They fixed a screw in the tire of my wife’s Tesla in less than five minutes, and for less than $20. No appointment. They checked the tread depth and pressures of the other tires while also replacing a missing valve cap for no extra cost.As others have said - this is a great small business run by some friendly and honest folk.

You can order the new tires of your choice online at TireRack, have the tires shipped direct to Nielsen, and they will quickly and efficiently mount the new tires on your wheels at a very fair price.

I’ve been getting gas and oil changes here for more than 10 years. The guys who own it and run it are solid, trustworthy people. The full serve is a great way for my daughter to get a quick once over on her car. They treat you like family.

Had a slow leak in my tire. I pulled in, the guy came right out, found the nail. Fixed it while I waited and made sure all my tires were the same pressure. $17.50 and I was back on the road in 10 minutes or less. Very friendly and nice. So happy to have found them. Thank You!

Awesome experience, today was my first time here at Nielsen. My tire was low, I asked for help and the tire that was low, come to find out had a small nail in it. Ive been coming here for 20 years for tire installations (via TireRack) and auto maintenance/repair. Superior service and no nonsense prices. Yes, an appointment is required but what do you expect from mechanics you can absolutely trust.

These guys have been around forever and theyre locally owned which I love. They always do a great job and Im always happy with their services. Whenever I go on a road trip I fill my tank and they happily give my car a once over for free.

Excellent local automotive shop. In fact for some amazing reason the businesses at this corner (a shootout to Bob and Kevins) are the reason I love living in San Carlos. As a customer and neighbor, you can sense they really care. Not only do they give you the warm and fuzzy but they also deliver on getting the job done and at a reasonable price. Recently I had the misfortune of a bubble in my tires caused by the higher profiled island. Not only was Chris empathetic of my situatio (apparently it happens a lot) but he was truly a godsend providing both a temporary and long term solution going above and beyond. I gladly bring my business to them.

Great family run business Chris & Jeff are great guys .old fashion gas station with a full service option. You can even get FREE air to fill your tires. Which is unheard of . And Chirs offers fresh eggs from his ranch.

I found a jewel in this Automotive Service Station, they offer Full Service at the gas pump. Also, they were a life saver fixing a flat tire after 6 pm on a Friday night. They were open until 7 pm. If you want Full Service including checking under the hood and tire pressure, this is the Place. Say Hi to Chris for me.

Ive been going to Niesen for nearly 20 years, and am totally happy here. Gas pump is 24 hour. Staff is nice and professional. Owners know me (and many others) by name. Excellent place to have major work or oil change done. Also, theyll install tires if you order them through TireRack. A good, trustworthy mechanic is hard to find, and I trust my car to the staff here. As mentioned, they are good which means busy, so book ahead for major service or a few days out for oil change. Great to have a local business like this in San Carlos. Keep up the great work!

I almost never write reviews but feel obligated to put in a few words to recommend the crew at Nielsen, ie., dave, jeff et al (no German makes though). We live in the same town and are really fortunate to have them take care of our 17-year old Lexus LS for many years - in fact, the only reason why we keep the car for so long.To make a long story short on how we came upon Nielsen: After the original factory warranty period ended the car had a second starter issue in 3 years and the dealer told us it should be replaced again. Note for the LS replacing the starter is a big job because of its awkward location. Skeptical we swallowed the diagnostic fee to seek a second opinion and looked up Nielsen - who determined, correctly, that it was just a bad battery. That was 60K miles ago and we have stayed with them since.We all know good (and honest) auto shops are very precious. Nielsen should be on your list.

I came for an oil change. They let you make an appointment, and it takes about an hour. There is a waiting room.
