This place is wonderful. The staff is professional and friendly. I love the selection of glasses and the optometrist is so nice! Parking is easy and prices are good with my insurance.

Went to location on recommendation from my neice. She had been there last week with her 14 yr old to get him glasses. She was very pleased with her entire experience. I decided to give them a try since I had an unpleasant experience with the one closest to me in Castle Hills. My niece was correct. My experience was great. I wish i could have gotten my glasses today but unfortunately due to my insurance I have to wait 7 to 10 days. 👍 Will be back.

The doctor was good. The assistant doing the vision checks made you feel rushed, she rushed me to the next station after dilating my eyes and gave me no time to adjust. She did not even tell me that the drops were going to burn. It was not a pleasant experience due to the support staff.

I moved to Alamo heights area a few years ago and walked in to visit this place on McCullough to look around and schedule a future appt since I would be in need of a new place to purchase glasses.The ladies working there did not want to be bothered even though it didn’t appear to be busy. I left and gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to call later to schedule an appt and verify they were in network. When I called they were not very nice, put me on hold, then hung up.So, it’s been almost 2 years since and decided to call today to schedule an appt and verify in network. Again, not very nice, placed me on hold and hung up on me again .So, that’s 3 separate times. I will not bother to visit nor would I recommend.

First time patients here and we wanted to say that our visit here was wonderful. Great customer service with folks who are taking our and their safety seriously. Dr. Deviney was professional and caring. We will definitely be returning.

I have not been to an optometrist in quite a while, and the experience was wonderful! The staff and physician are very knowledgeable, and they take the time to answer any questions that you may have. The front desk was very welcoming, and I had a wonderful appointment. I was able to pick up my prescription later that day! Will definitely return for follow up visits!

I visited Dr. Deviney last week for my annual eye exam, and let’s just say I will never visit another eye doctor other than him. Hands down, the best experience I’ve had getting my eyes checked. He was so through and listened to all of my concerns. His staff was very professional and courteous. Today, I went to order my new specks and it was about 20 minutes to closing when I got there, and his staff did not rush me at all. The lady who helped me select my glasses was so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to all of you kind souls at V.S. Olmos Park! I definitely cannot wait to go pick up my new specks!

Dr. Deviney was the best O.D. I have been to. The examination process was thorough and informative. He shared the pictures taken of the inside of my eyes, explained what he was seeing, and discussed facets of my eye health. I have never before had an examination where I learned so much.Margaret was exceptional in assisting us in the selection of frames: she provided suggestions that complemented our faces, and was supportive and patient through indecisiveness.

My experience with optometrists have been largely meh, but Dr. Deviney is an exception.He takes pride in his work and it shows. One machine the staff used to examine my eyes, I had never seen before in my 30 years of life; its appearance suggests that it costs about as much as a small car. I was low-key shooketh.After I was examined by the tiny Ferrari, I met a blurry Dr. D; even with my contacts off, it was clear that he loves what he does, and he does it very well.

Came in for an eye exam and to get better, more custom prescription than my readers. Had a good experience with the doctor, but found the staff to be awkwardly curt during the fittings. Since it was my first pair of prescription glasses, I totally trusted the doctors assessment and let the staff suggest glasses and options. Upon picking up the glasses, they were unusable. I could not see a thing through them and my off-the-shelf readers were much better comparatively. I was charged quite a large sum for these glasses and had paid half up front. I did not want them and I knew they were wrong for me and told them I wanted a refund. Thats when the manager told me I had to pay a restocking fee. This hidden fee was not disclosed prior to purchase. The manager exhibited a level of rudeness in our interaction that revealed a lack of sensitivity to my needs while creating an artificial sense of a threatening scene. I was upset with his lack of addressing the actual situation with the skill of a professional manager, not letting me talk to the doctor, choosing instead to call the police. It was a humiliating, awkward, draining and exhausting experience that the manager could have avoided by employing effective customer communication. His insistence on my paying a restocking fee and lack of offering any other options, choosing instead to point a finger at my face and offer criticisms, benefited to the bad experience. Buyer beware! I would not choose this location again to render services and do not recommend them.

I picked this Olmos park office based off the ratings and location. As far as the optometrist I give him five stars, unfortunately I cannot say the same for the sales portion. The Hispanic female with highlights who helped us was very graceless and just seemed not to enjoy her job. I also felt as if she belittled my insurance plan in order to sell “their” product.We went back the next day to pick up the glasses and saw a scratch on the lens. I was extremely upset because 1. they are brand new and 2. Their product is supposed to be scratch resistant. So that made to believe either their lenses are not as marvelous as the sales representative said or the Technician did not care about his production.Long story short we will not be returning to this location.

Thorough exam, organized staff, engaged optometrist. I wouldnt say that this place is a bargain but they keep abreast of technology and assist you with rebates; I also found a Yelp coupon to use here. The doctor fitted me with a prescription that is a lot better than what I was wearing, gave me good advice on how to manage my myopia and reading strain without spending on higher-end lenses that manage both, and flagged some characteristics during my exam which required additional checking from an opthamologist.

