Yesterday 10/31/21, The supervisor in this store, she is very rude, she yelled at the cashier in front of us because we used small bag (just one) for frozen food. That made my mom afraid & scared
One top Asian grocery markets in San Jose, California. I have shopped groceries here for more than 15 years. The market is loaded with lots of fresh produces, frozen and live seafood, local farm raised and imported. With US and world market economy, you can almost find any item for your cultural food in here. Also, you can reach Indian market and Sprout Market nearby in walking distances in case you need to fulfill something extra to enrich your meals. This market is mostly nearby for zipcodes 95148, 95122, 95121, .. and some more in less than 10 minutes drives.
Super dirty market. Too Asian. I only went buy Hennessy OX and go home lol
Decent selection,good service
Cleaner than most Asian super market, have a decent meat and seafood selection however their price are way higher than other supermarket in the area. I like to come here for chicken as they let you hand select it and their chicken carcass are not frozen. They need to clean up and make sure they aren’t moldy.
Ailes are narrow and its difficult to move if someone stops in the middle.
Nice people willing to help with limited English
Basic Asian grocery market. Poorly stocked, things on shelves and floor. Appears dirty in many areas or unclean. Spotted someones frozen drinks from neighboring store in end case freezer on one of the checkouts. I mentioned it to the cashier and she just said Ok and continued to scan our items without giving it any more attention (dont know if it was addressed as it was no by the time we left the store). The only reason youd shop here is because they carry something you couldnt find elsewhere or had a cheaper priced item you needed to have. Other than that, most common foods are fairly priced. This is my 3rd visit to this stores location in over a decade because it was convenient.
If I can give a negative zero I would! Super disrespectful to my husband, he was the only non asian in the store and they kept ignoring him. The seafood counter guy was ignoring and skipping him and finally my husband just asked do you carry a certain fish, and he yelled NO! Never has he ever experienced such rude service at a market! Never coming back here!
A great variety of fresh seafood.
Good place clean
Some of the aisles are narrow, but this is the best asian market for veggie meats and soup base in the south bay area. Ive been able to make veggie pho, bun rieu, hi rieu, and more. They have the essential vietnamese vegetables, but not a huge selection overall.
Small market but Fresh fishes. Not much variety in veggies but many types of sauces.
Was ignored by the staff repeatedly, left without buying anything.
Nice sized Asian market. Fresh produce, meat, seafood. Loads of canned foods and condiments, etc. I was looking for soursop (also called Guanabana) juice. And they have it!
Nice little Asian market. Has fresh fish section too. Little bit cramped on weekends, I forgo the shopping cart and just use a basket to have extra manuvability. I like how they rinse the cilantro so that its not muddy like what I see at other Asian markets. Prices are lower than the other markets in the area.
The store isles is very tight space for this CV-19 period to keeping 6 feet distance. Shortage of shopping carts and product prices on the shelf are not labeled either on package or on the shelf. Sometimes I did not notice the product were expired until gets home but is too late to return. Meat items are normally fresh and meat shelf is bright and clean.
A lot of people.
Too pricey, and they charged $0.15 per bag.
Busy place, a little crowded when I went, friendly staff would recommend
The lady owner of this store is very nice and treats me with respect. I shall come back soon again.
Bought some frozen fish and tomatoes sardine canned fish, then go!! Good deals, drive by and close to home 🏡
Convenience & good price. Can be 1 stop shop for Asian groceries!
Bad service!
Very good
Well stocked grocery. Reasonable price. Cash register lines are long and slow
Its ok for the most part
Oh man such low ratings. This is the best market in the hood! Well, if you are into asian groceries. Its close and clean enough for me. Prices are great. 5 stars all the way.
Great place to go grocery shopping. They have all of good fresh produce & seafood. Great price.
Cheap fresh oysters than Lion market
No social distancing, super crowded, no produce
Very narrow aisles and smaller selection of produce, fish and meats. Plenty of registers open. Pricing was fair for the area.
