Dr Anderson is on point. She is efficient and quick. But also personable and makes the experience feel personal. Very gentle in her actions but firm about what she is saying. What a great doctor I highly recommend. For the past year my work insurance did not cover Visionworks but I switched to a stand alone plan for next year just so I can go back to see HER particularly. If I could give more stars I 100% would. I already scheduled my appointment for January and I think if your looking for a super great eye doctor she is the one to choose. The staff are friendly and fun. It’s a pretty small office is my only con but I mean if you’re scheduled I’m sure it’s not a big deal because they are fairly punctual compared to most doctors. Again I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Worst optometrist office ever. Picked up my glasses and cant see. The prescription is completely wrong. The optometrist said he was tweaking my prescription, but instead changed it completely. Left multiple voicemails for the office that never answers a call and no one has called back.
Website hours are wrong. Door hours are wrong. Some associates at this location are rude but that is this location. Back to Northwest side location, great service there.

I went to this visionworks location on 5/6/21 to request an estimate for new glasses. Price was very high (about 2x compared with other recent orders - were a family of 7 and we all wear glasses) so I decided to consider other options after going thru the arm twisting to make you buy right there and then. The lady wasnt happy I wanted to do this but hey, its our basic right as consumers and we all exercise it, herself included Im sure.Got a much more competitive estimate at a different place the next day, but visionworks had already pulled an authorization from my insurance and refused to cancel so the other place could continue the process. It makes it go from a no biggie (40 mins wasted) to a really bad experience.It is wrong to punish people because they decided to consider options from your competition. No more visionworks for us, thank goodness for the abundance of alternatives.
This place has the most amazing friendly staff. Nickolas has been such an amazing help both times to me and my husband when picking out my both pairs of glasses. Including getting lenses for my other pair of glasses. He is super genuine, friendly, informative and patient with his customers and really goes above and beyond for them. He is a truly outstanding employee that makes me feel confident in my purchase and comfortable with my new pairs of glasses and also a big thanks to Cecy who was also super sweet and friendly when I came into today to pick up my glasses. Just like what Nickolas did for me on my other pair of glasses, Cecy made sure that my glasses fit comfortably on my face and that I felt completely comfortable and satisfied with my new glasses. She also made sure to go above and beyond to make sure my glasses that I had lenses put in not only looked great but the fishing wire was adjusted properly. Nickolas and Cecy are just truly amazing staff and are the reason I love coming here to this location for my glasses!
I would like to thank Gil or Guillermo for being so attentive to my needs on addressing an issue trying to replace my frames. He went way beyond what I expected and was a very polite person. He expressed concern despite finding out that they were no longer available. THANKS GIL
Horrible experience. Horrible service. It has been over a month and we have not received my daughters “trial” pair of contacts. They have her 6 month supply sitting there but we can’t use them because we wouldn’t be able to return them if they don’t work. How is the 6 month supply there before the trial pair? Now they are saying the “trial” pair will not be in until September 14! Does that make sense for a trial pair to take 7 weeks? That’s even if they come in on September 14.
I went there a month ago to pick out my glasses and its almost a month now since I received them I called twice in two weeks and they tell me theyll get back to me and they never do this is the worst experience ever and my glasses are broken
The wait time was not long at all. I filled out my paper work and with in minutes i was called to the back. The dr was very informative and helped me understand the condition. Thank you
I just now called to see if my eye glasses were ready for pickup. I was asked several questions that I did answer. Only to be told that everyone there is busy right now with other customers, and when someone was free they would call me back. You should have someone there on staff to be able to answer questions, instead of making us feel less important. This is ridiculous! I paid in full and cash for my pair of glasses. All I wanted was a simple question answered, if they were ready or not. I know when the manager Aiysha was there at this store and her staff you always felt like top priority. Its so sad that they replaced her and her staff with the staff they have now. These people have no customer courtesy at all and definitely do not make you feel welcomed.
**Absolutely horrible customer service**I got my prescription back in May and had sever blurred vision and head aches associated with the glasses that I just bought. Come to find out later when I went to a different optometrist that my prescription was COMPLETELY WRONG! I explained the issue to Vision Works thinking that they would rectify their wrong doing, but they will not even acknowledge that they were wrong.I warn everyone that reads this not to go here for their glasses or contacts. There are much better doctors out there with way better customer service.
My glasses needed adjustment so I stopped. The lady in the store was very rude and said that go sit down Ill get to you but from now on make an appointment. it was like it was a bother for her to take care of me because I didnt have an appointment. I said forget it I bought the glasses here I just thought I would stop and get that taken care of while I was in the neighborhood. She was not helpful at all. I asked where the next closest vision works was because I didnt want to be dealing with her. She resisted to tell me.
I came in today hoping to be seen as a walk in. My schedule opened up, so I thought I would take the chance and see if they would take me in. The receptionist up front told me, Dr. Anderson was booked today but that they would squeeze me in. I filled out the paperwork and was quickly taken in. The level of professionalism Dr. Anderson carries is AMAZING!! She is so thorough in explaining everything! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her services as she stands out amongst all other Optometrist. I am scheduling my familys eye exam as I write this. Thank you so much Dr. Anderson, you & your staff are wonderful!
Bad experience at this place. I was looking for a new place to get an exam and then order my contacts. Nicholas is the one who ordered my contacts. He said they would be in by Tuesday. I didn’t receive a call or a text that day. I called the next day (Wednesday) and a girl said they would call me back. Nicholas called me 3 hours later and said my contacts were ready. I go and picked them up and my trial pair wasn’t ordered. He blamed “whoever ordered them” and then she said he will order the contacts “free of charge” of course its free of charge. They are the ones who made the mistake. At this point I’m not going back for the trials. Never going back to that store. My benefits start over in January so lesson learned. They don’t care about people. They just see another number when you walk in. If you want to be treated like family don’t go to this place
Came into pick up My daughters glasses & Kim helped us in a quick & timely fashion & she was patient with us & she helped us with adjusting her glasses the way they needed 2 fit her without them hurting face at all... then she was able 2 help me pick out glasses for myself & wrote down the information that I needed for my prescription glasses for me to come back w get my glasses done which I did today ( 8/23/18) & she was quick helped get us out as quickly as possible & fixed my glasses & my daughters glasses were they weren’t falling off or hurting the back of our ears anymore...When I come back she will b the only person I will have help me & when I hear of anyone needing new glasses or anything else I will recommend them come here & ask for KIM..Thanks Kim see ya next time...!!!!
This place was great at helping me. I thought I was going to have to purchase a new pair and that my glasses were broken. Aisha Howard was friendly and courteous. She and her assistant worked on my glasses and got them fixed up, and I did not have to purchase a new pair. I definitely recommend this location

