Rolando, the store manager of this store terrorizes my friend with Autism. He has repeatedly been told to stop and is aware of his condition. Yet, he continues with his ignorant, unprofessional behavior. No one should feel threatened when entering a store. Office Depot needs hire competent employees that are there to help and not to harass people with disabilities. I am sick to my stomach to hear about the harassment my friend has been receiving. Shame on Rolando and SHAME on Office Depot!!!
I’ve used this Office Depot for many years now and it is my go to for all administration needs. The help center customer service staff is ALWAYS helpful with solutions! My orders are always on time and accurate! My only criticism is the cleanliness of their high traffic floors, they can be kinda dirty at times. Other than that I recommend this Office Depot for all things office 👌🏼
This Location In Down Town San Diego Is Excellent. Lots Of Everything You Need In Office Supplies. AAA/Office Depot Discounts Accepted. Free Plastic Card Protector For Your Office Depot Discount Card And Your Vaccination Card While In Store. Excellent Customer Service And Check Out. Definitely Recommend.
DONT USE OFFICE DEPOT! Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a corporate business! I had to engage in their little game of fraud after making a purchase. Thursday I bough a chair on their website; less than 24 hours later I called them and asked for a refund because they did not give me the free same-day shipping that they advertised. They told me they couldnt refund my money because the payment just went through - THAT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE! They sent my request to a separate resolution team in India; I didnt get to speak with anyone there until the next day. Then they told me they couldnt refund the money because the chair went out for shipping. I said, Why did you send out a chair that was marked for refund/return out for shipping? She had no response for that. She said to refuse the delivery, then call her back so she could refund me the money (on Friday). It arrived - I refused the order - I called her back - she was not there the rest of the day! I called on Saturday for a resolution, but the resolution office is closed on the weekends! I had to call the main hotline, and they simply told me I had to wait until Monday to speak with them again. OUTRAGEOUS! They kept my money, they kept the product, and theyve played these games to keep me from getting a refund for 3 days now! This is nothing short of FRAUD! Now, if they dont give me my refund on Monday, Im going to call my attorney and take legal action.
RUDE! I don’t know what the young man’s name is (I think his name tag said Brian) at this location, but because of him, I’ll take my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional
08AUG21 3:19PM : Extremely slow cashier, takes a long time to ring up one customer meanwhile there are customers lining up waiting to checkout. Employee made no effort to call an additional employee to help ring people up.
I went there to buy a laptop ( I am a buyer with cash in hand with my mind set on purchasing a Laptop ) and could not find one person to assist me. I stood around for 10 minutes, wandered around and the only employee was the cashier. I did find a homeless person playing with a laptop but he could not help me. ( I think I interrupted him while he was shoplifting ) You get the feeling this place might or should shut down. This is the worst Office Depot I have ever been in. I came in to buy and left empty handed without talking to anyone. I recommend Amazon Prime, Frye’s, Dell (online), Best Buy or another location. I hope they consider replacing management. LAME!
Run down store with rude workers. Always surrounded by homeless people. There is a line of tents on one side of their store. Oh and god forbid you park on their BACK BACK parking lot which is an exaggeration of parking space for this store you will get towed. $300 to to get your car out during a Pandemic and hard times for parking in an unused space. However, the people from Pacific Gate can have a full on car wash from 4-6 hours every weekend and not get towed. Looks to me like management should be using their time better and train their employees given all the negative reviews. Ive been to this location a handful of times and regularly ordered for my jobs office supplies and they have just lost a customer.
I purchased a Canon ink cartridge today in the San Diego Store. Your online ad indicates a price of $22.30, I was.charged $32.29. The cartridge is a PG240Xl.
When I arrived at Office Depot, I already felt as though they didn’t like me. The staff didn’t come up and asked to help me until they decided that they were going to watch me very closely for shoplifting, or something like that. I came there to buy a very expensive chair and a couple other office supplies, and by the time I left I felt so degraded, it was infuriating. The guy was so eager to help me carry the chair to the front where I paid for The $400 chair and then he just left the cart there. After about 10 minutes of struggling with getting it in my car, he came outside, saw me struggling, and just grabbed the cart and walked back in. I was incredulous. I don’t know why I was treated with such disdain, I feel like I was a higher paying customer, but I left there feeling like a common criminal. I feel violated, I feel gross, I feel like less than a person. I would not recommend this place.
Adrien was SO helpful! I was in a panic and needed to get toner for my stores printer asap and on top of it, Office Depots store registers were down but despite that she helped me quickly check out online and even found me a coupon! Thank you Adrien! You made this whole thing so much easier. (:
Overpriced, although there are some bargains to be found. It can be difficult to find staff, but when you do there was very nice and helpful. However I used their public restroom, and the sign in there said it had last been checked three days ago and I believe it because I had to hold my breath. They definitely need to check it more often. Also if I order online and pick up in-store, I can frequently get a much lower price.
