Gunn Honda in San Antonio has a great service center. Rosa went beyond her commitment and got me over to the express side to address my problem. Danny was able to get my skip plate secured and I was back to pick up within 2 hrs. I love my 2013 Honda Accord. And I definitely loved my 2003 Honda Accord. Excellent service teams since buying my first Honda.
Polite and professional staff. Did a great job on my vehicle. I had b1 service minder completed to include some brakes and brake fluid service. Toni went over everything with me. I was there longer than I thought I’d have to be, but at least the place is clean and has water, coffee, tv, and workstations available. So it was a pleasant experience. I feel like I can trust my vehicle repairs with them.
The service is was good overall but it took 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation, even with an appointment. I understand Saturday’s are busy, and I could have dropped it off instead of waiting, but what’s the point of an appointment if you still have to wait so long? Either they overbook or they follow a first come first serve approach, so what’s the point of scheduling appointments?
Gunn Honda made it quick and easy to when it was time to purchase the car that I wanted, Craig was great and helped me out through the whole process. The car needed some recalls done, Craig kept me updated when the car was going to be ready. I would recommend purchasing a new or used car from this Gunn dealership.
I bought a used van there in 2019. This was my first experience buying a used vehicle and it will be my last at Gunn Honda. I was told the warranty on the van was for just 3 months. I asked the salesman what happens afterwards. He said with the van having over 100k miles it would either hold up or go down hill. Thinking I was buying from a reputable Honda dealer I had trust the van I was being sold was kept up and would last. Not only did I over pay for a high milaged vehicle it was never kept up by the previous owner, like never serviced! I had to bring it back to Gunn the first week to get re-detailed because it was so dirty. It has been a complete nightmare these past two years as I have poured money into the van with repairs and new parts. I have 4 kids, and unfortunately this summer the van broke down and we were stranded out in the heat until a friend was able to pick us up. This is not okay. I should have known better to put my trust into a company who is just trying to make quick money and not care about the life investment and relationships they could be making. The van has needed a new battery and alternator and is currently misfiring and has been in shop twice as another Honda deal is trying to find out what is wrong with it. We commute to work and we are currently left with one car. I am extremely unhappy with my purchase and the service I have received at Gunn Honda.

I went to Gunn Honda for the first time since I lived in New York previously and Rosa my representative at Gunn Honda was excellent and I’m top of everything Showing me what’s being done and what eventually might have to be done and how much it would cost and Rosa even got me out in time to go to my next appointment. Alexis, My service advisor, was quick to have my vehicle brought in and diagnosed. He informed me that the two OEM parts needed for the upper AC were on delayed ordering like most are experiencing. He tried to have two after market parts fix the AC issue but they did not fit. We waited nearly a month for both parts to come in, but when they did Alexis didn’t hesitate to get them installed and had the other issues amended. Alexis stayed in touch with me weekly to keep me updated. I appreciate Alexis and his service parts manager who helped get my Pilot back on the road at a discount.
Waiting 3 hours, cars not fixed, and Alex says maybe the problem has something to do with the way I drive....Im reminded of why I stopped coming to Gunn Honda for service.

Mom and I bought her Honda CRV from Gunn, and have consistently been happy with their work. On the ONLY occasion we had a problem, the General Manager bent over backwards to make it right. This service was a warranty repair, and the service department was efficient and communicated the overnight delay waiting for parts promptly. Very happy customer.
We own a 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite, bought at this dealership, Gunn Honda. It currently has 77,000 miles on it, so we thought it would be time to change the timing belt (July 2021). If you look on line, it says that timing belts for this vehicle should be replaced between 60,000 and 100,000 miles, closer to 60,000 miles if the vehicle is used in hot climates. The Odyssey also has an Interference engine, which means that if the timing belt breaks, you will incur major damage to the engine (you may have to replace the entire engine). So, we thought it was time to replace the belt, as we certainly dont want to risk ruining the engine.It just so happened that we received a promotional flyer in the mail stating that for any repair over $780, we would receive an $80 promotional discount.We called first to find out what it would cost to have this service done (so that the price would not be increased by $80 before we told them we had a discount coupon). We were told it would cost $1,180 to have this service done, pretty steep in our opinion. Nevertheless, we made an appointment and took the vehicle to the dealership. As required, we presented them with the coupon when checking in with the car.When we picked it up, the first odd thing on the invoice was that it stated customer request (sic) timing belt to be replaced early. That was strange, as 77,000 miles certainly did not seem early in hot Texas weather with the recommended replacement being between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. Second, the bill came to $1,180.92. We asked about our discount and service advisor Alexis Mendoza stated that it was applied. However, Alexis told us the bill was higher because their quote did not include $39.00 for shop supplies and $40.42 for taxes! Interestingly enough, that adds up to about the $80 discount coupon! We think Gunn Hondas practices of quoting prices are deceiving and wrong! When we call a dealership and ask what it costs to do a repair, we expect the invoice to be the price which was quoted. It would have been a different matter if, when we asked for a quote, we were told that: The service comes to $1,180, but there will be additional charges for shop supplies and the quote also does not include taxes. None of that was ever mentioned. We feel cheated and deceived and will never take our vehicle back to Gunn Honda, nor will we ever buy a new vehicle at Gunn Honda again. We dont like dishonest deceiving people and we dont do business with them...
Went recently for my vehicles maintenance minder service and it was great. Quick and easy. I have the Honda care maintenance plan and it was all taken care of at this dealership with no additional cost to me.
Joe Toepfer was my service rep and as usual he was great. The work requested was done; a suggestion was made for a recommended additional item; but no pressure was applied when I said I would wait until next time.

