Budget Transmission in San Bdno (on E Street) is the only place my car guy husband will take our cars. They dont just do transmissions, either. They fixed our sons truck quickly and for a great price. They also fixed our other sons truck, which I kept saying was possessed because no one seemed to be able to fix it. Budget persevered and fixed it! He was thrilled. The employees are great about communicating whats going on with your vehicle along the way. Their prices are always fair. Everyone I have referred to them has been happy with their service as well, which makes me happy. Kim, the owner, always makes sure the customers needs are met 100%. Great business!

This place is a lifesaver! My wife and I were on a mini vacation up in Running Springs when I had a transmission issue. Budget always takes great care of my daughters truck. We were told the truck (which is 14 years old) needed lower ball joints. Let me start off with, I believe this mechanic is honest and priced acceptably. With that being said the customer service and communication from them needs to improve. I brought my car in as it was not shifting right and went into limp mode. They kept my car for a week and a half...each time I had to call to find out what was going on, they never updated me when they said they would. Also the timeline seems a bit excessive for a place that specializes in transmission.

My sons car broke down on Thursday night. Friday called Brian at Budget who arranged towing, and by 10:30 the car was in their hands. Couldnt believe that Tuesday, a full day early, got the call the car was ready. Fair price, quick reliable service, they were awesome!

So i dropped my car off on a Tuesday to have the transmission replaced got a voicemail that following Friday when i was suppose to pick it up that it wouldnt be ready till Wed or Thur of the following week so a week and day later mind you it was suppose to take 3-4days i get a call its done my husband and I go to pick it up and the man has charged me 50 some dollars for another piece he bought without our permission which we refused to pay he then said im not going to argue over $50 brought my car out i drove it home and parked it later that night my husband was going to the store and my lock mechanism and driver door handles broke now i cant even get in my car unless i open my door from the passenger side im so very dissapointed with this place id never recommend them to anyone id give them (-) stars if possible beware people. I will be taking my car back tomorrow to give them a chance to make this right. I really feel the guy didnt argue over the $50 because he knew his guys had broke my door abd just wanted us out of there.

This is by far the best automatove repair in the inland empire. Why cant more people be as honesr and transparent as them. I own a massage company and customer service is the top of my list for my clients. This is why I use budget. Some of the most professional and high skilled and affordable company around. Ive always had great service and Ive never felt taken advantage of. My family has been coming here for years. My Father has had cars fixed here since the 80s.

Had a terrible time there, charged me 4 thousand dollars. Took them a month to fix the car. It broke over and over again when they said they had fixed it. They refused to give a refund, they refused to give back my old transmission instead (Im assuming because they sold it) Lies and Deciet all the way through. And then when they finally had fixed it it broke 6months later. Just long enough for the warranty to expire. Now Im stuck with a useless car that hasnt ran in ages. If I could give zero stars I would. Thanks Budget, for robbing me blind.

I took my vehicle to this establisment a few years ago for a transmission rebuild, after they supposedly finished the job my transmission started leaking so I took it back them 2 additional times and after each colossal waste of time the transmission still leaked. I then moved out of town at which time the transmission they supposedly had fixed for the 3rd time started leaking again and they informed me that I should take it to another shop to have it fixed under their associations insurance which I did.I drive this vehicle a few times a year and after about 2.5 years the transmission started leaking a 4th time so I took the vehicle back to them a few weeks ago to see if they would honor their work. The guy who normally sits behind the counter informed me after a very slow inspection that it was not the transmission leaking and said it would cost $600 to fix the now leaking rear transfer case and I would need to leave the car with them for several days to completely dismantle my system as he put it...... I decided that due to the terrible previous service I would take my car to another shop with a great reputation to fix this rear transfer case leak....Well it turns out that the guy behind the counter and the people at Budget Transmission are complete liars.. (surprising) as the shop who fixed my car in a couple of hours today (I kept the receipt for anyone interested) reported that it was in fact a transmission leak, the rear transfer case was dry as a bone and they did the work that Budget Transmission should have fixed for free for half the quoted price.Please please do not bring your vehicle to these people to work on, they will just take advantage of your good nature and rob you.A very dishonest disreputable company.Response to below:There is only one Budget Transmission on E Street..... you guys screwed up and deflecting only makes it worse....

