Hal is a a very capable technician! And honest and reliable guy who will tell you what you have to do to your amp to keep it reliable and what you can get away with waiting on depending on how much money you want to spend. He knows his stuff when it comes to getting your amp up and running in a reliable fashion so you dont have to worry during a gig!
Okay - there should be a ten star button for this shop and Hal the owner. Ive got one of those rare 48 watt Fender Princetons that was reworked by Randy Smith before he started the Mesa Boogie. This amp is an extremely valuable, amazing sounding thing but it is old, has huge vacuum tubes and it needs to be tuned-up every now and then. The only person I trust to work on it is Hal. His workmanship is top notch, he doesnt charge much and hes a great showman and blues guitarist. When all is said and done, he is the amp repair guy you always wished you knew.
Incredibly knowledgeable. Hal has been at it for a long time and is deeply experienced. Plus, hes a heluva nice guy! Damn good guitar player too. I highly recommend.
