Its weird to claim a FedEx as a gem in the San Jose downtown, but thats exactly what this place is. As a student and then a working professional, Ive been going here for years to get my printing and mailing handled dependably and efficiently.Odd custom services - like laminating 3-foot banners - are no problem for the flexible staff here, who have always been shockingly friendly and knowledgeable.Ill never forget how, in a mad last minute rush to get a bunch of printing done, I had arrived here and realized I had forgotten my bike lock at home. A staff member was firm in the policy that bikes could not come in the store, but he saw I was in a bind and instead offered to stand outside with it and keep watch while I handled my business inside. Truly above and beyond.Do I wish FedExs rates were lower? Sure, as I do with most chains. However, the staff here make this store one to count on.
My experience today at this location was below my expectations. Went for a passport photo for my 12 year old, and they told me they dont do kids! I had done pictures for him at a different location (Winchester and Hamilton), but the employee refused, claiming the camera would not center well the picture of a child. First time I hear such a thing. Totally unhelpful.
I had a package should be delivered today, it is priority overnight. I received an email from FedEx at 8:46am said the package was out for delivery. Somehow I received a text message at 1:39pm said the package is pending for pick up. I was so shocked, the driver did not deliver, he even not knocked my door.So I called FedEx Customer Service, in the beginning, the representative said will request the facility re-deliverthe package today. He even asked me my phone number. 30 minutes later, I called again, since no one from the facility called me. But the representative changed their attitude and said this package no option for delivery. They even changed the travel history on the website. I could not see out for delivery anymore. I ended up picking up the package on my own since it is medicine.Do you have an express package that you need to pick up on your own, no delivery at all? This is so ridiculous! I will never use FedEx again!
Rude service from the older woman here. I was refused service to ship my package because I don’t have an ID card. What kind of place requires an ID to ship something? The post office down the block never asked for something like that and they’re part of the government
I used various services at this store - copying, scanning, printing and shipping. Except for scanning, rest of the services I used were easy to use. The staff was also helpful. The scanning is little inconvenient to use in the self-serve printers available. At one point, the system just stopped working. There is paid-street parking available in the front of the store and near-by.
I asked them to send my parcel on Fedex Priority Overnight and they delivered my package after 2 days. So I asked them to consider my delivery as a 2 day delivery and return my money and they simply rejected. Worst experience. Bad service.
This place scams people. They charge service fees without notifying customers. Theres several cases before and you can see them in reviews.I personally encountered once last week. They said they would tape the box for me, not mentioning that would be an additional $8! I trusted them too much and didnt pay attention to my receipt. lol I can get 5 rolls of tape with 8 bucks. They are just STINGY people who DISRESPECT their customers
This is my favorite store. The staff is always super helpful and jobs are always on time.
I had a very bad experience to this location. The employee was not helpful and talked me in an unprofessional way which makes me to never go there and suggest my friend to don’t go too. Whoever is in charge of this location, please pay a little bit attention.
Absolutely the best of Fedex/Kinkos for printing. Nav works at this location currently and after four other locations were unable to help, he saved the day. My laptop was stolen the week prior and I had to have a poster ready for a conference the 1.7GB file was a monster that Nav conquered single handed, after several other locations and two other design shops were unable to help. Without help from Mac I would have never had the poster ready, not would we have won an award! Thank you Nav for playing such a significant role in award-winning materials! We couldnt have done it without you!
Awesome service, very courteous and professional. Only big problem; located in a very high bike theft area. As my bike is my primary vehicle, I cannot afford to lock my bike outside. Corporate policy, as such, highly restricts my ability to visit this store. There are MANY homeless, students, low income individuals, dependent on bicycles, who can be considered lost business. FedEx needs to consider policy exceptions based on demographics.
The location is dark and sketchy. Theres now a mattress directly in the front of the building that a homeless person sleeps within. But this is not why stars are removed from my review. Its because I am not pleased with the staff. I dont like their greetings and attitude during our exchange. It comes across as sarcastic, disingenuous, and as though they really wish they (and perhaps I) were not there. Effectively, their soft skills need to be improved.
