This is by far the best liquor store in North Park San Diego. Why because they stay open until 2 in the morning and they have everything. Even the most exotic of items you might want at that time of night. Literally after going to six different liquor stores in the area I found this gem. I cant say enough, the owners are on site an absolutely wonderful East European family. Give the mama a wink and a smile and she might let you barter a little bit, maybe. Not telling my secrets.

Always a pleasure to do business with! Family run (a guess, but if I am wrong congrats to them, it feels like it and that is a positive) and they treat everyone with dignity and respect. They take EBT and carry snacks that everyone can afford, but good heavens you will also find hidden gems in their alcohol selections from a good inexpensive wine to a high end bottle of scotch! Prices are fair and even during the pandemic they were consistent, consistent, consistent. That says a lot. Thanks guys!🤗

How does this place have good reviews? Lol overpriced and bad customer service. Pretty sure the cashier up charged me on a few items that were already overpriced. I also bought an expired snickers bar and didn’t realize it (most of their candy is expired so remember to check) and all the homeless people surround this location so be prepared to be harassed as well.

The girls are always working late and super nice. Store is always open until 2am daily. They have a great selection.

I can’t get over this shop. I was really fascinated by the huge collection of wines they had. I really loved their wines because it has a great taste and good aroma. The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable. She helped me in choosing a great bottle of wine that would be nice to give as a present for my colleague’s sent off party. What a lovely wine shop. A must-visit.

.Cons: Open every day from 9-2 (*See Pros)-This is the ONLY store that’s open until 2:00, but they’ll close early without warning or for any apparent reason which is super frustrating/disappointing. The constant crowd of people that clutter the main doorway and sidewalk are never pleasant- They’ll make lewd comments or catcalls, ask for handouts, harass you about what you bought/where you’re going, and can get aggressive if ignored. It has been enough to deter me completely on more than a few occasions. (No, the store did not invite them, but in 10 years not once have i seen or heard anyone ask them to clear out or even to just be respectful of the patrons).Pros: Excellent location just off 30th & El Cajon with street-side & alley entrances. Open every day from 9-2(*See Cons). Friendly, family owned & ran store with VERY reasonable prices. The building is old and feels a bit grungy, but if you look it really is kept very clean. Huge beer & alcohol selection and solid selection of grocery & last-minute items. Cash/credit/EBT accepted (though, as others noted, card payments seem to annoy them).In a nutshell: If you keep your head down and get through the front door, it’s definitely worth it.

I live in Australia and my son lives in San DiegoMy internet search showed some good reviews for Pacific Liquor and so I telephoned this morning as I wanted to arrange to use my Credit Card to pay for some liquor that I want to gift to my son and his wife for Christmas (he is very much into beer)I used to do this when they lived in Oakland. I pay with my Credit Card and then my son comes and selects liquor to that value or moreI spoke to a Vanessa and started to explain my situation, and the line went dead. I redialed, someone answered and then the line went dead. I tried again. By my FOURTH try, my call went to fax!! I waited an call again - Vanessa answered the phone and said I had the wrong number!!Is this the way Pacific Liquor does business? – it is most disappointing and is not in keeping with the good reviews – I guess you don’t want business from AustraliaAs I said – most disappointing – I will try another venue in San DiegoOh - your staff could be courteous enough to listen to what is being said.Merry Xmas

Pacific liquor is a place you can go for more than just liquor. Its also a place to go to pick up groceries. Never too expensive. Its more like a convenience store that sells liquor. And its right on 30th and El cajon. It always stays open till just right before 2:00 a.m.

One of the few beer stores open at 11 p.m. in that area but alot of odd individuals just hanging around but not the stores fault its just a sign of the times. Real nice folks own it been there forever the store i mean.

This is my go-to liquor store! This is the ONLY place that I know of that is open until 2 AM. Friendly owners and workers who are always more than happy to help you.

I think i was up charged a bit here. Cant say for certain because i have no itemized receipt. Service was strictly monetary. And when i asked for a receipt was met with attitude because i didnt pay cash.

I love coming here when I have a hankering for something Belgian or sour and dont feel like making an outing of it. Awhile back I found a Monks Flemish Ale, a sour selection that I think I recently saw at Small Bar. I hope that means it was popular and coming to town! I love local brews, but I love the Belgians too! And Pacs selection is massive! Matthew C. is right, this is beer nerd paradise!

Pacific Liquor is that old reliable liquor store that has evolved with the times and carries an awesome selection of craft beer, but also still has all your cheap liquor needs. The store is well-organized and beers are arranged by region. There is a large selection of Belgian beers and wine as well.

I frequent this location for hard to find European beers. The European selection is mostly German and Belgian beers. California and neighborhood brewaries are well represented too. Honest and very friendly staff. Also good prices on good burbon.