This is my second time going to Jason Deviney, O.D. he is amazing at what he does. Outstanding can best describe him. He takes his time to make sure the right prescription for your glasses is made. He covers everything from the inside of your eye to the outside. One of my favorite things he says is this one or this one when he is switching the lenses. I had given this place a two star because I saw some weird customer service that needed to be fix from his staff. I went back and the office is completely renewed. I think they listened to the mistakes that they were making and they made the right changes. They are still some cons just like any other business they need to give us better cleaning cloths the ones they give you are cheap and dont work as great as great as hoya or crizal. Also a lens cleaning bottle every time for free with glasses included, the machine that takes pictures of the inside of the eye always catches my eye lashes which can be annoying. My favorite person on that team is M. She is the lady that helps you with glasses and she is really nice more controlled and methodical. Like I said this Dr. Jason does care about his patients and has a lot of patience his not going to remember you t-10 seconds he has a lot of customers but when you get your prescription and glasses I always feel satisfied. They always give me the prescription number so Im not to sure about what some of the people are talking about.

They wont give you your full prescription unless you buy glasses from them. Just a way to take money from patients.

They blend a perfect mix of customer service, professionalism, knowledge technology, and speed.The clinic itself is gorgeous — super clean, well-stocked with a wide array is stylish choices for glasses frames. The staff is professional and attentive, and you can tell this place runs like a well-oiled machine.They do exactly what they say, exactly when they say they are going to do it. I had forgotten to pick up a school excuse for my son after our appointment, and I made a quick phone call, and within minutes, I had the note in my email inbox!My appointment last week was awesome. The equipment is state-of-the-art — with two main sources of annoyance that I know many patients truly despise: (1) the “puff of air” for the glaucoma test and (3) the eyeball dial action, which MOT only burns, but causes light sensitivity, and prevents driving for the rest of the day — completely eradicatedRather than attempt to check eyeball pressures using a blast of air (that no one could ever seem to do to me), they literally “tickle” your eyelashes with a handheld, device that seems to have a gentle, protruding white probe that merely “tickles” your lashes. Sooooooo much better than the alternative.Then, there’s the dilation situation. Who wanted to get eye drops that burn, cause further pain through light sensitivity, and prevents them from driving? NOT ME, THANK YOU! Instead, pay a nominal fee (I paid $20), then place your eye on a cushy, silicone pad, and have a futuristic-looking, mega, Polaroid-ish camera take a quick photo of your retina by flashing a green light!!! It’s even easier for the doc to read, and he can show you! A God send!!!!They offer military discounts, and the highest quality eye wear available. I can’t wait to get my glasses!They are great with kiddos too. I brought my 9-yr old special needs kiddo, and the exam went as smooth as silk!The only caveat — “actually choosing only one pair of frames!!!”

Dr. Deviney and his staff were Attentive, assertive, efficient, and swift. I showed up for the appt. with about 5 minutes ahead of time. I have a busy schedule, and the office staff worked as if they knew that. It is very hard to find service like this nowadays. I was impressed with the eye wellness exam because it was very thorough. Today was my third annual comprehensive eye exam with Dr. Deviney. I keep coming back to Vision Source because its so easy to schedule an appointment, exams are always prompt and the office staff are awesome. Dr. Deviney is very personable and thorough with explaining each exam and then reviewing your results. The office staff is equally as helpful and friendly--Ariel has a keen eye and has helped pick out the best lenses that suit my style and face frame. I highly recommend this optometry office and wouldnt go anywhere else.

Dr. Deviney has been my eye doctor for 10 years. Every visit is thorough and I walk away feeling informed and well-taken care of. The staff at Vision Source-Olmos Park is stellar. They are efficient and always show me a caring level of customer service. On top of all that, I get DAILY compliments on my Prada frames. :)

My husband and I are recent new patients of Dr. Devineys and couldnt be more pleased. My husband was initially referred because of issues with vertigo, but in the process of watching him being tested, I realized that I too have had problems with balance and focus for a long time, so I made an appointment, too. Long story short- Dr Deviney fitted me with glasses with prisms and they have been absolutely life-changing! He is one of the most knowledgeable and thorough eye doctors we have ever seen and we recommend him highly.

Had a great appointment. Made my appointment Saturday because my glasses broke and they had me in Monday at 11:00. I was inquiring about contacts and glasses . Dr. Deviney got me in a pair of trial contacts same day amd ordered my new Polo lenses which should be ready i just a couple of day! He was very informative and made me feel comfortable. Great pricing and they took my insurance. Conveniently located to where you live. 5 stars all the way.

In 20 years this is the shortest wait I have ever had for an appointment. The staff was very nice and professional.

My 8yr old daughter was having trouble seeing. The first optometrist we saw immediately told us she needed to see a specialist. I found Dr. Deviney online amd made an appt. He truly was amazing. He first didnt give up on my daughters eyes or immediatly turn us away. He did several eye tests and was able to figure out her prescription and the issue of her eyes. He made us feel comfortable and throughly explained to me what he was doing and how the tests help him. She now can see VERY WELL and I would recommend him to others. The staff is nice, office is very clean, and well organized. Thank you guys!!

I would highly recommend, I developed an eye infection on a late Friday night, I went to the website and placed a request for an appointment and listed my problems and submitted it thinking I would not recieve a call until Monday as I have NEVER gotten a quick response at ANY physicians office. I set my alarm to wake me right at opening to place a live call to the office...I didnt need to! I received a call from Dr. Devineys office 15 minuters before they opened and was given an appointment to be seen on SATURDAY!!! The gentleman who called was very professional, polite and very accommadating. I arrived at the office and was greeted, treated and released in a very timely manner and with nothing but professionalism. I am totally imporessed with the Doctor and his entire staff. Too bad we dont have more of this type of professionalism inthe medical field