If I could give this place a negative quantity of stars I would.Ive taken two trucks there, one multiple times. Their employees are incompetent, and they charge a fortune without even fixing the problem. Ive gone their for coolant leaks, in which I had to take the truck back 3 times, towed back down from the side of the highway each time because it wouldnt make it. Then theres my favorite, absolute favorite: I had a transmission leak in my truck that was OBVIOUS. took it down, said it was coming from the timing chain cover repair they had done previously they went in, fixed the timing chain cover coolant leak, took the truck home, still leaking trans fluid. We take it down again and they say its fluid coming from the brake booster. What? first of all, theres no liquid there. Ended up replacing the part ourselves because its an older vehicle. Still fluid leaking. We take it to AMCO, its a trans leak, they fix it in less than a few hours, only charged $160, compared to this place where its not uncommon to get into the thousands per repair.Honestly? I just want this place to be put out of business.Can someone just tell me how a place called auto and TRANSMISSIONS cant spot a TRANSMISSION leak?????????

Just had to rebuild my transmission that budget transmission had built. Just found out from the transmission shop that is rebuilding the transmission again that even though I paid for a billet torque converter and HD clutches from Budget Transmission. None of the parts are in my transmission. This is Fraud! I will take this up with Budget Transmission and give them the opportunity to refund me the difference between a stock rebuild and what I paid for.

Way over priced go somewhere else

I was visiting the area on a weeks vacation from central Illinois, when I began to have a transmission act up. This situation is quite disconcerting when you are 2,000 miles from home. I stopped by Budget unannounced and saw Brian Walden busier than I dont know what, fielding phone call after phone call. As he got a break in between them, we discussed my issue, and he took great care to get a diagnostic tool, read the check code my car was throwing, and discussed the problem with me. Fortunately, we decided that while something is indeed acting up just a bit, it wasnt problematic to the point that the car would need significant repair. I respect that this business did not attempt to pressure me into a repair that wasnt immediately necessary. I also greatly appreciate the time that Brian took with me to review the problem, and allay the fears of an out of state visitor. I really wish all businesses were more like this one!!!!!

☡**WARNING**☡ABSOLUTE WORST TRANSMISSION SHOP EVER!!! I wish it were possible to give negative stars it would without a doubt be -5 Stars !!! I wish i had another arm so i can give them 🖓🖓🖓 thumbs down! The whole shop is a complete joke! Had to rebuild my transmission according to Brian the owner of the shop, built to new most definitely is NOT built to new and Took waaaayyy longer than was estimated. Once I got my vehicle I had many break downs literally blocks away from the shop. When i say many i mean many. I had to take the car back because the car was still constantly leaking transmission fluid, skipping gears and making a weird noise. Soooo many time back and forth. Tbh more than i care to tell at the moment for sheer embarrassment... well say more than 10 less than 20. Would always get the run around. Never a clear and precise answer. Finally took it to other mechanic to check ONLY visually what he sees. They didnt put all my fuel line back in place with the brakets so the fuel line was scrapping against a moving part of the transmission. Could have caused a serious injury or death to myself and my family if the line where to tear and cause a fire. I informed Brian and all he had nothing to say. Also the gearbox assembly was missing 2 screws. ⚰☠⚰☠BRIAN KILLED MY CAR ☠☠☠SAVE YOUR MONEY GO ELSEWHERE ☠☠☠

I took my wifes BMW to budget transmissions, they diagnosed the problem contacted my warranty company got the repair covered, completed a repair and got the vehicle back to me in a timely manner. I will be going back for regular maintenance from now on.

I have a one of a kind suburban with a cummins engine and allison 1000 transmission. My husband and I installed the transmission ourselves and ran into a few problems beyond our knowledge. We called many shops that specialized in allison and none of them would even touch my vehicle. I called budget and they said bring it in! Problem was diagnosed and fixed quickly. They kept in contact with us and with a 3rd party who supplied our transmission conversion kit to figure it out. I would recommend this shop to anyone! Very happy customers!!!

August 17, 2016. I am very disappointed, angry and discussed with this company. I took my car on for a repair. When I picked up my car, I was told they had to disconnect my Heater core to make their repair and I will have to pay $700.00 to have my Heater repair. What a company, they take your car apart then charge you to fix what they disconnected. Take Your car There At Your RISK.

Dont come here! I took my Toyota to these guys for power steering problems, they had my car for 3 weeks! when I got my car back, the power steering was still out, the cooler for the ps was disconnected, leaking ps fluid because of a loose line, the new ps pump burnt out because the cooler was not connected, He told me they put new hard and soft lines but when I checked they were old and cracked/bent, the ps pully had a chip in it and should have been replaced but they never looked at it like i told them to. and charged me for a new rack and pinion but never installed it nor touched my rack, they just lied to me over the phone and kept my car for almost a month, I had to go to another shop and they fixed it in 2 days, now this is going to be a legal matter and Im in touch with the B.A.R. avoid this place, there crooked incompetent mechanics and liars! very rude customer service too. I have no reason to lie, take your car anywhere else but here.
