September 2021: Stopped at the Alamo (because we remembered it), and visited their gift shop as well. The gift shop has a lot of interesting items and we came home with a few. Gift shop prices, of course. The shop is big and clean and really aggressive about COVID precautions. Armed security was present at the time of our visit.

Impossible to travel to San Antonio and not make a stop in the Alamo Gift shop. The whole complex is under construction, so it’s difficult to park and easily enter the building. But a visit is still worth your time.

ITs a neat little gift shop smack dab in the center of the Alamo itself. The building is very big, clean, well, kept and just nice to look at inside and out. ITs pretty busy, I didnt get anything because the things I wanted were pricey but...the service looked like they knew what they were doing and seemed polite enough. My only complaints are those prices mentioned and...admittedly I dunno if its ETHICAL to turn one of the historic buildings in the Alamo into a gift shop but...what do I know, right?Edit: Added a front picture, nothing from inside as it was REALLY crowded!

Truthfully Im not normally a customer but an employee here.Fall isnt always the best time to shop here due to inventory approaching/happening, October should be when we get back to nearly full stock so please be patient with us.Well try our best to find you what you want but sometimes were out of stock for that item. Also we cant show/sell you your photos because the photos arent part of the giftshop. Those would be by the door of the giftshop. Photos and the giftshop are different departments.Another also, theres a website for the giftshop so its possible to order what you know will cause trouble if youre flying home.

Apart how absurdly expensive some of the items are, this gift shop has a great range of Alamo and related Texas products

Worked at the Alamo and they were so unprofessional from the start. my grandpa just passed early Friday morning and I was trying to call in, called 3 times and no answer, didn’t even take me to a voice mail (and I am one to call always) showed up for my shift and they expected me to work even though they were going to fire me?? They never went over any rules on calling in or missing days. Their stuff is also very expensive and very cheap. You’ll find out once you purchase anything from them

Lots of unique items and souvenirs. Although some of those souvenirs are a little pricey (which is typical of a tourist destination) they arent too ridiculous. This is one of the better gift shops I have been to.

Went into the Alamo gift shop and wanted to bye some fudge but noticed there were roaches in ever box of fudge I picked up, i told the lady at the register about the roaches and she told me to eat them with my fudge, I was disgusted, I kept looking around and then I heard the other workers laughing at me and calling me roach boy, I won’t be back

This shop is placed directly within the mission site. You can find interesting memorabilia, but if you wish to save some money it could be better to buy in the shops near Alamo missions, since you can find very similar things at a cheaper price.

For a tourist gift shop, its one of the better ones. Good selection of Alamo and Texas themed stuff and prices are not outrageous. Can you get similar stuff for less elsewhere? Probably, but proceeds help maintain this important historical site, and there are gifts in all price ranges.

When we visited the Alamo we decided to go into the Alamo Gift Shop. It is very inviting and easy to get to with two entries into the store. There are a lot of great things here. There is something here for everyone. From toys for the kids, sauces and spices, clothing and more. We didnt purchase anything during our visit but, we browsed the whole store and saw many neat items!

Wow! It was very impressive. The range and assortment of gifts, souvenirs, and collectibles is very cool. The shirts were also imaginative. I know we made purchases andd we were happy to learn a portion of the proceeds go to care and upkeep of this historic treasure.

Shop there on May 8th. Purchased 2 items.Flew home May 9th after gift shop was closed. Which I did not open until I got home. Unpacked my purchase and discovered that one of the items wasmissing.Called gift shop today, left message. Received return call. Spoke with manager. Informed him of the problem. He stated nothing he could do. He started That he couldnt prove if I received the item or not. Made me feel like I was trying to get something for nothing.I asked if I gave him the item # if he could check. He said no. So then I asked if i could be refunded the amount I am now out. He stated the same thing as above.Basically Im S.O.L.Be sure to double check items you purchased. You may have a problem with this too .They maybe trying to sell items twice, for extra money!!!!

I called to order a cap for my son and was transferred to the manager to place the order to be shipped - I checked my bank for the transaction an hour later and I find that my card had been used to purchase products online from Macys - when I called back to discuss the order I was told that Stephanie would call me back the next day - today I get a call from the manager the same guy who took my card information and he proceeds to deny any wrongdoing - when I asked why he was calling instead of Stephanie I was told she is in arms length of me if you want to speak to her; plus, my Order was never placed. BEWARE OF YOUR CREDIT CARD AND DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE- the manager could have cared less and obviously the director doesnt either. Its YOUR reputation people!

This gift shop is just outside the Alamo building. It is probably worth a stop if you come to visit the Alamo but their selection is surprisingly limited given the size of the store. There are a fair number of alamo themed gifts that you could pick up here, many printed items, like hats and shirts, and some more unique, like a flag that was flown over the alamo. There are also the typical gift store draws that will attract kids.
