROWN MEN BEING A 21 YEAR OLD WOMAN.

Used to go here for all repairs but never EVER going back after my recent experience with new manager. Tried to charge me an insane amount because I am a young woman with no car experience. Luckily my brother who is a technician stopped me from making a horrible decision and wasting about $1200 on a problem that could be fixed for $300 or less. I am so pissed at being treated this way. I am a mom with bills of my own. Dishonesty is sickening and will do nothing but bring you negative karma! May great spirit bless you with compassion.

Will did a great job installing my cat back exhaust on my 05 Tiburon. We made it work and the welds appear very good. They listened to my concerns about the installation and worked around the rot that was my exhaust. We ended up cutting the second flex pipe off welding a new one on and stalling the pipes from there. Kind and accomodating service.

Chose this place because of the coupon I got in the mail. I made a reservation to have my front brakes replaced a week in advance. It took over 4 hours to do this job that would have taken most shops under an hour. I spent half my day here for a simple job! And it wasnt just me - the girl before me spent 2 hours before they even diagnosed her brake problem. While I was waiting, I overheard the manager talking about all the personnel problems theyve been having, too. Ive been to many places in San Marcos and this was my worst experience. Ill never come back.

Terrible service both times Ive been here. The first time I came here for an oil change, I left with an oil leak. Turns out they punctured the oil container. I came back and asked them to fix it or reimburse me, they refused. The second time I came here, they were apart of a coupon deal that I had. They refused to honor the coupon and sent me away. Terrible terrible service and managerment.

Im a michigan boy passing through staying in Austin when engine light came on. Scott and Will (father and son) were honest and forthright. Being an out of towner Scott could have taken advantage of the moment and my experience is that could have degenerated quickly. Straight shooters was my experience. Salt of the earth types that are upfront. They have a business to run but if I ever need a honest opinion of whats wrong with my truck they (Scott and Will) have earned first right to refusal. Service rep was very rude!! Wouldnt give me a quote over phone. He told me fee estimate if I come in. I explained to him I know exactly what I needed and just wanted a simple quote for brake pads and new rotors. My rotors are shot. He then told me Just do it yourself if you know whats wrong please stay away!!

If i could give this business no stars i would. The man who works at the front has made me feel uncomfortable twice now and also spent his time hitting on my friend when she went here. The whole time was trying to hit on me. Im 24. Hes at least in his 40s. The level of professionalism is non existent also they completely over filled my oil and told me my car needs and new valve cover gasket (was totally fine before i brought it in) ended up on the side of the road that night and had to get towed home. I have filed a corporate complaint and i am waiting for a resolution. Never go here unless you want to get creeped on and have to get towed home. I went in for a simple oil change...

Well sorry about the confusion but have two names this one but the one I used is Michael white and I was coming into San Marcos and my cars lights were flickering from park to drive when I had it in drive and plus could not take the key out of the ignition that was the main problem because of the sensor not picking it up when it was in park it would not allow me to take it out so I called these guys up and they helped me out a ton Scott and his son are great at what they do and helped me getting back to Corpus Christi thanks guys !

Porky prices - I went in for a problem with my AC. The manager, Scott, said he was going to work with me on the price and quoted me a couple hundred dollars less than another quote. Then we went we to go pick up the car he charged us that same extra couple hundred dollars saying that it needed more work than he anticipated. Did not call to verify this was okay and would not give us the keys unless we paid him. Clearly a horrible business practice, I should have called the cops.

Theyve always worked well with me and have continuously provided excellent customer service during every visit.

This location was very inconsiderate. Make sure when you make an appointment, you go in person to the location itself. The 517 number posted online does not work. And the 738 number can make an appointment, but it doesnt matter because what they can see isnt accurate. Very disappointed. Ill have to think about giving this location another chance.
