Having travelled the world, spending much time in small remote villages of India, Turkey etc, working with artisans, I can vouch for the quality of goods at Thread Lounge. Prices are fair if you care about paying fair prices to the artisans (unlike the large chain stores). Be sure to check out the beautiful one of a kind gold jewelry from India. I had a very pleasant conversation with the owner who spent a lot of time giving me background of the things I bought. She was very kind and open.
Lots of lovely items here, but totally out of my budget. Wish the prices werent so steep. Michelle was sweet & welcoming. She made recommendations & was informative about the products. Unfortunately, the owner was the opposite-sneery & rude.
Great place. Supports thousands of businesses and people worldwide. The owner is wonderfully personable and makes you feel very welcome. Conscious shopping.
You walk in with a group of people and the person at the register picks one person to be overly welcoming with and snub the rest of you. In passing you hear the two owners go on vacation 6 times a year to collect various artifacts, like a $538 embroidered blanket, no doubt the product of child labor, that is casually draped from the wall, inches from falling into a coi pond. What is this place? Is it owned by a bunch of bored wealthy housewives? The sense of entitlement is so deep, it must be a trust fund that goes back for generations.
These people really know style and color. Also they have a great selection of mens colognes. It is always nice to visit the in-store resident koi fish, dog and pigeons.
Eclectic and lovely selection of home wares and clothing. Helpful staff. Interesting shop. Worth a visit to see what treasures you may discover.
Great place to find craftsmanship and culture pieces from around the world.
A trip around the world. This place has an amazing selection of gifts and home decor! The FABRICS are to die for!!! Im in 💘!
Great coollection of unique items, awesome soundtrack playing and the owner was very personable.
They have lovely items but the service is non existent. In fact, it would be better if they just had someone at the register and Ill tell you why. The ladies there are mean and unkind. One of them came up to me as I was holding something I planned to purchase and said as if I were a thief oh Ill take that and put that up front. I understand why, but I was so turned off buying it from a store with service like that I left immediately. Another lady seemed to have a permanent sneer on her face, practically glaring down at me when I went to pick up my drink I placed on the counter. If you want to feel bad about yourself as if nothing was worth buying, come here. And if you have arrogant friends, bring them here. Itll really knock them down a peg or two.
A reasonable selection of items, but overpriced. More to the point, the owner is RUDE beyond belief. Look at Yelp: she seems to make a habit of accosting customers in ways that are socially unacceptable. More than one person says they were treated like a criminal. It would be better if this place went out of business and was replaced by an entrepreneur with manners.
Eclectic selection of goods - full of personality! Great place to look for unique things for the home.
This place has some amazing items. A bit on the pricey side, but if you can scrape up the money, there are some really beautiful pieces here: rugs, pillows, throws, clothing, and all kinds of accessories.
Absolutely love the selection and the owner, who is so passionate about her work! Super inspiring to talk to her.
Colleen is a scam artist. She sold me some goods at a show in NYC and then short shipped half of the order. I attempted to retrieve the other half of my money, calling and emailing her for months with her dodging me the entire time. Dont buy anything from her. STAY AWAY!!!
A hipster junk shop taking up a storefront. wasted space. staff isnt friendly at all. maybe they only want to cater to certain people. Surely someone paid the ones below to post such weird reviews. Its not a pet store and Ive surely never seen anyone walk around with a glass of wine in hand while looking at faux Asian pieces
Birds left to die inside while owner goes to Bali. One looks dead already. Disgusting.
We dropped in at the recently relocated Thread Lounge to enjoy a glass of white wine while strolling through their eclectic collection. They have some nice Asian pieces, Moroccan slippers, retro light fixtures, apparel, and a couple of doves in a large cage.
Scammers who didnt ship my order and ignoring my emails
This place would be really rad if it was 1994 circa when Snapple and Friends were still a thing. Kinda like if Anthropologie went tchotchke.
A great example of gentrification and cultural appropriation.
A place of gentrification at its best! Check Instagram.
Good presents for Mom
Cool shop
Overpriced items and unfriendly owner, be warned!