I just bought a Microsoft 1 year personal package and 1 computer mouse and the guy I think his name is Juan operations manager. Great service very helpful.
Bad service. I was there like for 20 min and none bother even to ask if need something. I was trying to print and nobody help me.
Great place.
First I tried to buy a laptop there, after listening to advice from the salesperson I decided on one and it ended up being out of stock. The next three choices were also out of stock. So I decide to print some pictures and see the cost of a 8x10 is twice what Costco charges and bigger prints exponentially more. Last I go to return some headphones my nephew bought there and Jason says we havent carried these in six months and he will give me a penny for them, thats what the register will ring up. So I tell the Jason I dont want a penny I want ones that work. He says all he can do is give me a penny. I told him they were bought here and I just want a pair that work. Now he says they werent bought there. Now Im pissed. He shouldnt of said that. I obviously dont have headphones that work and Jason finishes the conversation with the old Have a Good Day. I laugh because I will and hell be standing at Office Depot waiting to piss the next guy off. The place is only good for free parking and printing off boarding passes for 11 cents.
They will TOW your car.DONT shop here.Went in with my kids to get print paper. Rude staff. My kids wanted to get ice cream right across street also.So come right back they towed our car. Over $300.Went inside to see if stolen or towed. Staff was horrible.Manager walks out and leaves his staff to then handle over 6 + cars that he had towed. Im sure he gets a great $ kick back from the tow company😉I had to take my 3 children in a cab to where they took our car.Luckily I had registration proof of ownership or I would have had to get that to get my car out. What a hassle for paper & making my kids happy with ice cream.I later called store. Manager never returned my call.I called corporate office. Was told they would get store to issue an order for corporate to refund me. I never heard from corporate office again. Even after leaving 2 more messages.Guess I have to file small claims.Update:Corporate did refund my tow & cab fee after this.
This is the second time I went to this Office Depot to mail some items. Both times service has been bad, today it was almost hostile towards me. These transaction shouldnt take more than 10 minutes, but I was there for an hour and a half for the first one, buying stamps. Stamps. Today it was actually suggested to me that I go somewhere else to mail my packages. So much for helpful.
Expect to wait for your copying. Apparently a day isnt enough time to print 3 binders. And, when we came by after being told its ready, it wasnt. If this was just a bad day, wed understand but its not. Quality service, polite, helpful people and on time completion is good one day and bad the next 2 trips.
First of all, the girl who helped me was very helpful and nice. Whoever is managing the print department isnt doing a very good job at it. The day I came in, I placed an order for two posters to be printed and laminated. They seemed to be very helpful by offering a drive to transfer the documents from my computer to theirs. I should have known to not trust the place, when the same girl who helped me was trying to find a project for another client while I transferred the files.I was to pick up my order the next day, I waited three. I get there and Im notified my project wasnt completed due to an image problem. Why was I not called or emailed? I was okay with having to return, but was frustrated when they asked me to send repeated emails with the documents in the requested formats. They couldnt find my emails.I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. They were kind enough to do that. I tend to trust Office Depot with my projects and in an effort to support other locales, I came to realize that nothing like my local one. Never again. Im sticking with my nice in Chula Vista.
Worst service Ive ever received from an Office Depot. Ive been here 2x now. When you print online, sometimes it messes up and sends the order to this generic store downtown (terrible location) instead of your local store. I love my local store, but this store, every time I come in, the employees dont greet you, they dont look you in the eye, and then you wait 10 minutes to pick up an order thats already been paid for and is just sitting under the counter. Such a waste of time and a horrible customer experience. At my local store, they ask are you picking up today? and I can pick up my order within seconds, even if theyre helping another customer. The employees here always look like theyre having a bad day. They were understaffed (only 2 employees with maybe ~10 customers all waiting to be helped) so maybe this is a management issue.
I havent been in this store for over a year. Theres a big difference in the productsI see here. Everything from dry erase boards to coffee and cleaning supplies. Its nice to see that people are finally asserting that coffee is an office supply.
Horrible customer service. So so prices.
Great service, eve though 2 people! Good selection of printers and Christmas computer paper.lots of parking.
I use this branch of Office Depot to scan in my art work. The people who work in the printing department are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.I used to go to Staples but I always use this Office Depot now simply because the service is so good. And the quality of the work they do for me is too.
This is the first time Ive had a bad experience at this office depot. The employees are useless. What a waste of time.
Its not the best but they always do carry everything i need for my office and convenient.
There staff is really polite, super helpful. I wish this store had more items for sale, and it always feels like Im walking through a place with outdated technology for sale. Like 2010 era
I use this store all the time and yes - they are good. A couple of glitches over the years but they do the best they can and are convenient. Toni at the copy center is very helpful - and the employees do ask you if you need help and walk you to he aisle.
