A cute little place to congregate with friends if you’re seeking an alcohol-free evening. Outdoor area has limited seating but generous standing room. Fun baked treats, but their hot chocolate is the real reason you’d come here.

While the European chocolate drink is exceptionally tasty at Dandelion, I was very underwhelmed by their other menu offerings. The cake was dry and the chocolate had no sweetness to it. While the brownie flight was fun to try, I feel that during covid they don’t offer their staple flight options to customers. Lastly, the chocolate chai was too spicy. For the price you pay, it’s just overrated with the one exception being their chocolate drink which is a 5/5

I’m giving this place 5 stars because I LOVE great tasting chocolate and amazing people at the counter. I was greeted by a lovely gal that let me take my time asking questions and was so friendly and patient. Now there is only one place in the world that I have been introduced to frozen hot chocolate and that’s in NYC at Serendipity 3. Having also lived on the UES it was my treat as well as all our guests that came to visit. I have yet to find a place comparable until Dandelion Chocolate. Although this one is a little less sweet it is still quite delicious. The experience may be better if it were served as a dine in experience but having it from a Togo cup was great! The whipped cream was thick and not too sweet and I believe homemade. The s’mores cookie was also delicious and not too sweet. The marshmallow was perfect and the chocolate in the middle was almost like a thick yummy mousse that was maybe 75% dark chocolate. I also love desserts that are sweet so I was surprised I liked it! I have to say that my favorite item of all was the Oatmeal Cookie!!! I can’t believe I’m saying this but it has 2 kinds of chocolate almost like milk and dark and the chocolate was not chips it was mini bars almost. There were cranberries in it and I loved the perfect amount of crunch and softness. This was also eating it the next day!! I will be going back for sure for this incredible cookie! Also I don’t usually ever go for cookies outside of chocolate chip or ones with cranberries in it.

You have to try the Frozen Hot Chocolate cold drink. The name is funny to be honest, but it is so freaking delicious. Probably loaded in calories, but this is the best cold chocolate drink I have had in a long time. Strongly recommended. Around $6 for the drink. We also tried the mini chocolate muffins, it was very tasty. The texture was just perfect with a little bit of moisture in it.

No matter you are chocolate lover or not, this is a must visit spot in San Fran! Saw this place on one of the must visit on mission street and it is totally worth it! Local made chocolate can see the open concept “factory” how chocolate being made. Amazing. The decoration of this place is very cool, wash room with garage looking sliding door. Sit around the bar area look into the chocolate factor see the big mixing bowl where chocolate is being made.Must try: European hot chocolate - just like the one I had in Italy

If you enjoy chocolate then you definitely need to check this place out. There are free samples throughout the store with very clear descriptions highlighting the chocolate notes of each bar. They have creative chocolate and coffee drinks. Their chocolate processing machines are on full display and it appears they are continually processing chocolate as you see it pouring out of machines. They even offer tours of their shop to show you how they create their batches. They have a bowl of house made marshmallows you can add to your hot chocolate. Delicious! Lastly, just watch out because the line can build up quickly.

Popular place with the neighborhood locals for desserts made with in house chocolate. My friends and I went on a Saturday night after 10pm... There was line and a little bit of a wait to order. Pastries are good, but I wish they were warmed up. I got the coffee cake. My friends got the smores & chocolate chip cookie. Again, wish they were served warm. We also go a double espresso and they are string. Served with sparkling water and a little chocolate nibble which was a nice pallet cleanser. Seating is very limited.

I love that you can see the chocolate process in the back! They’ve got lots of different types of chocolate from all over, and samples out front (all the way up to 100% cacao bars!). Off their menu, my absolute favorite is the frozen hot chocolate. I don’t care how cold it gets, I will always drink that when I’m here. The s’more is also a really nice pick-me-up. They torch the marshmallow right before serving, and the portion size is just right!

Meh. Had a blondie and a canelé. The blondie was bland and the canelé was absolutely nothing like a canelé, it was just a brownie made using a canelé mold. A canelé should have the consistency of bread pudding on the inside and a chewy carmelized crust, otherwise its not a canelé.

Wow, just wow! Where do I even start? Dandelion is simply awesome and a must-visit.I was so tempted by all their creations, so naturally I had to do the Chefs chocolate tasting flight. At $14, its not cheap for the small portion sizes that you get, but I thought I got good value out of itItems in the tasting:- A spritzer made using chocolate from Belize (wasnt heavily chocolately, more like a light chocolate palate cleanser)- Profiteroles using chocolate from Liberia (it was really good)- Smore using chocolate from Ecuador (Absolutely divine! My fav!)- Passionfruit chocolate macaron using chocolate from Madagascar (this was ok)- Panna Cotta with chocolate from Venezuela (so good! My second fav!)Now that I have had the tasting, my next visit will be focusing on getting the items that I like, as the regular items are bigger in size. Overall, I think this is as good as it gets for a small local chocolate factory/cafe!! A++Check out @instantonium on Instagram for more great eats

Im afraid i did not like this place one bit, seating area is extremely small ( although the store is gigantic), we ordered the -house hot chocolate, -mission hot chocolate, -celebration cake, -dulce de leche bar, as experts in chocolate/cocoa you would automatically have higher expectations in their chocolate and/or desserts unfortunately they fell too short from that, we left extremely disappointed with the overall experience as it was unpleasant to say the least starting from seating till leaving; we stood waiting for around 12-15 minutes just for some1 to leave as the seatings are only but a few, imagine doing that with 2 toddlers! ... after finally finding a table we tasted our neatly cold hot chocolate, i chose the mission hot chocolate which is advertised as their spicy take on the mesoamerican original, drinking this was like drinking lava, my internal organs felt like burning and had an upset stomach till the next day, the dulce bar was tasty however i could not say the same for the cake, cake was mediocre at best and frankly disappointing even my son didnt like it and he loves cake.. i dont like leaving bad reviews only if i really had an unpleasant experience and this was one.. wont come back and will not recommend

All went in the trash after one bite. The s’more looked great, it had what looked to be a house made marshmallow on I’m assuming a house made graham cracker, did I taste ginger? Not sure. Then some chocolate on top. The “marshmallow gets caramelized with a brulée torch when ordered. It was very disappointing, pure gelatin and pretty disgusting. The Blondie was lacking any direction and was extremely greasy. The oatmeal cookie was flavorless, Even with the chocolate chips.I tried to order a dirty chai with a plant based milk, that was a no go as well.
