The limited edition Little Saigon box was an amazing treat. I loved the following the “four courses” concept in order! Will be back to buy 4-piece boxes ($15) as gifts for friends for sure. Love to support my local Asian-American woman-owned small businesses!!

My team participated in the virtual chocolate and tea pairing (offered through MerryMint) and absolutely loved it! It was friendly to all team members and Wendy and Pauline were excellent and well-organized instructors! They coordinated mailing 15 boxes of chocolate and tea all across the US and to some places with high temperatures! All team members received their box intact and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tasting. We learned a ton about making truffles and tea and were able to enjoy the delicious treats at the same time. Wendy and Pauline came prepared with a ton of content and were very high energy and natural over the Zoom call. I’ve already recommended them to my friends and family to use for their fun remote work activities!

I did an order pickup for the box of Little Saigon chocolates for a gift and couldn’t help, but pick up some of the 4-piece set of tea chocolates and caramel melange for myself 😋The packaging is beautiful and immaculate. It felt so special opening it up! Very thoughtful in each step of the way. The truffles are a bit smaller than I expected, but after I had a bite it felt like just the right amount of flavor and richness. The thai tea caramels are so so good, too. I want a whole bag of just those 🤤thank you wendy for creating this experience. You are GREAT at what you do!!

The chocolates are great and the owner/manager is very accommodating. I needed to buy some chocolates before a friend flew out and I was running late and I called and he stayed open a good 30 minutes after the store closed.

For your next virtual event, look no further than Socola Chocolate. My work team and I recently participated in their chocolate and tea pairing (cosponsored by DarTealing) and truly loved the opportunity to spruce up a Friday afternoon with chocolate and tea and a surprise bonus of an activity game...all about chocolate of course! Beyond that, Socola has been my go-to local San Francisco Chocolatier for years for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or just a box to hide for myself when I need a pick-me-up. ~Krys Cooper

Delicious (!!!!!) their hot chocolate is the bomb. it was warm and cozy inside, a welcome respite on a blustery day. the person who worked there was so nice and accommodating (!!!!!) he was attentive to all my chocolate needs - I asked if my drink could be more chocolatey and the temperature a little hotter, and he made it all happen ~ - and made great conversation. looking forward to coming back .

I had been trying to stop by this cute Chocolatier & Barista for some time, but my schedule just never worked out. I had heard a lot of great things about their hot chocolate. Finally one day when I walked by they were open on my schedule. I ordered a hot chocolate and with the first sip I felt as if I was in heaven. They also sell chocolates and have classes on how to make chocolates. Their mascot is a cute alpaca and the interior makes you feel as if you are cozy and home.

This company is a small business established and run by two sisters. There is a real family feel to it in that there is real focus on great and personal service. I gifted a tower of truffles to family which were beautifully packaged and tasted delicious. The mail order went really smoothly with great communication throughout. I will definitely use this company again. Thank you Soccola.

Theyre super friendly and have great chocolate. Ive had their truffles, which are great, and their tea, which is prepared carefully, and their hot chocolate, which is really rich and served at just the right temperature to enjoy especially on a cold night in front of the store at their outside seating. They also have cookies which are kind of not their best item but as cookies go are pretty good. They dont have a lot of seats inside so its kind of cramped if you bring more than two people or theres already a few people and youre trying to seat two.

Picked up a few bars and truffles, packaging it’s very cute. Disappointed with the cookies and cream bar, best before date is 2 months away and the cookies are stale. Also the amount of sea salt on the bar is a little much (I understand a sprinkle but these are rather large chunks).

Whenever I take coworkers out for a coffee chat, this is the place I will suggest unless its really hot outside. If my friends at work have had a bad day and need fancy hot chocolate to at least have that, then we must go here. Their lovely beverages, tasty chocolate samples, and room full of alpacas is delightful. If youre getting a drink, be sure to ask for one of their fancy marshmallows! It can be added to anything - last time I got a matcha latte and yes, of course, marshmallow was the first thing I asked about. I usually go in the late afternoon so there arent as many tasty pastries (good for me), but they always have a selection of their signature chocolates and other fancy candies from other places displayed on their counters.Theres always water in the corner next to the ice cream freezer (in case you find you want something cold). The chairs are nice and comfy if you can snag one of them. Overall, a lovely place that I recommend to folks I work with since its so closeby.

Overpriced for what it was. The chocolates were interesting and tasty, but at $2.50 a piece, they seemed very expensive. The espresso wasnt particularly strong for a double shot with the milk overpowering the coffee flavor. The service was a little cold and not particularly fast. I live close by but I dont think Ill be going back.

Great chocolate, but pricey. Caramels and chocolate are made without corn syrup, but their gelatins still use glucose from corn :-( Many gluten free items. Tried the strawberry white cocolate with poprocks. Fanciest shelf stable strawberry treat you can find. Might just add it to the earthquake bag with some champagne🥂

I wanted to love this place. Cute, small business, coffee...but the service has been inattentive both times I have gone and the coffee, well I ordered a cappuccino and Im not sure they actually put coffee in it. Expensive chocolates that I would have been happy to pay for had the rest lived up to expectations.

I stopped by to get a drip coffee and a box of four truffles. The guy at the counter showed me his two favorites (peanut butter jelly and bourbon) and I agree with him - they were outstanding. However, the other two I got (vietnamese coffee and something else - maybe caramel) were unmemorable. Ill be back to try more (their truffles and packaging are adorable) - and am planning on including another peanut butter jelly truffle in the next box for sure.Drip coffee wasnt great. Tasted chalky and too acidic for me. Should have opted for the socolatte :P.

A deep treasure cave of delicious chocolate flavors is there behind this unassuming storefront (and website). Small graceful 2-3 bite pieces become 1-2 bites because I cant wait to go on. Socola offers both THE best take on familiar flavors like chocolate with caramel and sea salt, and unique worlds greatest like the chocolate passionfruit truffle or guava fruit gels (pate de fruit), and durian chocolates (if there could be a right way to have durian, this would be it). The best ingredients, fully realized flavor combinations, mad skills and perfectionist detail make wonderful treats. And the people are great. A must try.

Newly opened in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco, Sôcôla Chocolatier is the first store-front location of a family-run artisan confectionery. Made with high-quality local and organic ingredients, the chocolates are available via their website or in their new cafe. The shop is tiny, with a few chairs and tables on the sidewalk out front and a quaint seating area inside. Order pastries, fourbarrel coffee or the award winning truffles at the counter, but dont expect to hang out on your laptop as this is a WiFi-free zone. Instead, watch chef Wendy craft sweet creations in the open kitchen.

I ordered their famed truffogato, which is a double shot of espresso blended with their house made liquid truffle and garnished with a chocolate marshmallow. It’s thick, smooth, and smoky in a burnt caramel way. I had to slowly sip the shot because it was so intense. It’s not my thing, but I can see why people are raving about the truffogato. It’s a grown up version of hot chocolate that feels luxurious and also decadent.I also walked away with a small box of Duchess of Earl chocolates for myself and to share with a couple friends. It’s a blend of black ceylon tea, vanilla bergamot, and dark chocolate. It’s velvety smooth and it has a beautiful and pronounced bergamot note. Tea and chocolate lovers would rejoice!
