After returning too many times to count, I must update 4 star review to an outstanding 5 star review. The staff at all locations are a pleasure to deal with and they will help you search all their stores inventory at any location for you. Unless another blockbuster goes out of business, this is where I will be getting my used movies, cds, and vinyls.

A little outdated now that most stuff is streamable. Prices are kinda high for things you can get free with a subscription to Netflix or by having a fire stick.

CD Exchange uses a company called The Retail Equation (TRE) to gather personal, private information under the pretense that its to manage returns and exchanges in their store.When you make a return to the store, they take an electronic scan of your driver’s license for accessing this confidential information. It is done without any verbal or written notice or notification. If you should refuse, question or comment on their collection of your personal and private information, via the scanning your drivers license, they will not let you return/exchange any items.The clerk provided a corporate number to call and discuss the policy and procedure they use. The number he provided only connects to an answering service and they relay a message to whomever for follow-up. A secondary problem to obtaining your personal and private information is that they have never responded to repeated calls and messages and make no attempt to contact you back.Be aware, be advised, be forewarned and be ready to have your personal and private information collected and shared with TRE and whomever else they sell your info to.The experience was overall okay until encountering the privacy issue. Because of the privacy issue and lack of communication or follow-up, I will no longer be revisiting this retailer.

Reminiscent of the days where you could go to a Hollywood Video or Blockbuster and rent movies, the set up is much the same. A wide selection of movies on both Blu-ray and DVD. Split up by genre, the store is in good order and nice. They dont have public restrooms so be warned.

Found a old rock and roll CD...I am in to 60-70s music and it is getting hard to find in new shape.,...

Love the prices just wish they carried more foreign films.

The best selection of cds, and dvds I have found locally. Great prices and great customer service.

They have a wide selection of Marvel and sci-fi movies on DVD, but CDs with my favorite music genres (death metal, deathcore, reggaetón, cumbia, indie, classical, soundtrack) are harder to find than a unicorn in the wild.

The person that helped me went above and beyond. Very helpful very attractive always have a good outcome when we go there

Love this place because it reminds me of blockbuster. You can almost get everything and for a good price.

Went in to sell my movie collection that was just sitting in my closet in a tub. Very fair offer. Definitely come here if you are trying to get rid of your unwanted titles. Fair warning, they do not take everything. If they have no need for it the will send you home with it. Glad I came here first. Half priced books offered me less than 2 bucks for the ones they didnt buy, and that was like almost 60 movies. Unwanted but still, 2 bucks for all of them! Id rather they just be like cd exchange and tell you no thank you we dont want those.

It was a very easy process to trade or sell your CD/DVDs. Brent was very nice and quick. My only issue is that if you bring In ALOT of CDs & DVDs to be sold they dont give you a list or let you know how much the item was worth. My advice is dont cash in a DVD Set. Your better off selling those online.

The Manager Chris was very rude, the prices are super high, I ask him if that was the right price and he said with a ugly attitude that it may be more.

As previous comments suggested the manager Amber was very unpleasant. I was informed she no longer works there upon my first visit to this location. The opening salesman was very helpful in purchasing some movies from me and directing me to my requested location to purchase others. Good first time experience!

You can’t take drinks in for the extended amount of time you will be there. That kind of works out but pee before you go. They have no bathroom and not a single place in that strip mall will let you go either. I had to walk to a Mexican restaurant to go and it was awkward.We don’t live near there but our son was spending the day with my father so we ran and did this. They wanted us to come back tomorrow to pick our movies up and whatever they were going to buy them for. It was two hours to close. We didn’t have as much as I used to have to sell and I would get out in half an hour. There were two people working. It got busy at times but one of the guys just disappeared!They had agreed to quickly go through them and we knew that meant that they wouldn’t purchase as many but every little bit counts. So the other guy comes out eventually and they spent more time joking than working and finally one guy hunkered down and went through the movies. They were fair but we got way more movies back than I felt we would have if they were doing things differently.I had a bad experience but it’s the only place that pays a fair price around here. Well, there was a better one at the Forum at live oak (same place just different store). This was too far a drive for this though.

I was hit and runnover by a car when I was 14. By law-abiding now, i can have no damned life... The service i find to receive from this place and the prices make it a good means of finding way to pass the time.

This location has more variety than CD exchange. I was able to find those chard to find CDs. I also negotiated some of the prices down. Good customer service.

Good selection great prices.If they dont have what your looking for they will check their other stores and see if you cant pick it up or if they cant get it in for you asap.

Overall it was OK although I was given the wrong information.

The place was extremely clean, it smelled nice and fresh and it was very neatly organized. The place has wonderful selections and we even left with a brand new CD.

Talk about trustworthy we went here to get some movies and we were there for a while the customer service was great but even bigger than that after we left I got maybe 10 minutes away from my house in Cibolo and something said to me wheres my pocketbook and we looking in the car and going crazy drove all the way back to CD Exchange to find out that they had my pocketbook how phenomenal is that in addition to the great customer service a store you can trust

Great variety of Dvds with friendly staff always willing to help you find what you are looking for. They will call around to other stores if they dont have it and have them hold the item for you or order it for free and contact you when it comes in.

Its like a thrift store for music and movies. I love the hunt for the treasure. I have found stuff thats hard to find or too expensive to buy new. And I still love having CDs.

It was dead at this store and the only employee there,I presume to be the manager was rude,cold,and when I asked to see something he was visibly annoyed as if I was bothering him. The store was empty and he did not appear busy. I did make a purchase only because I had found something for my daughter she really wanted. Would not suggest going to this location of CD/DVD exchange,other locations have always been better !

Find unusual movies here...took home a b&w DVD of The Grapes of Wrath...cool!

Good if youre Metal head...Literally had one R&B album in the entire store. Jazz section limited to about 20 or so records. Very clean and organized with friendly staff but if youre looking for soul, jazz or R&B look elsewhere. Starting to find that is about par for the course for these genres of music in this city. Here I come Austin...dont please dont disappoint...

Love this place Im a movie buff so when I feel nostalgic or retro and want to find an old flick to see this is the perfect place the people are friendly and its really easy to find what your looking for, if they dont have it they can point you to a location that does.

I have spent way more money on movies than I ever intended to at DVD Exchange. Great selection and competitive pricing on most items. Our collection has grown exponential since I started visiting all the locations around San Antonio.

This last visit was not as good as others. Sales team must have been sick. No Hello or asked if I needed help finding something.Common courtesy is why I spend money at one place more than another. Game stop didnt have what I wanted, but they can find it, order it and they speak to me.

This is a good place to get used DVDs, CDs, and video games. The prices for the most part are reasonable. My son got three movies there for 20.00.

Was looking for CDsLed Zeppelin during 1969....Staff wasvery helpful, led me to section andfound 3 CDs.....which I purchased.Store buys CDs, Vinyl records whichI have plenty to Sell of both. LocationIs just up the street from where I live.Not into Games or movies but theyhave plenty of each to purchase.