Horrible customer service. Went in for a printing job and the employee who assisted me was not courteous at all he directed me to the xerox machine but was not helpful after that. I had additional questions but the employees were congregated in the back chatting so I couldnt easily get their attention. Finally I was able to get one of the employees over to the xerox machine but he wasnt through atall and walked away not ensuring all my questions had been answered. I guess the virus is making everyone lazy right now. The place should just be ran by robots because the employees are useless.
The place is nice and professional. The employees are kind and have great customer service skills. But be careful they might scam you. I came in to quickly mail something in a hurry. The manager quoted me 60-80 dollars to overnight a package. I came back 20 minutes later to have the same package overnighted. An employee charged me 25. Not cool at all.
Saved my butt twice by printing signs quickly for a conference. Very professional printers, very satisfied with the result.
Should have listened to others. I packed everything nicely in a FedEx next-day box. The lady with the grey hair says “it needs a bit more padding.” Then she rips off a 8x10 piece of bubble wrap and puts it in the box. After I pay for the shipment, I look at the receipt and it says $7 for packaging. I look behind me and there is a big roll of bubble wrap for $5. I tell her she should be ashamed of ripping me off and get no comment back. If she had any training or common sense about customer service then either she wouldn’t have charged me for a small piece of bubble wrap or asked me to buy the big roll for $5. Shame Fedex Shame!
So I just finished a 52 page document and I need to have it printed in a presentable manor for court. I have a Canon Pixma PRO 100 photo printer, and some other cheaper all in one Canon for documents right here at home. I needed something in between those however so I headed off to the local Kinko’s (because that’s what they’ll always be to me). We walk in to the location at 93 east San Carlos, and proceed to walk up to the counter. When I tell the employee I need to print a document, he ushers me off to the self serve printers I tried to protest saying I wanted to have a binding put on them, etc but we’re sent off to fumble our way through the process while the employee played on his phone. The results were worse than I could have accomplished without leaving the house. The paper was so thin that you could see right through it making it unreadable. I ask for a refund so I can find a location that has an employee that want’s to actually work and help a customer. The employee is about as capable at issuing a refund as he was at helping us in the beginning which is not at all. We settle on re-printing the document. He hands it back still see through and now printed single sided which the original one was done double sided. Of course he didn’t ask any questions, try to do any tests etc to know what we wanted or needed. The whole time his personal phone was ringing and when it did stop it was only long enough for the store phone to ring. Yes you could tell it was a personal call.I spent just over $100 and wasted 30 min not including travel time to end up with a worthless pile of paper, and only the knowledge I’m done using this location.Since we still have an upcoming court case and I still want a chance as re-cooping some money, we headed off to the next closest “Kinkos”. This time the location in The Alameda. Here we are greeted by Jazmin. She was able to get a name tag on this morning, so we were already one step ahead of the random kid working at the last spot. We explained to her what we wanted. Went over a couple of samples, and settled on a paper weight that would work. Now I have confidence that I have a set of 3 documents being printed that will be just what I asked for. If it were up to me I would fire the kid playing on his phone and hand the money to Jazmin. She seems to be at work to actually work, which is very much appreciated by those people walking in trying to pay for a service.
Simple, if you close your store at 6p, don’t say you’re open until 9p on Google. Billions of people use Google maps. Get it together.
Airline lost my poster so I had to get something printed quickly. They allowed me to email them the PDF since I didnt have a thumb drive and quickly quoted me a price and a pickup time. Emailed me as soon as the poster was printed (in only about an hour, much faster than the quoted pickup time). Poster looks good (I went with the more expensive option, was about 100 dollars after tax for a 4x3 poster), and it was about 20 dollars cheaper than the price quoted to me by the UPS store inside the convention center.
