I personally love this place as the ultimate small town in the big city grocer! The employees try to be genuinely friendly and they have a very large variety of average and various ethnicity related foods. Their deli is amazing, but like some of my other posts.... This is not really a store for the bargain shopper as their prices are quite high, but surprisingly they do accept EBT Food Stamps. I truly love shopping there, but mostly with my Food Stamps as they are not for the lower nor really even middle class income brackets. But if you have it to spend I highly recommend spending your money at this little Fine Foods Grocer.

Ive started going here pretty regularly. The photos on the site arent exaggerations -- its pretty much exactly as tidy as its made out to be. Decent selection of a lot of things without over specialization. Havent tried their deli yet, as Ive not seen it populated. Not the cheapest place youll find in the city, but its local and deserves support.

As a wheelchair user this place is hard to maneuver in. Prices are ridiculously high. They are open late so if you really need some thing bad it can be conveniate...

This grocery shop is amazing! Everything you need was very easy to find. Affordable prices for all items, groceries, meats, and fresh produce. And also, this place is very conveniently located and the parking area is very spacious. All of the staff as well are always happy and willing to assist you. It was a very good and remarkable experience!

I think the prices were very high...... 3.99 for the big can of Pedigree dog food is being greedy...... i also paid almost 2$ for one apple that was old.... too bad, i live next door but i will walk elsewhere..... be careful with your money, places like this are robbing you

Just the kind of small store you like on your block if you lived where I do (Nob Hill). The selection isnt vast but this store is far and above any convenience store. They even have fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and baked goods. I really like the owners as well.

The cleanest Mom and pop store in the Bay Area. Each isle is perfectly merchandise and the Beverage and frozen food section is impeccable. Opens early and closes late. If your gonna shop local shop here

Great small store to grab essentials.

I love having Sutter Fine Foods on my block. It was a lifesaver during COVID lockdowns and I still stop in almost every day. The whole team is friendly and helpful, the store is clean and well-stocked. I can almost always find what Im looking for there. When I moved into the neighborhood, I thought this was a convenience store and while it is convenient, its a full-fledged grocery store. Its terrific.

Id like to thank the couple who didnt buy the toilet paper and complained about the price. Thanks! I needed some toilet paper.This is a great store and they have been a great help in keeping the neighborhood going during the crazy times. I would suggest that if someone is upset about the cost of something they look around and see that the prices are not gouging and they are typical prices for a neighborhood store.

I was staying at Hotel Vertigo during Christmas holiday. This is a very friendly shop and close to the Hotel. The male owner/staff that was working there is very nice too.

SUTTER FINE FOODS gives everyone the best in grocery Shopping. A large selection, I have buying my Yogurt, Organic Eggs, Organic Milks plus every sort of great Cookies and fresh Fruits and vegetables FOR +12 YEARS.

Good local grocery store. I shop there whenever I can instead of going further up the hill to trader Joes to stand in a line.

They are rude to customers. I heard they assault customers on their back. Smoke cigarettes and make food,touch food. Highly over priced.

This place caught me off guard. I had only gone in to grab a late night beer, but what I found was an excellent neighborhood grocery. Well stocked with everything from fresh organic produce to fresh cut deli meats to hardware. All the stuff the big chain grocers carry and many specialty items the big chains dont. The store is clean, the staff is courteous and remembers most customers names. The product is faced and easy to find. Theyre open until 2am. Its obvious the owners (Im assuming a family) take pride in what they do.

Heres what happened to me yesterday at this store.I have been a teacher for 42 years.I live across the street from the store.I have been shopping there for 3 years.I started to go in the store yesterday and was told to back up and get out.I asked why.The owner told me that my neighbor(who Ive had many problems with )told them I have Covid 19.I was shocked and when I tried to tell them it was a lie,he said I would have to prove that.I was embarrassed and hurt.I live in an unsafe senior building.I am a cancer patient and have been tested for the virus twice.No one else in my building has been tested and they all shop in that store.Im the only one that wears a mask.This is not the way anyone should be treated;especially a good customer.Please dont help them by giving them your money.We have many nice stores in SF.Keep safe everyone and dont let anyone use the virus for personal attacks...

Great selection of food and drink. You pay for the convenience of a neighborhood market in SF as to be expected.

Refrain from buying your essentials here. In this time of emergency, this place is gouging prices. They tried charging us $19 for a six pack of toilet paper. We eventual just walked over to Walgreens and bought 9 pack for only $7. Shame on you Sutter Fine Foods. You lost some valuable customers.

Always friendly and well stocked, convenience come at a price I’m willing to pay for essentials like Tp.

This place is one of the few tiny markets that has all your baking needs -- spices, vanilla, gelatine, baking soda, bakers chocolate, butterscotch chips, blackcurrant jam, etc. etc. etc. Lots of great chocolate/chips. A zillion different sauces and condiments. Not going to find raw chicken/beef here, though. Very overpriced, but hey, its SF. Polite staff.

I just walked into the store to find the employee or owner of the shop manipulating the foods to hide their expiration. He literally had his hands in the berries picking out the bad ones and changing the expiration date. I decided to just grab a tea and get out but was confronted with a charging fee. When I asked what the fee was for he said, its none of your business. Well apparantly hes unaware of the fact you have to legally disclose all fees and fines in California. So I left without making a purchase and will never return.

For the size of the store that has a pretty decent selection of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as a good array of every day grocery items. Surprising giving the quality of other small stores in the neighborhood that call themselves groceries and are really just liquor stores with a few prepackaged outdated food items. Friendly staff.