My husband loves the fry fish. You pick the fish & they will fry it.
Great place to buy exotic goods such as Asian stuff at reasonable and competitive prices compare to big Asian chain-store.
Been comming down here since i was a teenager.. they always have fresh seafood and good deals!.
Several merchandises are expired, especially snacks.
Products are fresh. The meat and sea food is good
When you want fresh fish in San Jose go here
Got what I need Asian seasoning
Easy to park. Always good deals and fresh produce. Somehow its small.
Got what I needed and left.
It’s not a Chinese grocery store. They don’t have hotpot seasonings. But they have other stuff.
Piles of poo when i got out of my car...man, it wasnt my day...stinky, but wait until i get inside for some tasty durian. All kidding aside...the store is not bad and has a plethora of seafood...love it...only wish the isles were big enough for this mý trang.
Place has good deals, but most of it produce is close to its expiration date. This place is so cramped I felt like I was going to suffocate, so I suggest to leave your cart at the end of an aisle and bring your thing to it.Some may find this place dirty, but if your use to dirty Asian markets then it shouldnt be a problem.
Interior spaces are tied, but theyre good oriental food sources to choose from. Prices are lower than other competators.
The crabs were not as good. Very cramped place
Small and well stocked Asian market
Price for items such as onion, potatoes, tomatoes and others are 40% higher than nameste plaza next door. I winder where the fishes comes from and how they preserved them.
Been going here at maxim for 25yrs or more..love the variety of foods..
Not clean at all! Firsts things first, look and the hand baskets....
Small but got enough stuffs
Need to be more clean, one ailes smell like some one pee. So gross, I have to run across with out breathing.
Good selection. Got everything I need to make banh hoi. Buttttt they lack courtesy. Asked cashier for a bag and she didn’t bag it for me although she bagged the customer’s groceries in front of me. She didn’t even say the total. She just stared off somewhere else. When I handed her the money she didn’t even extend her hand so I had to reach over. RUDE. Came cuz I was running errands nearby but NOT returning here.
Great selection. A bit overcrowded with produces. But over all great.
Place is great for sea freash sea food the ladys at the register are really rude they throw everything at u i asked for 2 bags the just throw it there and when u get ir change back the same thing they just to be nicer
I was very disappointed of this place. I bought a box full of mangos here and I was absolutely disgusted when I first cut them open as I got home. Almost ALL of the mangos were expired and rotten on the inside! Only a few managed to be OK quality. It was a waste of money. Definitely not buying the fruits here again. However, I do buy their Asian snacks and enjoy them, but the fruit dilemma really made me mad.
Asian food market, reasonably priced.
A convenient place to get whatever you need from an Asian market. No longer have BBQ and Hot Deli.
Poor service. Buy as few things as possible. More specific needs is more like it.
Good place for fresh vegetables, seafood, and meat.
Small oriental market. Seafood and free fry.
Very nice, lots of variety
Amazing offerings....great prices.
Fish & vegetables are OK but expired snacks are sold. I guess store is thinking nobody would even touch it.
Fresher meats then other Viet markets
Awful smells, too much clorine used.!
Small shop but good prices
Ask for rich or sylvia . They are the best !!
Small market but popular among local residents for Asian food
Very good price
Great place to shop for Asian food
Nice local market
Nice place to shop seafood
Awful place, grumpy staff
They need better costumer service
A good place to buy food

Great value for money
The price is ok.
I come here because of the fish section. Clean and organize.
Alot of asian food and sea food
I didnt go here.....weird
It is ok to buy grocery here.
Ok to shop for Asian foods
Great shopping for oriental food
Very dirty market but friendly staff.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICEAfter I swiped my card to check out, I chose the wrong option, so I had to cancel the transaction and start over. However, the cashiers attitude was like I made a big mistake which couldnt be fixed. She even didnt say thank you at the end of the transaction. What an attitude!
Good place to shop
This market is small but you can buy a lot of things you need here
Good place.
Always good service
Everything an Asian kitchen needs and more.