I got my Honda pilot in 2019. I bought it brand new from Gunn Honda. Overall my experience with Gunn has been very good. Ive only had to bring my pilot in on an annual basis for routine maintenance, but they seem to get you in and out in a decent amount of time. Theyre low pressure on their sales, too. That makes it a lot less stressful than other experiences Ive had with dealers.

I asked the salesman to send a purchase order on Monday and to my surprise found an extra $2500 added. So I declined. I called Gunn on the same Monday morning and David took my call and found the color 2021 Accord. No hastle and no surprises when I received the purchase order. He came through. We were helped by David and he was able to get us a test drive by ourselves and made the buying process very simple. We are sure to come back whenever we need another car.
Normally Gunn Honda has pretty good service. This last time I took it in mainly for ac repairs, I added other minor issues I had with the vehicle. The minor issues were taken care of quickly. The ac issue took about a week and I still cant tell if it was actually fixed completely. I dont drive my vehicle that often and when I do drive the vehicle the ac doesnt seem to work that well. It was an expensive repair that I had a coupon for that they failed to redeem. The experience was not great and I hope I dont have to go back anytime soon.
I used the Gunn Honda Express Lane to get the oil changed in my daughter’s car. Dennis and his team were very helpful and got the vehicle taken care of quickly. They suggested other work that might need to be done on the car, but did not pressure me about these additional services. The waiting room was clean and pleasant. I would use Gunn’s Express Lane again
The salesman, Zviad, was very helpful and straightforward. He answered my questions fully. Z was easy to work with and I never felt pressured. He let me take my time to make my decision.
Always greeted in service department promptly and efficiently. Have pleasant and clean waiting area and table/benches outside as well. Service personnel are knowledgeable, and noticed grounds keepers seemed to take pride in their work and appearance. Noticed coworkers pleasant to each other as well. Gunn Honda is a business I enjoy returning to and have felt service issues have solved any issues I have had with my car.

Amazing customer service when utilizing Gunn Honda’s Service Department! I called Gunn Honda service first thing in the morning, and was greeted by a very professional and helpful young man who skillfully offered me an appointment for maintenance or an invitation to utilize the walk-in ‘express service lane.’ I opted to utilize the express lane, and was greeted by a Honda service representative who was incredibly a welcoming and kind. He informed me of the potential wait time, and pointed out multiple sitting areas while I waited. Luckily my total wait time was only 45 minutes. Very impressed by the service I received from Gunn Honda.

Gunn Honda does a thorough job, very courteous employees, tends to what needs addressing. We had a 30K mile check & oil change. Took a reasonable time to complete. Alexis was very helpful, Gunn does a good job on service work, we are very pleased with them.
Excellent service as always. If youre looking for a brand that Gunn services, use them, best dealer in town. This was my fifth Gunn purchase or lease, and yet again I experienced no pressure, they found the Honda make/model/colors I wanted and had it on site in 2 days, and I paid less than expected. They pay their people salary, not commission, and it makes a huge difference.
Sales guy was great but after checking with my bank and both of my credit unions we were clearly screwed on the interest rate that we received. This is three strikes for their finance department, seeing as they are selling everything at full price I can get the same deal elsewhere without taking it in the shorts by their finance guy. They are clearly just chasing profits and using the lender with the highest kickback. Also the finance guy was supposed to look into a previous warranty that I had purchased from the dealership and a week later he has not bothered to get back to me. Very unprofessional!