Brought in a set of 46 documents for a US District Court Judge, and one of the entirely apathetic employees decided to take her sweet time copying documents that should have taken less than 45 minutes. I kid you not, she was copying single pages (mind you, a 1000+ page set) on the copier and taking leisurely meanders between the copier and the counter. What an embarrassing show for a FedEx mere walking distances from one of the biggest consumers of paper in the Bay Area.
Employee interrogated me for a few minutes then threatened to tamper with my package because I wouldnt tell her exactly what was in it other than repeating several times that it wasnt liquid, perishable, or hazardous. It was painfully obvious that she was trying to get an idea of the value of what was in there, and I cant think of a reason why that doesnt involve theft. Be very, very careful if are dropping off packages at this FedEx location, or save yourself the worry and take them elsewhere.
Needed passport photos...the staff was professional, friendly and fast.
Ive meet some the nicer staff before, but theres one time where everyone including the manager were rude and condescending. I was dropping off an international package with prepaid shipping label. I used Electronic Trade Documents with Fedex for my custom forms. It was printed on the label as ETD but the staff refused to accept the package because to them I didnt have a custom form for my package. They insisted that they needed the physical copy. They went extra miles describing me what a custom form looks like because they thought I didnt know and refused to listen that the custom forms were stored electronically on their system. They told me to go to the distribution center instead. The whole ordeal would have been fine if they didnt sound condescending, the details were ridiculous. Anyway, I went to the distribution center at dado st and everything was fine, they accepted my package with no issue. I asked the distribution center how come the other fedex place wouldnt accept it and he said they probably didnt know what theyre doing :( :( :( so proceed with cautious if you come to this place with an ETD packing slip. Go to the distribution center directly and save yourself 40 minutes. Maybe some of these people didnt get paid enough to care about their customers.
I am a regular customer that comes here on the daily dropping off FedEx packages for my work. I know the staff here and they know me. However that doesn’t stop them from trying to up sell me and overcharge me for packing every time something needs to be packed. Without asking me, they charge $3.99 for a small amount of brown paper to stuff in a box, and I didn’t ask for the paper in the first place. They say it is their policy to do that. To make it worse, the manager confirmed that this is their policy to charge for packing without asking. This has happened twice now. If you’re just dropping off a package or making a copy, this center is fine. However if you have to ask for help packing, well…I would not recommend it.
They young white guy fed ex employee was more on the negative side as far helping me. Like, you can, I wont, I dont know if you can, the big box that you bring might not go through. But other customer came in and he like help them with more of a yes attitude. So i went home got my box that i was going to ship, I went to another FedEx store 975 The Alameda #40 San Jose, CA 95126. They treated me so nice there. It was more like ...Yes we can help you, sure we can attitude :-)
Helpful employee...
While traveling - I needed to have some documents scanned and emailed. As I explained this, I also explained I was late for a plane (in a hurry) and without a computer. Girl #1 was very rude and unaccommodating, shortly informed me she couldnt assist with my needs (by doing this for me), pointed to the computers in the rear of the store and said - read the directions.I told her - at home, my business center could scan the documents and email them to the destinations from their scanner/copier and noted it only takes about a minute. She said it was impossible and recommended I purchase a flash stick to download my documents onto and then go to the rear of the store to accomplish what I wanted.Girl #2 at the store interrupted - she couldnt figure out how to run copies and they traded places and I was handed off. Re-start story. Flash drive sold to me and I was again rudely told to go to the rear of the store and follow directions, even though I repeated I was late and basically computer handicapped.I gave up when I was starred at and told they wouldnt help me.I went to Staples and explained what I needed. in less than 2 minutes, I was out of their store with a great customer service experience. What customer support and service! Ill be shopping at Staples once I complete my move and will NEVER use a Kinkos again. This store was PATHETIC!
The dude who helped me was nice enough, but clearly had no clue what he was doing. I tried to get something printed and laminated for class that I had formatted EXACTLY how the examples (which were all printed and laminated in the same format mind you), and the guy said most places wont print that.To add insult to injury there is literally a kinkos (which is the same company as fedex so its not like he was trying to lie to deny competetors service) 2 blocks away that will print exactly what I needed printed, and the guy did not tell me it was there.