Everyone is clueless - the manager is taking personal phone calls while handling my issues. They don’t even know how much they charge for paper - and printing. Not good service
I had an important project that I left with their associate Angel on 12/13. He told me he couldnt print my poster that evening and to just pick it up the following day. I had 2 different associates inquire about my project and no one knew anything not even Angel. I returned from vacation on 12/17 and I went over myself and it took over an hour for my poster to be printed. Such bad customer service. I witnessed many other customers show up and the associates were giving them the wrong items or they couldnt find it...
Like frequent shopper program, great back to school sales. Never too busy. If its not on sale its a bit expensive, maybe because its a downtown location.
Convenient location for mass transit. Customer service is very good.
As i went in this morning Looking to get several school stuff that my daughter needed i approached an employee at the cashier register and asked for help he Leaft what he was Doing to immediately help me and i bought what i needed im so grateful for that kind of employee to be there i didnt get his name my mistake but he was working the morning shift of 02/01/2019 having a mustache short hair and light skinned i will definitely come back to this store great customer service❤❤
I called in to placed an order that was very time sensitive and they said to come in an hour. So i go on with my day.The hour passes and i go in to pick up my project. Turns out they didnt even take a look at what i ordered. And on top of that they didnt have the materials for my project, therefore my time was wasted. I was upset that there was absolutely no communication during that hour on how my project was doing.A trip that was suppose to take 15 mins ended up being an hour+ trying to get my project printed.I gave them three stars because they helped me out during the hour on completing my project with materials they had.
Very rude employee and short with his answers. I went in looking for a battery employee treated me like an idiot by telling me he doesnt know where I would be able to find it. Even though they carry the brand and printer. I didnt expect them to have exactly what I need even though the printer was purchased at this store, but at least lead me in the right direction or ask me why I was needing the item in the first place. Been shopping here for tge past 4 years and was baffled with this employees attitude and response. Time for a new job bud, dont seem very happy to be there.
Looks really rundown inside and out. Doesnt elicit a comfortable shopping experience. Has the goods you need in an Office Depot.
On hold for 10 minutes. I hung up called back for no one to answer the phone. This is a common experience for me.
Warning, this place trick you into their parking lot and they will tow your car like the others. I should have read the review before even parking here, my other friend says there was a GUY WITH SUNGLASSES standing there and PURPOSELY call the towing company to get rid of your car without even telling you before you leave the place. The reason i said they were tricking us because there is no tow-away sign on the parking space, which is very misleading, and then they watch us leaving and not telling us that this place is no parking, in the other words, they are tricking us. Beware that there are only 2 signs on both front and back entrance of the parking lot saying tow-away. Other than that, nothing. At least 3 cars were towed away when we get there, we even talked to someone who got towed too. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT.
No clue how this place is still in business, but Im glad it is. A full sized office supply store right downtown. Means I dont have to go mission valley, which is always a welcome attribute. And, theres parking. Thats the icing on the cake. Parking downtown is always a pain in the ass, but the fact that there is never anyone in Office Depot, and theres a decent sized lot, you really cant say anything bad about the place. For shopping. I have no idea how the services are but, given that theres always a hiring sign in the window, my guess is the turn over is pretty high.
The firm I work for is so close to this Office Depot location. For what? They might as well not be there. This store needs a serious cleaning of house! Meaning get rid of or retrain their employees. I dread having to deal with this place and today decided that Id rather drive to Kinkos or Fed Ex. The customer service alone is horrible. They make you feel like you are bothering them. They are unhelpful, unknowledgeable and basically tell you to do everything yourself besides the printing. So resizing to fit the poster board, forget it! And they always say the same thing... Were swamped today so go online and put in your order. Every time. The online order system is a joke too. I called today and someone put me on hold for 10 min and forgot about me. I called again and got the same response as always. A simple request to mount 3 slides onto 3 separate 2x3 foam poster boards. All she could say is Were swamped, go online. Me: Yes, but online its not letting me resize to fit poster boards. Her: I dont know what to tell you.. Then why do you work here!? If I could give them 0 stars I would. And its not like this here and there, its like this always! Go into the store... youll see they all look like zombies walking around. Like theyre in slave camps or something.
Horrible service. Place full of trainees and even the supervisor didnt know how to print my work.
I made 3 copies and only paid $.48. Great price.
Something as simple as a cat 5 barrel? Nope. They had 5 six foot cat 5 cables. A long walk from the convention center for empty shelfs.