I’m very disappointed in the service and sales department at Gunn Honda. I just paid 1500.00 for a leaking head gasket which I know didn’t just happen in the last 6 months 4 cracked boots under the front which also didn’t just happen in the last 6 months and the next time I go in because I ran out of funds that day the brake fluid and a couple other things need to be done. It’s a shame I’m a repeat customer and I thought they at least inspected the vehicle before selling it. I know “as is” is as is but come on I expect to drive a car at least a year before having major repairs. A Dissatisfied customer.

Have been using Gunn Honda for past 15 years. Always find Service Department works hard to figure out exactly what my vehicle needs and does not try to “upsell” me on anything I don’t need. Waiting times are sometimes a bit long and unpredictable (my only complaint) but it’s worth it for the service.

There was no pressure on purchasing extras and since I’m on a budget I was grateful for that. Nice waiting area inside and plenty of relaxing waiting areas outside as well. We’ll definitely bring our Honda’s to Gunn Honda for future services and maintenance.
The One Simple Price is a double-edged sword. It’s nice to know that the sales people are not working on a standard commission structure but at the same time, the “no-haggling” goes both ways and they won’t budge even if you show them the valid reasons why they should, like minor hail damage.Sarah was very nice and helpful through our whole process. The only 2 issues, which were pretty significant, were 1)I was told specifically that the credit check would be a “soft” pull and it was in fact a credit-score impacting “hard” pull. So it would’ve been nice to know since I arrived at the dealer pre-approved with my own bank and ended up going with them anyway. So the credit check they did was unnecessary . And 2), I was NOT clearly informed that the extended warranty was being ADDED to the loan but rather what was emphasized was my monthly payment and not the extra $2k being added to my loan. I was actually under the impression that my bank was providing it. So instead of seeing around a $6k loan on my online banking days after my purchase, I see a loan for over $9k! I called the dealer and said I didn’t feel properly informed, although it technically was my signature on the docs. I was then told I had 30 days to remove it if I chose.I also inquired about the blue book value of vehicle i wanted to purchase. I was told that blue book is “all over the place” and that they don’t go by that. However, there was hung a giant poster which said “We(Gunn) will make a Blue-Book offer on your vehicle.” Are they still using that if it’s “all over the place”? So that seemed pretty inconsistent.Overall, considering I hadn’t been in a dealership in over 10 years, I was able to give GUNN HONDA 4 out of 5 stars.

I recently bought a used Honda and was unfamiliar with the fast lane process to have my oil changed. I was there at 7:00am and was third in line. The service man that helped me did not say good morning just asked what I was there for. When I told him that this was my first time there he seemed a bit put off because he had to obtain and write down more info on me. My car was finished within 45 mins but it was parked for 15 mins until my paperwork was finished and I was checked out. I asked 2 servicemen if I could check out and both never even looked up from what they were doing to acknowledge me just told me to wait someone would be with me. The cherry in the cake was that I finally was checked out and I drove off. I got on the highway and they had not closed my hood properly and it started to wave up and down, I had to pull over and close it correctly. This in my opinion was my worst experience and will continue to use the Easy Lube down the street at least I know I will have a much better experience and feel safer driving away!

Update!!!I finally received a response and got my questions answered but only after I left a few reviews places. I am satisfied now that my question has been answered. I am just disappointed that my inquiry was not taken seriously until I left reviews. I love my new car and when the sales team does finally reach out to you after emails and leaving negative reviews, they give you all the info you could want or need.We had already known which vehicle we wanted to purchase and we decided to purchase through Gunn Honda because of their one simple price. We talked to the online salesman, Tim, and agreed upon a price for the vehicle. Once we were transferred to the financing manager, Michael, the financing process felt rushed. It appears there was a miscommunication between the sales price we had agreed upon with Tim and what Michael listed on our documents. Unfortunately since it was late and we were rushed through the financing process, we did not catch that the price had been changed. I initially emailed Tim about the issue to verify the price of the vehicle that we had originally agreed upon. We did not receive a copy of that document, however, I did sign it to verify that I agreed upon the price. Tim stated that he needed Michael to review the information. Tim later stated that Michael was informed of our inquiry and would review our documents and then call us. I never received a phone call. So I emailed Tim, Michael, and the General Manager, Mark and have yet to receive a response from any of them. I feel like I have been scammed. I guess after you buy the car, they no longer care because prior to buying the car, I received numerous emails from Gunn Honda.