My old glasses broke so I came here due to a sale on 2 pairs of glasses with anti-glare, scratch resistant lenses for $149.Not only was the store clean and tidy, it was extremely appealing. I was able to pick out my frames easily from numerous glasses displays with the help of an employee and the frames were ordered by said employee within 5 minutes. I spent longer picking out my frames! The whole trip took me 15 minutes.My glasses arrived within 2 weeks and picking them up was a breeze. I was greeted by two very friendly employees who grabbed my glasses quickly and without a problem. They quickly cleaned them and let me try them on before packing them up for me to take home.The glasses themselves are sturdy and pretty snazzy; much better than the pair I had ordered online from a different retailer.Overall, I would gladly return here whenever I need new frames or glasses supplies.
This is a great VisionWorks location. Every staff member is very helpful and gives top-notch customer service. If youre looking for great value in the eye wear you purchase there, they work hard to help you find it. They went the extra mile to check all the different ways I could get my glasses and I got some great features at a great price . My daughters have great glasses at a great value. I love that you can just walk in and get them adjusted or repaired very easily.They have the best store manager in San Antonio, she makes sure her customers are treated well and her staff do things the right way. Amazing customer service from both the Doctor and Monique who helped me ring everything up with a discount! Honestly they were both so nice! I gave a 4 out of 5 because the lady at the front of the Doctor’s office had her headphones in listening to music while I was giving my information and didn’t tell me that my contact exam wasn’t covered so that was a surprise payment but still not too bad! Overall experience, though, was fantastic and I highly recommend going there!
Aishya and Christine where a major help. I came in with broken glasses and they were able to work together and give the best service and even went as far as to get my new pair of glasses the same day I walked in close to closing time. They really helped me out when I needed it, great staff.

