Very pleasant and professional place. The manager was cordial and helped us get what we wanted. Not pushy at all. I wish places like this get more business. Through music, they provide a much needed support for our society.
Staff and service here are always great. They almost always have what we want and always have the things we need.
Helpful staff and good selection of instruments.
The service was good and the employees were super helpful and nice. The store has a cozy vibe as well.
Nice music shop
Smaller and friendly music store. The staff are super helpful when deciding on a new instrument (for a beginner like myself, there was no pressure and no weird up selling) Thanks!
This place is great. With my experience, the staff know just about everything you ask them about, and they have a great selection of sheet music. Some of the instructors they have are fantastic as well. I appreciate the expertise they have, especially with brass instruments, as I play the cornet. They have great instruments to purchase and most things you would need in different instrument categories. Overall a 10/10 store, great job!
Very helpful, wonderful service in my time of rental need, and a no hassle return. My deposit was credited back without any issues. Instrument met our needs. I definitely recommend this location!
I was in the market to purchase a trumpet. So I spoke with the Music Village. They gave me some ideas on what to get. Doing my due diligence, I did some supplemental research on the Internet. I decided to buy from them because they offer maintenance and servicing. I also appreciated their help in suggesting a good student trumpet, along with helping me answer to age-old dilemma, rent or buy. I use this as an example that Internet shopping isnt always the right thing.
Always very friendly and helpful people when I come creed its a bit small. Could use a little bit of updating. But the help and the service you get his great the selection was pretty decent and returns and repairs and music lessons seem to be right on par with whatever I would want. I would highly
Came in to get my stuck mouthpiece out and get some valve work done on my Euphonium and the quality of service here is outstanding! Very professional and genuine people! Will be coming back here for sure!
I like this store for music and instrument. Few months ago my 8-year ole daughter started flute lessons. They found a curved-joint flute for her to start on. It is much easier for her to play. We were glad to rent it for her so that she would not be discouraged to play it because her neck and arms are small for a regular joint.
This place is like a second home for me. I love this place because of the outstanding costumer service and the great prices. All of the employees are so friendly, and theyll go out of their way to help you with almost anything.
Very good collection of musical instruments. They also offer lessons which has decent little rooms. We had multiple visits to the store and we were always helped by store staff.
Came in to have my stuck mouthpiece removed and have some work done on sticky valves for my euphonium and I couldn’t be any happier with the results! Top notch work guys thanks!!
Good service
Been shopping here for years for my music stuff. There used to be this long haired rocker guy named John who would clean up my guitar and tune it up for me every time I came in. He looked like an old guitarist from the 60s... cool guy but he left long ago.
Got my first ukulele here. The staff were very nice and kind, they helped find one that would be good for me and I love it. Very good people and service here.
We go here for all of our music needs! My son has his guitar strings replaced and tuned here, his Trombone tuned up and we had a quick repair on his spit valve done here. Everyone that works here is extremely knowledgeable and friendly!Shop here, they support Santa Teresa High School Music!
Very friendly staff, willing to go the extra mile. Rented a Trombone, smooth and fast. They have everything you need for all of your instruments.
Always helpful. Ordered a book for me and followed up to let me know when it had arrived. Thank you
Fast and easy. Got a rental instrument in less than 15 min.
Many years ago I used to dread going to the guitar store something which doesnt sound quite right even to this day. At the time the only SHOWCASE in town was a shop that seemingly had everything except for manners and appreciation of their customers. That is of course unless you were somebody who was going to spend thousands of dollars at a time then you were considered to be worthy of their store. I got fed up with the store so much that I began to search for other stores in the area because I just couldnt consciously give them my business anymore. Living in South San Jose at time I was absolutely shocked to discover that there was a music store right around the corner from where I lived. Music Village on Santa Teresa Road was an absolute breath of fresh air. As soon as I walked through the door I was not only greeted immediately but treated like I had been a customer for years. With just enough selection to keep you interested but not so much to make your head spin in circles the store offered something very unique and very rare. The warmth and helpfulness of everyone who worked at the store was just amazing. I was in absolute shock at the different feel that the store had. Years later when I moved to Santa Clara I discovered that they had a second shop on Foxworthy. Once again walking into that store not only was I greeted and treated like a human being but it was also nice to see some of the same faces that had adorned the other store on Santa Teresa. I cannot say enough about these stores and the people that run them. If you are a student of music beginner or otherwise or a musician looking for a store that will cater to your needs with dignity and respect then you couldnt possibly find two better stores. I have never regretted a purchase from either one of these stores not once. I have never once felt like I was giving my money to some big business that could care less whether I buy something from them or not nor have I been treated badly because I decided not to buy something that day. These stores are great and they contain something that has so very much been lost. The warmth of good people. Not only do I feel a tremendous amount of loyalty towards Music Village but I also feel almost indebted to them for not only helping me throughout the years but for making me feel welcome and putting up with my needs and wants. I believe the word is gratitude.Thank you to everyone and for everything.Sincerely, John Silvers
Helpful, friendly & knowledgeable. Prices are a bit on the higher side.. higher than amazon.
Friendly workers, really helpful and knowledgeable about all things musical
The have good recommendations about which alto sax I should get. Very helpful, and great customer service.
Overall staff could be a bit friendlier and way more professional. To start, the older gentlemen working here can be a bit stuffy. Once I asked one of the guys behind the counter who was ringing me up(short dark blonde hair, blue eyes, about mid 20s/30s[not the guy with a beanie]) if he could process payment for two items separately(I am a teacher and frequently purchase books for my students and have their parents reimburse me), and he loudly let out an exasperated sigh, letting me know he was clearly annoyed, then asked if he could just make two copies of my receipt in a somewhat indignant tone. There is also one very elderly gentlemen who is very, very quiet and seems to not like eye contact and/or smiling. An incident I should also mention is that once when I paid at the counter, a different male employee(I believe his name is Luis) told me I was very beautiful as he handed me my items and receipt. It made me extremely uncomfortable because I am not there to find a date, nor am I interested. Very unprofessional and neither the time or the place. As a teacher, I just want to be able to take my time browsing the store comfortably without worrying about whether an employee is eyeing me. That was the last straw for me-being that this is the closest sheet music store to me at a 20 min drive, it was pretty much my only choice aside from the Branham location. However, nowadays I make the extra effort to drive 15 more mins. to the Branham location instead-friendlier staff, and I dont have to worry about employees checking me out while Im browsing the shop.
This is s good place to go get or rent an instrument.