The Best Dealership in Texas! So far my family and I have purchased 4 vehicles here, and never once had any issues. On our most recent purchase May 25th, 2021, the salesman Steven Galvan made our experience awesome. He provided multiple options and was very communicative and easy going. I caught Gunn on a slow day and had an amazing experience from dropping off my car to receiving a temporary vehicle so they could hold my car overnight to make sure the detailing was done properly. I worked with Manny and was very pleased with my service. I would recommend trying to schedule service on a slow day. I have been when it gets busy and my experience has been not as good.

I have to say this is the first time I was disappointed with Gunn Honda. I called and made an appointment to get a flat tire looked at. After sitting for little over an hour they come out and tell me I have two tires with nails. And none of it could be repaired so had to have new tires. Why it took over an hour to tell me this when I had a scheduled appointment.....Then with every car I have ever owned I have been told that new tires should always be left and right either front or back but Left and Right. they put both tires on the left side of the car. I also was charged for an alignment. I had just done one few months prior with oil change. He said they recommend you do this after getting new tires, I have never ever had to do this before. Then I was informed that they capped off my fluids as well. LIE! Im driving home and put on the windshield wipers and it was bone dry as it was when I arrived there. I am furious. I had a friend who left Gunn after bragging about them for years as well. What is going on???

Hello I went for my oil change on 6/5/21 and had a horrible experience. I had called the week before I went in and asked if I could go in for an oil change and I was told I can but it would be a 3 hour wait so I was told it be best to schedule an appointment which I did on the same call with a different department also that same department told me Id be covered for my oil change. I get there the day of my appointment and was STILL TOLD THERE WOULD BE A 3 HOUR WAIT and keep in mind my appointment was at 9:15 AM I didnt leave till 11:50am . I was so upset because I was told to schedule an appointment. Also when I was in the service lane the young lady told me.. well in order to get the oil change covered (which the Awnser service at Honda Gunn told me I was) she said we need to file a claim with my warranty which is through master tech.. and due to it being a day after the holiday they werent open they were closed. So I had to pay the 80.09. Out of pocket and I was told through the dealership after so many miles before I was covered. The service was horrible took so long and so unorganized and such a disappointment.. this should of been resolved before I went to my appointment and I was given wrong info and I dont know how to get reimbursed.

I pulled up to the Service Reception only to find out I was in the wrong lane. 😅 I needed to go to the Express Service for a dead battery.A rep (Bobby P) drove my car to the right place, replaced my battery in about 30 minutes despite there being a line.I paid close $200 for a new battery and installation.For the service they had provided, I couldnt be happier.I love Gunn Honda!

They finished some routine maintenance and the car is running better. The gentleman I was working with was friendly enough but there was such a lack of proactive communication, I had to keep calling them to check on my car over and over again. I will not have my car serviced there again. It took them about four or five days to even diagnose the issue, and even after all that time they were not 100% sure what was wrong with my car. So being without a car for that long and not having a loner vehicle was very onerous.

I have been doing business with Gunn Honda since I purchased my first Honda Civic S in 1984. Your dealership was on Bandera Rd. at that time. Over the years I have purchased several Honda’s from your dealership. My family and friends have purchased several cars from Gunn Honda as well, because I have shared with them that the buying experience and service has been superior to the other Honda dealerships in San Antonio.
The staff is super friendly but I don’t understand why my basic oil change should take 3 hours. I never get in and out of here in a reasonable amount of time.
Rosa is amazing! If she says she’s going to do something she does it. She’s an big part of why I continue to do business there.

The last two times I needed my Civic serviced, Gunn Honda, especially Robert, has been exceptional in their service for my car, especially my recent visit to get an oil change. When Robert told me of my car battery acting weird, it was replaced free of charge due to the 3 year warranty still applying. Their COVID safety measures were also exceptional as well. Service from them is far more reasonable than a third party maintenance shop.
Very happy with the service. I wasn’t really sure on what type of car should I get, so I answered a few questions and they showed me what might fit me best. Answering to all of my queries about the different features, and guided me through the buying process.
My sales representative, Howard Shorter, was extremely courteous, prodessionsl and demonstrated a thourough knowledge of all matters related to the car I purchased and cars in general.