Overall, I would say my experience was great, but there are a few things that could have made it better.The atmosphere felt very clinical and still, which could have easily been solved if there was jazz or instrumental music playing in the background. When you can hear the fellow customers every moves in the store it makes for an uncomfortable wait. It would even be nice to have monitors or tvs in the store that advertise products or have something playing.In addition, I was a little confused which door lead to the store and which door was for the eye exam labs, but soon figured it out.I would say that the best part of my visit was the warm welcome and willingness to work with my needs. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Michael and he helped by asking my daily needs and what I would want in my pair of glasses. The process was quick and easy unlike other locations that I have visited in the past.Overall 3/5 Great customer service, but needs music or background noise. Maybe some form of signage of the lab and store.
Im so grateful for the help and attention my daughter received even before we arrived when I first called hoping information from prior visits would take care of the paper work. With little help on my part and several tries later my daughters file was located and being frustrated, this was a relief. Am I the only one who cant remember their kids year of birth? Still the person on the line was patient, suggestive and assisted me exactly how I needed so that we could get in on the same day before closing and this is already at the end of the day but we were still scheduled for a visit and not a hint of reluctance or attitude because I can admit I wasnt very helpful as my wife usually handles these things. When we got to our appointment we were treated with courtesy and consideration and I say consideration because after a long day I was exhausted so while my daughter was going through the exam I was asleep with my head back catching flies. LOL completely unaware. When my daughter came out of the exam room she was all smiles and looking forward to picking up her new frames and we were sent off in High Spirits, its just the atmosphere there and I have to say that I appreciate the care provided to us. Thank you to the staff for another great experience and as long as Im responsible for getting my daughters glasses you will have our business and high recommendations and again thank you
We went to get my husband two glasses for the price of one . They are very friendly and helped out so much . I was busy with my two kids and the lady helped my husband pick out a pair glasses that he really liked . She was very kind and polite. The rest of the staff was also very nice as well . I highly recommend if your in need of a pair of new glasses to go check them out they have a large variety and are very helpful.

Lens Crafters at North Star quoted me $621 on almost the same pair I got at Vision Works!! Highly recommend Vision Works!! Asia is the BEST!!
If you follow my reviews I normally would give good or fair reviews. However twice this location has given me bad service. 3 weeks ago, First they leave me on the phone 25 min and forget all about me so I drove over there still on hold. Of course they apolgized and I forgave that. 2nd time(today) I call, ask if my daughters glasses are ready and Im told they will call back shortly. 1h 1/2 half later I call them just to be told by Asia she wasnt going to call me ! What?? Why not say that on the first conversation so I can drive over there?? She was busy she said. Okay well Ill just put that on your Google review I say!! Vision works I spend way to much money for my family to have bad customer service. Needless to say Ill take my business elsewhere.

I had to update and do an emergency swap with a new prescription, and get new lenses. Aishya, along with the other staff members, totally over delivered. Ridiculous customer service. I called to ask them to fax my warranty info to my new citys Vision Works and the lady told me she couldnt and Id have to come in. I explained I now lived 10 hours away and my local VW said all they needed was a fax. She replies with Theres nothing I can do, you have to come in...I dont have time for his right now Ill call you back. I said would you like my number ?! To which she replied Ill find it. At this point I asked for the manager and she told me she WAS the manager. I hung up and called the 800 number and the lady asked for the name of the girl I spoke with. I called the store back and asked the man who the manager was that I spoke to. He told me the manager wasnt there and hadnt been there all day and the only girl there was not the manager. I relayed this all to the main customer service lady who was able to get my info faxed but I shouldnt have had to deal with that. They are very nice when youre in store but apparently if theres a problem their attitude changes.

