I was pleasantly surprised to not only see staff working the floor, but I was offered help by not 1, not 2 but 3 different sales associates! It has been a long time since they have had more than checkout or stickers working this North Star Mall staple store. Great experience that felt like pre-Covid days when we could talk to and approach others without judging glares. Id loved that employees were available to help me find my purchases and now my son can go to his homecoming in style!

When looking for clothes for a size 10 girl, this place had a low selection of dresses. Its not what it used to be. They did have lots of Barbie toys and other accessories.

Selection of merchandise was great and sales were tremendous. However staffing was limited.

I love this place!! Found a prom dress in less than 30 minutes. They had so many beautiful dresses . My daughter chose 4 and fell in love with 1. The price was amazing, a $250 dress and payed a little over $50. Also found a sun dress for grad pictures, nice sandals to pair with it. I highly recommend!!

Clothing was sub-par quality and I couldnt find anything to fit my tastes. Seem to be catering to guests over 50.

Cathy at the customer service was amazing! She helped me with my return. Super helpful and friendly!! Did you know that you dont need your debit card to return items? After the return it automatically goes to the card during the initial purchase. How awesome!

Went to take photos for my sons first birthday and wasn’t happy with the service the lady coaching the photographer was very unfriendly. She was snappy with the girl taking the photos telling her not to retake photos and seemed to be rushing the session. When me and my husband tried getting our sons attention to smile she told us not to. She just seemed to be miserable and bring the whole mood down. Was also on her phone having some sort of discrepancy.

I have a JCP card and Ive remained loyal for the most part. This particular store was not stellar and the AC wasnt working! The dressing room was a freaking furnace. I found what I needed but I wont return to this store.

Went back because I hadnt shopped there in a long time. Sentimental choice because I grew up with them when everybody shopped there. Still a good, clean store with great inventory. Hope these stores get a miracle and stay open. Always a wonderful shopping experience.

The store was well kept up and staff were friendly. The downside of it, there isnt much selection for big and tall clothing.

They have mothers day coupons that can be used in store and online, and they are applied to EACH item (restrictions apply - brands, departments, etc.). I calculated my items using the app, which was less than the in store prices. The cashier was able to match the online price (Yay!).There are huge stock discrepancies between online/app vs in store items. When shopping online, 3 of the 4 items I selected, were NOT available at the nearest store (based on the app and online). However, while I was at the store, I confirmed ALL 4 of the items were available, in at least 5 or more sizes (including, my size). There were MORE than enough of the items, to fill my online order (pick up, etc.).Recommendation: If you want a particular item that you saw online, visit your local store to confirm that it is/isnt in stock.

2nd floor garage entrance register north star mall. Employee, Older gentleman. Stocky, dirty water blond hair. Very feminine. He wasnt pleasant by any means. As were trying to have our coupons scanned to see what the register would accept. He starts making faces and exhales with a sigh of irritation. We asked a coupon / discount question. This JCP Associate Rep gives me and my wife a look as if we stomped on his foot.Im only glad James Cash Penny himself wasnt there to witness a customer being treated as such. It shows disrespect to be rude. If he was having a bad day he should have called in. If your displeased with your job. I guarantee you wont provide a quality service. A customer in the store. I dont care if they ask a coupon question or ask for the rest room. Customers are to be treated with kindness and respect. After all, we are providing store sales to allow him a paycheck. With that being said. I do believe Macys is have a one day sale.

They open at 11 and had 1 register open. There was a L.O.D. on duty very helpful and friendly on the 1st floor. Shes the reason I bought as much as I did.

OMG, the prices were incredible! I got a CK purse and some shoes for just over $80. The only thing is, make sure you are patient because you may have to wait in line for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Otherwise, there are deals to be made.

Easy system for picking up shirts I ordered online.

I absolutely love the deals at JCPenny. I need semi business comfortable petite clothes. This JC Penny has tons of petite selections compared to others. For the price I can sit comfortable in front of the computer all day and still look fresh!! Walking during my breaks with these clothes too. I love the clothes perfect for work and not to hoochie!!

Variety of products and in store sales make it interesting if you are bargain hunting.

I went to return and or exchange my suit and I wasnt able to find my correct size but the customer service rep helped return my items with no problems.

I always have a great experience at JCP, its my go to store for Levis.

Very poor customer service. I went to buy a bed frame and sale person. Simply replied that what I wanted did not exist to her knowledge. It did exist she was not educated in her line of work. After using her loud voice, she then easy down and she told me that I educated her. I wanted to Walk away, but yes they did have a great sale! If I knew I could of done it all on line I would of. My mistake 🙃

When it says it closes at 7 they close at 7, so even if youre parked right on the other side get ready to walk alone in the dark. I work retail so I completely understand not wanting customers in cause then you have people walking around looking when its 30 past close, but if its just to go to your car I feel like you should be allowed to go through. Its dangerous especially if youre a woman, alone, walking through a parking garage from way on the other side with a bunch of bags/product. Jcpenney is a big store, macys and dillards allow customers to go through and when I tried asking the association she very rudely told me to go around and shut the gate.

Pennys is Pennys. Great prices and friendly staff. My only complaint is really the same for most retailers in this class. Central checkouts are bad. Especially during the Pandemic. Lines are longer than the marked 6 spaceing markers and those people are all crammed together. Shoppers are constantly trying to pass through the line, spaced or crammed sections alike. Why am I standing in a line with one cashier when there are 2 people back in the department I came from with nothing to do?

Dont forget the salon we do all kinds of hair from color to natural. Fades hot towels and I also offer neck and shoulder massage with fades. Fort Sam Houston I know you have alot of natural ladies, and I know that alot of gents dont care for the same fades well Im local and GOOOD #FORTSAMHOUSTON #LACKLAND

I honestly can’t remember the last time I have had such a great experience in a JCPENNEY. The store is huge and a lot more fancier then other locations. Then I realized looking into the history of the mall that this anchor used to be a Marshall Fields, then Macy’s. Ahhhh that makes sense. Classy and well stocked store.

Bought 2 pair of pants and 4 shirts and only spent 70 bucks!! Their clearance sale is amazing!!!

Honestly, it looks like JC Penny is turning things around. I purchased two items straight up with discounts along with a caring attitude from the salesperson. Hopefully, the recent accusation by the two purchasing companies is going to make it back a the JCPennys we all grew up knowing. Thank you!

Nice store inside of Northstar Mall. Well kept. Workers were very attentive and made an active effort to ask if I needed anything and to keep their areas neat. Good prices too, everywhere you look there is a sale and its all good quality stuff.

I love JCPenny for their prices, and their selection of clothing. We stopped in at Macys and the differences are huge. The racks at Macys are thread bare. My big gripe though was checking out, there was one check out on the main floor, seriously. 2 young ladies and one poor girl kept getting tied up with nightmare customers; oh that price was this or that on EVERY ITEM, then the next one, I think I have a rewards card, try this number, no this number, you get the idea. Anyways that left the other cashier to check out the other customers and God forbid one of them had a problem. It just wasnt a glorious experience, not the cashiers fault at all, not once were they rude, Ive worked retail, Im posting this to let CORPORATE KNOW, HELP THE LITTLE PEOPLE OUT. HIRE HELP.

Excellent customer service from Cyann working as cashier (Im sorry if I spelled ur name wrong) I needed help with a specific item which they had every size in stock upset the size I needed.. so she took care of it right away by checking n making sure they did or did not have it at all in stock then placing the order for it online & ended up saving even more on it with a coupon that was available n she offered it to me.. its just very rare nowadays to receive Excellent customer service so I appreciate it very much..