The only friendly person I interacted with was Danny, thanks Danny for having good customer service. The printing department is unfriendly and make zero eye contact with you. I asked the woman a question after she asked me what I needed and never stopped to look at me or stop reading. She was very unprofessional and needs some customer service skill training. Perhaps a day at the Nordstrom store could do her done good. The behave and interact with customers as we are a nuisance and want you to leave so they dont have to bother with you. When Danny called for a manager, the manger took their time and so I just left. Go to another store, and Danny should be commended on maintaining good service despite the negative attitudes of the other staff.
My car was towed from their parking lot and when I went inside to ask if someone complained about my car and called towing company or if towing company picked up my car on their own manager Albert was not helpful and rude. Having employees like Albert work for your company is a big mistake especially if you trust them to manage your store.
They always have friendly and friendly and helpful staff ! 👌
I just now called the downtown office depot when I asked them for a price on a couple of ink cartridges they said they will have to see if they have them in stock(so I figured they will come back on the phone quickly) low and behold I had to wait MORE THAN AN HOUR for their response so I continued to wait even longer and longer and still NOBODY came back on the phone!!!! these employees @ the downtown office depot are TERRIBLE!!! THEY SUCK!!!!! DONT DO BUSINESS W/THEM DONT CALL FOR PRICES THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU THEY ARE SELFISH!!!!
Good prices on laptops during Black Friday 2018
Standard office supply store but with a convenient free parking lot in downtown.
When I dont have a short distance to the stores to buy the materials to paint my works, I dont hesitate to go to Offices Depot where I can also get everything I need
Very helpful with a photo we wanted framed
Alway great cust service..The USS Midway Museum gets all their stuff here!!!
Great tip print online but the their Internet is slow
They dont care about Essintial workers.
Process is pretty easy there, staff his helpful, one of em is pretty cute
Normal retail store but its a bit desolate which makes the feel of it a bit off. Customer service is generally pretty good.
Service was great--staff knew exactly where we needed to go for an obscure paper organizer.
Everyone was nice here, but the parking lot was really small.
Customer service was not on point. The lady was nice, but you can tell her manager made her mad. I went in for an online pick up order. That they seemed like this was the first one the ever delt with. She told him the order was for joe and it was markers. He came out with a bag and said it was for mark. She said no its an order for joe. He sweared that she said mark. As if it was a big deal for the miscommunication. Then he looks at me and says well do you have an invoice. I said no. Ive never needed one before. After that he paid no attention to me after that and went into the back room to look for my order. He found it and then instead of carring it, he kicked it with his foot over to the register where she was. Made a remark to her and got on his walkie talkie and told someone she was messing up. I felt bad for her. She did nothing wrong. I asked if he was the manager and she said yes. Thats no way to treat an employee or a customer. He was a bald man with a large goatee. Poor management.
What I need they pretty much have it
Only office supply in the area. Well stocked, clean, helpful staff and is rarely crowded.
It was okay. I liked the location.
Great deals, what else can you ask for?
Very helpful at the print station area.
The business itself is fine with customer service, but at this time construction around the property makes it difficult to get there. 4 stars without the construction
Big store, friendly staff but not always easy to find someone to help you in the far reaches of the store. Lots of sale items.
Friendly store. Had exactly what I need for my printer.
Great customer service
Found what we needed but like big box everywhere it has not customer service.
Fast friendly service conveniently located
I think it will close eventually.. Its lonely i was the only customer the whole time i was there...
Very randomly placed and the staff managed to make picking up an online order less appealing than a trip to the dentist.
Very convenient downtown location
Needed to print some pictures from my USB and laminate some papers I use for presentation use
Its nice that its downtown
I believe staples is better
The print shop always has a long wait. and usually bad service. nobody acknowledges your existence and for some reason only has 1 employee while 10 red shirts walk the floor doing nothing.
Excellent printing service.
Empty boxes on the shelf of products out of stock. Slow unhelpful staff. 20 minutes per person to check out with one register open and 5 staff standing around chatting. DONT SHOP HERE.
They dont carry all the parts but they have a great deal.
This business always seems to have the office supplies and business support services that I need!
Horrible customer service, called in advance and talked to the manager to see if i can come in at closing time, it was very urgent that I get the toner for legal documents. He stated that he wouldnt hold the door open even if we came in a minute past 8:00. Really ???
Excellent location to use
9 people working waited 10 minutes at the counter then left ...open Sunday
Your average office depot. They have everything youll need for an office of school supplies and the staff are very friendly.
Helpful and friendly staff
Nice services
Staff is rude and very slow.
This is where I go to get all my school supplies.
Not very helping staff.
Not very friendly people when you return stuff
Not impressed, broken displays, inattentive employees, very little selection.
Lovely
Very helpful and friendly
I will never use the Copy.Print Center at Office Depot again.
Place is ridiculously priced
Will never shop here
They valadate parking.
Anything that you want !