Very helpful staff, place also opens till late so you dont have to rush here after getting off from work.
I want to give a shoutout to Brian who helped me finish my printing and project. I had no success at Blossom Hill Fedex which had better equipment. Brian accepted all requests and even helped personalize my binding which i have not seen from other stores. He did a fantastic job and the project looks amazing!
One of the worst Fed Ex locations I have ever printed at. Wanted posters printed but was directed to self service machines. Self Service Machine was not properly aligned, all images tiled. was moved to another machine but attendant told customer behind me to use the broken machine that I just used. New machine printed all images on glossy paper but ink came off, was told to bring it for refund. Never given refund, because I had printed my receipt did not give me warning about not printing receipt. when ask for email I can send complaint to, lady at counter said the email will just go to me so it will not work.tl;dr. none of printers were calibrated properly. all posters ruined. no refund. attendant was lazy and refused help/refund.
Slow and a little disorganized. When told i was printing a resume for an interview I was having soon after the gentleman seemed indifferent and truly took his time. (No personalized service)
On Friday, October 2nd, I arrive at 8:59pm with an important prepaid, pre-addressed envelope. All I had to do was hand it over, it was ready to go. As I walked up to the door, a young clerk quickly walked up to the door and locked it. The store closes at 9pm. Through the door I informed him the package was already to go. He said, sorry, were closed. I said, come on man, this is important...its ready to go. He said, come back tomorrow. The assistant manager was behind the desk so I pleaded with him. He walked over and said, Were closed. I pleaded with him but he just smiled at me, flipped me off, turned his back and walked away. I was shocked to say the least. Apparently this is how this particular FedEx store likes to treat customers.
Very clean and well maintained office, very friendly and efficient (e.g. they pull out the package I was picking up fast) stuff. Was pleasantly surprised.
Did not enjoy my experience this morning one bit. The employee that was at the store was not helpful at all. I needed to get some PDFs printed and I was blocked from doing so. I had asked the employee for some help and she responded by saying, “oh well its blocked” and returned to her screen. If it werent for a random guy who took time to help me with the issue, i would have not gotten my documents.
Some of the most helpful and attractive employees I have ever seen at any establishment- ever!
I printed a poster with them. They were fast, knowledgable and polite.
This place is super efficient and accurate.got my order without a problem
If I can choose no star, I would! Horrible, the manager is horrible, lazy! nobody wants to come to help you, they would stay inside walk around pretending how busy they are and stand you there for over fifteen minutes until you wonder if you are simply invisible in their store.....and they lost our package! Our package was supposed to arrive the next day at 10am, they sent our package to somewhere else and the manager gave me all these bs excuses as if there was nothing to do with them that they lost our package!
Wouldnt ship with my valid prepaid label because the box I used had another carriers logo on it....I put duct tape over it an dropped it off at another FedEx. Unbelievably stupid people working here.
Everyone was kind. They werent able to ship my package since it was USPS, but the guy was nice enough to pring out the shipping label for me. :)
The stuff are helpful and friendly.
Very bad service I asked the African American lady to help me with the copy machine and she replied she cant coz she has to go home
Doesnt exist
I would like to show my gratitude to FedEx delivery guy for going beyond his call of duty to use the dolly and carry a heavy exercise equipment up our driveway instead of leaving it by the gate as other people did.His first name is Adam and his supervisors are Pam and Jeff.Thank you Adam and FedEx.Hung Ngo
Great customer service.
Dont come here if youre in a hurry. This is possibly the slowest FedEx on the planet.
Employees are friendly. Place is little dirty with flies flying around in the shop.
Staff is very efficient and helpful.
If you are printing smaller than 8.5x11 go somewhere else
This place was terrible and nothing that i wanted to do here was availabe on what they said they can do do not go here the people who work here talk to you like they know you with a very bad attitude