Good customer service and they are very nice....but their glasses are terrible. They dont cut their glasses right. For some reason these glasses make me see double. I cant even wear them because even after having them change the lens, my glasses prescription is STILL blurry and every time I take them off its like my eyes are seeing double. Ive never had this experience with glasses. I dont know what type of lens they use but its not the right prescription at all. They kept insisting that it was, but their lenses arent clear. and because of the double sightedness of the glasses, I feel like my vision has gotten worse.Also, they shorted me on my contacts. I didnt realize until it was too late. :-/

I cant believe no one has wrote a review of this location. It all falls on this one RUDE lady. I work in the area and I have heard multiple people complain about the same lady with dark hair and an Russian type accent. Before I was aware to steer clear of her, I went in to try on frames. I felt like I was getting swindled by a used car salesmen. Is this a nation wide franchise or a flea market? I will not aide in the commission of a person with dollar signs in there eyes. She actually fought with a customer in front of me, telling the man he had to wait in line so she could get the commission on his purchase. he was so offended he left, and the other salesperson looked so embarrassed.I think most management would be able to recognize poor sportsmanship in there sales team so now I am thinking the problem is stemming from management. I doubt she is someone who can be reformed, so just let her go. Consider keeping your staff in control and keep an eye on the tension in the air. As an employer it is your duty to also create a team that can work together, and stay professional.All we want is to feel comfortable while we shop.

This is the 3rd time I have attempted to purchase glasses at a Visionworks and each time something has been wrong. This time there was a problem with one of the lenses. This store is about 35 minutes away from my home and I was scheduled to pick them up at 3pm. When I was about 10 minutes from the store I called and thats when they told me there was a problem. A call to let me know ahead of time would have been great. I can definitely say I will never be using another Visionworks. So I get a wait another 7-10 days would be great if they offered faster service, upgrade, or a discount when it is their fault!

I would choose no stars if it was an option. I had gone in to choose frames, type of lense. Everything was squared away even had a quote and decided to go back a couple of days later to pay. Salesman said that was perfectly fine when I decided to go back they would pull my file and would take a couple of minutes to confirm and purchase. Couple of days later I return only to be told there was no record or anything on file wasting my valuable time!! Completely disorganized. Took photos of frames and went elsewhere!
I walked in to the Visionworks at SE Military (City Brooks) with my prescription on hand and the first employee looked at me and called the other employee and asked her if she would help me. The second employee looked at me and demonstrated SHE didnt feel like helping me either. Neither employee greeted me or asked me how they could help me. I felt like I was bothering them. Mind you...the store was empty! I told the first employee Not to worry about it...it was obvious they didnt FEEL like helping me. This happened on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:45 PM. Extremely disrespectful staff...
Aisya is the general manager and is excellent including all the staff. My daughters vision is not to good and needed glasses immediately and they were able to deliver by 12 pm next day!

When I ordered my glasses they said theyd call when they were ready never got a call had to call to check status only to find out my glasses had been there for quite some time. When I went for pick up the lady said I could bring them back whenever for whatever reason even if they needed to be fixed . Called today because my son got a hold of them and broke the arm for them to tell me I dont have warranty & they cant fix them & id have to replace the whole frame
Its been a month and Im still waiting on my glasses to come in. Went in store and git nowhere. All they can say is that it says theyre still being processed. Provided no help.

The employees imitate this excellent customer service, because of the awesome training Ayeisha provides but also because they care about their work. Am very dissatisfied with this place. I bought my glasses and had to return them for repair, then I received my new pair and used the special cloths and the lenses completely scratched up! The Clerk tried to tell me the cloths were dirty so basically I scratched up my own lenses. I have never had lenses do this before and I have been wearing glasses for 30 yrs. I am completely upset. 300.00 wasted. I went back to the store and they tried to sell me a lens protection plan for another 65.00. This is the brook city base location in San Antonio Texas. I do not recommend rip offs

They took a month to get my glasses in enitially, they couldnt get the lenses right. They took two weeks to get replacement lenses because the scratch resistant lenses werent that scratch resistant. I am done with visionworks and their Im sorry, but, evrytime I have an issue with my glasses. They take your phone number and say they are going to call you back and never do.
Very disappointed. Representative that helped me failed to mention anything about purchasing an extra protection plan. Within 3 months my frames broke and my scratch resistant is peeling. So i had to pay out of pocket for my frames while im still stuck with scratched lenses . Soo dumb . Again only came cause of the insurance plan. I really hope we change vision insurance soon. I wouldnt refer anyone 👎👎👎👎.
