I walked in with another girlfriend on Thursday for dinner and there were only a few tables full. I asked for recommendations and our young and friendly waiter with blonde highlights (shout-out for good service!) suggested Bun Dau Mam Tom (fried tofu, fishcake and steamed pork with special sauce (fermented fish and pineapple?) - he said 9 out of 10 parties order this. However, Im not a huge fan of the sauce and wanted something grilled. So we decided on Bun Nem Cha Dac Biet, which came with grilled pork, pork cake and fried wonton wrappers with a sweat sauce.+ For $36 you get so much food. We finished half and I shared the leftover with another person (so it feeds 4 people total)-pork needs to be cut thinnerOverall it was a great experience, I cant say anything bad about using your hands and making your own rolls.Tip:1) Come with a group of at least 3-4 people if you want to order a specialty dish2) Ask for some chopped red chili to add some kick to your rolls
This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. The service is horrible and the food is old. I waited 45 minutes to get my order taken and another 1 hour 1/2 for my order to arrive. The food was old and tasted disgusting. Ill never go back to this restaurant.
We like a lot to go out. Last night we went to this magnificent place which we didn’t know before. We spent a lovely experience there with first-rate food and a professional stuff and a professional cuisine. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we will surely return soon. We highly recommend.
Good bun dau mam tom. Food came out quick and look like people are coming here for bun dau. Service could be improved. There were 2 people serving and the waitress was on phone the whole time. We found a worm in our fresh veggie. They did not do a good job cleaning the herbs and salad.
Exceptional food, friendly employees, always awesome character. They charge fair pricing and the food quality is very good. Keep it up.
I ordered a salt and pepper shrimps with tamarind sauce. The shrimps were neither de-veined or peeled. The tamarind sauce was good but made it difficult (since it is sticky) and messy to peel the shrimps. Plenty of good Vietnamese restaurants to chose from on Story Road. I would not pick this one.
Good Vietnamese coffee shop, nice breakfast and a little bit of crowded for getting a parking space if you dont mind.
Good food at good price but service needs to improve
Very good dishes. Authentic flavor.
Bun Dau Mam Tom is very good here.
This place was okay:-my brother wanted a steak and the server didnt ask how well done and instead my brother got an extreme rare. im not even joking. it was red, like REALLY RED. he could have gotten food poisoning :((-i ordered the garlic french fries and i thought the garlic would be fried with the fries and instead it was a dip :(( dip wasnt even good.-should have more condiment bottles. server kept asking to take my brothers steak sauce-a bit overpriced-food took long. i ordered the french fries, which is an appetizer. the french fries came out as the same time as the steak, which is an entree.overall, if there was no other options, this place would be the other reason id come.
The service was very bad. We came in and ordered our food but waited for about 30 minutes. We kept asking about our order status but no answer, the 3rd time we asked and one of the waiters said our order was way behind and would take another 30 minutes. We were so upset and walked out. Don’t go to this place.
Good place to kill time and watch people
If you would like to try something a little more unique Vietnamese food, then bun dau mam tom should be in that list. bun dau mam tom – Vietnamese fermented shrimp paste noodle. To create the best sauce, mam tom is blended with lime, sugar and chili peppers, creating an ultimate balance of salty, sweet, sour and spicy. It tastes amazingWith a large space and quite comfy tables, this place serves the best bun dau mam tom . If you like to try bun dau mam tom, you definitely come here.
A typical Asian cafe. The food is good, the staff is friendly, the selection is varied. The have a decent wine selection.
This place is absolutely good! My dad even made friends with the owner!
The bathroom is horrendous the setting of the restaurant is great. You should be eating there with doubts in mind if you catch my drift.
Fun place to stop for a snack & have a Viet. Coffee. Outdoor seating.
Nice location! They served food and drink! Waitress very kind!
Hard to find parking. But convenient
Sttong vietnamese cafe in mix restaurant and bar setting.
Food was not to bad.
Theyre old people out there. Foods too expensive cost.
Good food
Quiet
Many Vietnamese here
Sat for 15 minutes without being approached by any wait staff. Not even for water. Saw a waitress take orders from a table that sat after us. Thats when we decided to leave. Food might be good but we wouldnt know because they couldnt be bothered to take our order
I order vermicelli with shrimp paste. Noodle soup. Dried noodles. Noodles are better than many restaurants. But the vermicelli is too salty and not very strong. Dried noodles have no taste at all. I have suggestions with the person who charges me. Probably the owner of the shop, because the dress is luxurious, she stared at me blankly and then looked away, unconcerned. Everyone eat, remember to avoid those 2 dishes. What else is bad, I dont know.
Tom delicious bun mam day
