Nice local grocery store, wish all neighborhood stores be like this place. Clean space and thoroughly picked goods. Recommend to try pastries they sell, love it.

Greg and Sophia run the most wonderfully curated store for food and household essentials in the area. I can’t recommend this spot enough if you’re ever in need of any ingredients in a pinch, or even want to do a larger grocery haul. Their produce is organic, high quality, and very well priced, and they carry some harder-to-find items at competitive prices too.Store is impeccably clean, well lit, modern, and warm. This is my favorite neighborhood grocery store! It has a great variety of products at a great price. The owners are super friendly and welcoming, especially when I bring my fur baby to visit.

Very clean bodega. Friendly employee, I only popped in very briefly right as they were closing but he was super welcoming. He also acknowledged another patron by name when she entered the store. Reasonable prices. Overall a delightful experience which is not something I typically expect from these little markets

Great local shop. Recently reopened and very clean. Employees/Owners are very pleasant and know people by name. They have a wide variety of items considering it is such a small store. Fresh baked goods that go fast, good quality local produce, artsian meats, and good selection of liquor and wine. My favorite, Salt point cocktails in a can, try the Moscow Mule! Everything is reasonably priced for San Francisco, I found two common items 50% of the cost of a similar shop on Powell. Highly recommend!

I lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years. Chicos Market was unbelievable, Big Sam, Little Sam, Larry, Greg and Im sorry if I left out anyone. Best produce and the offer to get anything you needed. The people you would meet their, it was wonderful. Chicos catered to the Nob Hill, Russian Hill and most anywhere else. Little Sam would always greet you with how may I service you today always a smile. I often think of them and I know some have pasted on but my memory of them will be forever. Reopened under new management. Pretty good French bread and cheese section, and a basic selection of foods and beverages. Much nicer than the liquor store vibe it had previously.
